1Numerical Simulation of Characteristics of CEX Ions in Ion Thruster Optical System显示文摘Charge exchange(CEX) ions could inflict severe damages on the ion thruster optical system.This article is aimed at investigating the characteristics of the CEX ions and their influences upon the optical system by means of particle-incell(PIC) ion simulation and Monte Carlo collision(MCC) methods.The results from numerical simulation indicate that despite the fact that CEX ions appear in the entire beamlet region near the ion optical system,the ones that present themselves downstream of the accelerator grid have good reason for attracting more attention.As their trajectories are significantly affected by the local electric field,a great number of CEX ions are accelerated toward grids resulting in sputtering erosion.When the influences of the CEX ions are considered in the numerical simulation,there could hardly be observed augments in the screen grid current,but the accelerator grid current increases from zero to 1.4% of the beamlet current.It can be understood from the numerical simulation that the CEX ions formed in the region far downstream of the accelerator grid should be blamed for the erosion on the downstream surface of the accelerator grid.Zhong Lingwei Liu Yu Li Juan Gu Zuo Jiang Haocheng Wang Haixing Tang Haibin 2010Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2010,23,1:5
2Lateral Hypothalamic Area Glutamatergic Neurons and Their Projections to the Lateral Habenula Modulate the Anesthetic Potency of Isoflurane in Mice显示文摘The lateral hypothalamic area(LHA)plays a pivotal role in regulating consciousness transition,in which orexinergic neurons,GABAergic neurons,and melanin-concentrating hormone neurons are involved.Glutamatergic neurons have a large population in the LHA,but their anesthesia-related effect has not been explored.Here,we found that genetic ablation of LHA glutamatergic neurons shortened the induction time and prolonged the recovery time of isoflurane anesthesia in mice.In contrast,chemogenetic activation of LHA glutamatergic neurons increased the time to anesthesia and decreased the time to recovery.Optogenetic activation of LHA glutamatergic neurons during the maintenance of anesthesia reduced the burst suppression pattern of the electroencephalogram(EEG)and shifted EEG features to an arousal pattern.Photostimulation of LHA glutamatergic projections to the lateral habenula(LHb)also facilitated the emergence from anesthesia and the transition of anesthesia depth to a lighter level.Collectively,LHA glutamatergic neurons and their projections to the LHb regulate anesthetic potency and EEG features.Shiyi Zhao Rui Li Huiming Li Sa Wang Xinxin Zhang Dan Wang Juan Guo Huihui Li Ao Li Tingting Tong Haixing Zhong Qianzi Yang Hailong Dong 2021Neuroscience Bulletin2021,37,7:5
3Molecular tagging techniques and their applications to the study of complex thermal flow phenomena1,211显示文摘This review article reports the recent progress in the development of a new group of molecule-based flow diagnostic techniques, which include molecular taggingvelocimetry(MTV)andmoleculartaggingthermometry(MTT), for both qualitative flow visualization of thermally induced flow structures and quantitative whole-fiel measurementsofflowvelocityandtemperaturedistributions.The MTV and MTT techniques can also be easily combined to result in a so-called molecular tagging velocimetry and thermometry(MTV&T) technique, which is capble of achieving simultaneousmeasurementsofflowvelocityandtemperature distribution in flui flows. Instead of using tiny particles, the molecular tagging techniques(MTV, MTT, and MTV&T)use phosphorescent molecules, which can be turned into long-lasting glowing marks upon excitation by photons of appropriate wavelength, as the tracers for the flow velocity and temperature measurements. 4DID Code:A Bridge Connecting the Materials Genome Engineering Database w让h Inheritable Integrated Intelligent Manufacturing显示文摘A data identifier(DID)is an essential tag or label in all kinds of databases—particularly those related to integrated computational materials engineering(ICME),inheritable integrated intelligent manufacturing(I3M),and the Industrial Internet ofThings.With the guidance and quick acceleration of the developme nt of advanced materials,as envisioned by official documents worldwide,more investigations are required to construct relative numerical standards for material informatics.This work proposes a universal DID format consisting of a set of build chains,which aligns with the classical form of identifier in both international and national standards,such as ISO/IEC 29168-1:2000,GB/T 27766-2011,GA/T 543.2-2011,GM/T 0006-2012,GJB 7365-2011,SL 325-2014,SL 607-201&WS 363.2-2011,and QX/T 39-2005.Each build chain is made up of capital letters and numbers,with no symbols.Moreover,the total length of each build chain is not restricted,which follows the formation of the Universal Coded Character Set in the international standard of ISO/IEC 10646.Based on these rules,the proposed DID is flexible and convenient for extendi ng and sharing in and between various cloud-based platforms.Accordingly,classical two-dimensional(2D)codes,including the Hanxin Code,Lots Perception Matrix(LP)Code,Quick Response(Q.R)code,Grid Matrix(GM)code,and Data Matrix(DM)Code,can be constructed and precisely recognized and/or decoded by either smart phones or specific machines.By utilizing these 2D codes as the fingerprints of a set of data linked with cloud-based platforms,progress and updates in the composition-processing-structure-property-performance workflow process can be tracked spontaneously,paving a path to accelerate the discovery and manufacture of advanced materials and enhance research productivity,performance,and collaboration.William Yi Wang Peixuan Li Deye Lin Bin Tang Jun Wang Quanmei Guan Qian Ye Haixing Dai Jun Gao Xiaoli Fan Hongchao Kou Haifeng Song Feng Zhou Jijun Ma Zi-Kui Liu Jinshan Li Weimin Liu 2020Engineering2020,6,6:4
5The next detectors for gravitational wave astronomy显示文摘This paper focuses on the next detectors for gravitational wave astronomy which will be required after the current ground based detectors have completed their initial observations, and probably achieved the first direct detection of gravitational waves. The next detectors will need to have greater sensitivity, while also enabling the world array of detectors to have improved angular resolution to allow localisation of signal sources. Sect. 1 of this paper begins by reviewing proposals for the next ground based detectors,and presents an analysis of the sensitivity of an 8 km armlength detector, which is proposed as a safe and cost-effective means to attain a 4-fold improvement in sensitivity. The scientific benefits of creating a pair of such detectors in China and Australia is emphasised. Sect. 2 of this paper discusses the high performance suspension systems for test masses that will be an essential component for future detectors, while sect. 3 discusses solutions to the problem of Newtonian noise which arise from fluctuations in gravity gradient forces acting on test masses. Such gravitational perturbations cannot be shielded, and set limits to low frequency sensitivity unless measured and suppressed. Sects. 4 and 5 address critical operational technologies that will be ongoing issues in future detectors. Sect. 4 addresses the design of thermal compensation systems needed in all high optical power interferometers operating at room temperature. Parametric instability control is addressed in sect. 5. Only recently proven to occur in Advanced LIGO, parametric instability phenomenon brings both risks and opportunities for future detectors. The path to future enhancements of detectors will come from quantum measurement technologies. 9Changes of plant species diversity and biomass with reclaimed marshes restoration显示文摘Wetland restoration had been implemented for more than two decades in Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China.To assess the restoration effi ciency of wetland vegetation,we investigated plants composition of community,plant species diversity and aboveground biomass of restored sites in a chronosequence of restoration(1,2,3,6,8,11,15 and 25 years)in the Sanjiang Nature Reserve.As comparison,we also investigated the same factors in a cropland and a natural marsh adjacent to the restored sites.The results showed that wetland plant species can invade quickly after croplands were abandoned when there were suitable hydrology conditions.On the early stage of the restoration,weeds were main plant species in the restored sites.Wetland species appeared at the same time but diff ered from the dominant species from the adjacent natural marshes.Common native wetland species could dominance the community after 3-year restoration.Species richness and diversity increased on the early stage,and then decreased to the similar level of the natural marsh with the extension of restoration.Plant biomass could restore easier than the species composition and diversity.Our results indicated that plant species composition and diversity of abandoned reclaimed wetlands can restore gradually by natural succession in Sanjiang Plain.However,25-year restoration site had similarity index of only 56%with the natural marsh,which revealed that two decades are not enough for complete restoration of vegetation.Xin Jin Xiaoxin Sun Haixing Li Danhui Zhao Dong Li Lei Wang Xiuling Man 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,1:2

15Dynamic visual simulation of marine vector field based on LIC——a case study of surface wave field in typhoon condition显示文摘Line integral convolution(LIC)is a useful visualization technique for a vector field.However,the output image produced by LIC has many problems in a marine vector field.We focus on the visual quality improvement when LIC is applied in the ocean steady and unsteady flow field in the following aspects.When a white noise is used as the input in a steady flow field,interpolation is used to turn the discrete white noise into continuous white noise to solve the problem of discontinuity.The'cross'high-pass filtering is used to enhance the textures of streamlines to be more concentrated and continuity strengthened for each streamline.When a sparse noise is used as the input in a steady flow field,we change the directions of background sparse noise according to the directions of vector field to make the streamlines clearer and brighter.In addition,we provide a random initial phase for every streamline to avoid the pulsation effect during animation.The velocities of vector field are encoded in the speed of the same length streamlines so that the running speed of streamlines can express flow rate.Meanwhile,to solve the problem of obvious boundaries when stitching image,we change the streamline tracking constraints.When a white noise is used as an input in an unsteady flow field,double value scattering is used to enhance the contrast of streamlines;moreover,the'cross'high-pass filtering is also adopt instead of two-dimensional high-pass filtering.Finally,we apply the above methods to a case of the surface wave field in typhoon condition.Our experimental results show that applying the methods can generate high-quality wave images and animations.Therefore,it is helpful to understand and study waves in typhoon condition to avoid the potential harm of the waves to people's lives and property.LIU Zhendong LIU Haixing SU Tianyun JIA Zhen LI Xinfang ZHOU Lin SONG Zhuanling 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,6:1
