1The Relationship between the “Green-Bean Rock” Layers and Conodont Chiosella timorensis and Implications on Defining the Early–Middle Triassic Boundary in the Nanpanjiang Basin, South China显示文摘The Triassic 'Green-bean Rock'(GBR) layers were widely recognized around the Early–Middle Triassic boundary interval in the Nanpanjiang Basin, South China. To determine the precise relationship between the GBR layers and the first appearance datum(FAD) of the conodont Chiosella timorensis, four Lower–Middle Triassic sections from the Nanpanjiang Basin, including the Gaimao, Bianyang II, Zuodeng and Wantou sections have been studied in detail. Detailed conodont biostratigraphy convinces us that there is no exact temporal relationship between the GBR layers and first occurrence of Ch. timorensis. Moreover, the numbers of the GBR layers are different from the place to place within the Nanpanjiang Basin, and the time span of the GBR layers was much longer than previously estimated. 2Latest Wuchiapingian to Earliest Triassic Conodont Zones and δ13 Ccarb Isotope Excursions from Deep-Water Sections in Western Hubei Province, South China显示文摘Deep-water facies sections have advantages of recording complete information across the Permian-Triassic boundary(PTB). Here we present a detailed study on the conodont biostratigraphy and carbon isotope profile ranges from the Wuchiapingian-Changhsingian boundary(WCB) to the PTB of two deep-water facies sections at Zhuqiao and Shiligou in the Middle Yangtze region, western Hubei, South China. Fifteen species and three genera are identified. Eight conodont zones are recognized which in ascending order are the Clarkina orientalis, C. wangi, C. subcarinata, C. changxingensis, C. yini, C. meishanensis, Hindeodus parvus and Isarcicella isarcica zones. The onset of deposition of the deep-water siliceous strata of Dalong Formation in western Hubei began in the Late Wuchiapingian and persisted to the Late Changhsingian. Carbon isotope negative excursions occur near both the WCB and PTB in both sections. The WCB δ13 Ccarb negative excursion is in the C. orientalis and C. wangi zones. The PTB δ13 Ccarb negative excursion began in the C. yini Zone and extended to the I. isarcica Zone. The absence of several Changhsingian zones may indicate the difficulty of extracting conodonts from siliceous strata or the presence of an intra-Changhsingian hiatus.Bo Yang Hanxiao Li Paul B. 3A meta-analysis of experimental warming effects on woody plant growth and photosynthesis in forests显示文摘Increasing field experiments have been conducted in forests to better understand the response of plant growth and photosynthesis to climatic warming. However,it is still unknown whether there is a general pattern in relation to how and to what extent warming impacts woody plants in forests. In this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to investigate the warming effects. When temperatures increased between 0.3 and 10 ℃, specific leaf area(SLA) was significantly increased by 5.9%, plant height by 7.8%, biomass by 21.9%, foliar calcium(Ca) and manganese(Mn) concentrations by 20.7% and 39.6% and net photosynthetic rate(Pn) by 9.9%. Enhanced growth and Pn may have a relationship with changing SLA, efficiency of PSⅡ(photosystem Ⅱ), photosynthetic pigment concentrations and foliar nutrients. 7Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal phylogenetic groups differ in affecting host plants along heavy metal levels显示文摘Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF) are important components of soil microbial communities,and play important role in plant growth. However, the effects of AMF phylogenetic groups(Glomeraceae and non-Glomeraceae) on host plant under various heavy metal levels are not clear. Here we conducted a meta-analysis to compare symbiotic relationship between AMF phylogenetic groups(Glomeraceae and non-Glomeraceae) and host plant functional groups(herbs vs. trees, and non-legumes vs. legumes) at three heavy metal levels. In the meta-analysis, we calculate the effect size(ln(RR)) by taking the natural logarithm of the response ratio of inoculated to non-inoculated shoot biomass from each study. We found that the effect size of Glomeraceae increased, but the effect size of non-Glomeraceae decreased under high level of heavy metal compared to low level. According to the effect size, both Glomeraceae and non-Glomeraceae promoted host plant growth, but had different effects under various heavy metal levels. Glomeraceae provided more benefit to host plants than non-Glomeraceae did under heavy metal condition, while non-Glomeraceae provided more benefit to host plants than Glomeraceae did under no heavy metal. AMF phylogenetic groups also differed in promoting plant functional groups under various heavy metal levels.Interacting with Glomeraceae, herbs and legumes grew better than trees and non-legumes did under high heavy metal level, while trees and legumes grew better than herbs and non-legumes did under medium heavy metal level. Interacting with non-Glomeraceae, herbs and legumes grew better than trees and non-legumes did under no heavy metal. 8Personalized radioprotection in tumor patients after^(125)I seed brachytherapy显示文摘Objective:To investigate patient-specific radioprotection mathods for people in close contact with cancer patientstreated by 12I-seed implantation.Methods:The initial dose rates(D_(0))at distances of 30 and 100 cm from 80 patients who had undergone ^(125)I-seed implantation were measured within 24 h of the procedure.The dose rate at t(D_(t))and effective dose(E)were calculated according to the measurad vales of D.The appropriate precaution times for general adult family members,spouses,coworkers,and children or pregnant women were determined,and the relationships between and precaution time for different close-contact groups were derived by curve-fitting the corresponding data.Results:The mean D vahes of 80 patients at distanes of 30 and 100cm were(15.24±11.25)μSv/h and(1.96±2.63)μSv/h,respectively(P<0.05).The mean values and range of precaution time for general adult familymembers,spouses,coworkers,and children or pregnant women were(4.17±16.55),(102.93±49.22),(51.00±61.29),and(34.27±56.90)d(0-90.61),(0-234.01),(0-247.81),and(0-224.69)d,respectively.Furthemore,a logarithmic relationship betwen D and precaution time(Y)was observed for the different groujps.The equations of these relationships were detemined to be Y=-131.569+83.256 lnD_(0) for general adult family mambers,Y=—108.532+83.318 lnD_(0) for spouses,Y=25.470+83.318 lnD,for coworkers,and Y=2.585+83.229 lnD_(0) for children or pregnant women.Conchusions:Some cancer patients treated by ^(125)I-seed brachytherapy emitover-dose levels of γ-rays,necessitatingradiation protection for their close contacts.However,appropriate patient-specific radiation protection fordifferent close contacts can be determined based on the precaution time calculated using the D_(0) value.Jianmin Li Liuyi Yang Haishui Xia Juan Wang Zhen Gao Aixia Sui Hongtao Zhang 2021Radiation Medicine and Protection2021,2,3:0
