1How Chinese Financial Centers Integrate into Global Financial Center Networks:An Empirical Study Based on Overseas Expansion of Chinese Financial Service Firms显示文摘The increasing globalization of the Chinese economy has been enabled by both Chinese financial institutions operating globally as well as international firms operating within China. In geographical terms, this has been organized through a number of strategic cities serving as gateways for the exchange of financial functions, products and practices between China and the global economy. Drawing on location data of financial service firms in China listed on stock exchanges in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong, this paper shows that Chinese financial firms are expanding globally and how Chinese financial centers are positioned and connected in the urban networks shaped by these financial service firms. It is found that Hong Kong, China, holds strategic positions in the integration of Chinese cities into global financial center networks, and that establishing a foothold in global financial centers such as New York and London has been a priority for Chinese financial institutions. 2A mini-review on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected intertemporal choice显示文摘The coronavirus disease(COVID-19)has extremely harmful effects on individual lifestyles,and at present,people must make financial or survival decisions under the profound changes frequently.Although it has been reported that COVID-19 changed decision-making patterns,the underlying mechanisms remained unclear.This mini-review focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on in-tertemporal choice,and potential psychological,biological,and social factors that mediate this relationship.A search of the Web of Science electronic database yielded 23 studies.The results showed that under the COVID-19 pandemic,people tended to choose immediate and smaller rewards,and became less patient.In particular,people with negative emotions,in a worse condition of physical health,or who did not comply with their government restriction rules tended to become more'short-sighted'in behavioral terms.Future studies should examine more longitudinal and cross-cultural research to give a broad view about the decision-making change under the COVID-19 pandemic.Xinwen Zhang Ziyun Wu Qinghua He 2023Psychoradiology2023,3,1:0
3Single-base editing in IGF2 improves meat production and intramuscular fat deposition in Liang Guang Small Spotted pigs显示文摘Background Chinese indigenous pigs are popular with consumers for their juiciness,flavour and meat quality,but they have lower meat production.Insulin-like growth factor 2(IGF2) is a maternally imprinted growth factor that promotes skeletal muscle growth by regulating cell proliferation and differentiation.A single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) within intron 3 of porcine IGF2 disrupts a binding site for the repressor,zinc finger BED-type containing 6(ZBED6),leading to up-regulation of IGF2 and causing major effects on muscle growth,heart size,and backfat thickness.This favorable mutation is common in Western commercial pig populations,but absent in most Chinese indigenous pig breeds.To improve meat production of Chinese indigenous pigs,we used cytosine base editor 3(CBE3)to introduce IGF2 intron3-C3071T mutation into porcine embryonic fibroblasts(PEFs) isolated from a male Liang Guang Small Spotted pig(LGSS),and single-cell clones harboring the desired mutation were selected for somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) to generate the founder line of IGF2^(T/T) pigs.Results We found the heterozygous progeny IGF2^(C/T) pigs exhibited enhanced expression of IGF2,increased lean meat by 18%-36%,enlarged loin muscle area by 3%-17%,improved intramuscular fat(IMF) content by 18%-39%,marbling score by 0.75-1,meat color score by 0.53-1.25,and reduced backfat thickness by 5%-16%.The enhanced accumulation of intramuscular fat in IGF2^(C/T) pigs was identified to be regulated by the PI3K-AKT/AMPK pathway,which activated SREBP1 to promote adipogenesis.Conclusions We demonstrated the introduction of IGF2-intron3-C3071T in Chinese LGSS can improve both meat production and quality,and first identified the regulation of IMF deposition by IGF2 through SREBP1 via the PI3KAKT/AMPK signaling pathways.Our study provides a further understanding of the biological functions of IGF2and an example for improving porcine economic traits through precise base editing.Tianqi Duo Xiaohong Liu Delin Mo Yu Bian Shufang Cai Min Wang Ruiqiang Li Qi Zhu Xian Tong Ziyun Liang Weilun Jiang Shiyi Chen Yaosheng Chen Zuyong He 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,1:0
4Gold nanorods/tetrahedral DNA composites for chemo-photothermal therapy显示文摘Combination therapy is extensively developed for cancer treatment in recent years due to its high efficiency.Herein,we constructed a nanocomposite based on gold nanorods(GNRs)and drug-loaded tetrahedral DNA nanostructures(TDN)for chemophotothermal combinational therapy.Anti-tumor drug doxorubicin(DOX)was loaded via the insertion within GC base pairs of TDN.The aptamer AS1411 was attached to the apex of TDN(ATDN)to target tumor cells.The DOX-loaded DNA tetrahedron(ATDN-DOX)was compressed by the GNRs coated with PEI(GNRs@ATDN-DOX)to realize the photothermal function and lysosome escape.GNRs under the illumination of 808nm infrared laser showed high photothermal conversion and stability due to the protection of PEI layer.The drug-loading capacity of ATDN-DOX was as high as 314 DOX molecules in per ATDN.The positive charge of PEI in GNRs@ATDN-DOX nanocomposites was utilized to achieve excellent cell penetration and induce proton sponge effect for lysosomal escape.The nanocomposites presented HeLa and 4T1 cells targeting and resulted in efficient anticancer activity.Ziyun He Qiusheng Wang Nan Zhang Jianqin Yan Li Li Jun Cao Bin He 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:0
