1A water-evaporation-induced self-charging hybrid power unit for application in the Internet of Things显示文摘A self-charging hybrid power unit has been developed by integrating a water-evaporation-induced nano- generator with a flexible nano-patterned supercapacitor. The nanogenerator can harvest environmental thermal energy and mechanical energy through the water evaporation process, and the supercapacitor can be charged simultaneously. The former offers stable electrical power as output, whereas the Ppy- based supercapacitor shows a capacitance of 12.497 m F/cm^2 with 96.42% retention after 4,000 cycles. After filling the power unit with water as the fuel, it can be fully charged in about 20 min. The power unit can be flexibly integrated with electronic devices such as sensor nodes and wireless transmitters employ- ing the Internet of Things. 2Numerical simulation of dam-break flow and bed change considering the vegetation effects显示文摘Existing numerical investigations of dam-break flows rarely consider the effects of vegetation.This paper presents a depth-averaged two-dimensional model for dam-break flows over mobile and vegetated beds.In the model,both the consequences of reducing space for storing mass and momentum by the existence of vegetation and dragging the flow are considered:the former is considered by introducing a factor(1-c) to the flow depth,where c is the vegetation density;the later is considered by including an additional sink term in the momentum equations.The new governing equations are discretized by the finite volume method;and an existing second-order central-upwind scheme embedded with the hydrostatic reconstruction method for water depth,is used to estimate the fluxes;the source terms are estimated by either explicit or semi-explicit methods fulfilling the stability requirement.Laboratory experiments of dam-break flows or quasi-steady flows with/without vegetation effects/sediment transport are simulated.The good agreements between the measurements and the numerical simulations demonstrate a satisfactory performance of the model in reproducing the flow depth,velocity and bed deformation depth.Numerical case studies of six scenarios of dam-break flows over a mobile and vegetated bed are conducted.It is shown that when the area of the vegetation zone,the vegetation density,and the pattern of the vegetation distribution are varied,the resulted bed morphological change differs greatly,suggesting a great influence of vegetation on the dam-break flow evolution.Specifically,the vegetation may divert the direction of the main flow,hindering the flow and thus result in increased deposition upstream of the vegetation.Zhiguo He Ting Wu Haoxuan Weng Peng Hu Gangfeng Wu 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,1:5
3A Self-Powered Breath Analyzer Based on PANI/PVDF Piezo-Gas-Sensing Arrays for Potential Diagnostics Application显示文摘The increasing morbidity of internal diseases poses serious threats to human health and quality of life.Exhaled breath analysis is a noninvasive and convenient diagnostic method to improve the cure rate of patients. In this study, a self-powered breath analyzer based on polyaniline/polyvinylidene fluoride(PANI/PVDF) piezogas-sensing arrays has been developed for potential detection of several internal diseases. The device works by converting exhaled breath energy into piezoelectric gassensing signals without any external power sources. The five sensing units in the device have different sensitivities to various gas markers with concentrations ranging from 0 to 600 ppm. The working principle can be attributed to the coupling of the in-pipe gas-flow-induced piezoelectric effect of PVDF and gas-sensing properties of PANI electrodes. 4Lightweight 3D bioprinting with point by point photocuring显示文摘As photocrosslinkable materials,methacryloyl-modified hydrogels are widely used as bioinks in tissue engineering.Existing printing methods to use these hydrogels,including changing the viscosity of the material or mixing them with other printing components,have been explored,but their application has been limited due to low printing quality or high cost.In addition,the complex operation of bulky equipment restricts the application of these existing printing methods.This study presents a lightweight stereolithography-based three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting system with a smart mechanical and structural design.The developed bioprinter dimensions were 300 mm×300 mm×200 mm and it can be placed on a benchtop.The equipment has a mini bioink chamber to store a small amount of bioink for each printing.We systematically investigated the point-by-point curing process in the 3D bioprinting method,which can print mixed cells accurately and have good biocompatibility.Here,we provide a compact,low-cost stereolithography bioprinting system with excellent biocompatibility for 3D bioprinting with methacryloyl-modified hydrogels.It can be potentially used for drug screening,studying pathological mechanisms,and constructing biological disease models.Peng Zhang Haoxuan Wang Peng Wang Yating Zheng Linxiang Liu Jun Hu Yande Liu Qing Gao Yong He 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:2

6A self-powered temperature-sensitive electronic-skin based on tribotronic effect of PDMS/PANI nanostructures显示文摘A new self-powered temperature-sensitive electronic-skin(e-skin) for real-time monitoring body temperature without external electricity power was fabricated from patterned polydimethylsiloxane/polyaniline(PDMS/PANI) nanostructures. The e-skin can be feasibly attached on the human body and driven by the mechanical motion energy through triboelectric effect. The outputting triboelectric impulse of the PDMS/PANI units is significantly dependent on the local surface temperature of the eskin, serving as both the power source and temperature sensing signal. The outputting current of the e-skin increases with increasing surface temperature of the device. Under applied bending deformation,the response of the e-skin is up to 63.6 for 38.6℃. The e-skin can detect minimum temperature change of 0.4℃. The working mechanism can be ascribed to the coupling effect of triboelectric and semiconductor properties(tribotronic effect). A practical application of the e-skin attaching on the human body for detecting the body temperature range of 36.5–42.0℃ has been simply demonstrated. 9Facile construction of honeycomb-shaped porous carbon electrode materials using recyclable sodium chloride template for efficient lithium storage显示文摘Carbon materials are the preferred anode materials for Li-ion batteries.Here,we propose an easy and sustainable strategy to prepare honeycomb-shaped porous carbon(HPC)electrode materials through a process involving simple calcination and subsequent water washing by using polyvinyl-pyrrolidone(PVP)as carbon source and NaCl as pore-forming agent.A controllable cavity size and distribution of the carbon materials can be readily obtained solely by adjusting the NaCl amount.Results showed that the optimized HPC sample had a relatively uniform cavity distribution and a highly porous structure.Moreover,the special honeycomb-shaped structure was conducive to the electronic conductivity of the electrode materials,provided a short path for Li-ion transport and a wide interface with the electrolyte,and buffered the volume change of active materials.The special honeycomb-shaped structure was also maintained well after long cycles,which improved electrode stability.When used as anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs),the sample demonstrated excellent cycling stability and rate performance,with a high specific capacity of 230 mA hg^-1 and a reversible capacity of 197 mA hg^-1,after 1200 cycles at 2 C.Overall,we introduced a simple strategy for the potential mass production of porous carbon materials for LIBs.FANG ShiQing HE HaoXuan YU YingHui LI Xiao XIE WeiCheng LI Wei JIN LuQiao YANG ZhenYu CAI JianXin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10:0

11Six new coumarins from the roots of Toddalia asiatica and their anti-inflammatory activities显示文摘We reported the discovery of six novel coumarins, toddasirins A–F ( 1 – 6 ), each endowed with modified isoprenyl or geranyl side chains, derived from the roots of Toddalia asiatica. Comprehensive structural elucidation was achieved through multispectroscopic analyses, single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments, and advanced quantum mechanical electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations. Furthermore, the anti-inflammatory activity of these compounds was assessed.
