1Review on Improvement,Modeling,and Application of Ionic Polymer Metal Composite Artificial Muscle显示文摘Recently,researchers have concentrated on studying ionic polymer metal composite(IPMC)artificial muscle,which has numerous advantages including a relatively large strain under low input voltage,flexibility,high response,low noise,light weight,and high driving energy density.This paper reports recent developments in IPMC artificial muscle,including improvement methods,modeling,and applications.Different types of IPMCs are described,along with various methods for overcoming some shortcomings,including improvement of Nafion matrix membranes,surface preparation of Nafion membranes,the choice of high-performing electrodes,and new electro-active polymers for enhancing the properties of IPMCs.IPMC models are also reviewed,providing theoretical guidance for studying the performance and applications of IPMCs.Successful applications such as bio-inspired robots,opto-mechatronic systems,and medical engineering are discussed.Qingsong He Guoxiao Yin David Vokoun Qi Shen Ji Lu Xiaofang Liu Xianrui Xu Min Yu Zhendong Dai 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,2:1
2MiR-378a-3p acts as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer via directly targeting RAB31 and inhibiting the Hedgehog pathway proteins GLI1/2显示文摘Objective:To improve the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer(GC),more effective therapeutic targets are urgently needed.Increasing evidence indicates that miRNAs are involved in the progression of various tumors,and RAS-associated protein in the brain 31(RAB31)is upregulated and promotes the progression of multiple malignant tumors.Here,we focused on identifying RAB31-targeted miRNAs and elucidating their potential mechanism in the progression of GC.Methods:RAB31 and miR-378a-3p expression levels were detected in paired fresh GC tissues and GC cell lines.Bioinformatics analysis was used to predict the miRNAs targeting RAB31 and the relationships between RAB31 and other genes.Dual-luciferase reporter assays were applied to verify the targeted interaction relationship.CCK-8,colony formation,flow cytometry,wound healing,and Transwell assays were performed to assess the proliferation,apoptosis,migration,and invasion of GC cells.Tumorsphere formation assays were performed to assess the stemness of gastric cancer stem cells.Related proteins were detected by Western blot.Xenograft assays in nude mice were performed to explore the effect of miR-378a-3p in vivo.Results:We report the first evidence that miR-378a-3p is downregulated in GC,whereas its overexpression inhibits proliferation,invasion,and migration as well as promotes apoptosis in GC cells.Mechanistically,miR-378a-3p inhibits the progression of GC by directly targeting RAB31.Restoring RAB31 expression partially offsets the inhibitory effect of miR-378a-3p.Further research revealed that miR-378a-3p inhibits GLI1/2 in the Hedgehog signaling pathway and attenuates the stemness of gastric cancer stem cells.Finally,xenograft assays showed that miR-378a-3p inhibits GC tumorigenesis in vivo.Conclusions:MiR-378a-3p inhibits GC progression by directly targeting RAB31 and inhibiting the Hedgehog signaling pathway proteins GLI1/2.Xinxin Xu Yang Li Guoxiao Liu Kai Li Peng Chen Yunhe Gao Wenquan Liang Hongqing Xi Xinxin Wang Bo Wei Hongtao Li Lin Chen 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,12:1

4A multi-functional Ru Mo bimetallic catalyst for ultra-efficient C3 alcohols production from liquid phase hydrogenolysis of glycerol显示文摘Ru and Mo bimetallic catalysts supported on active carbon modified by phosphotungstic acid(PW)were designed and applied in glycerol hydrogenolysis reaction.The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were characterized and the presence of active sites was investigated from the perspective of the glycerol hydrogenolysis performance.The MoOxis highly selective for the C—O bond cleavage of glycerol molecules,which can reasonably regulate the strong C—C bond cleavage activity of Ru nanoparticles.By using sequential deposition of Ru and Mo supported on mesoporous PW-C,the characterization results show that the combination of isolated low-valence MoOxwith metal Ru particles can form“MoOx-Ru-PW”,which provides highly catalytic activity toward C—O bond cleavage,selectively producing more C3 alcohols(mainly 1,2(3)-propanediol).The glycerol conversion of 1%Mo/Ru/PW-C catalyst was 59.6%,the selectivity of C3 alcohol was 96.1%,and the selectivity of propanediol(1,2(3)-propanediol)was 94.9%.It is noteworthy that the selectivity of 1,3-propanediol reached 20.7%when the PW was 21.07%(mass).This study provides experimental evidence for the tandem dehydration and hydrogenation mechanism of the multifunctional Mo/Ru/PW-C catalyst.Guoxiao Cai Wei Xiong Susu Zhou Pingle Liu Yang Lv Fang Hao Hean Luo ChangYi Kong 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,11:1
5Histone deacetylase OsHDA706 increases salt tolerance via H4K5/K8 deacetylation of OsPP2C49 in rice显示文摘High salt is a major environmental factor that threatens plant growth and development.Increasing evidence indicates that histone acetylation is involved in plant responses to various abiotic stress;however,the underlying epigenetic regulatory mechanisms remain poorly understood.In this study,we revealed that the histone deacetylase OsHDA706 epigenetically regulates the expression of salt stress response genes in rice(Oryza sativa L.).OsHDA706 localizes to the nucleus and cytoplasm and OsHDA706 expression is significantly induced under salt stress.Moreover,oshda706 mutants showed a higher sensitivity to salt stress than the wild-type.In vivo and in vitro enzymatic activity assays demonstrated that OsHDA706 specifically regulates the deacetylation of lysines 5 and 8 on histone H4(H4K5and H4K8).By combining chromatin immunoprecipitation and mRNA sequencing,we identified the clade A protein phosphatase 2C gene,OsPP2C49,which is involved in the salt response as a direct target of H4K5 and H4K8 acetylation.We found that the expression of OsPP2C49 is induced in the oshda706 mutant under salt stress.Furthermore,the knockout of OsPP2C49 enhances plant tolerance to salt stress,while its overexpression has the opposite effect.Taken together,our results indicate that OsHDA706,a histone H4 deacetylase,participates in the salt stress response by regulating the expression of OsPP2C49 via H4K5 and H4K8 deacetylation.Kai Liu Jijin Chen Shang Sun Xu Chen Xinru Zhao Yingying Hu Guoxiao Qi Xiya Li Bo Xu Jun Miao Chao Xue Yong Zhou Zhiyun Gong 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,6:0

8A novel thermomechanically stable LaF_3–CsH_5(PO_4)_2 composite electrolyte with high proton conductivity at elevated temperatures over 150 °C显示文摘A facile strategy is introduced to upgrade thermomechanical stability of the cesium pentahydrogen diphosphate(CPD), which is the most efficient inorganic electrolyte among all solid proton conductors,by constructing P–OH···F hydrogen bonds with lanthanum fluoride(LaF_3). The optimal combination of the LaF_3–CPD composite electrolyte is found to be 1:2 in a molar ratio(LaF_3–CPD-2). LaF_3–CPD-2 composite maintains robust solid state, even at a temperature up to 200 °C, which is 50 °C higher than the melting temperature of CPD. Meanwhile, the considerable proton conductivity of CPD is achieved in the LaF_3–CPD-2 composite electrolyte due to the synergistic effect of the P–OH···F hydrogen bonds and the intrinsic proton conductive property of CPD. Last but not least, the LaF_3–CPD-2 composite manifests excellent conductivity durability at 150 °C and low humidity condition with sizeable proton conductivity of0.0262 S cm^(-1) after 60 h operation, implying that the LaF_3–CPD composite could be a promising candidate for intermediate temperature proton conductors.Jie Xiong Yunjie Huang Jing Li Liying Ma Guoxiao Xu Zhao Liu Weiwei Cai Hansong Cheng 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,3:0
