| 1 | Tree-Temperature Monitoring for Frost Protection of Orchards in Semi-Arid Regions Using Sprinkler Irrigation显示文摘Automated over-tree sprinkler irrigation systems were developed and tested in two orchards located in two separate locations in southern Iran(a 0.17 ha peach orchard and a 0.24 ha orange orchard) to protect peach blossoms and orange trees leaves and fruits from low temperature damage.The experiment used a system that monitored the trees and air temperatures using two thermistors.The water application rate by the irrigation system was determined by an energy balance as implemented by the software FROSTPRO.In the peach orchard,the system was tested during three frost events during the spring of 2003 and three other events during the spring of 2004.The system successfully kept peach flowers above the critical temperature,i.e.,-4.0°C in spring 2004(control block -4.12°C,and sprinkled block +0.5°C) during all events.Similar results were obtained in the orange orchard during three frost events in the winter of 2004,during which the tree temperatures were at least 2.5°C above the critical temperature.Results from field tests show that the system can effectively protect the peach blossoms from damage.Determination done after the frost events showed a 12% blossom kill in the sprinkled blocks while in the unsprinkled control block a 41.5% blossom kill.Calculations indicated that when using variable application rates,the amount of water used can be reduced by 54.3%.Spatial distribution of minimum temperatures during the three frosts was also studied in Jahrom,Iran.Results showed a significant temperature control in the experimental block,especially in the central part of the orchard,but the block margins(about 3.6% of the total area) were at the risk of low temperature due to the wind drift effects. | Ali Asghar Ghaemi Mohammad Rafie Rafiee Ali Reza Sepaskhah | 2009 | Agricultural Sciences in China2009，8，1： | 14 |
| 2 | 表面活性物质替代治疗新生儿呼吸窘迫综合征的疗效评估(英文)显示文摘目的呼吸窘迫综合征(RDS)是早产儿发病和死亡的重要原因。RDS主要由肺表面活性物质缺乏所致。该研究调查了表面活性物质治疗在减少早产儿死亡率中的作用,并评估了表面活性物质疗效与一些RDS相关危险因素的关系。方法通过简单抽样抽取符合入选要求的89例RDS早产儿,他们均来自于ShaheedBeheshti医院新生儿重症监护室。生后48 h内给予表面活性物质治疗(100 mg/kg)。结果89例得到表面活性物质治疗的RDS早产儿中,34例(38.2%)幸存,55例死亡。其中胎龄大于32周,表面活性物质治疗开始于生后24 h内,1,5分钟Apgar评分大于7/10分,或出生体重大于1 500 g者治疗效果较好,存活率分别为47.5%,43.3%,48.1%,52.5%。表面活性物质治疗后母亲孕前经过激素治疗的RDS早产儿的存活率(41.7%)显著高于那些母亲孕前未经激素治疗者(34.2%)(P<0.05)。结论表面活性物质替代治疗新生儿RDS应尽可能早地进行,能减少38.2%的死亡率。新生儿胎龄、出生体重、Apgar评分、表面活性物质治疗开始时间及母亲孕期是否经激素治疗等均可影响表面活性物质替代治疗的疗效。 | Sedigheh GHAEMI Maryam MOHAMADYMASODI Roya KELISHADI | 2009 | 中国当代儿科杂志2009，11，3： | 9 |

| 4 | Low-temperature electrochemical synthesis and characterization of ultrafine Y(OH)_3 and Y_2O_3 nanoparticles显示文摘Ultrafine Y(OH)3 nanoparticles were successfully deposited from an additive-free 0.005 mol/L YCl3 low-temperature bath on the steel cathode at the current density of 0.5 mA/cm2 and bath temperature of 10 oC. Heat treatment of the prepared Y(OH)3 nanoparticles at 600 oC in air led to the formation of Y2O3 nanoparticles. Thermal behavior and phase transformation during the heat treatment of Y(OH)3 were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogramimetric analysis (TGA). The morphologies, crystal structures and compositions of the prepared materials were examined by means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM) as well as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and FT-IR spectroscopy. The results showed that the prepared Y(OH)3 nanoparticles was essentially amorphous and composed of well dispersed ultrafine particles with size of 4 nm. After heat treatment, the obtained oxide product was well crystallized cubic phase of Y2O3 nanoparticles with the grain size of around 5 nm. | 5 | Synthesis and Characterization of Heterocyclic Functionalized Polymers by Click Reaction: Preparation of Magnetic Nanocomposites and Studies on Their Thermal, Mechanical, Photophysical and Metal Ions Removal Properties显示文摘This work reports synthesis and characterization of heterocyclic functionalized polymers, poly(triazole-etherimidazole)s(PTAEI), from a dialkyne-terminated compound, 3-(4,5-bis(4-(propargyloxy)phenyl)-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-9-ethyl-9H-carbazole, by using click reaction. PTAEIs were characterized and their properties such as solubility, thermal, mechanical, photophysical and metal ions adsorption were investigated. These polymers had weight average molar masses(Mw) in the range of 19100-26700 g/mol, exhibited excellent solubility in polar aprotic solvents and formed low-colored flexible thin films by solution casting method. They exhibited good thermal stability with glass transition temperatures(Tg) between 160 °C and 211 °C and 10% weight loss temperatures(T10%) in the range of 308-426 °C. Nanocomposites of PTAEIs with epoxide-terminated Fe3O4 showed that strong interfacial interaction between inorganic particles and the polymer matrix contributed to the enhanced thermal and mechanical properties. The photoluminescence intensity of the PTAEIs increased and the spectra red shifted with increasing Fe3O4 content. | 7 | Interleukin-12 as a Genetic Adjuvant Enhances Hepatitis C Virus NS3 DNA Vaccine Immunogenicity显示文摘Hepatitis C virus (HCV) chronic infection is a worldwide health problem, and numerous efforts have been invested to develop novel vaccines. An efficient vaccine requires broad immune response induction against viral proteins. To achieve this goal, we constructed a DNA vaccine expressing nonstructural 3 (NS3) gene (pcDNA3.1-HCV-NS3) and assessed the immune response in C57BL/6 mice. In this study, the NS3 gene was amplified with a nested-reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method using sera of HCV-infected patients with genotype 1a. The resulting NS3 gene was subcloned into a pcDNA3.1 eukaryotic expression vector, and gene expression was detected by western blot. The resultant DNA vaccine was co-administered with interleukin-12 (IL-12) as an adjuvant to female C57BL/6 mice. After the final immunizations, lymphocyte proliferation, cytotoxicity, and cytokine levels were assessed to measure immune responses. Our data suggest that co-administration of HCV NS3 DNA vaccine with IL-12 induces production of significant levels of both IL-4 and interferon (IFN)-γ (p<0.05). Cytotoxicity and lymphocyte proliferation responses of vaccinated mice were significantly increased compared to control (p<0.05). | 8 | Experimental mass transfer coefficients in a pilot plant multistage column extractor显示文摘The volumetric overall mass transfer coefficients in a multistage column have been measured using axial dispersion model for toluene–acetone–water system. The effect of operating parameters on the volumetric overall mass transfer coefficients has been investigated for both mass transfer directions. The results show that the mass transfer performance is strongly dependent on rotor speed and mass transfer direction, although only slightly dependent on phase flow rates. In addition, empirical correlations to predict the overall mass transfer coefficients have been developed. | 10 | Facies Analysis and Sequence Stratigraphy of Silurian Carbonate Ramps in the Turan(Kopeh-Dagh) and Central Iran Plates with Emphasis on Gondwana Tectonic Event显示文摘Two sections from the Silurian deposits in the Central Iran Micro and Turan Plates were measured and sampled. These deposits are mostly composed of submarine volcanic rocks, skeletal and non-skeletal limestone, shale and sandstone that were deposited in low to high energy conditions(from tidal flat to deep open marine). According to gradual deepening trend, wide lateral distribution of facies as well as absence of resedimentation deposits, a depositional model of a homoclinal ramp was proposed for these deposits. Field observations and facies distribution indicate that, two depositional sequences were recognized in both sections. These sections show similarities in facies and depositional sequence during the Early Silurian in the area.
