Comparison of Persulfate Activation and Fenton Reaction in Remediating an Organophosphorus Pesticides-Polluted Soil显示文摘Organophosphorus pesticides(OPs) are one of the most regular pollutants and frequently detected in the contaminated sites,so developing an efficient method for the treatment of OPs is highly required. The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of persulfate(PS) activation and Fenton reaction in remediating the soil polluted with OPs. The polluted soil used in this study was sampled from an abandoned insecticide factory in Nantong, Jiangsu Province of China, mainly containing chloropyrifos(CP) and 4-bromo-2-chlorophenol(BCP, the raw material of profenofos) with total concentration of about 30 000 mg kg^(-1). The results showed that both BCP and CP were efficiently degraded by base activation of PS, and increasing the ratio of Na OH/PS enhanced CP degradation, but slightly decreased BCP degradation. The greatest degradation rates for CP and BCP were 92% and 97%, respectively, with 7.0 mol L^(-1) Na OH and 0.21 mol L^(-1) PS and a soil-to-liquid ratio of 1:1. Furthermore, ferrous iron activation of PS also degraded BCP efficiently, but only 60% of CP was degraded under the same reaction conditions. These results indicated that base activation of PS was more feasible than Fe^(2+) activation and Fenton reaction in remediating the soil polluted with OPs. The high degradation rate for CP may be linked to the initial hydrolyzation of CP by base to 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol, which can be further rapidly degraded by free radicals generated from base activation of PS. | ZHU Changyin ZHU Fengxiao WANG Fuwang GAO Juan FAN Guangping ZHOU Dongmei FANG Guodong | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,3: | 11
Temporal-spatial distribution and ore-forming material source of gold, copper and silver polymetallic ore deposits in the Fuping mantle structure zone显示文摘This study was conducted following research on metallogenesis in the Zhangjiajie-Xuanhua and East Hebei mantle branch structure zones. The Fuping mantle branch structure zone is one where Au, Cu and Ag poly-metallic ore resources are concentrated in North Hebei. However, there has existed a long-standing controversy on the temporal-spatial distribution of ore resources and their ore-forming material sources. In terms of age dating and the comprehensive analysis of S, Pb, O, C and Si isotopes, it is considered that the temporal-spatial distribution of ore resources in this mantle branch structure zone is obviously controlled by the Fuping mantle branch structure. In space there is developed such a metallogenic pattern as to be Ag, Pb and Zn polymetallic ore deposits with gold appearing inside and copper appearing outside. Metallogenesis is dated mainly at Yanshanian, the ore-forming materials were derived predominantly from the deep interior of the Earth, and ore-forming fluids were derived largely from Yanshanian magmatism. | WANG Baode NIU Shuyin SUN Aiqun LIU Yaming XIE Yan JIANG Xiaoping ZHAO Yongli GAO Yincang ZHAO Fuwang | 2010 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2010,29,3: | 6
Co-seismic changes of well water level and volume strain meter in capital area and its vicinity, due to the Nov.14,2001 Ms8.1 Kunlun Mountain earthquake,China显示文摘The Kunlunshan Mountain Ms8.1 earthquake, occurred in Nov.14, 2001, is the first event with magnitude more than 8 in the China earthquake monitoring history, specifically at the beginning of digital techniques in precursor monitoring networks. Any investigation of recorded data on this earthquake is very important for testing the operation of the digital monitoring networks and understanding the preparation, occurrence, and adjustment of stress/strain of strong continental earthquakes. In this paper we investigated the coseismic response changes of well water level of groundwater and volume strain meter of bore hole in digital earthquake monitoring network of Capital area and its vicinity, due to the Nov.14, 2001 Ms8.1 Kunlun Mountain earthquake. The responding time, shapes or manners, amplitudes, and lasting time of well water level and strain-meters to seismic wave are studied in comparison. Then we discussed the possibility that the response changes of groundwater to strong distant earthquakes can be understood as one kind of observing evidence of stress/strain changes induced by distant earthquake. | Huang Fuqiong Chen Yong Ji Ping Ren Kexin Gao Fuwang Zhang Lingkong | 2015 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2015,6,6: | 3
Study on Volume Strain Inversion from Water Level Change of Well-aquifer Systems显示文摘Based on linear poroelastic and hydrogeology theory,a mathematical expression describing the relationship between water level change and aquifer volume strain is put forward.Combined with earth tidal theory,we analyze the response characteristics from well-aquifer water level change to earth tide of volume strain and present a method of volume strain inversion from water level change.Comparing the results of inversion with real observed data,we found that there is a good consistency. This suggests that the method of volume strain inversion from water level change is proper. It will offer a reference for learning about hydrogeology characteristics, volume strain and searching for precursor anomalies. | Yan Rui Gao Fuwang Chen Yong | 2008 | Earthquake Research in China2008,22,1: | 0
A STUDY ON RELATION BETWEEN CONTINUOUS RAPID DEFORMATION AND EARTHQUAKLES显示文摘Continuous Rapid Deformation (CRD) may be an important precursor before some strong earthquakes with magnitude greater than \%M\%s5.0. This paper shows some characteristics of CRD, and proposes a method for identifying precursory CRD that is closely related to the process of earthquake preparation. From the deformation data in Yunnan Sichan provinces, we obtained the tilt and strain thresholds of 4.5ms/d and 5 ×10 -7 /d, respectively. Compared the tilt CRD in this region before 9 earthquakes (short term fore shocks and after shocks not included) with magnitude greater than 5.8 in the period from January of 1990 to May of 2001, we found that 8 earthquakes occurred within 5 months after the CRD with a duration of more than 20 days and a tilt velocity of more than 4.5ms/d without false prediction, but with one failure in earthquake prediction. For the strain CRD, 5 earthquakes occurred after the CRD; there was no false prediction, but 4 earthquakes unpredicted. We have tried to increase the thresholds, but found either the failure ratio or the rate of false prediction increased, while the success rate not obvious increased. | Niu Anfu, Zhang Jing, Gao Fuwang, Ji Ping and Yan Xudong (Center for Analysis and Prediction, CEA, Beijing 100036, China) | 2003 | 大地测量与地球动力学2003,23,B12: | 0
