1Differential water use strategies among selected rare and endangered species in West Ordos Desert of China显示文摘Aims West Ordos Desert(WOD)in Inner Mongolia of China is charac-terized by unique geographical and ecological features to avoid the direct invasion of Quaternary Continental Glaciation,so it hosts many endangered relic species such as Tetraena mongol-ica,Ammopiptanthus mongolicus and Potaninia mongolica from Tertiary.However,how these plants utilize available water sources remains unknown.The objective of this study was to investigate the water utilization strategies of selected rare and endangered plant species in WOD by comparing hydrogen isotope ratios between their xylem water and possible water sources following four rainfall events of varying-intensities.Methods We measured the hydrogen isotope ratios of xylem water from T.mongolica,A.mongolicus and P.mongolica and an accom-panying species Sarcozygium xanthoxylum and potential water sources(including precipitation and soil water in different soil layers from 0 to 150 cm)over 9 days following each of four varying-intensity rainfall events during the summer of 2012.And then calculated the percentage utilization of potential water sources by each species after each rainfall events using the linear mixing model.We also made the measurements of soil moisture and root biomass in favor of interpretation of plant water use strategies.Important Findings Tetraena mongolica,A.mongolicus and S.xanthoxylum primarily relied on deep soil water,whereas P.mongolica depended predomi-nantly on rainwater.These rare and endangered desert plants had differential utilizations of available water sources,so some com-petition for limited water existed among some species.Tetraena mongolica had a competitive relationship in absorption of soil moisture with the same family species S.xanthoxylum,suggesting that T.mongolica and S.xanthoxylum should be restored separately at different areas in the WOD.Overall,this study provides a better understanding of water use strategies of these four plants and scien-tific evidence for protecting rare and endangered plants,maintain-ing regional species diversity,and developing effective vegetation restoration plans in the WOD.Jie Chen Qing Xu Deqiang Gao Aiyun Song Yuguang Hao Yingbin Ma 2017Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,4:9
2Liensinine induces gallbladder cancer apoptosis and G2/M arrest by inhibiting ZFX-induced PI3K/AKT pathway显示文摘Gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) is the most comm on and aggressive can cer of the biliary tract. Liensinine has been proved to have hypotensive effect. However, the effect of liensinine on GBC is still unknown. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect and mechanism of liensinine in human GBC cells. Cell viability assay and colony formation assay were performed to assess cell growth and proliferation. Flow cytometry analysis was used to investigate cell cycle apoptosis in vitro. Hoechst 33342 staining was also used to evaluate cell apoptosis. Western blot analysis was used to determine the expression of proteins corresponding to the related cell cycle and apoptosis.The effect of liensinine treatment in vivo was experimented with xenografted tumors. We found that liensinine significantly inhibited the growth of GBC cells both in vivo and in vitro. In vitro, cell growth and proliferation were significantly suppressed by liensinine in a dose- and time-dependent manner. In vivo, liensinine inhibited tumor growth. Liensinine could induce GBC cells G2/M phase arrest by up-regulating the levels of Cyclin B1 and CDK1 proteins. Liensinine also affected GBC cell cycle progress!on and induced apoptosis by down-regulating phosphorylated protein kinase B (AKT), phosphorylated protein kinase B (p-AKT), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K), and Zinc finger X-chromosomal protein (ZFX) proteins. 6A Novel mRNA Signature Related to Immunity to Predict Survival and Immunotherapy Response in Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver cancer and the incidence and mortality rates are increasing.Given the limited treatments of HCC and promising application of immunotherapy for cancer,we aimed to identify an immune-related prognostic signature that can predict overall survival(OS)rates and immunotherapy response in HCC.Methods:The initial signature development was conducted using a training dataset from the Cancer Genome Atlas followed by independent internal and external validations from that resource and the Gene Expression Omnibus.A signature based nomogram was generated using multivariate Cox regression analysis.The associations of signature score with tumor immune phenotype and response to immunotherapy were analyzed using single-sample gene set enrichment analysis and tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion algorithm.A cohort from Zhongshan Hospital was employed to verify the pre dictive robustness of the signature regarding prognostic risk and immunotherapy response.Results:The prognostic signature,IGS_(HCC),consisting of 22 immune-related genes,had independent prognostic ability,with training and validation cohorts.Also,IGS_(HCC)stratified HCC patients with different outcomes in subgroups.The prognostic accuracy of IGS_(HCC)was better than three reported prognostic signatures.The IGS_(HCC)-based nomogram had high accuracy and significant clinical benefits in predicting 3-and 5-year OS.IGS_(HCC)reflected distinct immunosuppressive phenotypes in low-and high-score groups.Patients with low IGS_(HCC)scores were more likely than those with high scores to benefit from immunotherapy.Conclusions:IGS_(HCC)predicted HCC prognosis and response to immunotherapy,and contributed to individualized clinical management.Chenhao Zhou Jialei Weng Yuan Gao Chunxiao Liu Xiaoqiang Zhu Qiang Zhou Chia-Wei Li Jialei Sun Manar Atyah Yong Yi Qinghai Ye Yi Shi Qiongzhu Dong Yingbin Liu Mien-Chie Hung Ning Ren 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,5:1

8Influences of environmental factors on the spawning stock-recruitment relationship of Portunus trituberculatus in the northern East China Sea显示文摘Based on the Ricker-type models,the spawning stock-recruitment(S-R)relationship of Portunus trituberculatus was analysed under the impacts of environmental factors(including red tide area(AORT),sea level height(SLH),sea surface salinity(SSS)and typhoon landing times(TYP))in the northern East China Sea in 2001 and 2014.Besides the traditional Ricker model,two other Ricker-type S-R models were built:Ricker model with ln-linear environmental impact(Ricker-type 2)and Ricker model with ln-quadratic polynomial environmental impact(Ricker-type 3).Results showed that AORT,SLH,SSS and TYP had great influences on the recruitment of P.trituberculatus.When SSS reached 29 and 31,recruitment decreased from 20.7×10^(3) million to 8.3×10^(3) million individuals.In this case,recruitment declined,whereas AORT and TYP increased.Analysis of the S-R model showed that the Akaike information criterion(AIC)value of the traditional Ricker model was 14.619,which remarkably decreased after addition of the environmental factors.Different numbers of environmental factors were added to the Ricker model,and the best result was obtained when four factors were added to the model together.Moreover,Ricker-type 2 model,with the AIC value of-5.307,was better than Ricker-type 3 model(add above four environmental factors at the same time).The findings indicated that the mechanisms by which various environmental factors affect the S-R relationship are different.Li Gao Yingbin Wang 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,8:1

10Adaptive Generalized Eigenvector Estimating Algorithm for Hermitian Matrix Pencil显示文摘Generalized eigenvector plays an essential role in the signal processing field.In this paper,we present a novel neural network learning algorithm for estimating the generalized eigenvector of a Hermitian matrix pencil.Differently from some traditional algorithms,which need to select the proper values of learning rates before using,the proposed algorithm does not need a learning rate and is very suitable for real applications.Through analyzing all of the equilibrium points,it is proven that if and only if the weight vector of the neural network is equal to the generalized eigenvector corresponding to the largest generalized eigenvalue of a Hermitian matrix pencil,the proposed algorithm reaches to convergence status.By using the deterministic discretetime(DDT)method,some convergence conditions,which can be satisfied with probability 1,are also obtained to guarantee its convergence.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a fast convergence speed and good numerical stability.The real application demonstrates its effectiveness in tracking the optimal vector of beamforming.Yingbin Gao 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,11:0
11Scalable synthesized high-performance TiO_(2)-Si-C hybrid anode for lithium batteries显示文摘At present,developing a simple strategy to effectively solve the shackles of volume expansion,poor conductivity and interface compatibility faced by Si-C anode in lithium batteries(LIBs)is the key to its commercialization.Here,low-cost nano-Si powders were prepared from Si-waste of solar-cells by sanding treatment,which can effectively reduce the commercialization cost for Si-C anode.Furthermore,micro-nano structured Gr@Si/C/TiO_(2) anode materials with graphite(Gr)as the inner core,TiO_(2)-doped and carbon-coated Si as the outer coating-layer,were synthesized at kilogram-scale per milling batch.Comprehensive characterization results indicate that TiO_(2)-doped carbon layer can improve the interface compatibility with the electrolyte,further promote the reduction of electrode polarization,and finally enhance the battery performance for the Gr@Si/C/TiO_(2) anodes.Accordingly,Gr@Si/C/TiO_(2) composites can output excellent LIB performance,especially with high initial coulombic efficiency(ICE)of 82.51%and large average reversible capacity of~810 mA h g^(-1) at 0.8 A g^(-1) after 1000 cycles.Moreover,Gr@Si/C/TiO_(2)‖NCM811 pouch full cells deliver impressive performance especially with high energy density of~489.3 W h kg^(-1) based on the total weight of active materials,suggesting its promising application in the high performance LIBs.Liao Shen Chengjie Xu Jingguo Gao Jianming Tao Qiaobao Zhang Yue Chen Yingbin Lin Zhigao Huang Jiaxin Li 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0
12Easily Obtaining Excellent Performance High-voltage LiCoO_(2)via Pr_(6)O_(11)Modification显示文摘Developing an effective method to synthesize high-performance high-voltage LiCoO_(2) is essential for its industrialization in lithium batteries(LIBs).This work proposes a simple mass-produced strategy for the first time,that is,negative temperature coefficient thermosensitive Pr_(6)O_(11) nanoparticles are uniformly modified on LiCoO_(2) to prepare LiCoO_(2)@Pr_(6)O_(11)(LCO@PrO)via a liquid-phase mixing combined with annealing method.Tested at 274 mA g−1,the modified LCO@PrO electrodes deliver excellent 4.5 V high-voltage cycling performance with capacity retention ratios of 90.8%and 80.5%at 25 and 60℃,being much larger than those of 22.8%and 63.2%for bare LCO electrodes.Several effective strategies were used to clearly unveil the performance enhancement mechanism induced by Pr_(6)O_(11) modification.It is discovered that Pr_(6)O_(11) can improve interface compatibility,exhibit improved conductivity at elevated temperature,thus enhance the Li^(+)diffusion kinetics,and suppress the phase transformation of LCO and its resulting mechanical stresses.The 450 mAh LCO@PrO‖graphite pouch cells show excellent LIB performance and improved thermal safety characteristics.Importantly,the energy density of such pouch cell was increased even by~42%at 5 C.This extremely convenient technology is feasible for producing high-energy density LIBs with negligible cost increase,undoubtedly providing important academic inspiration for industrialization.Yongcong Huang Chenjie Xu Jingguo Gao Liao Shen Qian Liu Guiying Zhao Qingshui Xie Yingbin Lin Jiaxin Li Zhigao Huang 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,2:0
13Preliminary Study of Oxidative Stress in Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Adjacent Normal Liver Tissues显示文摘OBJECTIVE The antioxidative system in human hepatocellular carcinoma was investigated. METHODS The activities of cytosolic catalase (CAT), superoxide dismu-tase, glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione S-tranferase and levels of reduced glutathione, total protein thiols and malondialdehyde were assayed in 10 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma and adjacent normal liver. RESULTS Hepatoma tissues showed higher activities of CAT, GSH -Px and lower content of total antioxidative capacity compared to adjacent normal liver tissue (P<0.05). CONCLUSION These findings suggest that the antioxidative defense-related enzymes and antioxidants are largely regulated in hepatoma cells. 14Functional prediction of tomato PLATZ family members and functional verification of Sl PLATZ17显示文摘PLATZ is a novel zinc finger DNA-binding protein that plays an important role in regulating plant growth and development and resisting abiotic stress.However,there has been very little research on the function of this family gene in tomatoes,which limits its application in germplasm resource improvement.Therefore,the PLATZ gene family was identified and analyzed in tomato,and its roles were predicted and verified to provide a basis for in-depth research on SlPLATZ gene function.In this study,the PLATZ family members of tomato were identified in the whole genome,and 19 SlPLATZ genes were obtained.Functional prediction was conducted based on gene and promoter structure analysis and RNA-seq-based expression pattern analysis.SlPLATZ genes that responded significantly under different abiotic stresses or were significantly differentially expressed among multiple tissues were screened as functional gene resources.SlPLATZ17 was selected for functional verification by experiment-based analysis.The results showed that the downregulation of SlPLATZ17 gene expression reduced the drought and salt tolerance of tomato plants.Tomato plants overexpressing SlPLATZ17 had larger flower sizes and long,thin petals,adjacent petals were not connected at the base,and the stamen circumference was smaller.This study contributes to understanding the functions of the SlPLATZ family in tomato and provides a reference for functional gene screening.Min Xu Zhao Gao Dalong Li Chen Zhang Yuqi Zhang Qian He Yingbin Qi He Zhang Jingbin Jiang Xiangyang Xu Tingting Zhao 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,1:0
