| 1 | KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites with BN interface fabricated by polymer infiltration and pyrolysis process显示文摘Continuous silicon carbide fiber reinforced silicon carbide matrix(SiC_f/SiC) composites are attractive candidate materials for aerospace engine system and nuclear reactor system. In this paper, SiC_f/SiC composites were fabricated by polymer infiltration and pyrolysis(PIP) process using KD-S fiber as the reinforcement and the LPVCS as the precursor, while the BN interface layer was introduced by chemical vapor deposition(CVD) process using borazine as the single precursor. The effect of the BN interface layer on the structure and properties of the SiC_f/SiC composites was comprehensively investigated. The results showed that the BN interface layer significantly improved the mechanical properties of the KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites. The flexure strength and fracture toughness of the KD-S SiC_f/SiC composites were evidently improved from 314±44.8 to 818±39.6 MPa and 8.6± 0.5 to 23.0±2.2 MPa·m^(1/2), respectively. The observation of TEM analysis displayed a turbostratic structure of the CVD-BN interface layer that facilitated the improvement of the fracture toughness of the SiC_f/SiC composites. | 3 | Ultrastable and colorful afterglow from organic luminophores in amorphous nanocomposites:Advanced anti-counterfeiting and in vivo imaging application显示文摘Special attention has been paid to the organic afterglow materials(OAM)for their fascinating properties.However,poor stability at air and complicated structure design hinder the development of OAM.Herein,sol-gel,a facile and simple technique,is employed to synthesize a series of organic/inorganic hybrid nanocomposites(N1/SiO2,N2/SiO2,and N3/SiO2)by covalently linking three common aryl imides with crosslinked silica skeleton.These nanomaterials show excitation wavelength-dependent and colorful(yellow,red and green)afterglow of organic imides with long lifetime up to 1.1 s at air.Interestingly,the ultralong phosphorescence is ultrastable under various conditions:water,high temperature,UV irradiation and in vivo,due to the protection of inorganic silica.In particularly,heating to 500℃does not quench the afterglow of organic luminophore in nanocomposites,but forms new ultralong phosphorescence originated from space-conjugation of silica and carbonyl.The afterglow nanomaterials display huge advantages in the applications of advanced anti-counterfeiting and bioimaging. | Qiuqin Huang Heqi Gao Shuming Yang Dan Ding Zhenghuan Lin Qidan Ling | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,4: | 2 |
| 4 | Effect of lanthanum addition on microstructure and hardness of brass alloys produced by rheological squeeze casting显示文摘The effect of La addition(0-0.30 wt%)on the microstructure and hardness of rheological squeeze casting brass alloys was experimentally investigated.The rheological squeeze casting process is improved by controlling the wall surface crystals and melt flow rate to realise the preparation of semi-solid melt with flow,and a brass alloy workpiece with La is produced.The microstructure and properties of the brass alloy samples were investigated using metallography,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction and hardness testing.The results indicate that the hardness of the rheological squeeze casting brass alloy is increased by 20.4%from 108 to 130 HBW with an increase in the La content from 0 to 0.30 wt%.The micro structural analysis results show that La significantly refines the primary a-phase grains,and the main mechanism is the constitutional undercooling and heterogeneous nucleation caused by the La enrichment in the front of the solid-liquid interface.The squeeze pressure promotes undercooling,which improves the nucleation rate and affects the solute diffusion and nucleus growth.The dual effects of these two aspects aggravate the grain refinement process,consequently increasing the number of grain boundaries and improving the hardness of the brass alloy. | Wenjing Gao Shuming Xing Ying Wang | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,12: | 2 |

| 9 | Al-free cladding-layer blue laser diodes with a low aspect ratio in far-field beam pattern显示文摘c-plane GaN-based blue laser diodes(LDs) were fabricated with Al-free cladding layers(CLs) and deepened etching depth of mesa structure, so the aspect ratio of the far-field pattern(FFP) of the laser beam can be reduced to as low as 1.7, which is nearly the same as conventional AlGa In P-based red LDs. By using GaN CLs,the radiation angle of the laser beam θ⊥ is only 10.1° in the direction perpendicular to the junction plane. After forming a deeply etched mesa, the beam divergence angle parallel to the junction plane of FFP, θ_(//), increases from4.9° to 5.8°. After using the modified structure, the operation voltage of LD is effectively reduced by 2 V at an injection current of 50 mA, but the threshold current value increases.
