| 1 | The research progress on lateral shift of reflected electromagnetic wave at the interface of two conductive media显示文摘In this paper the research status of lateral shift of reflected electromagnetic wave at the interface of conductive media was reviewed, the lateral shift and the lateral delay were analyzed, and the charac-teristic of lateral shift curves varying with the angle of incidence was introduced in detail. For electro-magnetic wave logging, the error correction method of lateral shift was stressed in this paper, the magnitude of measured errors caused by the lateral shift was established. It is noticed that the longer wavelength, the larger error of measured results. | 2 | Detailed sedimentary facies of a sandstone reservoir in the eastern zone of the Sulige gas field, Ordos Basin显示文摘Given sustaining exploration, the eastern zone of the Sulige gas field may soon become a key area of exploitation. In order to explore its genesis, types and distribution of the reservoir sandstones in the eastern zone of this gas field, we focused in our study on the provenance and detailed sedimentary facies of sandstone of the He8 (the eighth part of the Shihezi formation, Permian system) and Shanxi1 (the first part of the Shanxi formation, Permian system) members, based on core observations, analyses in petrography, granularity and logging. The results show that: 1) the sandstone provenance of Shanxi1 and He8 in the eastern zone of the Sulige gas field is from the north of the Ordos Basin, characterized by dual directions from the north and northeast. 2) The He8 and Shanxi1 members were deposited in a fluvial-delta sedimentary system. The He8 was mainly deposited in braided rivers, in-cluding braided channels, channel bars, levee and floodplain sub-environments, whereas the Shanxi1 Member was deposited in braided rivers and deltas, including braided channels, channel bars, floodplains, tributaries and inter-tributary sub-environments. 3) Sedimentary facies bands migrated in drastic fashion towards the basin from the Shanxi1 to the He8 Member. Base levels of sedi-mentation generally present a trend of small increases in-amplitude, large decreasing amplitudes and slow and gradual Increases. 4) The continuity of the reservoir sandbodies along the source direction is better than that perpendicular to the direction. | 3 | Restoration of electrical microenvironment enhances bone regeneration under diabetic conditions by modulating macrophage polarization显示文摘Macrophage-mediated inflammation compromises bone repair in diabetic patients.Electrical signaling cues are known to regulate macrophage functions.However,the biological effects of electrical microenvironment from charged biomaterials on the immune response for regulating osteogenesis under diabetic conditions remain to be elucidated.Herein the endogeneous electrical microenvironment of native bone tissue was recapitulated by fabricating a ferroelectric BaTiO_(3)/poly(vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene)(BTO/P(VDF-TrFE))nanocomposite membrane.In vitro,the polarized BaTiO_(3)/poly(vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene)(BTO/P(VDF-TrFE))nanocomposite membranes inhibited high glucose-induced M1-type inflammation,by effecting changes in cell morphology,M1 marker expression and pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion in macrophages.This led to enhanced osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BM-MSCs).In vivo,the biomimetic electrical microenvironment recapitulated by the polarized nanocomposite membranes switched macrophage phenotype from the pro-inflammatory(M1)into the pro-healing(M2)phenotype,which in turn enhanced bone regeneration in rats with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Mechanistic studies revealed that the biomimetic electrical microenvironment attenuated pro-inflammatory M1 macrophage polarization under hyperglycemic conditions by suppressing expression of AKT2 and IRF5 within the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway,thereby inducing favorable osteo-immunomodulatory effects.Our study thus provides fundamental insights into the biological effects of restoring the electrical microenvironment conducive for osteogenesis under DM conditions,and offers an effective strategy to design functionalized biomaterials for bone regeneration therapy in diabetic patients. | Xiaohan Dai Boon Chin Heng Yunyang Bai Fuping You Xiaowen Sun Yiping Li Zhangui Tang Mingming Xu Xuehui Zhang Xuliang Deng | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,7: | 9 |
| 4 | Remediation of Steel Slag on Acidic Soil Contaminated by Heavy Metal显示文摘The technology of in situ immobilization with amendments is an important measure that remediates the soil contaminated by heavy metals, and selecting economical and effective amendments is the key. The effects and mechanism of steel slag, the silicon-rich alkaline byproduct which can remediate acidic soil contaminated by heavy metal, are mainly introduced in this paper to provide theory reference for future research. Firstly, the paper analyzes current research situation of in situ immobilization with amendments. Then, it introduces the main physicochemical properties of steel slag, and the effect on soil pH value as well as heavy metal activity. Besides, the paper elaborates the promoting effect on silicon-requiring plant and the strengthening mechanism for its resistant capability of heavy metal. | 6 | Au nanoclusters suppress chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells by inhibiting thioredoxin reductase 1 to induce intracellular oxidative stress and apoptosis显示文摘Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia(CLL) is a rare blood cancer that always relapses as refractory disease and eventually leads to death. To date, therapeutic options for CLL patients are scarce and there is an urgent need to develop novel chemotherapeutics that are both effective and safe. Gold-containing compounds induce a lethal oxidative and endoplasmic reticulum stress response in cultured and primary CLL cells via inhibition of thioredoxin reductase(TrxR). However, traditional gold-containing medicines have revealed side effects during clinical applications. Therefore, safer gold-containing drugs are needed to overcome this challenge. In this study, a novel peptide templated gold cluster Au_(25)Sv_9 was synthesized and its therapeutic effect on CLL cells was evaluated. This nanocluster could induce cell apoptosis in MEC-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner which correlated with the uptake amount of clusters in cells.As expected, increasing intracellular reactive oxidative species(ROS) in MEC-1 cells was exhibited with the increase of cluster dosage. Further analyses demonstrated the underlying mechanism that the nanoclusters suppress the activity of TrxR1, increase the level of intracellular ROS, destroy the mitochondrial membrane potential and finally trigger the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway in MEC-1 cells.Furthermore, the direct interaction between Au_(25)Sv_9 clusters and TrxR1 was confirmed for the first time by isothermal titration calorimetry. | 10 | Effects of Rice-Fish Co-culture on Oxygen Consumption in Intensive Aquaculture Pond显示文摘Rice-fish co-culture has gained increasing attention to remediate the negative environmental impacts induced by intensive aquaculture. However, the effect of rice-fish co-culture on oxygen depletion has rarely been investigated. We constructed a rice-fish co-culture system in yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) and freshwater shrimp(Macrobrachium nipponense) ponds using a new high-stalk rice variety, and conducted a field experiment to investigate the effect of rice-fish co-culture on water parameters and oxygen consumption. The results showed that rice-fish co-culture reduced the nutrients(total nitrogen, ammonia-N, total phosphorous and potassium) and the dissolved oxygen content in fish and shrimp ponds. However, they showed similar seasonal change of dissolved oxygen in the water of fish and shrimp ponds. Rice-fish co-culture reduced the total amount of oxygen consumption and optimized the oxygen consumption structure in pond. The respiration rates in water and sediment were significantly reduced by 66.1% and 31.7% in the catfish pond, and 64.4% and 38.7% in the shrimp pond, respectively, by additional rice cultivation. Rice-fish co-culture decreased the proportions of respiration in sediment and water, and increased the proportion of fish respiration. | 11 | Impact of Rice-Catfish/Shrimp Co-culture on Nutrients Fluxes Across Sediment-Water Interface in Intensive Aquaculture Ponds显示文摘Exchange of nitrogen and phosphorus across sediment-water interface plays an important role in the management of nutrient recycling in the aquaculture pond. In this study, a plot experiment was conducted to study the effect of rice-catfish/shrimp co-culture on the micro-profile of oxygen (O2), pH and nutrient exchange across sediment-water interface in the intensive culture ponds. The results showed that rice-catfish co-culture increased the concentration and penetrating depth of O2, but decreased the pH value across the sediment-water interface, compared with catfish monoculture. Additional rice cultivation significantly reduced the flux rates of ammonium (NH4+) and nitrate (NO3-) across sediment-water interface in the catfish and shrimp ponds. The flux rates of NO2 - and soluble phosphorus (PO43-) showed no significant difference between rice-catfish/shrimp co-culture ponds and catfish/shrimp monoculture ponds. Rice only affected the dissolved inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus fractions in the sediment. The concentrations of NH4 + were significantly lower in the sediment of co-culture ponds than in the monoculture ponds. | 12 | On the instability of offshore foundations: theory and mechanism显示文摘As the offshore engineering moving from shallow to deep waters, the foundation types for fixed and floating platforms have been gradually evolving to minimize engineering costs and structural risks in the harsh offshore environments. Particular focus of this paper is on the foundation instability and its failure mechanisms as well as the relevant theory advances for the prevailing foundation types in both shallow and deep water depths. Piles, spudcans, gravity bases, suction caissons, and plate anchors are detailed in this paper. The failure phenomena and mechanisms for each type of foundations are identified and summarized, respectively. The theoretical approaches along with sophisticated empirical solutions for the bearing capacity problems are then presented. The major challenges are from flow-structure-soil coupling processes, rigorous constitutive modeling of cyclic behaviors of marine sediments, and the spatial variability of soil properties for large-spreading structures. Growth regularity and formation mechanism of ceramic coatings were discussed. It was found that during the first stage the growth rate of coatings toward the external surface was larger than that toward substrate and then the coating began to grow mainly towards Ti alloy. When the total coating thickness reaches a certain value, it would no longer increase. The zircons from the high-Mg diorite exhibit striped absorption and oscillatory growth zoning in the cathodoluminescence( CL) images,and have high Th/U ratios( 0. 05--0. 9),indicating a magma origin. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating indicates that206 Pb /238 U ages of 12 spots of zircons are between 167 Ma and 178 Ma,yielding a weighted mean206 Pb /238 U age of 172 ± 2 Ma( MSWD = 4. 1),which represents the forming age of the high-Mg dioritic dike,i. e. Middle Jurassic. Geochemically,the samples have SiO2= 55. 4--60. 6 wt. %,Na2 O = 2. 2--2. 76 wt. %,K2 O = 1. 32--2. 02 wt. % and( Na2 O + K2O) = 3. 82--4. 47 wt. %,belonging to sub-alkaline series and displaying a calc-alkaline evolutionary trend. They are characterized by high MgO( 4. 75--6. 85 wt. %),Mg#( 55--61),Cr( 130--262 ppm),Ni( 63--130 ppm),Sr( 568--857 ppm),and Ba( 484--1 130 ppm) contents,with geochemical features analogous to those of high-Mg adakites. They show variable εNd( t) values(-1. 3 to- 3. 9),with a weighted value of- 2. 7,which plot intermediately between the field of the ancient continental crust and the depleted mantle source,indicating that both the lower crust and mantle source are necessary for the generation of the parent magma of the Haicheng high-Mg diorites. We construct Least mean square filters(LMSF),and using LMSFs to evaluate the quality of halftone images. This paper proposes block conjugate property, and this property can be applied to hide a secret pattern.Therefore a data hiding method based on block conjugate can be proposed, and in this method two images should be divided into multiple blocks of M × N pixels, and in the corresponding block if the first M × N-1 pixels are conjugate or identical, the last pixel can implement normal halftone method instead of date hiding methods. | 20 | Multi-element analysis of Baijiu(Chinese liquors)by ICP-MS and their classification according to geographical origin显示文摘Objectives:Investigating the element profiles of Be,Al,V,Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn,As,Se,Rb,Sr,Ag,Cd,Cs,La,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Pb,Th,and U of Baijiu(Chinese liquors),and setting up their classification according to geographical origin.Materials and Methods:Twenty-eight Chinese liquors from Shandong,Guizhou,and Sichuan provinces were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with the aid of matrix matching,online internal calibration,and direct injection to determine the concentrations of the aforementioned 26 elements.Multivariate statistical analysis,based on the contents of elements in the liquors,was applied to differentiate the liquors from different origins.Results:Both the cluster analysis based on 11 elements and the discriminant analysis based on 5 elements can separate the liquors of Shandong Province from others.A leave-one-out cross test of the discriminant analysis data resulted in 100 per cent accuracy regarding the recognition ability and prediction ability for the liquors from Shandong Province,and an overall 75.0 per cent accuracy of its prediction for all the 28 total liquors.Limitations:The liquors of Guizhou and Sichuan provinces can not be differentiated successfully.Conclusions:The liquors produced in Shandong Province can be differentiated in a great extent from Guizhou and Sichuan provinces based on the multivariate statistical analysis of the concentration of elements in liquors,while those of Guizhou and Sichuan provinces can not be differentiated successfully due to their geographical adjacency. | Xuebo Song Min Hou Zhi Li Lin Zhu Fuping Zheng Mingquan Huang Xiaotao Sun Hehe Li Feng Chen Baoguo Sun | 2018 | Food Quality and Safety2018,2,1: | 3 |
