1Two cases of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia combined with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance and a literature review显示文摘To describe myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS)/myeloproliferative neoplasm(MPN) combined with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance(MGUS) in order to investigate the potential association between these 2 diseases. Two cases of confirmed chronic myelomonocytic leukemia(CMML) combined with MGUS were reported. In addition, prior publications of cases with combined MDS or MPN with MGUS were reviewed. The first case was of a 77-year-old man whose routine blood tests showed abnormal hemogram results. The diagnosis was CMML combined with Ig M monoclonal gammopathy, and the disease course was 4 years. The CMML gradually progressed and the patient presented with anemia, thrombocytopenia, autoimmune hemolysis, and an increase in the number of immature cells in the bone marrow. Although the MGUS caused fluctuations in the concentrations of Ig M, no Ig M-associated organ damage was observed. Eventually, this patient died from a lung infection. The second case was of a 78-year-old man who sought treatment because of fever and a cough. An increase in the number of monocytes was discovered in the peripheral blood. Bone marrow smear results suggested obvious active granulocytes and an increase in the percentages of promyelocytes, myelocytes, and metamyelocytes. Unhealthy granulocytes and immature monocytes could also be observed, and the percentage of monocytes was increased. In addition, serum Ig G levels were increased, and immunofixation electrophoresis results showed Ig G-κ type M proteins. The diagnosis was CMML combined with Ig G monoclonal gammopathy. These diseases were stable and follow-up was conducted for 1 year after diagnosis. The cases in this study combined with those that were reviewed in the relevant literature indicate that the presence of these 2 diseases in the same patient might not be a coincidence. The development of the 2 diseases in case 1 was different, and we speculate that they might have had different clonal origins. Whether CMML is a risk factor for MGUS and the role of clonal plasma cells in the occurrence and development of MDS and MDS/MPN requires further studies on a larger number of cases.Fengling Min Lijia Zhai Wei Zhou Xiaohui Gao Lina Zhang 2017Oncology and Translational Medicine2017,3,1:2

6Investigation on step overcharge to self-heating behavior and mechanism analysis of lithium ion batteries显示文摘To obtain intrinsic overcharge boundary and investigate overcharge mechanism,here we propose an innovative method,the step overcharge test,to reduce the thermal crossover and distinguish the overcharge thermal behavior,including 5%state of charge(SOC)with small current overcharge and resting until the temperature equilibrium under adiabatic conditions.The intrinsic thermal response and the self-excitation behaviour are analysed through temperature and voltage changes during the step overcharge period.Experimental results show that the deintercalated state of the cathode is highly correlated to self-heating parasitic reactions.Before reaching the upper limit of Negative/Positive(N/P)ratio,the temperature changes little,the heat generation is significantly induced by the reversible heat(endothermic)and ohmic heat,which could balance each other.Following that the lithium metal is gradually deposited on the surface of the anode and reacts with electrolyte upon overcharge,inducing selfheating side reaction.However,this spontaneous thermal reaction could be“self-extinguished”.When the lithium in cathode is completely deintercalated,the boundary point of overcharge is about 4.7 V(~148%SOC,>40℃),and from this point,the self-heating behaviour could be continuously triggered until thermal runaway(TR)without additional overcharge.The whole static and spontaneous process lasts for 115 h and the side reaction heat is beyond 320,000 J.The continuous self-excitation behavior inside the battery is attributed to the interaction between the highly oxidized cathode and the solvent,which leads to the dissolution of metal ions.The dissolved metal ions destroy the SEI(solid electrolyte interphase)film on the surface of the deposited Li of anode,which induces the thermal reaction between lithium metal and the solvent.The interaction between cathode,the deposited Li of anode,and solvent promotes the temperature of the battery to rise slowly.When the temperature of the battery reaches more than 60℃,the reaction between lithium metal and solvent is accelerated.After the temperature rises rapidly to the melting point of the separator,it triggers the thermal runaway of the battery due to the short circuit of the battery.Fengling Yun Shiyang Liu Min Gao Xuanxuan Bi Weijia Zhao Zenghua Chang Minjuan Yuan Jingjing Li Xueling Shen Xiaopeng Qi Ling Tang Yi Cui Yanyan Fang Lihao Guo Shangqian Zhao Xiangjun Zhang Shigang Lu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0

9Chromosomal Aberrations Induced by ^(12)C^(6+) Ions and ^(60)Co γ Rays in Mouse Immature Oocytes显示文摘The ovaries of Kun-Ming strain mice (3 weeks) were irradiated with different doses of I2C6+ ion or 60Coγ-ray. Chromosomal aberrations were analyzed in metaphaseⅡoocytes at 7 weeks after irradiation. The relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of 12C6+ion was calculated with respect to 60Coγ-ray for the induction of chromosomal aberrations. 10Ovarian,Uterine Weight and Germ Cell Loss Induced by ^(12)C^(6+) Ion Irradiation in Young Female Mice显示文摘The ovaries of Kun-Ming strain mice (3 weeks) were irradiated with different doses of Bragg peak or plateau region. At 10th after irradiation, ovarian and uterine weights were measured, normal and atretic primordial, primary, preantral follicles were identified in the largest cross-section of each ovary, and the ratio (%) of normal to total follicles of each developmental stage of oogenesis were calculated. 12Effect of Exogenous Wild Type p53 on Melanoma Cell Death Pathways Induced by Irradiation at Different LET显示文摘We investigated the effect of exogenous wild type p53 on the radiation induced cells apoptosis and necrosis at different levels of linear energy transfer (LET) to evaluate its mechanisms. The human melanoma cell line A375,which bore wild-type p53 gene status was used, as well as the transfectant A375 cells (A375/p53) with adenoviral vector containing the wild-type p53 gene. 13Tumor Carbohydrate Antigens and Strategies to Develop Cancer Vaccines and Drugs显示文摘Certain carbohydrate antigens of malignantly transformed cells have been identified as markers for the onset of cancer and have become targets for the development of anticancer vaccine therapies. For tumor antigens, many carbohydrate antigens belong to T-independent (TI) antigens. Carbohydrate conjugated to protein carriers can switch TI antigen to a T-dependent (TD) antigen. Attempts to add an innate immune response element (such as Toll-like receptor ligand) to carbohydrate TI-antigens have also been studied. Glycosylation inhibitors or small interfering RNA have also been used for antitumor and/or antiviral agents. 14Effects of Pre-exposure Mouse Pituitary with Low-dose^(60)Co γ-ray on Growth Hormone (GH) and Body Mass Induced by Subsequent High-dose Irradiation显示文摘The pituitary of the B6C3F1 hybrid strain mice were irradiated with 0.05 Gy of ^60Co γ-ray as the pre-exposure dose (D1), and were then irradiated with 2 Gy of ^60Co γ-ray as challenging irradiation dose (D2) at 4h after per-exposure. Body weight and serum growth hormone (GH) were measured at 35th day after irradiation. The results showed that irradiation of mouse testes with 2 Gy of ^60Co γ-ray significantly diminished mousebody weight and level of serum GH (Table). Pre-exposure with a low-dose (0.05 Gy) of ^60Co γ-ray significantly alleviated reductions of mouse body weight and level of serum GH induced by subsequent a high-dose (2 Gy) irradiation (Table).
