2Curcumin ameliorates hippocampal neuron damage induced by human immunodeficiency virus-1显示文摘Our previous studies have shown that infection with the gp120 V3 loop can cause human immunodeficiency virus-1 associated neurocognitive disorders. Curcumin has been shown to improve these effects to some degree, but the precise mechanisms remain unknown. The present study analyzed the neuroprotective effect and mechanism of curcumin in relation to hippocampal neurons. Results showed that 1 nmol/L gp120 V3 loop suppressed the growth of synapses. After administration of 1 μmol/L curcumin, synaptic growth improved. Curcumin is neuroprotective against gp120 V3 loop-induced neuronal damage by inhibiting the activation of L-type calcium currents, relieving intracellular Ca2+ overload, promoting Bcl-2 expression, and inhibiting Bax activation. 3Lactulose mediates suppression of dextran sulfate sodium-induced colon inflammation显示文摘Objective:Assessment of digestion colonic flora lactulose can be induced to produce hydrogen and prove lactulose with a potential anti-inflammatory effects. Methods:We established a mouse model of human ulcerative colitis (UC) by supplying mice with water containing dextran sulfate sodium (DSS). At 7-day, DSS-induced pathogenic outcomes, including loss of body weight, increase of colitis score, pathogenic shortening of colon length, elevated level of TNF-α, IL-1β, malondialdehyde (MDA) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) deficiency in colon lesions, were significantly suppressed by lactulose administration and intraperitoneally injected hydrogen water. Results:After eliminating colon microflora by antibiotics, the anti-inflammatory effects of lactulose were significantly compromised. Histological analysis also revealed that the DSS mediated colonic tissue destruction accompanied by neutrophils infiltration was remarkably suppressed by lactulose and hydrogen water. 4Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of NIN-like Protein(NLP)genes reveals their potential roles in the response to nitrate signaling in watermelon显示文摘To balance the relationship between high yield and low nitrogen supply,the nitrogen utilization efficiency of watermelon needs to be improved urgently.Nodule inception-like Protein(NLP)transcription factors play a key node role in nitrate response and growth and development of plant,however,comprehensive analysis of the NLP gene family in watermelon is unclear.This study explored the functional classification,evolutionary characteristics,and expression profile of the ClNLP gene family.Three ClNLPs were categorized into three groups according to their gene structure and phylogeny.All of them contained the conserved RWP-RK and PB1 domains.Evolutionary analysis of ClNLPs revealed that ClNLP1 and ClNLP3 underwent strong purified selection.In addition,cis-acting elements related to plant hormones and abiotic stresses were present in the ClNLP promoter.According to tissue-specific analysis ClNLP was widely expressed in roots,stems,leaves,flowers and fruits,and ClNLP1 was significantly induced in the roots of different nitrogen utilization varieties under different nitrate nitrogen supply.The SRTING functional protein association network suggested that ClNLP1 is associated with most genes,such as NRT1.1,NRT2.1,NIA1,and NIR1,and the dual-luciferase reporter assay found that ClNLP1 positively regulates the expression of ClNRT2.1.We speculated that ClNLP1 might play a central role in regulating the response of watermelon to nitrate nitrogen.Gaopeng Yuan Dexi Sun Yifan Wang Guolin An Weihua Li Wenjing Si Junpu Liu Yingchun Zhu 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,5:2

9Energy partitioning and evapotranspiration in a black locust plantation on the Yellow River Delta,China显示文摘Plantations of woody tree species play a crucial role in ecological security along coastal zones.Understanding energy partitioning and evapotranspiration can reveal land–atmosphere interaction processes.We investigated energy fluxes,evapotranspiration,and their related biophysical factors using eddy covariance techniques in a black locust(Robinia pseudoacacia L.)plantation in 2016,2018,and 2019 on the Yellow River Delta.Downward longwave radiation offsets 84–85%of upward longwave radiation;upward shortwave radiation accounted for 12–13%of downward shortwave radiation.The ratio of net radiation to downward radiation was 18–19%over the three years.During the growing season,latent heat flux was the largest component of net radiation;during the dormant season,the sensible heat flux was the dominant component of net radiation.The seasonal variation in daily evapotranspiration was mainly controlled by net radiation,air temperature,vapor pressure deficit,and leaf area index.Black locust phenology influenced daily evapotranspiration variations,and evapotranspiration was greater under sea winds than under land winds because soil water content at 10-cm depth was greater under sea winds during the day.Seasonal patterns of daily evaporative fraction,Bowen ratio,crop coefficient,Priestley–Taylor coefficient,surface conductance,and decoupling coefficient were mainly controlled by leaf area index.The threshold value of daily surface conductance was approximately 8 mm sover the plantation.Xiang Gao Zhenyu Du Qingshan Yang Jinsong Zhang Yongtao Li Xiaojie Wang Fengxue Gu Weiping Hao Zekun Yang Dexi Liu Jianmin Chu 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,4:1

11Modeling of gonioscopic anterior chamber angle grades based on anterior segment optical coherence tomography显示文摘Background:To quantitatively assess anterior chamber angle(ACA)structure by anterior segment optical coherence tomography(AS-OCT)and develop a model to evaluate angle width as defined by gonioscopy.Methods:The ACAs of each quadrant were evaluated by gonioscopy,classified by the Scheie grading system,and assigned into one of the three grades:small angle(SA),moderate angle(MA),and large angle(LA).The eyes were imaged by AS-OCT,and ACA structural parameters including angle opening distance at the scleral spur(AODSS)and at 750μm anterior to the scleral spur(AOD750),trabecular-iris space area at 750μm anterior to the scleral spur(TISA750),and a newly defined parameter“light intersection distance”(LID),were measured.The ACA structural data were used to construct an ordered logistic regression model for assignment of ACAs to one of the three angle grades.The validity of the model was then tested.Results:A total of 169 quadrants from 53 subjects were included in the analysis,of which 111 quadrants were included in the modeling data and 58 in the testing data.In pairwise comparisons of SA,MA,and LA by ANOVA,the measured parameters were as follows:AOD750(0.174±0.060 vs.0.249±0.068 vs.0.376±0.114 mm;P<0.001),TISA750(0.075±0.035 vs.0.117±0.036 vs.0.181±0.062 mm^(2);P<0.001),and LID(−0.300±0.187 vs.-0.085±0.170 vs.0.122±0.156 mm;P<0.001).The ACA grading model based on LID showed a relatively high correction rate of 72.4%,and the model efficiency,calculated using the receiver operating characteristic,showed an area under the curve of 0.740.Weighted kappa statistics showed a good agreement for multiple ACA grades(0.772).Conclusions:The AS-OCT-based multiple ACA grades model was demonstrated as a non-contact approach for ACA assessment with high speed and high spatial resolution,providing guidance for diagnosis of angle closure.Yingying Dai Shaodan Zhang Meixiao Shen Yuheng Zhou Mengyi Wang Jie Ye Dexi Zhu 2020Eye and Vision2020,7,1:0
12Composite topological nodal lines penetrating the Brillouin zone in orthorhombic AgF_(2)显示文摘It has recently been found that nonsymmorphic symmetries can bring many exotic band crossings.Here,based on symmetry analysis,we predict that materials with time-reversal symmetry in the space group of Pbca(No.61)possess rich symmetry-enforced band crossings,including nodal surfaces,fourfold degenerate nodal lines and hourglass Dirac loops,which appear in triplets as ensured by the cyclic permutation symmetry.We take Pbca AgF_(2) as an example in real systems and studied its band structures with ab initio calculations.Specifically,in the absence of spin-orbit coupling(SOC),besides the above-mentioned band degeneracies,this system features a nodal chain and a nodal armillary sphere penetrating the Brillouin zone(BZ).While with SOC,we find a new configuration of the hourglass Dirac loop/chain with the feature traversing the BZ,which originates from the splitting of a Dirac loop confined in the BZ.Furthermore,guided by the bulk-surface correspondence,we calculated the surface states to explore these bulk nodal phenomena.The evolution of these interesting nodal phenomena traversing the BZ under two specific uniaxial strains is also discussed.Dexi Shao Huaiqiang Wang Tong Chen Pengchao Lu Qinyan Gu Li Sheng Dingyu Xing Jian Sun 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:0
13Long scan depth optical coherence tomography on imaging accommodation: impact of enhanced axial resolution, signal-to-noise ratio and speed显示文摘Background:Spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)was a useful tool to study accommodation in human eye,but the maximum image depth is limited due to the decreased signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).In this study,improving optical resolutions,speeds and the SNR were achieved by custom built SD-OCT,and the evaluation of the impact of the improvement during accommodation was investigated.Methods:Three systems with different spectrometer designs,including two Charge Coupled Device(CCD)cameras and one Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Transistor(CMOS)camera,were tested.We measured the point spread functions of a mirror at different positions to obtain the axial resolution and the SNR of three OCT systems powered with a light source with a 50 nm bandwidth,centered at a wavelength of 840 nm.Two normal subjects,aged 26 and 47,respectively,and one 75-year-old patient with an intraocular lens implanted were imaged.Results:The results indicated that spectrometers using cameras with 4096 camera pixels optimized the axial resolutions,due to the use of the full spectrum provided by the light source.The CCD camera system with 4096 pixels had the highest SNR and the best image quality.The system with the CMOS camera with 4096 pixels had the highest speed but had a compromised SNR compared to the CCD camera with 4096 pixels.Conclusions:Using these three OCT systems,we imaged the anterior segment of the human eye before and after accommodation,which showed similar results among the different systems.The system using the CMOS camera with an ultra-long scan depth,high resolution and high scan speed exhibited the best overall performance and therefore was recommended for imaging real-time accommodation.Yilei Shao Aizhu Tao Hong Jiang Meixiao Shen Dexi Zhu Fan Lu Carol LKarp Yufeng Ye Jianhua Wang 2018Eye and Vision2018,5,1:0

15Steering and braking game control architecture based minimax robust stability control for emergency avoidance of autonomous vehicles显示文摘The existing electronic stability control(ESC)system does not consider the steering intention of an autonomous driving system(ADS)during autonomous driving emergency avoidance.The distributed control scheme between ESC and ADS does not involve any information interaction,and the balance between path tracking and lateral stability is not optimal.A Nash game control scheme of steering and braking system is proposed to ensure that both path tracking and stability are simultaneously in the loop and solve the conflict by simulating the interaction between the two agents considering the impact on the interaction between a path following and lateral stability.Each agent considers its interests and the opponent’s interest,resulting in a global optimal control solution of steering control and ESC.Then,using minimax optimization theory,a lateral stability strategy is proposed to make the game control architecture under emergency avoidance more robust to uncertain lateral disturbances.Finally,simulation and hardware in the loop experiments show that the proposed scheme can consider both vehicle’s path following performance and lateral stability in the event of an emergency.WU Jian WU DeXi YAN Yang ZHANG Ning BAO ChunJiang WANG FengBo 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4:0
16Correlation study of relative parameters of intracranial pressure and prognosis of patient with craniocerebral injury显示文摘Objective:To analyze the correlation of the relative parameters of intracranial pressure to the prognosis in patients with craniocerebral injury.Methods:The clinical data of 80 patients with closed craniocerebral injury were retrospectively analyzed,and all of these patients underwent conventional examinations of arterial blood pressure and intracranial pressure.Neumatic DCR system was used to monitor relative parameters of intracranial pressure from patients.According to the score of Glasgow outcome scale(GOS)upon discharge,they were divided into favorable prognosis group(GOSⅢ-Ⅴ,n=46)and unfavorable prognosis group(GOSⅠ-Ⅱ,n=34).The relative parameters of intracranial pressure of two groups were compared so as to analyze the correlation of the prognosis in patients to ICP-related parameters.Results:Pressure reactivity index(PRx)and intracranial pressure(ICP)of favorable prognosis group were significantly higher than those of unfavorable prognosis group(t=12.27,t=5.22,p<0.05).Meanwhile,cerebral perfusion pressure(CPP)and ICP-ABP wave amplitude correlation(IAAC)of favorable prognosis group were significantly lower than those of unfavorable prognosis group(t=14.54,t=14.78,p<0.05).The average age,gender,duration of admission to neurosurgical intensive care unit(NICU)and GCS(Glasgow coma scale)score on admission of the two groups were not statistically significant.Conclusions:The prognosis and ICP-related parameters(such as PRx,ICP,CPP,etc.)in patients with craniocerebral injury are risk factors for the prognosis effect.Therefore,to monitor the above-mentioned indicators has an important clinical value for assessing the prognosis of craniocerebral injury.Laixing Liu Yixin Deng Fuquan Liu Lei Chen Dexi Li Xiangyi Wang 2019Discussion of Clinical Cases2019,6,4:0
17Large Spin Hall Conductivity and Excellent Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity in Unconventional PtTe1.75 Monolayer显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials have gained lots of attention due to the potential applications.In this work,we propose that based on first-principles calculations,the(2×2)patterned PtTe_(2)monolayer with kagome lattice formed by the well-ordered Te vacancy(PtTe_(1.75))hosts large and tunable spin Hall conductivity(SHC)and excellent hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)activity.The unconventional nature relies on the A1@1b band representation of the highest valence band without spin–orbit coupling(SOC).The large SHC comes from the Rashba SOC in the noncentrosymmetric structure induced by the Te vacancy.Even though it has a metallic SOC band structure,theℤ_(2)invariant is well defined because of the existence of the direct bandgap and is computed to be nontrivial.The calculated SHC is as large as 1.25×10^(3)h/e(Ωcm)^(−1)at the Fermi level(EF).By tuning the chemical potential from EF−0.3 to EF+0.3 eV,it varies rapidly and monotonically from−1.2×10^(3)to 3.1×10^(3)h/e(Ωcm)^(−1)In addition,we also find that the Te vacancy in the patterned monolayer can induce excellent HER activity.Our results not only offer a new idea to search 2D materials with large SHC,i.e.,by introducing inversion–symmetry breaking vacancies in large SOC systems,but also provide a feasible system with tunable SHC(by applying gate voltage)and excellent HER activity.Dexi Shao Junze Deng Haohao Sheng Ruihan Zhang Hongming Weng Zhong Fang Xing-Qiu Chen Yan Sun Zhijun Wang 2023Research2023,,3:0
18Deadlock Detection in FPGA Design: A Practical Approach显示文摘Formal verification of VHSIC Hardware Description Language(VHDL) in Field-Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) design has been discussed for many years. In this paper we provide a practical approach to do so. We present a semi-automatic way to verify FPGA VHDL software deadlocks, especially those that reside in automata.A domain is defined to represent the VHDL modules that will be verified; these modules will be transformed into Verilog models and be verified by SMV tools. By analyzing the verification results of SMV, deadlocks can be found;after looking back to the VHDL code, the deadlocking code is located and the problem is solved. VHDL verification is particularly important in safety-critical software. As an example, our solution is applied to a Multifunction Vehicle Bus Controller(MVBC) system for a train. The safety properties were tested well in the development stage, but experienced a breakdown during the long-term software testing stage, which was mainly caused by deadlocks in the VHDL software. 20Hepatitis B Virus Induces Microtubule Stabilization to Promote Productive Infection through Upregulating Microtubule-associated Protein 1S显示文摘Background and Aims:Continuous release and transmission of hepatitis B virus(HBV)is one of the main factors leading to chronic hepatitis B(CHB)infection.However,the mechanism of HBV-host interaction for optimal viral transport is unclear.Hence,we aimed to explore how HBV manipulates microtubule-associated protein 1S(MAP1S)and microtubule(MT)to facilitate its transport and release.Methods:The expression of MAP1S or acetylated MT was investigated by immunofluorescence,RT-PCR,immunoblotting,and plasmid transfection.MAP1S overexpression or knockdown was performed by lentiviral infection or shRNA transfection,respectively.HBV DNA was quantified using q-PCR.Results:Significantly higher level of MAP1S in HepG2215 cells compared with HepG2 cells was detected using RT-PCR(p<0.01)and immunoblotting(p<0.001).Notably,stronger MAP1S expression was observed in the liver tissues of patients with CHB than in healthy controls.MAP1S overexpression or knockdown demonstrated that MAP1S promoted MT acetylation and reduced the ratio of HBV DNA copies inside to outside cells.Further,transfection with the hepatitis B virus X protein(HBx)-expressing plasmids induced significantly higher level of MAP1S than that in controls(p<0.0001),whereas HBVX−mutant-encoding HBV proteins(surface antigen,core protein,and viral DNA polymerase)hardly affected its expression.Conclusions:These results demonstrate that HBx induces the forma tion of stable MTs to promote the release of HBV particles through upregulating MAP1S.Thus,our studies delineate a unique molecular pathway through which HBV manipulates the cytoskeleton to facilitate its own transportation,and indicate the possibility of targeting MAP1S pathway for treatment of patients with CHB.Yuanyue Guan Bin Sun Shijie Zhang Yuan Zhuang Yanxiang Huang Minghua Lin Rongling Zheng Dexi Chen Ying Shi Yanjun Wang 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,3:0
