| 1 | Object-based image analysis for mapping geomorphic zones of coral reefs in the Xisha Islands, China显示文摘Mapping regional spatial patterns of coral reef geomorphology provides the primary information to understand the constructive processes in the reef ecosystem. However, this work is challenged by the pixel-based image classification method for its comparatively low accuracy. In this paper, an object-based image analysis(OBIA)method was presented to map intra-reef geomorphology of coral reefs in the Xisha Islands, China using Landsat 8satellite imagery. Following the work of the Millennium Coral Reef Mapping Project, a regional reef class hierarchy with ten geomorphic classes was first defined. Then, incorporating the hierarchical concept and integrating the spectral and additional spatial information such as context, shape and contextual relationships, a large-scale geomorphic map was produced by OBIA with accuracies generally more than 80%. | 2 | Neural-Network-Based Control for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems with Input Saturation Under Stochastic Communication Protocol显示文摘In this paper,an adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)strategy is investigated for discrete-time nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinear dynamics subject to input saturation.To save the communication resources between the controller and the actuators,stochastic communication protocols(SCPs)are adopted to schedule the control signal,and therefore the closed-loop system is essentially a protocol-induced switching system.A neural network(NN)-based identifier with a robust term is exploited for approximating the unknown nonlinear system,and a set of switch-based updating rules with an additional tunable parameter of NN weights are developed with the help of the gradient descent.By virtue of a novel Lyapunov function,a sufficient condition is proposed to achieve the stability of both system identification errors and the update dynamics of NN weights.Then,a value iterative ADP algorithm in an offline way is proposed to solve the optimal control of protocol-induced switching systems with saturation constraints,and the convergence is profoundly discussed in light of mathematical induction.Furthermore,an actor-critic NN scheme is developed to approximate the control law and the proposed performance index function in the framework of ADP,and the stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed in view of the Lyapunov theory.Finally,the numerical simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme. | Xueli Wang Derui Ding Hongli Dong Xian-Ming Zhang | 2021 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,4: | 5 |
| 3 | Enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production performance of pillararene-doped mesoporous TiO_(2) with extended visible-light response显示文摘Pillararenes are a new type of supramolecular hosts,and they have been widely applied in drug delivery,catalysis,separation process,and sensors.However,they have rarely been used to produce hydrogen.Here,we report that pillararenes were used as functional molecules to explore photocatalysts and efficiently promoted hydrogen production from water.The most common and easily synthesized pdimethoxy pillar[5]arene(PI-OMe) was employed to form an organic-inorganic hybrid material with titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),denoted as PI-OMe-TiO_(2).using a convenient sol-gel method.When the material was loaded with Pt nanoparticles,the resulting Pt/PI-OMe-TiO_(2)had a good activity and stability in catalyzing water splitting to produce hydrogen under visible light.The optimized catalyst Pt/PI-OMe-TiO_(2)(5.2 wt%)had a photocatalytic hydrogen production rate of 1736 μmol g^(-1)h^(-1) under visible light(λ> 420 nm)irradiation.The catalyst with a Pt loading of 0.5 wt% and a PI-OMe content of 5.2 wt% also showed good long-term durability after 10 cycles of 50 h testing.The total amount of hydrogen produced was65.01 mmol/g,and the corresponding turnover number(TON) value was 2084.Our findings suggest that pillararene derivatives are promising functional molecules to make efficient and stable hybrid photocatalysts with TiO_(2)and open a new door to hydrogen production using visible light. | Haimei Wu Mengyuan Wang Fang Jing Derui Kong Yifan Chen Chunman Jia Jianwei Li | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4: | 1 |

| 6 | Carbon footprint of crop production in Heilongjiang land reclamation area,China显示文摘In the context of global warming,agriculture,as the second-largest source of greenhouse gas emissions after industry,had attracted widespread attention from all walks of life to reduce agricultural emissions.The carbon footprint of the planting production system of the Heilongjiang Land Reclamation Area(HLRA),an important commodity grain base in China,was evaluated and analyzed in this paper.On this basis,this paper sought feasible strategies to reduce carbon emissions from two aspects:agronomic practices and cropping structure adjustment,which were particularly crucial to promote the low-carbon and sustainable development of agriculture in HLRA.Therefore,using the accounting methods in IPCC and Low Carbon Development and Guidelines for the Preparation of Provincial Greenhouse Gas Inventories compiled by the Chinese government,relevant data were collected from 2000 to 2017 in HLRA and accounted for the carbon emissions of the planting production system in four aspects:carbon emissions from agricultural inputs,N_(2)O emissions from managed soils,CH_(4) emissions from rice cultivation and straw burning emissions.Then carbon uptake consisted of seeds and straws.Finally,with farmers'incomes were set as the objective function and carbon emissions per unit of gross production value was set as the constraint,this paper simulated and optimized the cropping structure in HLRA.The results showed that there was a“stable-growing-declining”trend in the total carbon emissions and carbon uptake of the planting production system in HLRA,with total carbon emissions of 2.84×10^(10) kg and total carbon uptake of 7.49×10^(10) kg in 2017.In the past 18 years,carbon emissions per unit area and carbon emissions per unit of gross production had both shown a decreasing trend.To achieve further efficiency gains and emission reductions in the planting production system,it was recommended that the local governments strengthen the comprehensive use of straw resources,optimize irrigation and fertilization techniques,and adjust the cropping structure,i.e.,increase the planting area of maize and soybeans and reduce the planting area of rice,and increase subsidies to protect the economic returns of planters. | Tianshu Chu Lu Yu Derui Wang Zengling Yang | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,1: | 0 |
