1Characteristics and tectonic setting of volcanic rocks in Early Cretaceous Baiyingaolao Formation of Keyouzhongqi area,Inner Mongolia显示文摘The authors studied zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating,the zircon Hf isotope and geochemistry of acidic volcanic rocks in Baiyingaolao Formation of Keyouzhongqi area,Inner Mongolia,and discussed the chronology,source region and tectonic setting of the volcanic rocks in the studied area. The clear oscillatory zoning of zircons indicates a typical magmatic origin,and the results of dating show that the volcanic rocks of Baiyingaolao Formation were formed in Early Cretaceous( 121. 5 ± 1. 0 Ma). The features of major and trace elements show that the rocks are alkali-rich,poor in calcium and magnesium with enrichment in LILEs like Th,U,K and Gd and depletion in HFSEs,e. g. Nb,Ta,Sr and Ti. The fact implies that they were the products of partial melting of the crust. εHf( t) =( +6.30--+9.06) and TDM2= 600--835 Ma,suggest the magma originated from partial melting of the young crust. 2Variation of Antarctic seal population in response to human activities in the 20th century显示文摘A sediment core was collected from the Fildes Peninsula of Antarctica, which contained numerous seal hairs and was identified to be seal excrement deposition. By analyzing its total organic carbon (TOC) and concentrations of bio-elements, the seal population changes of the past century were reconstructed. The variation of seal population in the last century on the Fildes Peninsula is primarily controlled by human activities. The sealing industry in the early 20th century caused the dramatic decline of seal popula-tion. 3The first determination of atmospheric phosphine in Antarctica显示文摘It is generally thought that phosphine (PH3) concentrations exist at the low ng/m3 level during the night and at the pg/m3 level during daylight in the remote atmosphere of the lower troposphere. The first de- termination of gaseous PH3 on the Antarctic Millor Peninsula is reported in this paper. No PH3 was de- tected in the air samples around 10:00 when it was sunny. However, PH3 was found in all the 10:00 air samples when it was cloudy or light snow with the average of 75.3±28.8 ng/m3 (n=5). It was also found in nearly all the samples around 22:00 with the average of 87.2±70.9 ng/m3 (n=11). Atmospheric PH3 concentrations around 22:00 were generally higher than those around 10:00 in January and they were almost the same in February. In addition, PH3 concentrations around 22:00 showed a downtrend with the decreasing air temperature, suggesting that light intensity and air temperature had an important effect on atmospheric PH3 concentration. It is very surprising to have found that high concentrations of PH3 exist in the Antarctic atmosphere under the influence of strong UV-radiation and light intensity. The tentative analyses show that dry, cold and very clean atmosphere may be very suitable for the PH3 sur- vival and cause the concentration to increase and accumulate in the local atmosphere. New ap- proaches for the PH3 formation and the process of atmospheric chemistry may exist under such an extreme environment. 17Assessing the U^(K′)_(37)-sea surface temperature relationship in shallow marine waters显示文摘To investigate the relationship between the alkenone unsaturation index(U^(K′)_(37)) and sea surface temperature(SST) in coastal and continental shelf waters, 58 surface sediment samples were collected from the South China Sea(SCS), Taiwan Strait,and East China Sea(ECS). We combined the new results with the previously published 71 data points from the SCS, the shallow water areas of the Yellow Sea(YS) and northern ECS, to form a dataset with sample sites spanning across 6°N and 37°N(including annual SST calibration between 14.3℃ and 28.6℃). With this dataset, we examined the U^(K′)_(37)-SST relationship based on 129 samples from the Western North Pacific(WNP) margin as well as using 85 samples from specific WNP shallow water.The U^(K′)_(37)index from the low-mid latitudinal WNP margin demonstrated a good correlation with the surface annual mean SST(0–50 m water depth;R^(2)=0.89). The slope of linear regression(U^(K′)_(37)-SST) based on the coastal-continental shelf samples with water depth less than 200 m is similar to that of the published global open ocean regression equation. These results confirm that U^(K′)_(37)can be used as a shallow sea water SST proxy in mid-low latitudes of the WNP marginal seas. In addition, our reintegrated U^(K′)_(37)-SST results based on 172 global shallow water samples are similar(similar slopes and intercepts) to the shallow ocean results in the WNP marginal seas. However, the similarity of the regression formula to the open ocean does not imply that the formula is applicable. For example, of the 85 data in the shallow waters from the marginal sea in this study, the majority of data points lie above the regression line, showing positive residuals for U^(K′)_(37). This regression bias appears to be caused by specific marine environments, such as warm ocean currents and/or high nutrient conditions that result in positive U^(K′)_(37)residuals. 18Meta-DNA Strategy to Assemble DNA Structures in Submicrometre and Micrometre Scale显示文摘To break through the size limitation in DNA structure assembly and to achieve the construction of DNA structures with submicrometre and micrometre scale,Fan and Yan et al.proposed a versatile DNA structure assembly strategy,named as meta-DNA(M-DNA)strategy.Submicrometre-sized M-DNA,which has a six-helix bundle DNA origami nanostructure,is used as building block to precisely assemble a series of submicrometre-to-micrometre-sized DNA architectures with customed shapes,including meta-multi-arm junctions,polyhedrons and closely packed lattices.Besides static assembly,the proposed M-DNA strategy was also demonstrated to work well for the programmed dynamic rearrangement of DNA structures.This work has been published online in the Nature Chemistry on September 7,2020.KONG Deming 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,6:0
19Flow characteristics of three-phase foam in mine gob and its application显示文摘To study the flow characteristics of three-phase foam in gob area,different perfusion experiments in coal mine gob were designed and put forward in the paper.Through the observation of flow range,flow characteristics of three phase foam were analyzed with different flow rates.And,unsteady seepage process of three-phase foam was simulated with CFD software.Base on experiment and numerical simulation results,flow characteristics of three-phase foam and its major influence factors are discussed,and the optimal arrangement distribution of mine fire control drills is also determined.Research results show that the flow range and stacking height of three-phase foam in gob are significantly influenced by gravity.The vertical stacking height and horizontal diffusion distance of three-phase foam are also directly related to the flow volume of foam perfusion,the larger flow single hole perfusion volume,the higher stacking height and the longer diffusion distance could be obtained.Shi Guoqing Liu Maoxi Kong Jia Wang Deming 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,5:0
