| 2 | CATHODIC PROCESS AND WEAR RESISTANCE OF ELECTRO-DEPOSITED RE-Ni-W-P-SiC COMPOSITE COATING显示文摘Cathodic deposition current density of the composite coatings increases when SiC par-ticles and rare earth (RE) were added in the bath, which is profitable for Ni- W-P alloyto deposit in the cathod, forming Ni-W-P-SiC and RE-Ni-W-P-SiC composite coat-ings. On the contrary, the addition of PTFE in the bath decreases cathodic depositioncurrent density of the coatings. The current density increases a little when the amountof RE is 7-9g/l; however, the current density increases greatly when the amount ofRE is increased to 11-13g/l. But if the amount of RE is raised further, the currentdensity decreases. | 3 | Modeling and performance analysis of energy selective electron (ESE) engine with heat leakage and transmission probability显示文摘A model of an energy selective electron (ESE) engine with linear heat leakage and Lorentzian transmission probability is established in this paper.The expressions for the main performance parameters of the ESE engine operating as a heat engine or a refrigerator are derived by using the theory of finite time thermodynamics.The optimum performances of the ESE engine are explored and the influences of the heat leakage,the central energy level of the resonance,and the width of the resonance on the performance of the ESE engine are analyzed by using detailed numerical examples.The optimal operation regions of power output and efficiency (or cooling load and coefficient of performance (COP)) are also discussed.Moreover,the performances of the ESE engine with Lorentzian transmission probability are compared with those with rectangular transmission probability.It is shown that the power output versus efficiency (or cooling load versus COP) characteristic curves with and without heat leakage are all closed loop-shaped ones.The efficiency (or COP) of the ESE engine decreases as the heat leakage increases.It is found that as the resonance width increases,the power output and efficiency (or cooling load and COP) increase to a maximum and then decrease due to the finite range of energies which contribute positively to the power generation or refrigeration in the electron system.Especially,when heat leakage is taken into account,the characteristic curves of maximum efficiency (or maximum COP) versus half resonance width are parabolic-like ones,which are quite different from the monotonic decreasing characteristic curves obtained in previous analyses without considering heat leakage.The results obtained in this paper can provide some theoretical guidelines for the design and operation of practical electron energy conversion devices such as solid-state thermionic refrigerators. | DING ZeMin,CHEN LinGen & SUN FengRui College of Naval Architecture and Power,Naval University of Engineering,Wuhan 430033,China Received December 24,2010 accepted May 30,2011 published online September 9,2011 | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011，54，11： | 14 |

| 7 | MODELING OF FERRITE GRAIN GROWTH OF LOW CARBON STEELS DURING HOT ROLLING显示文摘For most commercial steels the prediction of the final properties depends on accurately calculating the room temperature ferrite grain size. A grain growth model is proposed for low carbon steels Q235B during hot rolling. By using this model, the initial ferrite grain size after continuous cooling and ferrite grain growing in coiling procedure can be predicted. Finally, in-plant trials were performed in the hot strip mill of Ansteel. The calculated final ferrite grain sizes are in good agreement with the experimental ones. | 8 | Diurnal SST warming in the Bay of Biscay:satellite measurements and model prediction显示文摘NOAA AVHRR data from the Bay of Biscay between 1988 and 1990 have been examined in order to extract information on the fluctuations of sea surface temperature (SST) at the diurnal time scale. The temporal and spatial distributions of diurnal warming in the area are obtained. The diurnal warming occurs during the summer months. Large diurnal warming in excess of 1℃ is found within 100 km along the west coast of France and within 30 km along the north coast of Spain. In the central Bay of Biscay the diurnal warming is typically about 0.5℃. The diurnal warming up to 6℃ is observed occasionally in the coastal areas where the wind speed is very low. A one-dimensional oceanic mixed-layer model has been used to simulate the diurnal warming. The results demonstrate that the diurnal warming increases with the decrease of the wind speed and the increase of the net heat flux. | 10 | Phylogenetic relationship of Podocopida (Ostracoda: Podocopa) based on 18S ribosomal DNA sequences显示文摘Nucleotide sequences from 18S rDNA of 11 ostracodes, which represent four suborders and six superfamilies of podocopidan, were determined. The phylogenetic relationships were analyzed based on three kinds of methods (maximum-likelihood, maximum-parsimony, and neighbor-joining), and the three topologies gained were basically similar. | 14 | Optimal guaranteed cost control for fuzzy descriptor systems with time-varying delay显示文摘Based on the delay-independent rule, the problem of optimal guaranteed cost control for a class of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S ) fuzzy descriptor systems with time-varying delay is studied. A linear quadratic cost function is considered as the performance index of the closed-loop system. Suffcient conditions for the existence of guaranteed cost controllers via state feedback are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and the design of an optimal guaranteed cost controller can be reduced to a convex optimization problem. It is shown that the designed controller not only guarantees the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop fuzzy descriptor delay system, but also provides an optimized upper bound of the guaranteed cost.
