1Acupuncture promotes functional recovery after cerebral hemorrhage by upregulating neurotrophic factor expression显示文摘Acupuncture is widely used in the treatment of cerebral hemorrhage,and it improves outcomes in experimental animal models and patients.However,the mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment for cerebral hemorrhage are still unclear.In this study,a model of intracerebral hemorrhage was produced by injecting 50μL autologous blood into the caudate nucleus in Wistar rats.Acupuncture at Baihui(DU20)and Qubin(GB7)acupoints was performed at a depth of 1.0 inch,12 hours after blood injection,once every 24 hours.The needle was rotated at 200 r/min for 5 minutes,For each 30-minute session,needling at 200 r/min was performed for three sessions,each lasting 5 minutes.For the positive control group,at 6 hours,and 1,2,3 and 7 days after induction of hemorrhage,the rats were intraperitoneally injected with 1 mL aniracetam(0.75 mg/mL),three times a day.The Bederson behavioral test was used to assess palsy in the contralateral limbs.Western blot assay was used to examine the expression levels of Nestin and basic fibroblast growth factor in the basal ganglia.Immunohistochemistry was performed to count the number of Nestin-and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor-positive cells in the basal ganglia.Acupuncture effectively reduced hemorrhage and brain edema,elevated the expression levels of Nestin and basic fibroblast growth factor in the basal ganglia,and increased the number of Nestin-and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor-positive cells in the basal ganglia.Together,these findings suggest that acupuncture promotes functional recovery after cerebral hemorrhage by increasing the expression of neurotrophic factors.The study was approved by the Committee for Experimental Animals of Heilongjiang Medical Laboratory Animal Center(approval No.2017061001)on June 10,2017.Dan Li Qiu-Xin Chen Wei Zou Xiao-Wei Sun Xue-Ping Yu Xiao-Hong Dai Wei Teng 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,8:24
2Application of P507 and isooctanol extraction system in recovery of scandium from simulated red mud leach solution显示文摘The current recovery technique of Sc was complicated and the chemical consumption was high,This was due to the low content of Sc in resources and the difficulty of stripping.In this research,the isooctanol was added into the 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(P507)extraction system to reduce the extraction and improve the stripping of Sc.The maximum stripping ratio of Sc from loaded organic phase by sulfuric acid can increase from 10%(without isooctanol)to 99%(with 15 vol%isooctanol).In the extraction test of the simulated red mud leaching liquor,the separation factors between Sc and Zr,Sc and Ti are 36 and 350,separately.At the same time,other metals are almost not extracted.The high selectivity and stripping of Sc suggest that the P507 with isooctanol extraction system can be applied in the practical Sc recovery process.Chuanying Liu Li Chen Ji Chen Dan Zou Yuefeng Deng Deqian Li 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:22

4Effect and mechanism of Irbesartan on occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias in rats with myocardial ischemia through connexin43(cx43)显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect and mechanism of angiotensin Ⅱ receptor blockers-Irbesartan on occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias in rats with myocardial ischemia. Methods: Rats with embryonic cardiomyocytes-H9c2 were randomly divided into control group, ischemia group, Irbesartan group and Irbesartan+ischemia group. The cell viability of rats in each group was tested using MTT. Real-time PCR was employed to detect the expression of connexin43(Cx43) mR NA and western blot to detect the expression of Cx43 and phosphorylated Cx43. SD rats were randomly divided into the sham-operation group(SO), myocardial infarction group(MI), Irbesartan group and MI+ Irbesartan group, with 10 rats in each group. HE staining was employed to observe the change in the pathomorphology of left ventricular tissue and TUNEL method to analyze the cell apoptosis in the tissue. The immunofluorescence was adopted to observe the expression and distribution of Cx43 in the left ventricular myocardium and study the change in the expression of Cx43 in the cardiac muscular tissue at mR NA and protein level. Results: The intervention of Irbesartan in the condition of ischemia indicated the significant decrease in the number of necrotic cells. The expression of Cx43 was significantly decreased under the culture of ischemia(P<0.05), but in the presence of Irbesartan, the expression of Cx43 was increased compared with the ischemia group(P<0.01). The results of WB assay showed the similar trend of change at mRNA level. There was the significant difference in the score of ventricular arerythmia between MI group and SO group(P<0.01). The incidence of ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation was significantly increased compared with the one in SO group(P<0.05). There was the significant difference in the overall score between MI+Irbesartan group and MI group(P<0.05). The expression of Cx43 in the cardiac muscular tissue in MI group was significantly decreased(P<0.01 vs SO group). But the expression of Cx43 was increased after the treatment with Irbesartan. Conclusions: Irbesartan can inhibit the injury of H9c2 cardiomyocytes and the decreased expression of Cx43 that are induced by the ischemic myocardial infarction. 8Kinetics of nitric acid leaching of cerium from oxidation roasted Baotou mixed rare earth concentrate显示文摘The kinetics of nitric acid leaching of cerium was investigated for the oxidation roasted Baotou mixed rare earth concentrate. The effects of leaching temperature, HNO_3 concentration, liquidesolid ratio(L/S)and stirring rate on rare earth extraction were studied. The XRD and SEM mapping analysis of the samples before and after acid leaching shows that the roasted bastnaesite is completely leached. Besides,the decomposition process of oxidizing roasting was also obtained by TGe MS and XRD. Different kinetics models were applied in this leaching process. The results of dynamic fitting show that the leaching process can be described by a new variant of the shrinking-core model. And the leaching rate is controlled by both the interfacial transfer and diffusion through the product layer. The apparent activation energy is calculated as 76.78 kJ/mol and the reaction orders with respect to HNO_3 concentrations and liquidesolid ratio are determined to be 7.609 and 2.516, respectively. 9Survival of people living with HIV after treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine in Henan province of China: a retrospective cohortstudy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To provide survival estimates of people living with human immunodeficiency virus(PLHIV) after treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in rural China, to identify the prognostic factors at enrollment, and to explore the effectiveness of TCM intreating PLHIV.METHODS: PLHIV who enrolled in national TCM HIV treatment trial program in October 2004 were analyzed in this study and followed up to October 2010. Survival time was estimated by the Kaplan-Meier curve and hazard ratios, and identifying prognostic factors were computed through Cox proportional hazard models.RESULTS:A total of 1666 PLHIV were included with 102 591 person-months of follow-up. Overall, 312(18.7%) patients died. The total mortality rate over the study period was 3.6 per 100 person-years,which was lower than the worldwide rate. The cumulative survival rate was 95.9% at 1 year[95% confidence interval(CI)(94.8-96.8)] and 80.4% at 6years [95% CI(78.4-82.3)]. Elevated death risks emerged among males, older individuals, and thosewithlowerCD4+T-cellcounts.CONCLUSION: TCM could increase survival and lengthen the life span of PLHIV in Henan province of China, as shown by our retrospective cohort study. Factors such as sex, age, education, and CD4+ T-cell counts correlated to survival. 12Isolation and identification of sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens显示文摘This study was aimed to isolate sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens and to identify the predominant bacteria. Thirty-week old healthy laying hens were killed, and the chyme in the digestive tract was inoculated into modified Czapek medium containing sinapin and cultivated at 37 ℃for 10 days. The optical density(OD) values of the bacterial solutions at different cultivating times were detected by a spectrophotometric method. The predominant strains were identified by 16 S rRNA gene analysis. We extracted the extracellular products of the predominant strains to determine the total protein using the Coomassie brilliant blue method, and to determine the activities of some extracellular enzymes using the agar plate diffusion method. Nine strains were isolated from the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. Among the 9 strains, 5 were from the ileum, 2 were from the ceca and 2 were from the jejunum. We could not isolate any strains from the upper intestinal tract, such as the stomach and duodenum. Eight of those 9 isolated strains were gram negative and one was gram positive. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were better than other strains in their abilities to degrade sinapine. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were identified as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively, by the 16 S rRNA sequence analysis.The total protein level of the extracellular products was 1.213 g/L for YD-1 and 1.990 g/L for YD-2. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 had the activities of protease, amylase and urease. This study confirmed that the primary site of sinapine degradation is in the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. The sinapine-degrading strains are mainly gram negative. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 are predominant in degrading sinapine and they belong to E. coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 contain protease, amylase and urease. 13Flexible Polydimethylsiloxane Composite with Multi-Scale Conductive Network for Ultra-Strong Electromagnetic Interference Protection显示文摘Highly conductive polymer composites(CPCs) with excellent mechanical flexibility are ideal materials for designing excellent electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding materials,which can be used for the electromagnetic interference protection of flexible electronic devices.It is extremely urgent to fabricate ultra-strong EMI shielding CPCs with efficient conductive networks.In this paper,a novel silver-plated polylactide short fiber(Ag@PL ASF,AAF) was fabricated and was integrated with carbon nanotubes(CNT) to construct a multi-scale conductive network in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) matrix.The multi-scale conductive network endowed the flexible PDMS/AAF/CNT composite with excellent electrical conductivity of 440 S m-1and ultra-strong EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE) of up to 113 dB,containing only 5.0 vol% of AAF and 3.0 vol% of CNT(11.1wt% conductive filler content).Due to its excellent flexibility,the composite still showed 94% and 90% retention rates of EMI SE even after subjected to a simulated aging strategy(60℃ for 7 days) and 10,000 bending-releasing cycles.This strategy provides an important guidance for designing excellent EMI shielding materials to protect the workspace,environment and sensitive circuits against radiation for flexible electronic devices.Jie Li He Sun Shuang-Qin Yi Kang-Kang Zou Dan Zhang Gan-Ji Zhong Ding-Xiang Yan Zhong-Ming Li 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,1:4
14Less and shrunken pollen 1(LSP1) encodes a member of the ABC transporter family required for pollen wall development in rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Pollen fertility is an agronomic trait that strongly influences rice yield. Recent studies have revealed that the development of the pollen wall is required for pollen fertility and is regulated by several genes. However, the mechanisms underlying pollen and pollen wall development in rice remain largely unknown. In the present study, a point mutation in a gene on chromosome 1 was identified that resulted in the production of less and shrunken pollen(LSP) and led to defects in pollen wall formation. This gene was named LSP1 and was found to encode a member of the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette(ABC)transporter G subfamily, OsABCG3. Two other loss-of-function mutants of LSP1/OsABCG3,generated using CRISPR/Cas9 technology, showed the same male sterile phenotype. The LSP1/OsABCG3 gene showed a spatio-temporal expression pattern in the developing anthers, and is an ortholog of the Arabidopsis genes At ABCG1 and At ABCG16, which play an important role in pollen wall development. Mutation of LSP1/OsABCG3 affected the expression of several genes involved in pollen and pollen wall formation. 16Advances in isolation and detection of circulating tumor cells based on microfluidics显示文摘Circulating tumor cells(CTCs) are the cancer cells that circulate in the peripheral blood after escaping from the original or metastatic tumors. CTCs could be used as non-invasive source of clinical information in early diagnosis of cancer and evaluation of cancer development. In recent years, CTC research has become a hotspot field wherein many novel CTC detection technologies based on microfluidics have been developed. Great advances have been made that exhibit obvious technical advantages, but cannot yet satisfy the current clinical requirements. In this study, we review the main advances in isolation and detection methods of CTC based on microfluidics research over several years, propose five technical indicators for evaluating these methods, and explore the application prospects. 17Fluorination-substitution effect on all-small-molecule organic solar cells显示文摘Due to the strong crystallinity and anisotropy of small molecules, matched molecular photoelectric properties and morphologies between small molecules and non-fullerene acceptors are especially important in all-small-molecule organic solar cells(OSCs).Introducing fluorine atoms has been proved as an effective strategy to achieve a high device performance through tuning molecular energy levels, absorption and assembly properties. Herein, we designed a novel benzodithiophene-based small molecule donor BDTF-CA with deep highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) energy level. All-small-molecule OSCs were fabricated by combing non-fullerene acceptor IDIC with different fluorine-atom numbers. Two or four fluorine atoms were introduced to the end-capped acceptor of IDIC, which are named as IDIC-2 F and IDIC-4 F, respectively. With the increase of fluorination from IDIC to IDIC-4 F, the open circuit voltage(Voc) of the devices decreased, while hole and electron mobilities of the active layers increased by one order of magnitude. 19Prostate-specific membrane antigen expression in hepatocellular carcinoma,cholangiocarcinoma,and liver cirrhosis显示文摘BACKGROUND Primary liver cancer includes three subtypes:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(CCA),and combined hepatocellular carcinoma.Patients with primary liver cancer experienced poor prognosis and high mortality,so early detection of liver cancer and improved management of metastases are both key strategies to reduce the death toll from liver cancer.Prostate-specific membrane antigen(PSMA)expression in the tumor-associated neovasculature of nonprostate malignancies including liver cancer has been reported recently,but conclusive evidence of PSMA expression based on the pathological type of liver cancer remains limited.AIM To study the expression of PSMA in HCC,CCA,and liver cirrhosis.METHODS A total of 446 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded(FFPE)liver tumor and liver cirrhosis tissue samples were obtained retrospectively from the Pathology Department of Tongji Hospital.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect PSMA expression in these 446 FFPE liver biopsy specimens(213 HCC,203 CCA,and 30 liver cirrhosis).The tumor compartment and the associated neovascular endothelium were separately analyzed.PSMA expression was examined by two certified pathologists,and the final results were presented in a 4-point scoring system(0-3 points).Correlation between PSMA expression and clinicopathological information was also assessed.RESULTS PSMA was expressed primarily in the neovascular endothelium associated with tumors.The positive rate of PSMA staining in HCC was significantly higher than that in CCA(86.8%vs 79.3%;P=0.001)but was only 6.6%in liver cirrhosis(P=0.000).HCC cases had more 3-score PSMA staining than CCA had(89/213,41.8%vs 35/203,17.2%;P=0.001).PSMA expression correlated positively with the stage and grade of HCC and CCA.In both liver cancer subtypes,there were more PSMA+cases in stages III–V diseases than in stages I and II.High staining intensity of PSMA was more frequently observed in liver cancers at high grade and advanced stage.There was no significant association of PSMA expression with sex,age,region,α-fetoprotein,hepatitis B surface antigen,or tumor size in both tumor subtypes.CONCLUSION Neovascular PSMA may be a promising marker to differentiate HCC from liver cirrhosis and a prognostic marker for anti-tumor angiogenesis therapy for HCC.Li-Xing Chen Si-Juan Zou Dan Li Jian-Yuan Zhou Zhao-Ting Cheng Jun Zhao Yuan-Li Zhu Dong Kuang Xiao-Hua Zhu 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,48:3
20Urban-rural disparities in mild cognitive impairment and its functional subtypes among community- dwelling older residents in central China显示文摘background Substantial variations in the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and its subtypes have been reported,although mostly in geographically defined developed countries and regions.Less is known about MCI and its subtypes in rural areas of less developed central China.Aims The study aimed to compare the prevalence of MCI and its subtypes in residents aged 65 years or older in urban and rural areas of Hubei Province,China.Methods Participants aged 65 years or older were recruited between 2018 and 2019.Inperson structured interviews and clinical and neuropsychological assessments were performed at city health community centres and township hospitals.results Among 2644 participants without dementia,735 had MCI,resulting in a prevalence of 27.8%for total MCI,20.9%for amnestic MCI(aMCI)and 6.9%for non-amnestic MCI(naMCI).The prevalence of MCI in urban and rural areas was 20.2%and 44.1%,respectively.After adjusting for demographic factors,the prevalence of total MCI,aMCI and naMCI differed significantly between rural and urban areas(adjusted odds ratio(OR)2.10,1.44 and 3.76,respectively).Subgroup analysis revealed an association between rural socioeconomic and lifestyle disadvantage and MCI and its subtypes.Conclusions Our findings suggest that the prevalence of MCI among urban residents in central China is consistent with that in other metropolis areas,such as Shanghai,but the prevalence in rural areas is twice that in urban areas.Prospective studies and dementia prevention in China should focus on rural areas.Dan Liu Lin Li Lina An Guirong Cheng Cong Chen Mingjun Zou Bo Zhang Xuguang Gan Lang Xu Yangming Ou Qingming Wu Ru Wang Yan Zeng 2021General Psychiatry2021,34,5:3
