| 2 | Anisotropic coding metamaterials and their powerful manipulation of differently polarized terahertz waves显示文摘Metamaterials based on effective media can be used to produce a number of unusual physical properties(for example,negative refraction and invisibility cloaking)because they can be tailored with effective medium parameters that do not occur in nature.Recently,the use of coding metamaterials has been suggested for the control of electromagnetic waves through the design of coding sequences using digital elements‘0’and‘1,'which possess opposite phase responses.Here we propose the concept of an anisotropic coding metamaterial in which the coding behaviors in different directions are dependent on the polarization status of the electromagnetic waves.We experimentally demonstrate an ultrathin and flexible polarization-controlled anisotropic coding metasurface that functions in the terahertz regime using specially designed coding elements.By encoding the elements with elaborately designed coding sequences(both 1-bit and 2-bit sequences),the x-and y-polarized waves can be anomalously reflected or independently diffused in three dimensions.The simulated far-field scattering patterns and near-field distributions are presented to illustrate the dual-functional performance of the encoded metasurface,and the results are consistent with the measured results.We further demonstrate the ability of the anisotropic coding metasurfaces to generate a beam splitter and realize simultaneous anomalous reflections and polarization conversions,thus providing powerful control of differently polarized electromagnetic waves.The proposed method enables versatile beam behaviors under orthogonal polarizations using a single metasurface and has the potential for use in the development of interesting terahertz devices. | Shuo Liu Tie Jun Cui Quan Xu Di Bao Liangliang Du Xiang Wan Wen Xuan Tang Chunmei Ouyang Xiao Yang Zhou Hao Yuan Hui Feng Ma Wei Xiang Jiang Jiaguang Han Weili Zhang Qiang Cheng | 2016 | Light(Science & Applications)2016，5，1： | 36 |
| 3 | Sleep and Cognitive Abnormalities in Acute Minor Thalamic Infarction显示文摘In order to characterize sleep and the cognitive patterns in patients with acute minor thalamic infarction(AMTI), we enrolled 27 patients with AMTI and 12 matched healthy individuals. Questionnaires about sleep and cognition as well as polysomnography(PSG) were performed on days 14 and 90 post-stroke. Compared to healthy controls, in patients with AMTI, hyposomnia was more prevalent; sleep architecture was disrupted as indicated by decreased sleep efficiency, increased sleep latency, and decreased non-rapid eye movement sleep stages 2 and 3;more sleep-related breathing disorders occurred; and cognitive functions were worse, especially memory. While sleep apnea and long-delay memory recovered to a large extent in the patients, other sleep and cognitive function deficit often persisted. Patients with AMTI are at an increased risk for hyposomnia, sleep structure disturbance,sleep apnea, and memory deficits. Current invasive gastritis diagnostic methods are not suitable for monitoring progressIn this work based on 78 gastritis patients and 50 healthy individuals, we observed that the variation of tongue-coating microbiota was associated with the occurrenee and development of gastritis. Twenty-one microbial species were identified for differentiating tongue-coating microbiomes of gastritis and healthy individuals. Pathways such as microbial metabolism in diverse environments, biosynthesis of antibiotics and bacterial chemotaxis were up-regulated in gastritis patients. The abundance of Campylobacter concisus was found associated with the gastric precancerous cascade. Furthermore, Campylobacter concisus could be detected in tongue coating and gastric fluid in a validation cohort containing 38 gastritis patients. | 10 | Anus-preserving rectectomy via telescopic colorectal mucosal anastomosis for low rectal cancer: Experience from a Chinese cohort显示文摘AIM: To investigate the safety and efficacy of anus-preserving rectectomy via telescopic colorectal mucosal anastomosis (TCMA) for low rectal cancer. METHODS: From August 1993 to October 2012, 420 patients including 253 males and 167 females with low rectal cancer underwent transabdominal and transanal anterior resection, followed by TCMA. The distance be-tween the anus and inferior margin of the tumor ranged from 5 to 7 cm, and was 5 cm in 6 patients, 6 cm in 127, and 7 cm in 287 patients. Tumor-node-metastasis staging showed that 136 patients had stage Ⅰ, 252 had stage Ⅱ and 32 had stage Ⅲ. Fifty-six patients with T3 or over received preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradio-therapy. RESULTS: The postoperative follow-up rate was 91.9% (386/420) with a median time of 6.4 years. All 420 pa-tients underwent radical resection. No postoperativedeath occurred. Postoperative complications included anastomotic leakage in 13 (3.1%) patients and anas-tomotic stenosis in 7 (1.6%). The local recurrence rate after surgery was 6.2%, the hepatic metastasis rate was 13.2% and the pulmonary metastasis rate was 2.3%. The 5-year survival rate was 74.0% and the disease-free survival rate was 71.0%. Kirwan classification showed that continence was good in 94.4% of patients with stage I when scored 12 mo after resection. | 11 | Laparoscopic resection of lower rectal cancer with telescopic anastomosis without abdominal incisions显示文摘AIM:To assess laparoscopic radical resection of lower rectal cancer with telescopic anastomosis through transanal resection without abdominal incisions.METHODS:From March 2010 to June 2014, 30 patients(14 men and 16 women, aged 36-78 years, mean age 59.8 years) underwent laparoscopic radical resection of lower rectal cancer with telescopic anastomosis through anus-preserving transanal resection.The tumors were 5-7 cm away from the anal margin in 24 cases, and 4 cm in six cases.In preoperative assessment, there were 21 cases of T1N0M0 and nine of T2N0M0.Through the middle approach, the sigmoid mesentery was freed at the root with an ultrasonic scalpel and the roots of the inferior mesenteric artery and vein were dissected, clamped and cut.Following the total mesorectal excision principle, the rectum was separated until the anorectal ring reached 3-5 cm from the distal end of the tumor.For perineal surgery, a ring incision was made 2 cm above the dentate line, and sharp dissection was performed submucosally towards the superior direction, until the plane of the levator ani muscle, to transect the rectum.The rectum and distal sigmoid colon were removed together from the anus, followed by a telescopic anastomosis between the full thickness of the proximal colon and the mucosa and submucosal tissue of the rectum.RESULTS:For the present cohort of 30 cases,the mean operative time was 178 min,with an average of 13 positive lymph nodes detected.One case of postoperative anastomotic leak was observed,requiring temporary colostomy,which was closed and recovered3 mo later.The postoperative pathology showed T1-T2N0M0 in 19 cases and T2N1M0 in 11 cases.Twelve months after surgery,94.4%patients achieved anal function Kirwan grade 1,indicating that their analfunction returned to normal.The patients were followed up for 1-36 mo,with an average of 23 mo.There was no local recurrence,and 17 patients survived for>3years(with a survival rate of 100%).CONCLUSION:Laparoscopic radical resection of lower rectal cancer with telescopic anastomosis through transanal resection without abdominal incisions is safe and feasible. | Shi-Yong Li Gang Chen Jun-Feng Du Guang Chen Xiao-Jun Wei Wei Cui Fu-Yi Zuo Bo Yu Xing Dong Xi-Qing Ji Qiang Yuan | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，16： | 19 |

| 18 | Comparative pharmacokinetics of six major compounds in normal and insomnia rats after oral administration of Ziziphi Spinosae Semen aqueous extract显示文摘Ziziphi Spinosae Semen(ZSS),a traditional Chinese medicine,is used in clinics for the treatment of insomnia in China and other Asian countries.Herein,we described for the first time a comparative pharmacokinetics study of the six major compounds of ZSS in normal control(NC)and para-chlorophenylalanine(PCPA)-induced insomnia model(IM)rats that were orally administered the aqueous extract of ZSS.An ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole orbitrap mass(UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-MS)method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of coclaurine,magnoflorine,spinosin,6000-feruloylspinosin,jujuboside A(JuA),and jujuboside B(JuB)in ZSS in rat plasma.The established approach was successfully applied to a comparative pharmacokinetic study.The systemic exposures of spinosin and 6000-feruloylspinosin were decreased in the IM group compared to the NC group,while plasma clearance(CL)was significantly increased.The Tmax values of JuA and JuB in IM rats were significantly lower than those in NC rats.The T1/2 of JuA in the IM group was significantly accelerated.The pharmacokinetic parameters of coclaurine and magnoflorine were not evidently affected between the two groups.These results indicate that the pathological state of insomnia altered the plasma pharmacokinetics of spinosin,6000-feruloylspinosin,JuA,and JuB in the ZSS aqueous extract,providing an experimental basis for the role of ZSS in insomnia treatment.The comparative pharmacokinetics-based UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-MS using full-scan mode can therefore provide a reliable and suitable means for the screening of potentially effective substances applied as quality markers of ZSS. | Chenhui Du Yan Yan Chenxi Shen Xiaofang Cui Xiangping Pei Xuemei Qin | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020，10，4： | 14 |

The experimental group was treated with salvianolate for 14 days on the basis of conventional medicine, and the control group was given a placebo for 14 days with the same criteria. Follow-up was lasted 28 days in both groups. The primary endpoint was biweekly frequency of angina pectoris attacks. The secondary endpoints included biweekly dosage of nitroglycerin, the Seattle Angina Questionnaire, angina pectoris severity and duration, myocardial injury markers, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP), as well as major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs). Safety was assessed according to adverse events and serious adverse events. Results: Baseline characteristics were similar between treatment groups. Compared with those in the control group, the frequency of biweekly angi na attacks(2.92 vs. 4.08, P =0.025), th e biweekly dosage of nitroglycerin, as well as the severity and duration of angina attacks(P <0.01) were reduced by salvianolate. The Seattle Angina Questionnaire score was also significantly improved in the experimental group than in the control group(P <0.05). No significant differences were observed between the two groups with respect to the incidence of MACEs. Salvianolate was well tolerated.
