2Preparation and Performance of Salt Tolerance and Thermal Stability Cellulose Nanofibril Hydrogels and Their Application in Drilling Engineering显示文摘The poor salt tolerance,thermal stability,and environmental performance of petrochemicals can severely limit their applications in drilling engineering.In this study,cellulose nanofibril(CNF)hydrogels with improved salt tolerance and thermal stability were prepared,and their filtration performance was evaluated.The hydrogels were prepared through the simultaneous grafting of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid(AMPS)and butyl acrylate(BA)onto the CNF surface through ceric ammoniumnitrate-induced radical polymerization.The modified and original CNF samples were characterized using Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and rheological measurements.The FT-IR analysis results showed that both AMPS and BA were grafted onto the CNF backbone,affirming the successful preparation of the grafted CNFs.The rheological analysis results showed that the modified CNF hydrogels exhibited significantly improved salt tolerance,thermal stability,and“salt-thickening”effect.Moreover,the results of the fluid loss test showed that the modified CNF hydrogels exhibited a much better fluid loss control than the original CNF hydrogels.In addition,after adding 2%modified CNF hydrogels as a filtrate reducer in the drilling fluids prepared with a 6%combined salt solution,the filtrate loss was significantly reduced even after aging for 72 h at 160℃.XiongLi Liu An Wang ChunPing Wang JiaLei Qu YangBing Wen Bin Chen ZhongGuang Wang BinBin Wu ZhaoYang Yuan Bing Wei 2019Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,2:7
3Induction of embryonic stem cells to hematopoietic cells in vitro显示文摘In order to get hematopoietic cells from embryonic stem (ES) cells and to study development mechanisms of hematopoietic cells, the method of inducing embryonic stem cells to hematopoietic cells was explored by differenciating mouse ES cells and human embryonic cells in three stages. The differentiated cells were identified by flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry and Wright’s staining. The results showed that embryoid bodies (EBs) could form when ES cells were cultured in the medium with 2-mercaptoethanol (2-ME). However, cytokines, such as stem cell factor (SCF), thrombopoietin (TPO), interleukin-3 (IL-3), interleukin-6 (IL-6), erythropoietin (EPO) and granular colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), were not helpful for forming EBs. SCF, TPO and embryonic cell conditional medium were useful for the differentiation of mouse EBs to hematopoietic progenitors. Eighty-six percent of these cells were CD34+ after 6-d culture. 4Generation and Analysis of Pathogenicity-related Gene Mutants of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Using a Novel Promoter Trapping System显示文摘Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation(ATMT) is an efficient tool for insertional mutagenesis and is used in a wide variety of plants. This paper reports a promoter trapping method to generate mutants in the filamentous fungus,Colletotrichum gloeosporioides,by ATMT insertion of a trapping vector(pCAHPH) that carries a promoterless hygromycin phosphotransferase(hph) gene. Transformants were selected on the media containing 200 μg/mL hygromycin B,and screened for pathogenicity-related gene mutants. Their pathogenicity-related mutants T-DNA flanking sequences were then cloned and analyzed. Hph genes were amplified from mutant genomic DNA but not from wild-type DNA,indicating that the phenotypic alternations of these mutants were the results of T-DNA insertion. T-DNA flanking sequences were obtained using modified thermal asymmetric interlaced PCR. 7Efficient degradation of tetracycline by singlet oxygen-dominated peroxymonosulfate activation with magnetic nitrogen-doped porous carbon显示文摘Nonradical reaction driven by peroxymonosulfate(PMS)based advanced oxidation pro-cesses has drawn widespread attention in water treatment due to their inherent advantages,but the degradation behavior and mechanism of organic pollutants are still unclear.In this study,the performance,intermediates,mechanism and toxicity of tetracycline(TC)degra-dation were thoroughly examined in the constructed magnetic nitrogen-doped porous car-bon/peroxymonosulfate(Co-N/C-PMS)system.The results showed that 85.4%of TC could be removed within 15 min when Co-N/C and PMS was simultaneously added and the degra-dation rate was enhanced by 3.4 and 14.7 folds compared with Co-N/C or PMS alone,re-spectively.Moreover,the performance of Co-N/C was superior to that of most previously reported catalysts.Many lines of evidence indicated that Co-N/C-PMS system was a singlet oxygen-dominated nonradical reaction,which was less interfered by pH and water compo-nents,and displayed high adaptability to actual water bodies.Subsequently,the degrada-tion process was elaborated on the basis of three-dimensional excitation-emission matrix spectra and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.At last,the toxicity of treated TC was greatly reduced by using microalgae Coelastrella sp.as ecological indicator.This study provides a promising approach based on singlet oxygen-dominated nonradical reaction for eliminating TC in water treatment.Shaohua Wu Chunping Yang Yan Lin Jay J.Cheng 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:2

18Effect of Yishen Qiqiao Fang on dopamine content in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients in persistent vegetative statec显示文摘BACKGROUND: It has been demonstrated that the attack of persistent vegetative state is associated with the damaged neuron, which produces dopamine, and nervous pathway, the reduce of dopamine or malfunction of dopamine. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of self-made traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Yishen Qiqiao Fang, which has the functions of supplementing qi and nourishing blood, resolving phlegm by promoting blood circulation, restoring consciousness and inducing resuscitation, on the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of patients in persistent vegetative state. DESIGN: An open randomized controlled clinical trial. SETTINGS: Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing Zijin Hospital. PARTICIPANTS: Thirty-eight inpatients of persistent vegetative state were selected from the Department of Neurology, Nanjing Zijin Hospital from August 2005 to November 2006. The patients were diagnosed according to the diagnostic standards set by the summary of a meeting for specialists in Nanjing. Informed contents were obtained from their relatives. According to the order of admission, the enrolled patients were divided into control group (n =20) and TCM treated group (n =20). METHODS: In the control group, the patients were treated with routine treatments for the symptoms. In the TCM treated group, the patients were treated with Yishen Qiqiao Fang besides the same treatments in the control group. TCM dispensing granules: each bag of mongolian milkvetch root, Chinese angelica and peach seed equaled to 10 g crude drug respectively; each bag of grassleaf sweetflag rhizome and dahurian angelica root equaled to 6 g crude drug respectively; Musk 0.05 g. The daily dosage for adults: 4 bags of mongolian milkvetch root, 2 bags of Chinese angelica, 0.05 g musk, 1 bag of peach seed, 2 bags of grassleaf sweetflag rhizome and 2 bags of dahurian angelica root, which should be given though nasal feeding or gastrostogavage before breakfast and supper every day, the course lasted for 2 months. The contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid were determined with enzyme immunoassay analyzer before and after treatment in both groups. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid before and after treatment in both groups. RESULTS: Totally 38 patients of persistent vegetative state were enrolled, 33 of them were involved in the final analysis of results, and the other 5 missed. The contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid had no obvious differences between the two groups both before and after treatment (P > 0.05). In the control group, the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid had no obvious differences before and after treatment (P > 0.05). In the TCM treated group, the contents of dopamine in serum and cerebrospinal fluid after treatment were obviously higher than those before treatment (t =2.174, 2.485, P < 0.05).
