2Viscosity and aggregation structure of nanocolloidal dispersions显示文摘In this work,the effects of nanoparticle size,particle volume fraction and pH on the viscosity of silicon dioxide nanocolloidal dispersions are investigated.Both size and pH are found to significantly affect nanocolloid viscosity.Two models are used to study the effect of aggregate structure on the viscosity of the nanocolloidal dispersion.The fractal concept is introduced to describe the irregular and dynamic aggregate structure.The structure of aggregates,which is considered to play an important role in viscosity,is affected by both intermolecular and electrostatic forces.The particle interaction is primarily affected by particle distance and becomes stronger with decreasing particle size and increasing volume fraction.The aggregate structure is also affected by the pH of the solution.Studying the relationship between pH and zeta-potential shows that with the neutralization of charges on the particle surface and decreasing electrical repulsion force,the particle interaction becomes dominated by attractive forces and the aggregates form a more compact structure.WANG Tao NI MingJiang LUO ZhongYang SHOU ChunHui CEN KeFa 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,27:4
3Association oftransforming growth factor-β1 gene variants with risk of coal workers'pneumoconiosis显示文摘Objective:The aim of this case-control study was to explore whether five tagging single nucleotide polymorphisms(tSNPs)within the transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)gene were involved in manifestation of inflammatory and fibrotic processes associated with coal workers'pneumoconiosis(CWP).Methods:The study included 508 CWP patients and 526 controls who were underground coal miners from Xuzhou Mining Business Group.Five tSNPs were selected from the HapMap and detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)method.Results:The single SNP analysis showed that the genotype frequencies of SNP2(rs1800470,+869T/C,extron 1)and SNP5(rs11466345,intron 5)in CWP cases were sig- nificantly different from those in controls.Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that SNP2(rs1800470) CC genotype was associated with decreased risk of CWP(OR=0.50,95%CI=0.32-0.78),which was evident among subgroups of those never smoke(OR=0.40,95%CI=0.24-0.66),cases with stageⅡ(OR=0.41,95%CI =0.22-0.76)and exposure period(<28 y:OR=0.54,95%CI=0.31-0.95;≥28 y:OR=0.52,95%CI=0.32-0.96). However,the SNP5(rs11466345)GG genotype was associated with an increased risk of CWP(OR=2.5,95%CI =1.36-4.57),and further stratification analysis showed that the risk of CWP was increased in both smoking and nonsmoking groups,shorter and longer exposure groups,while the risk of CWP was only increased in patients with stageⅠandⅡ.Conclusion:This study suggests that TGF-β1 polymorphisms may contribute to susceptibility of CWP.Haiyang Qian Zhifang Song Meilin Wang Xiaomin Jia Aiping Li Ye Yang Lianlian Shen Shasha Wang Chunhui Ni Jianwei Zhou 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,4:3

5circPVT1 promotes silica-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition by modulating the miR-497-5p/TCF3 axis显示文摘Epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)is a vital pathological feature of silica-induced pulmonary fibrosis.However,whether circRNA is involved in the process remains unclear.The present study aimed to investigate the role of circPVT1 in the silica-induced EMT and the underlying mechanisms.We found that an elevated expression of circPVT1 promoted EMT and enhanced the migratory capacity of silica-treated epithelial cells.The isolation of cytoplasmic and nuclear separation assay showed that circPVT1 was predominantly expressed in the cytoplasm.RNA immunoprecipitation assay and RNA pull-down experiment indicated that cytoplasmic-localized circPVT1 was capable of binding to miR-497-5p.Furthermore,we found that miR-497-5p attenuated the silica-induced EMT process by targeting transcription factor 3(TCF3),an E-cadherin transcriptional repressor,in the silica-treated epithelial cells.Collectively,these results reveal a novel role of the circPVT1/miR-497-5p/TCF3 axis in the silica-induced EMT process in lung epithelial cells.Once validated,this finding may provide a potential theoretical basis for the development of interventions and treatments for pulmonary fibrosis.Siyun Zhou Yan Li Wenqing Sun Dongyu Ma Yi Liu Demin Cheng Guanru Li Chunhui Ni 2024The Journal of Biomedical Research2024,38,2:0
6Oxidative cyclopalladation triggers the hydroalkylation of alkynes显示文摘This report describes the oxidative cyclopalladation activation of a C≡C bond during the Pd-catalyzed hydroalkylation of alkynes and analyzes potential reaction pathways based on density functional theory calculations. The more favorable pathway in-volves an oxidative cyclopalladation to generate a palladacyclopropene intermediate, which is rarely examined in Pd-catalyzed alkyne transformations. The reaction pathway proposed herein is kinetically favorable relative to the commonly proposed alkyne insertion mode. Furthermore, the Laplacians of the electron density, interaction region indicators, Mayer bond orders, and localized orbital bonding are evaluated to determine the reaction processes and characterize the key intermediates. Theoretical calculations indicate covalent bonding between a Pd(II) center and the two C-atoms in three-membered palladacycle species.
