2L-3-n-butylphthalide protects against vascular dementia via activation of the Akt kinase pathway显示文摘As a neuroprotective drug for the treatment of ischemic stroke, 3-n-butylphthalide, a celery seed extract, has been approved by the State Food and Drug Administration of China as a clinical therapeutic drug for ischemic stroke patients. L-3-n-butylphthalide possesses significant efficacy in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. The activated Akt kinase pathway can prevent the death of nerve cells and exhibit neuroprotective effects in the brain after stroke. This study provides the hypothesis that l-3-n-butylphthalide has a certain therapeutic effect on vascular dementia, and its mechanism depends on the activation of the Akt kinase pathway. A vascular dementia mouse model was established by cerebral repetitive ischemia/reperfusion, and intragastrically administered l-3-n-butylphthalide daily for 28 consecutive days after ischemia/reperfusion, or 7 consecutive days before ischemia/reperfusion. The Morris water maze test showed significant impairment of spatial learning and memory at 4 weeks after operation, but intragastric administration of l-3-n-butylphthalide, especially pretreatment with l-3-n-butylphthalide, significantly reversed these changes. Thionine staining and western blot analylsis showed that preventive and therapeutic application of l-3-n-butylphthalide can reduce loss of pyramidal neurons in the hippocampal CA1 region and alleviate nerve damage in mice with vascular demen-tia. In addition, phosphorylated Akt expression in hippocampal tissue increased significantly after l-3-n-butylphthalide treatment. 4Potential applications of porous organic polymers as adsorbent for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)with high toxicity and carcinogenicity are emitted from kinds of industries,which endanger human health and the environment.Adsorption is a promising method for the treatment of VOCs due to its low cost and high efficiency.In recent years,activated carbons,zeolites,and mesoporous materials are widely used to remove VOCs because of their high specific surface area and abundant porosity.However,the hydrophilic nature and low desorption rate of those materials limit their commercial application.Furthermore,the adsorption capacities of VOCs still need to be improved.Porous organic polymers(POPs)with extremely high porosity,structural diversity,and hydrophobic have been considered as one of the most promising candidates for VOCs adsorption.This review generalized the superiority of POPs for VOCs adsorption compared to other porous materials and summarized the studies of VOCs adsorption on different types of POPs.Moreover,the mechanism of competitive adsorption between water and VOCs on the POPs was discussed.Finally,a concise outlook for utilizing POPs for VOCs adsorption was discussed,noting areas in which further work is needed to develop the next-generation POPs for practical applications.Shuangchun Lu Qingling Liu Rui Han Miao Guo Jiaqi Shi Chunfeng Song Na Ji Xuebin Lu Degang Ma 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7:4
5Research on critical technology of micro/nano bioparticles manipulation platform based on light-induced dielectrophoresis显示文摘On the basis of the research on the status and problems of micro/nano bio-particles manipulation using dielectrophoresis, the theoretical basis and the model simulation of micro/nano bio-particles manipu-lation using light-induced dielectrophoresis were discussed. The space distribution of electric field and dielectrophoresis forces in different heights were also obtained. On this basis, the core component of the micro manipulation system, that is, photoconductive layer of the chip, was completed in the mate-rial selection, fabricating process and performance analysis testing. Then the voltage drop of the sus-pension and the effective voltage frequency spectrum were obtained. Finally, by combining the machine vision detection with real-time tracking system, the micro/nano bio-particles manipulation platform based on the light-induced dielectrophoreisis was established, and then the manipulations for micro/nano bio-particles, such as quick collection, transport, separation, were implemented. 7Changes of auditory evoked magnetic fields in patients after acute cerebral infarction using magnetoencephalography显示文摘Auditory evoked magnetic fields were recorded from 15 patients with acute cerebral infarction and 11 healthy volunteers using magnetoencephalography.The auditory stimuli of 2 kHz pure tone were binaurally presented with an interstimulus interval of 1 second.The intensity of stimuli was 90 dB and the stimulus duration was 8 ms.The results showed that the M100 was the prominent response, peaking approximately 100 ms after stimulus onset in all subjects.It originated from the area close to Heschl's gyrus.In the patient group,the peak latency of M100 responses was significantly prolonged,and the mean strength of equivalent current dipole was significantly smaller in the affected hemisphere.The three-dimensional inter-hemispheric difference of the M100 positions was increased in the patient group.Our experimental findings suggested that impairment of cerebral function in patients with acute ischemic stroke can be detected using magnetoencephalography with the higher spatial resolution and temporal resolution.Magnetoencephalography could provide objective and sensitive indices to estimate auditory cortex function in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Zhanyong Sun Chunfeng Song Jilin Sun Ling Li Yanhong Dong Jianhua Wang Jie Wu Wenzhu Cui Yujin Wu Peiyuan Lv 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,24:1

10Synthesis and fluorescence properties of CdSe/CdS nanoparticles in aqueous media显示文摘On the basis of unique structural characteristics of α-cyclodextrin,α-cyclodextrin modified CdSe/CdS nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized in aqueous media.Techniques of AFM,TEM,EDS,FTIR,UV-vis absorbance and photoluminescence spectra were used to characterize the morphology,composition and optical characteristics of the synthesized nanoparticles.The results showed that the as-synthesized nanoparticles were elliptical and composed of several small particles.Their average length and diameter were about 20 nm and 15 nm.CdSe/CdS nanoparticles had single well-crystallized hexagonal structure.Packaged with a shell of CdS on the surface,α-CD/CdSe-CdS nanoparticles exhibited a red shift in the absorption spectrum,intensity growth in the emission spectrum and a substantial increase in Quantum yields.The size distribution could be adjusted by precursor ratios in the presence of α-cyclodextrins.Han, DongMei Song, ChunFeng Guo, GuangSheng Li, XiaoYu 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,5:1

12Accumulation, transportation, and distribution of tetracycline and cadmium in rice显示文摘Co-exposure to heavy metal and antibiotic pollution might result in complexation and synergistic interactions,affecting rice growth and further exacerbating pollutant enrichment.Therefore,our study sought to clarify the influence of different Tetracycline (TC) and Cadmium(Cd) concentration ratios (both alone and combined) on rice growth,pollutant accumulation,and transportation during the tillering stage in hydroponic system.Surprisingly,our findings indicated that the interaction between TC and Cd could alleviate the toxic effects of TC/Cd on aerial rice structures and decrease pollutant burdens during root elongation.In contrast,TC and Cd synergistically promoted the accumulation of TC/Cd in rice roots.However,their interaction increased the accumulation of TC in roots while decreasing the accumulation of Cd when the toxicant doses increased.The strong affinity of rice to Cd promoted its upward transport from the roots,whereas the toxic effects of TC reduced TC transport.Therefore,the combined toxicity of the two pollutants inhibited their upward transport.Additionally,a low concentration of TC promoted the accumulation of Cd in rice mainly in the root tip.Furthermore,a certain dose of TC promoted the upward migration of Cd from the root tip.Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry demonstrated that Cd mainly accumulated in the epidermis and stele of the root,whereas Fe mainly accumulated in the epidermis,which inhibited the absorption and accumulation of Cd by the rice roots through the generation of a Fe plaque.Our findings thus provide insights into the effects of TC and Cd co-exposure on rice growth.Chunfeng He Jini Zhou Chen Yang Zhiyi Song Junheng He Ziqing Huang Yurong Deng Jinling Wang Yu Xiong Zhi Dang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:1

17Toward few-shot domain adaptation with perturbation-invariant representation and transferable prototypes显示文摘Domain adaptation(DA)for semantic segmentation aims to reduce the annotation burden for the dense pixellevel prediction task.It focuses on tackling the domain gap problem and manages to transfer knowledge learned from abundant source data to new target scenes.Although recent works have achieved rapid progress in this field,they still underperform fully supervised models with a large margin due to the absence of any available hints in the target domain.Considering that few-shot labels are cheap to obtain in practical applications,wc attempt to leverage them to mitigate the performance gap between DA and fully supervised methods.The key to this problem is to leverage the few-shot labels to learn robust domain-invariant predictions effectively.To this end,we first design a data perturbation strategy to enhance the robustness of the representations.Furthermore,a transferable prototype module is proposed to bridge the domain gap based on the source data and few-shot targets.By means of these proposed methods,our approach can perform on par with the fully supervised models to some extent.We conduct extensive experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and report the state-of-the-art performance on two popular DA tasks,i.e.,from GTA5 to Cityscapes and SYNTHIA to Cityscapes.Junsong FAN Yuxi WANG He GUAN Chunfeng SONG Zhaoxiang ZHANG 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,3:0

19MgFe hydrotalcites-derived layered structure iron molybdenum sulfide catalysts for eugenol hydrodeoxygenation to produce phenolic chemicals显示文摘Hydrodeoxygenation(HDO) is an effective alternative to produce value-added chemicals and liquid fuels by removing oxygen from lignin-derived compounds. Sulfide catalysts have been proved to have good activity for the HDO and particularly high selectivity to phenolic products. Herein, we presented a novel way to prepare the layered structure sulfide catalysts(MgFeMo-S) derived from MgFe hydrotalcites via the intercalation of Mo in consideration of the memory effect of the calcined hydrotalcite. By varying the Mg/Fe mole ratio, a series of MgFeMo-S catalysts were successfully prepared and characterized by nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms, X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES). The characterization results indicated that the MgFeMo-S catalyst has retained the unique layered structure, which can facilitate uniform dispersion of the MoS_2 species on both the surface and interlayer of the catalysts. For the HDO of eugenol, the Mg_1Fe_2Mo-S catalysts exhibited the best HDO activity among all the catalysts due to its higher active metal contents and larger pore size. The HDO conversion was 99.6% and the yield of phenolics was 63.7%, under 5 MPa initial H_2 pressure(measured at RT) at 300 ℃ for 3 h. More importantly,MoS_2 species deposited on the interlayer galleries in the MgFeMo-S catalysts resulted in dramatically superior HDO activity to MoS_2/Mg_1Fe_2-S catalyst. Based on the mechanism investigation for eugenol, the HDO reaction route of eugenol under sulfide catalytic system has been proposed for the first time.
