| 1 | Recyclable adsorbent of BiFeO_3/Carbon for purifying industrial dye wastewater via photocatalytic reproducible显示文摘It is essential to prepare highly-efficiency reproducible adsorbent for purifying industrial dye wastewater. In this work, biscuit with a layered porous structure as a template is applied to prepare a photocatalytic recyclable adsorbent of BiFeO3/Carbon nanocomposites for purifying simulative industrial dye wastewater. It is found that the structure of the prepared BiFeO3/Carbon nanocomposite is related to the natural structure of the biscuit, annealing temperatures and immersing times, demonstrated by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis and adsorptive activities. Kinetics data shows that the adsorption rate of the adsorbent to the dye is rapid and fitted well with the pseudo-second-order model, that more than 80% of dyes can be removed in the beginning 30 min. The adsorption isotherm can be perfectly described by the Langmuir model as well. It can be seen from the adsorption data that the adsorption performance can reach over 90% at pH ? 2–12, which can imply its universal utilization. The prepared BiFeO_3/Carbon nanocomposites have also displayed excellent capacities(over 90% within 30 min) for adsorption of seven different dyes and their mixed one. According to the five times photocatalytic reproducible experiments, it is proved that BiFeO_3/Carbon nanocomposites show the excellent stability and reproduction for purifying simulative industrial dyes, even the sample have been placed for one year. | 2 | Effect of Co-polyester antistatic agent modified by carbon nanotubes on the properties of polypropylene fibers显示文摘Antistatic polymer fibers were investigated by using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to enhance the antistatic ability of inner antistatic agents based on the mechanism of attracting moisture by polar radical groups. It is indicated that the antistatic ability of the fibers filled with composite antistatic agents that contain CNTs and organic antistatic agents was superior to that of the fibers filled either with pure organic antistatic agents or pure CNTs. The antistatic ability of the composite antistatic agent fabricated by an in situ process was superior to that of the composite antistatic agent fabricated by direct dispersing CNTs in the antistatic agent carrier. Moreover, the heat-treated CNTs could further enhance the antistatic effect compared with the initial CNTs. | 3 | Photocatalytic degradating methyl orange in water phase by UV-irradiated CdS carried by carbon nanotubes显示文摘A new candidate for photocatalytic degradating organic dyes,CdS carried by car-bon nanotubes(CdS/CNTs) ,is reported. The degradation ratio curves of methyl orange in water phase show that the capability for degradating organic molecules of CdS/CNTs is obviously higher than that of separated CdS. The degradation ca-pability enhances as the increase of the amount of net CdS catalyst,the ratio of carbon nanotubes to CdS,and the area of the template,and is influenced by the pH value and the temperature of aqueous solution. The reverse micelles prevented the aggregation of primary particles and reduced the diameters of zirconia nano-particles. Superfine zirconia powders soft-aggregated by the zirconia nano-particles were obtained. | 8 | Decorating multiwalled carbon nanotubes with zinc oxide nano-crystallines through hydrothermal growth process显示文摘Multiwalled-carbon nanotubes coated with nano-crystalline zinc oxide (ZnO) was prepared by in situ growth of nano zinc oxide on the surfaces of carbon nanotubes through hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy analysis techniques were used to characterize the samples. It was observed that a layer of nano-crystalline ZnO with the wurtzite hexagonal crystal structure was uniformly coated on the nanotube surfaces with good adhesion, which resulted in the formation of a novel ZnO-nanotube nano composite. | 10 | Effect of particle size on phase structure of ZrO_2 produced by hydrolysis of ZrOCl_2 solution显示文摘A method to produce ZrO2 nano-particles is developed and the effect of particle size on the phase structure of ZrO2 is studied. The method is based on the hydrolysis of ZrOCl2 solution in the reverse micelles of a liquid-liquid two-phase system, in which AOT (sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfosuccinite) and toluene are chosen as the surfactant and organic phase, respectively. The reverse micelles prevent the aggregation of primary particles, the nano-particle size increases as the AOT content decreases. The TEM,XRD and particle-size analysis results show that the occurrence of metastable tetragonal ZrO2 is attributed to the effect of the particle size other than the effect of the crystallite size. It indicated that electrochemical oxidation elevated the available surface area of the electrodes and introduced some kinds of functional group on the CNT surfaces. The specific capacitances of the polarizable electrodes with organic electrolyte could be enhanced from 22.4 F g-1 to 78.2 F g-1 after electrolysis oxidization. The enhancement of the specific capacitance depends on the extent of electrochemical oxidation.
