5Slow Positron Annihilation in Silicide Films Formed by Solid State Interaction of Co/Ti/Si and Co/Si显示文摘Slow positron beam was used to investigate the solid state reaction of Co/Si and Co/Ti/Si.Variable-energy(0-20 keV)positrons were implanted into samples at different depths.The Doppler broadening of the annihilation γ-ray energy spectra measured at a number of different incident positron energies is characterized by a line-shape parameter,S.It was found that the measured S parameters are sensitive to thin film reaction and crystalline characteristics.In particular,the S parameter of epitavial CoSi_(2)formed by the ternary reaction is quite different from that of the polycrystalline CoSi_(2)formed by direct reaction of Co with Si.LIU Ping LIN Chenglu ZHOU Zuyao ZOU Shichang WENG Huiming HAN Rongdian LI Bingzong 1994Chinese Physics Letters1994,11,4:0

7Two distinct roles of Al_(2)Sm and Al_(11)Sm_(3) phases on the corrosion behavior of the magnesium alloy Mg-5Sm-xAl显示文摘The roles of Al11Sm3 and Al_(2)Sm phases on microstructure evolution,mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of the Mg-5Sm-x Al system was investigated.The results showed that adding Al to Mg–5Sm binary alloy brought two Al–Sm phases,Al11Sm3 and Al_(2)Sm,which had two distinct roles regarding the microstructure evolution,mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of the Mg-Sm-Al alloy.Al11Sm3 produced a strong galvanic couple with the Mg matrix,and significantly accelerated the corrosion.The Al_(2)Sm particles promoted heterogeneous nucleation and refined the grains,which increased the tensile strength and ductility.Both types of Al–Sm particles provided strengthening effect for the alloy.With higher Al contents,Al2Sm formed an Al oxide protective surface layer and increased corrosion resistance.Xingrui Chen Qi Zou Qichi Le Shaochen Ning Chenglu Hu Xiaoqiang Li Anrej Atrens 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,4:0
8Fatigue Life Prediction of Gray Cast Iron for Cylinder Head Based on Microstructure and Machine Learning显示文摘Conventional fatigue tests on complex components are difficult to sample,time-consuming and expensive.To avoid such problems,several popular machine learning(ML)algorithms were used and compared to predict fatigue life of gray cast iron(GCI)with the complex microstructures.The feature analysis shows that the fatigue life of GCI is mainly influenced by the external environment such as the stress amplitude,and the internal microstructure parameters such as the percentage of graphite,graphite length,stress concentration factor at the graphite tip,matrix microhardness and Brinell hardness.For simplicity,collected datasets with some of the above features were used to train ML models including back-propagation neural network(BPNN),random forest(RF)and eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost).The comparison results suggest that the three models could predict the fatigue lives of GCI,while the implemented RF algorithm is the best performing model.Moreover,the S–N curves fitted by the Basquin relation in the predicted data have a mean relative error of 15%compared to the measured data.The results have demonstrated the advantages of ML,which provides a generic way to predict the fatigue life of GCI for reducing time and cost.Xiaoyuan Teng Jianchao Pang Feng Liu Chenglu Zou Xin Bai Shouxin Li Zhefeng Zhang 2023Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2023,36,9:0
