| 1 | Analysis and Numerical Simulation of Rolling Contact between Sphere and Cone显示文摘In non-conforming rolling contact, the contact stress is highly concentrated in the contact area. However, there are some limitations of the special contact model and stress model used for the theoretical study of the phenomenon, and this has prevented in-depth analysis of the associated friction, wear, and failure. This paper is particularly aimed at investigating the area of rolling contact between a sphere and a cone, for which purpose the boundary is determined by the Hertz theory and the geometries of the non-conforming surfaces. The phenomenon of stick-slip contact is observed to occur in the contact area under the condition of no-full-slip(Q < μ·P). Using the two-dimensional rolling contact theory developed by CARTER, the relative positions of the stick and slip regions and the distribution of the tangential force over the contact area are analyzed. Furthermore, each stress component is calculated based on the Mc Ewen theory and the idea of narrow band. The stress equations for the three-dimensional rolling contact between the sphere and the cone are obtained by the principle of superposition, and are used to perform some numerical simulations. The results show that the stress components have a large gradient along the boundary between the stick and slip regions, and that the maximum stress is inversely proportional to the contact coefficient and proportional to the friction coefficient. | 4 | Enhanced Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B by Cu_2O Coated Silicon Nanowire Arrays in Presence of H_2O_2显示文摘Highly ordered Cu2 O coated silicon nanowire arrays(Si NWAs) were fabricated as photocatalyst via depositing Cu nanoparticles on silver-assisted electroless-etched Si NWAs and subsequently annealing. The as-prepared samples have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and UV e VIS e NIR spectrophotometry. The photocatalytic properties of the Cu2 O coated Si NWAs were investigated by degradation of Rhodamine B(Rh B) under simulated solar light with a cut-off filter(l > 420 nm). The results indicated that H2O2 could greatly improve the photocatalytic properties of Cu2 O coated Si NWAs, and exhibited strong synergy effect between them. | 6 | Hot deformation behavior and flow stress modeling of annealed AZ61 Mg alloys显示文摘In this study, the hyperbolic-sine type constitutive equation was used to model the flow stress of annealed AZ61 magnesium(Mg) alloys. Hot compression tests were conducted at the temperatures ranging from 250 1C to 450 1C and at the strain rates ranging from 1 10–3s 1to 1 s 1on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-simulation machine. Constitutive equations as a function of strain were established through a simple extension of the hyperbolic sine constitutive relation. The effects of annealing heat treatments on the variations in constitutive parameters with strain were discussed. The hot compressive flow curves exhibited typical features of dynamic recrystallization. Multiple peak flow curves were observed in the annealed specimens upon testing at a strain rate of 1 10 1s–1and at various temperatures. Variations in constitutive parameters with strain were related to flow behavior and dependent on the initial conditions of the test specimens. | 7 | Forensic investigation of 23 autosomal STRs and application in Han and Mongolia ethnic groups显示文摘A forensic validation study of the Early Access HuaxiaTM Platinum Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) kit was completed to document the performance capabilities and limitations.The genotyping of DNA samples was consistent across a large range of template DNA concentrations,with complete profiles obtained at 0.125 ng;however,no more than 2 mm× 1.2 mm punches of samples would be recommended for direct amplification.The size precision and accuracy test revealed the genotyping ability;while consistent results were obtained when comparing the kit with other commercially available systems.In addition,the whole PCR amplification can finish within approximately 45 min,making the system suitable for fastdetection.However,only partial profiles may be obtained with challenging samples,including DNA stored on Foam-Tipped Applicators (FTA) cards or some case samples.For the forensic application in ethnic groups,a total of 282 and 229 alleles were obtained in Han and Mongolia,respectively.Since the 23 short tandem repeats were independent from each other,the cumulative power of exclusion in duos was 0.999999157188 and the cumulative power of exclusion in trios was 0.999999999859 in the Han group while the cumulative power of exclusion in duos (CPEduo) was 0.999 998 848 26 and cumulative power of exclusion in trios (CPEtrio) was 0.999 999 999 79 in the Mongolia group.And good internal consistency was found between the two investigated groups and the Sichuan Han,Hui,Tibetan and Uygur according to available reference data. | Xiang Sheng Yali Wang Jiashuo Zhang Liqin Chen Yuan Lin Zhenmin Zhao Chengtao Li Suhua Zhang | 2018 | Forensic Sciences Research2018,3,2: | 4 |
| 8 | Degradation of poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) by Stenotrophomonas sp. YCJ1 isolated from farmland soil显示文摘In recent years, poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT) has been widely used. However, PBAT-degrading bacteria have rarely been reported. PBAT-degrading bacteria were isolated from farmland soil and identified. The effects of growth factors on the degradation of PBAT and the lipase activity of PBAT-degrading bacteria were assessed. The degradation mechanism was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy, attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, Xray diffraction, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results showed that Stenotrophomonas sp. YCJ1 had a significant degrading effect on PBAT. Under certain conditions, the strain could secrete 10.53 U/m L of lipase activity and degrade 10.14 wt.% of PBAT films. The strain secreted lipase to catalyze the degradation of the ester bonds in PBAT, resulting in the production of degradation products such as terephthalic acid, 1,4-butanediol, and adipic acid. | 13 | Functional difference between Sinorhizobium meliloti NifA and Enterobacter cloacae NifA显示文摘The nifA gene is an important regulatory gene and its product, NifA protein, regulates the expression of many nif genes involved in the nitrogen fixation process. We introduced multiple copies of the constitutively expressed Sinorhizobium meliloti (Sm) or Enterobacter cloacae (Ec) nifA gene into both the nifA mutant strain SmY and the wild-type strain Sm1021. Root nodules produced by SmY containing a constitutively expressed Sm nifA gene were capable of fixing nitrogen, while nodules produced by SmY containing the Ec nifA gene remained unable to fix nitrogen, as is the case for SmY itself. However, transfer of an additional Sm nifA gene into Sm1021 improved the nitrogen-fixing efficiency of root nodules to a greater extent than that observed upon transfer of the Ec nifA gene into Sm1021. Comparative analysis of amino acid sequences between Sm NifA and Ec NifA showed that the N-terminal domain was the least similar, but this domain is indispensable for complementation of the Fix? phenotype of SmY by Sm NifA. | 14 | Fluid Catalytic Cracking Feed Hydrotreatment and its Impact on Distribution of Sulfur and Nitrogen Compounds in FCC Diesel显示文摘The sulfides and nitrogen compounds in FCC diesel were analyzed by gas chromatography equipped with a pulsed flame photometric detector(GC-PFPD) and gas chromatography coupled with nitrogen chemiluminescence detection(GC-NCD). And the variation of sulfides and nitrogen compounds in FCC diesel produced from gas oil feed hydrotreated at different temperatures was investigated. The test results showed that two main types of sulfur compounds, i.e. benzothiophenes(BTs) and dibenzothiophenes(DBTs) were found in diesel. Nitrogen compounds are mainly composed of non-basic nitrogen compounds, and indoles and carbazoles account for about 98% of the total nitrogen contents. The sulfides in FCC diesel obtained from hydrotreated feed are mainly BTs with a small amount of 4-MDBT and 4,6-DMDBT. | 15 | Temporal-spatial Distribution and Short-range Prediction Indicators of Hail Weather in East Central Haixi Prefecture of Qinghai Province显示文摘[Objective] The study aimed to discuss the temporal-spatial distribution and short-range prediction indicators of hail weather in east central Haixi Prefecture of Qinghai Province. [Method] Using hail data of six stations in east central Haixi Prefecture from 1960 to 2010, the temporal and spatial distribution of hail weather was analyzed firstly. Afterwards, based on the high-altitude factual data of 30 case studies of hail during 2006-2010, its high-altitude and ground weather situation and physical quantity field were studied to summarize short-term circulation pattern and short-range prediction characteristics of hail weather. [Result] In east central Haixi, hail appeared from April to September, and it was most frequently from May to August. Meanwhile, hail was frequent from 14:00 to 20:00. Among the six stations, hail was most frequent in Tianjun but least frequent in Wulan. Moreover, hail disaster mainly occurred in Wulan and Tianjun. In addition, there were three types of circulation pattern of hail weather at 500 hPa. Hail mainly occurred under the effect of northwest airflow, and it had shortwave trough, cold center or trough, jet stream core or one of the three. Hail appeared frequently under the situation of upper-level divergence and low-level convergence, and abundant water vapor and water vapor flux convergence at low levels were important conditions for hailing.
