Single-Atom Catalysts for Electrochemical Hydrogen Evolution Reaction: Recent Advances and Future Perspectives显示文摘Hydrogen,a renewable and outstanding energy carrier with zero carbon dioxide emission,is regarded as the best alternative to fossil fuels. The most preferred route to large-scale production of hydrogen is by water electrolysis from the intermittent sources(e.g.,wind,solar,hydro,and tidal energy). However, the efficiency of water electrolysis is very much dependent on the activity of electrocatalysts. Thus, designing high-effective,stable,and cheap materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)could have a substantial impact on renewable energy technologies.Recently,single-atom catalysts(SACs)have emerged as a new frontier in catalysis science, because SACs have maximum atom-utilization efficiency and excellent catalytic reaction activity.Various synthesis methods and analytical techniques have been adopted to prepare and characterize these SACs.In this review,we discuss recent progress on SACs synthesis, characterization methods, and their catalytic applications.Particularly,we highlight their unique electrochemical characteristics toward HER.Finally, the current key challenges in SACs for HER are pointed out and some potential directions are proposed as well. | Zonghua Pu Ibrahim Saana Amiinu Ruilin Cheng Pengyan Wang Chengtian Zhang Shichun Mu Weiyue Zhao Fengmei Su Gaixia Zhang Shijun Liao Shuhui Sun | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2: | 10
Spatio-temporal analysis and simulation on shallow rainfall-induced landslides in China using landslide susceptibility dynamics and rainfall I-D thresholds显示文摘An empirical simulation method to simulate the possible position of shallow rainfall-induced landslides in China has been developed. This study shows that such a simulation may be operated in real-time to highlight those areas that are highly prone to rainfall-induced landslides on the basis of the landslide susceptibility index and the rainfall intensity-duration(I-D) thresholds.First, the study on landslide susceptibility in China is introduced. The entire territory has been classified into five categories, among which high-susceptibility regions(Zone 4-'High' and 5-'Very high') account for 4.15%of the total extension of China.Second, rainfall is considered as an external triggering factor that may induce landslide initiation.Real-time satellite-based TMPA3B42 products may provide real rainfall spatial and temporal patterns, which may be used to derive rainfall duration time and intensity.By using a historical record of 60 significant past landslides, the rainfall I-D equation has been calibrated. The rainfall duration time that may trigger a landslide has resulted between 3 hours and 45 hours. The combination of these two aspects can be exploited to simulate the spatiotemporal distribution of rainfall-induced landslide hazards when rainfall events exceed the rainfall I-D thresholds, where the susceptibility category is 'high' or 'very high'.This study shows a useful tool to be part of a systematic landslide simulation methodology, potentially providing useful information for a theoretical basis and practical guide for landslide prediction and mitigation throughout China. | LI WeiYue LIU Chun Marco SCAIONI SUN WeiWei CHEN Yu YAO DongJing CHEN Sheng HONG Yang ZHANG KaiHang CHENG GuoDong | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,4: | 5
SPDEF suppresses head and neck squamous cell carcinoma progression by transcriptionally activating NR4A1显示文摘SAM pointed domain containing E26 transformation-specific transcription factor(SPDEF)plays dual roles in the initiation and development of human malignancies. However, the biological role of SPDEF in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)remains unclear. In this study, the expression level of SPDEF and its correlation with the clinical parameters of patients with HNSCC were determined using TCGA-HNSC,GSE65858,and our own clinical cohorts.CCK8,colony formation, cell cycle analysis, and a xenograft tumor growth model were used to determine the molecular functions of SPDEF in HNSCC.ChIP-qPCR,dual luciferase reporter assay, and rescue experiments were conducted to explore the potential molecular mechanism of SPDEF in HNSCC.Compared with normal epithelial tissues,SPDEF was significantly downregulated in HNSCC tissues.Patients with HNSCC with low SPDEF mRNA levels exhibited poor clinical outcomes.Restoring SPDEF inhibited HNSCC cell viability and colony formation and induced G0/G1 cell cycle arrest, while silencing SPDEF promoted cell proliferation in vitro. The xenograft tumor growth model showed that tumors with SPDEF overexpression had slower growth rates, smaller volumes, and lower weights.SPDEF could directly bind to the promoter region of NR4A1 and promoted its transcription, inducing the suppression of AKT,MAPK,and NF-κB signaling pathways. Moreover, silencing NR4A1 blocked the suppressive effect of SPDEF in HNSCC cells. Here,we demonstrate that SPDEF acts as a tumor suppressor by transcriptionally activating NR4A1 in HNSCC.Our findings provide novel insights into the molecular mechanism of SPDEF in tumorigenesis and a novel potential therapeutic target for HNSCC. | Yanting Wang Xianyue Ren Weiyu Li Ruoyan Cao Suyang Liu Laibo Jiang Bin Cheng Juan Xia | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,4: | 3

Speciation and spatial distribution of Cr in chromite ore processing residue site,Yunnan,China显示文摘Remediation of COPR sites requires the key information including chromium oxidation, speciation and spatial distribution. Samples were gathered from a COPR site in Luliang County in Qujing, Yunnan Province of China. The total Cr, Cr(VI) and chromium species were investigated. Results indicated the concentration of total Cr was between 110.5 and 21,774 mg/kg, and the concentration of Cr(VI) was between 0.1 and 1075 mg/kg. The map of total-Cr and ratio of Cr(VI)/total-Cr(%) showed that the maximum of total-Cr and Cr(VI) appeared in the layers near the surface. In the horizontal direction, the pollution was more serious in the middle and southeast part than that in the west. Additionally, acid extractable chromium increased in the layers at depth from-0.3 to-2.0 m, and it decreased in the deeper layers. There was a trend that the movable Cr(VI) migrated to the deeper layers, and then it turned into Cr(III). Water played an important role for the Cr distribution. Cr(VI) in COPR released to the soil solution after rainfall, and then gravity led the solution down to the deeper layers. After repeated rainfall and leaching,Cr(VI) moved to the deeper soil layers. Due to capillarity and evaporation, Cr(VI) migrated and was enriched at thesurface layer. Therefore, measures on controlling water movement should be taken in the remediation of the COPR site. | Guangzhu Zhou Xin Yin Jing Zhou Weiyu Cheng | 2017 | Acta Geochimica2017,36,2: | 1

Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate alleviates prenatal pyridaben exposureinduced anxiety-like behaviors in offspring显示文摘Pyridaben(PY)is a widely used organochlorine acaricide, which can be detected in the peripheral blood of pregnant women.Available evidence suggests that PY has reproductive toxicity. However,it remains uncertain whether prenatal PY exposure impacts neurobehavioral development in offspring. Here,we administered PY to pregnant mice at a dose of 0.5 and 5 mg kg^(-1)day^(-1)via gavage and observed anxietylike behaviors in PY offspring aged five weeks. We then integrated the metabolome and transcriptome of the offspring's brain to explore the underlying mechanism.Metabolome data indicated that the vitamin B6 metabolism pathway was significantly affected, and the pyridoxal 50-phosphate(PLP)concentration and the active form of vitamin B6 was significantly reduced. Moreover, the transcriptome data showed that both PLP generation-related Pdxk and anxiety-related Gad1 were significantly down-regulated.Meanwhile,there was a decreasing trend in the concentration of GABA in the hippocampal DG region.Next,we supplemented PLP at a dose of 20 mg kg^(-1)day^(-1)to the PY offspring via intraperitoneal injection at three weeks. We found up-regulated expression of Pdxk and Gad1 and restored anxiety-like behaviors. This study suggests that prenatal exposure to PY can disrupt vitamin B6 metabolism, reduce the concentration of PLP,down-regulate the expression levels of Pdxk and Gad1,inhibit the production of GABA,and ultimately lead to anxiety-like behaviors in offspring. | Xingwang Ding Ya Wen Xuan Ma Yuepei Zhang Yuting Cheng Zhaofeng Liu Weiyue Hu Yankai Xia | 2023 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,1: | 0
Simultaneous regulation on coordination environment and interfacial chemistry via taurine for stabilized Zn metal anode显示文摘Aqueous Zn-ion batteries(AZIBs)are the potential options for the next-generation energy storage scenarios due to the cost effectiveness and intrinsic safety.Nevertheless, the industrial application of AZIBs is still impeded by a series of parasitic reactions and dendrites at zinc anodes. In this study, taurine(TAU)is used in electrolyte to simultaneously optimize the coordination condition of the ZnSO4electrolyte and interfacial chemistry at the anode.TAU can preferentially adsorb with the zinc metal and induce an in situ stable and protective interface on the anode, which would avoid the connection between H_(2)O and the zinc metal and promote the even deposition of Zn^(2+).The resulting Zn//Zn batteries achieve more than 3000 hours long cyclic lifespan under 1 mA cm^(-2)and an impressive cumulative capacity at 5 mA cm^(-2).Moreover,Zn//Cu batteries can realize a reversible plating/stripping process over 2,400cycles,with a desirable coulombic efficiency of 99.75%(1 mA cm^(-2)).Additionally,the additive endows Zn//NH_(4)V_(4)O_(10)batteries with more stable cyclic performance and ultrafast rate capability. These capabilities can promote the industrial application of AZIBs. | Xin Xu Junyi Yin Ruimin Qin Haoliang Liu Xiang Feng Minghui Wang Mingyan Li Weiyu Sun Weichen Shi Bing Xiao Yaqiong Su Yonghong Cheng | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,11: | 0
A boronic acid conjugation integrates antitumor drugs into albumin-binding prodrugs-based nanoparticles with robust efficiency for cancer therapy显示文摘Despite great therapeutic effect of Abraxane®,complex preparation technology and unfavorable pharmacokinetics still restricted the clinical application of albumin-based paclitaxel(PTX)nanoparticles(NPs).Herein,we reported that an albumin-binding prodrug, phenylboronic acid-conjugated PTX(P-PTX),can form the uniform NPs with the diameters around 100 nm with the help of albumin via simple one-step nano-precipitation method. The albumin-based nanomedicines were stabilized by the integration of a single boronic acid with PTX due to the increased affinity based on multiple intermolecular interactions. We found that albumin-based P-PTX NPs exhibited superior colloidal stability over albumin-based PTX NPs through one-step nanoprecipitation approach, achieving longer in vivo circulation time and higher concentration in tumor than those of the marketed Abraxane®.Furthermore, the albumin-based P-PTX NPs with great stability and enhanced intratumoral enrichment, increased the maximum tolerated dose of PTX,remarkably suppressed the growth of breast tumor and lung metastasis, prolonged survival of melanoma tumors-bearing mice.Such a convenient and effective system gains an insight into the impact of phenylboronic acid group on the albumin-based PTX NPs,provides potent strategy for the rational design of albumin-based antitumor nanomedicines. | Weiyue Ban Qiuhua Luo Chengda Yan Xiaoying Fan Guorui Zhu Maosheng Cheng Zhonggui He Mengchi Sun Jin Sun | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 0
