| 1 | Massive hemothorax due to intercostal arterial bleeding after percutaneous catheter removal in a multiple-trauma patient: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Intercostal arterial bleeding is unusual complication of percutaneous chest procedures. However, intercostal arterial bleeding is likely to result in critical complications such as abnormalities in vital signs, hypovolemic shock, and death due to massive bleeding. Therefore,it is very important to establish the diagnosis of intercostal arterial bleeding and to initiate treatment.CASE SUMMARY We report a case in which a 59-year-old woman who was hospitalized at intensive care unit with multiple trauma had a massive hemothorax after the removal of a percutaneous catheter. She sustained a refractory right pleural effusion due to biloma caused by a traumatic injury to the liver, despite persistent intraperitoneal drainage. As a result, atelectasis persisted in the dependent portion of the right lung. Therefore,we performed right percutaneous catheter drainage(8.5-F pigtail catheter)for pleural effusion drainage at the 7th intercostal space. After percutaneous catheter removal, portable chest radiography and vital signs of the patient assisted in establishing a diagnosis of intercostal arterial bleeding.Intercostal arterial bleeding was also confirmed using transarterial angiography;and embolization was performed. The patient’s condition progressively improved, and no further intervention was required.CONCLUSION Massive hemothorax is a rare complication of percutaneous catheter removal.Clinicians should carefully examine and diagnose patients to improve prognosis. And interventional selective angiography may be a feasible and minimally invasive treatment for intercostal arterial bleeding control. | Chanhee Park Jeongwoo Lee | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,32: | 1 |

| 4 | Flash‑Induced High‑Throughput Porous Graphene via Synergistic Photo‑Effects for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding显示文摘Porous 2D materials with high conductivity and large surface area have been proposed for potential electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials in future mobility and wearable applications to prevent signal noise, transmission inaccuracy, system malfunction, and health hazards. Here,we report on the synthesis of lightweight and flexible flash-induced porous graphene(FPG)with excellent EMI shielding performance. The broad spectrum of pulsed flashlight induces photo-chemical and photo-thermal reactions in polyimide films, forming 5×10 cm^(2)-size porous graphene with a hollow pillar structure in a few milliseconds. The resulting material demonstrated low density(0.0354 g cm^(−3))and outstanding absolute EMI shielding effectiveness of 1.12×10^(5) dB cm^(2) g^(−1).The FPG was characterized via thorough material analyses, and its mechanical durability and flexibility were confirmed by a bending cycle test. Finally, the FPG was utilized in drone and wearable applications, showing effective EMI shielding performance for internal/external EMI in a drone radar system and reducing the specific absorption rate in the human body. | Jin Soo Lee Jeong‑Wook Kim Jae Hee Lee Yong Koo Son Young Bin Kim Kyoohee Woo Chanhee Lee Il‑Doo Kim Jae Young Seok Jong Won Yu Jung Hwan Park Keon Jae Lee | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,11: | 1 |

| 7 | Detection and Molecular Characterization of Enteroviruses in Korean Surface Water by Using Integrated Cell Culture Multiplex RT-PCR显示文摘Objective To identify waterborne enteric viruses in Korean surface water. Methods Integrated cell culture(ICC)-multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was simultaneously designed to detect coxsackieviruses(CV),polioviruses(PV),and reoviruses(RV).ICC-multiplex RT-PCR and phylogenetic analysis were conducted using 21 total culturable virus assay(TCVA)-positive sample-inoculated cell cultures. Results CV and RV were detected in 9 samples each, and 3 samples were positive for both CV and RV.PV was not detected in any sample.Molecular phylogenetic analysis of the VP1 gene sequences revealed that CV types B2 and B4 predominated in Korean surface water, and the nucleotide sequences of CV type B2 were clustered with those of CVs isolated from China and Japan. The results suggested that the evolution of these viruses occurred in a region-specific manner. Conclusion CV and RV are detectable in Korean surface water, with a predominance of CV type B2,and the evolution of CV type B2 occur in a region-specific manner. | GYUCHEOL LEE CHANHEE LEE CHANSEUNG PARK SANGGI JEONG | 2008 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2008,21,5: | 1 |
