| 4 | Two Cases of Multi-antibiotic Resistant Cronobacter spp. Infections of Infants in China*显示文摘Infections by Cronobacter spp. are hazardous to infants since they can lead to neonatal meningitis, bacteremia, and necrotizing enterocolitis. Cronobacter spp. are frequently resistant to β-lactam derivatives, macrolides, and aminoglycosides. In addition, multi-resistant strains have also been detected. In China, the isolation rate of Cronobacter spp. from commercial powdered infant formula(PIF) or follow-up formula(FUF) is relatively high. Nevertheless, clinical cases of Cronobacter infection have been ignored to date. Here we describe two cases of Cronobacter infection detected at the Wuhan Women and Children Medical Care Center Hospital(Wuhan City, China). We provide the genomic analysis of the isolates and the antibiotic-resistance profiles of the two strains. The Cronobacter strains identified in this study were not susceptible to third-generation cephalosporins, aminoglycoside, and/or trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Whole genome sequencing revealed various genes known to encode antibiotic resistance. Future studies are needed to determine whether the genes predicted in this study are functional. | 5 | Polymorphism in the upstream regulatory region of human papilloma virus type 16 from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women显示文摘To investigate the mutations in the upstream regulatory region (URR) of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) from the cervical cancer biopsies in Xinjiang Uygur women and its relationship to the high incidence of cervical cancer in the southern Xinjiang, the tissue DNA was extracted from the cervical cancer biopsies, and the URR segment of HPV-16 DNA was amplified, sequenced and analyzed. Thereafter, the polymorphism of URR in HPV-16 was then analyzed. It was demonstrated that the positive rate detected for the presence of URR in HPV-16 was 89.47% (17/19). Compared with the previously published sequence in URR of prototype HPV-16, some mutations were detected in the sequence of URR. The mutations in 17 URR fragments of HPV-16 could be divided into 11 patterns (XJU-1 to XJU-11) at nucleic acid level, in which each of XJU-1 and XJU-4 accounted for 23.53% (4/17), and other patterns of mutation accounted for 5.88% (1/17) . In comparison with the URR of prototype HPV-16, the DNA identity of these patterns was 98.50%-99.68% . In these 17 URR fragments, two point mutations occurred at position 7192 (G to T) and position 7520 (G to A) and they appeared to be constant in Xinjiang area. These two mutations were ubiquitous in the Asia-American type and conferred strong infection activity and carcinogenicity of this virus. In addition, the mutations at position 7729 (A to C), position 7843 (A to G) and position 7792 (C to T) could enhance its transcription activity considerably. | 7 | Damage of multi-layer spaced metallic target plates impacted by radial layered PELE显示文摘Three different kinds of PELE(the penetrator with lateral efficiency) were launched by ballistic artillery to impact the multi-layer spaced metal target plates.The lmpact velocities of the projectiles were measured by the velocity measuring system.The damage degree and process of each laye r of target plate impacted by the three kinds of projectiles were analyzed.The experimental results show that all the three kinds of projectiles have the effect of expanding holes on the multi-layer spaced metal target plates.For the normal structure PELE(without layered) with tungsten alloy jacket and the radial layered PELE with tungsten alloy jacket,the diameters of holes on the seco nd layer of plates are 3.36 times and 3.76 times of the diameter of the projectile,re spectively.For radial layered PELE with W/Zr-based amorphous composite jacket,due to the large number of tungsten wires dispersed after the impact,the diameter of the holes on the four-layer spaced plates can reach 2.4 times,3.04 times,5.36 times and 2.68 times of the diameter of the projectile.Besides,the normal structure PELE with tungsten alloy jacket and the radial layered PELE whit tungsten alloy jacket formed a large number of fragments impact marks on the third target plate.Although the number of fragments penetrating the third target plate is not as large as that of the normal structure PELE,the area of dispersion of fragments impact craters on the third target plate is larger by the radial layered PELE.The radial layered PELE with W/Zr-based amorphous composite jacket released a lot of heat energy due to the impact of the matrix material,and formed a large area of ablation marks on the last three target plates. | Chun Cheng Zhong-hua Du Xi Chen Li-zhi Xu Cheng-xin Du Ji-long Han Xiao-dong Wang | 2020 | Defence Technology(防务技术)2020，16，1： | 3 |
| 8 | Clinical analysis of uncinate process carcinoma of the pancreas显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyse the clinical features of uncinate process carcinoma of the pancreas and thediagnosis and treatment of this malignancy.METHOD: Fifty-nine patients with pancreas uncinate process carcinoma treated from January 1998 toSeptember 2002 at our hospital were analysed retrospectively.RESULTS: Major symptoms of these patients were upper abdominal pain accompanied with lumbar pain,body weight loss and jaundice. Thirty-seven patients received regional pancreaticoduodenectomy (RP), 16partial resection of the superior mesenteric vein-portal vein (SMV-PV) or superior mesenteric artery(SMA) and reconstruction, 1 anhydrous alcohol injection in the celiac nerve plexus, regionalchemotherapy via a chemotherapy pump, and liver biopsy, and 5 no operation. The survival of the patientsafter operation was 2-46 months (median 12.1 months). Eleven patients are still alive with a longestsurvival of 46 months. The 1- and 3-year survival rates were 37.7% and 5.6%.CONCLUSIONS: Pancreas uncinate process carcinoma invading the adjacent SMV/SMA-PV causesdifficulty in early diagnosis and poor prognosis, which are related to its location, not tumor’s aggressivenature.
