1Climatological distribution of lightning density observed by satellites in China and its circumjacent regions显示文摘The 0.5°× 0.5°grid resolution distribution of lightning density in China and its circumjacent regions have been analyzed by using the satellite-borne OTD (Apr 1995-Mar 2000) and LIS (Dec 1997-Mar 2003) databases. It is shown that: (ⅰ) Firstly, the variability of the lightning density (LD) is particularly pronounced over the different subareas, 9 times greater over the south than the north side of Himalayas Mountains, 2.5 times greater over the eastern than the western area of China. While the maximum and minimum LD are respectively 31.4fl/km2/a (in Guangzhou region) and less than 0.2fl/km2/a (in the desert of western China). Secondly, the LD of China's continent regularly varies with latitude and distance off coast, which is consistent with annual mean precipitation in varying trend. In conclusion, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the China's three-step staircase topography and the latitude are three important factors affecting macro-scale characteristics of the LD distribution. (ⅱ) The regional differences in LD distribution are closely related to the mesoscale orographic forcing. In the eastern humid regions of China, the high LD belts often appear along the mesoscale mountains (with south-north or northeast-southwest direction, 500-1500 m ASL) and hills, while the low LD belts often appear on the plain and basin (valley) between the mountains. But in the western cold and arid regions of China, the relatively high LD belts mostly appear on the Qinghai Lake area of the southern side of Qilian Mountain, Yili River valley, the basin between Tanggula Mountains and Nyainqetanglha. On the coastal land, the high LD centers appear in regions where mountain and hill and large cities are located. This seems to be related to the interaction between the sea-land breeze and mountain-valley wind or city heat island effect. (ⅲ) The China Sea is one of the relatively high LD zones on global oceans. It is very interesting that a high LD belt is located along the Kuroshio area. It is a new fact that the high temperature and high salinity characteristics of Kuroshio have obvious effect on the local deep convective activity. 2Progression in translational research on spinal cord injury based on microenvironment imbalance显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI) leads to loss of motor and sensory function below the injury level and imposes a considerable burden on patients, families, and society. Repair of the injured spinal cord has been recognized as a global medical challenge for many years.Significant progress has been made in research on the pathological mechanism of spinal cord injury. In particular, with the development of gene regulation, cell sequencing, and cell tracing technologies, in-depth explorations of the SCI microenvironment have become more feasible. However, translational studies related to repair of the injured spinal cord have not yielded significant results. This review summarizes the latest research progress on two aspects of SCI pathology: intraneuronal microenvironment imbalance and regenerative microenvironment imbalance. We also review repair strategies for the injured spinal cord based on microenvironment imbalance, including medications, cell transplantation, exosomes, tissue engineering, cell reprogramming, and rehabilitation. The current state of translational research on SCI and future directions are also discussed. 3Response of global lightning activity to air temperature variation显示文摘It is an issue of great attention but yet not very clear whether lightning activities increase or decrease on a warmer world. Reeve et al. presented that lightning activities in global land and the Northern Hemisphere land have posi- tive response to the increase of wet bulb temperature at 1000hPa. Is this positive response restricted only to wet bulb temperature or in land? What is the response of global light- ning activities (in both land and ocean) to the global surface air temperature variation like? This paper, based on the 5-year or 8-year OTD/LIS satellite-based lightning detecting data and the NCEP reanalysis data, makes a reanalysis of the response of the global and regional lightning activities to temperature variations. The results show that on the inter- annual time scale the global total flash rate has positive re- sponse to the variation in global surface air temperature, with the sensitivity of 17±7% K?1. Also, the seasonal mean flash rate of continents all over the world and that of conti- nents in the Northern Hemisphere have sensitive positive response to increase of global surface air temperature and wet bulb temperature, with the sensitivity of about 13±5% K?1, a bit lower than estimation of 40% K?1 in Reeve et al. 5Fractal analysis of polyferric chloride-humic acid(PFC-HA) flocs in different topological spaces显示文摘The fractal dimensions in different topological spaces of polyferric chloride-humic acid(PFC-HA) flocs,formed in flocculating different kinds of humic acids(HA) water at different initial pH(9.0,7.0,5.0) and PFC dosages,were calculated by effective densitymaximum diameter,image analysis,and N2 absorption-desorption methods,respectively. The mass fractal dimensions(Df) of PFC-HA flocs were calculated by bi-logarithm relation of effective density with maximum diameter and Logan empirical equation. The Df value was more than 2.0 at initial pH of 7.0,which was 11% and 13% higher than those at pH 9.0 and 5.0,respecively,indicating the most compact flocs formed in flocculated HA water at initial pH of 7.0. The image analysis for those flocs indicates that after flocculating the HA water at initial pH greater than 7.0 with PFC flocculant,the fractal dimensions of D2(logA vs. logdL) and D3(logVsphere vs. logdL) of PFC-HA flocs decreased with the increase of PFC dosages,and PFC-HA flocs showed a gradually looser structure. At the optimum dosage of PFC,the D2(logA vs. logdL) values of the flocs show 14%-43% difference with their corresponding Df,and they even had different tendency with the change of initial pH values. However,the D2 values of the flocs formed at three different initial pH in HA solution had a same tendency with the corresponding Df. Based on fractal Frenkel-Halsey-Hill(FHH) adsorption and desorption equations,the pore surface fractal dimensions(Ds) for dried powders of PFC-HA flocs formed in HA water with initial pH 9.0 and 7.0 were all close to 2.9421,and the Ds values of flocs formed at initial pH 5.0 were less than 2.3746. 6Adsorption of atrazine by natural organic matter and surfactant dispersed carbon nanotubes显示文摘The aggregation and dispersion behaviors of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) can regulate the environmental spread and fate of CNTs, as well as the organic pollutants adsorbed onto them. In this study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) were surface modified with humic acids from different sources and with surfactants of different ionic types. The dispersion stability of surface modified CNTs was observed by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The effect of humic acid and surfactant dispersion on the adsorption of atrazine by CNTs was investigated by batch equilibrium experiments. Both humic acid and surfactant could effectively disperse MWNTs, but not SWNTs, into stable suspensions under the studied conditions. Surface modified CNTs had a greatly reduced capacity for adsorption of atrazine. The inhibitory effect of peat humic acid was relatively stronger than that of soil humic acid, but the two surfactants had a similar inhibitory effect on atrazine adsorption by the two CNT types. 8A Review of Atmospheric Electricity Research in China显示文摘The importance of atmospheric electricity research has been increasingly recognized in recent decades. Research on atmospheric electricity has been actively conducted since the 1980 s in China. Lightning physics and its effects, as important branches of atmospheric electricity, have received more attention because of their significance both in scientific research and lightning protection applications. This paper reviews atmospheric electricity research based primarily on ground-based field experiments at different regions in China in the last decade. 9In vivo toxicity of nano-C_60 aggregates complex with atrazine to aquatic organisms显示文摘The present study aims at investigating the potential impacts of the nC60 complex with atrazine on the development of Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) embryos and chronic toxicity to D. magna. Although exposure to nC60 below 8 mg/L had no effects on the hatching rate of medaka embryos, it increased the deformity of hatched larvae. Moreover, the presence of nC60 significantly increased the hatching time of the embryos exposed to atrazine. 14-day exposure of D. magna to nC60 significantly reduced offspring production even at a concentration as low as 0.5 mg/L. This indicates that nC60 is able to reduce the ability of D. magna to produce offspring, and therefore would have an impact on population. For atrazine, no significant difference in offspring production was observed. The nC60 complex with atrazine was also found to significantly decrease the reproduction of D. magna, which was similar to the result of exposure to nC60. These results suggest that nC60 would have potential risks to aquatic organisms. 10Locating Parent Lightning Strokes of Sprites Observed over a Mesoscale Convective System in Shandong Province,China显示文摘In this paper, we report the location results for the parent lightning strokes of more than 30 red sprites observed over an asymmetric mesoscale convective system(MCS) on 30 July 2015 in Shandong Province, China, with a long-baseline lightning location network of very-low-frequency/low-frequency magnetic field sensors. The results show that almost all of these cloud-to-ground(CG) strokes are produced during the mature stage of the MCS, and are predominantly located in the trailing stratiform region, which is similar to analyses of sprite-productive MCSs in North America and Europe. Comparison between the location results for the sprite-producing CG strokes and those provided by the World Wide Lightning Location Network(WWLLN) indicates that the location accuracy of WWLLN for intense CG strokes in Shandong Province is typically within 10 km, which is consistent with the result based on analysis of 2838 sprite-producing CG strokes in the continental United States. 11Deposition behavior of residual aluminum in drinking water distribution system:Effect of aluminum speciation显示文摘Finished drinking water usually contains some residual aluminum.The deposition of residual aluminum in distribution systems and potential release back to the drinking water could significantly influence the water quality at consumer taps.A preliminary analysis of aluminum content in cast iron pipe corrosion scales and loose deposits demonstrated that aluminum deposition on distribution pipe surfaces could be excessive for water treated by aluminum coagulants including polyaluminum chloride(PACl).In this work,the deposition features of different aluminum species in PACl were investigated by simulated coil-pipe test,batch reactor test and quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring.The deposition amount of non-polymeric aluminum species was the least,and its deposition layer was soft and hydrated,which indicated the possible formation of amorphous Al(OH)_3.Al_(13) had the highest deposition tendency,and the deposition layer was rigid and much less hydrated,which indicated that the deposited aluminum might possess regular structure and self-aggregation of Al_(13)could be the main deposition mechanism.While for Al_(30),its deposition was relatively slower and deposited aluminum amount was relatively less compared with Al_(13).However,the total deposited mass of Al_(30) was much higher than that of Al_(13),which was attributed to the deposition of particulate aluminum matters with much higher hydration state.Compared with stationary condition,stirring could significantly enhance the deposition process,while the effect of pH on deposition was relatively weak in the near neutral range of 6.7 to 8.7.Yue Zhang Baoyou Shi Yuanyuan Zhao Mingquan Yan Darren A.Lytle Dongsheng Wang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:5
12Dye removal by eco-friendly physically cross-linked double network polymer hydrogel beads and their functionalized composites显示文摘Hydrogels have attracted large attention in wastewater treatment fields due to their low-cost and good interaction with pollutants,among which novel double network hydrogel is an outstanding class.To expand the application of double network hydrogel in water treatment,in this study,eco-friendly physically cross-linked double network polymer hydrogel beads(DAP)are prepared and studied in depth on the mechanism of Methylene Blue(MB)adsorption;and then the polymer hydrogels are further functionalized by inorganic materials.MB adsorption on DAP favors alkaline condition which is due to the increase of electrostatic attraction and adsorption site,and it reaches equilibrium within 10 hr,which is faster than that of the single network hydrogel beads(SAP).Through thermodynamics study,the process shows to be an exothermic and spontaneous process.The adsorption isotherms are well fitted by Langmuir model,with a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 1437.48 mg/g,which is larger than SAP(1255.75 mg/g).After being functionalized with common inorganic materials including activated carbon,Fe_3O_4and graphene oxide(GO),the composites show to have larger pore sizes and have obvious increases in adsorption capacity especially the one contains GO.Then the composites contains Fe_3O_4are used as heterogeneous Fenton catalyst which shows to have excellent performance in MB degradation.The results indicate the potential of polymer double network to be functionalized in environmental areas.Yan Kong Yuan Zhuang Zhiyong Han Jianwei Yu Baoyou Shi Kun Han Haotian Hao 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,4:5
13中医辟谷技术治疗难治性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征典型案例及其分析显示文摘目的:分析中医服气辟谷技术治疗难治性睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征的效果。方法:应用中医服气辟谷技术干预1例患病10年以上典型睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征患者,采用智能枕监测日常睡眠。与干预前1个月指标比较,分析干预期间、干预后1周、干预后1~4个月患者睡眠指标变化情况。睡眠指标包括总睡眠时长,深度睡眠时长,深度睡眠百分率,浅睡眠时长,浅睡眠百分率,快速动眼期(REM)时长,REM百分率,呼吸暂停次数、时长,单次最长呼吸暂停时间,心率,打鼾次数,打鼾时长等。结果:与干预前1个月比较,干预期打鼾次数及时长逐日减少;干预后1周进一步减少(P<0.05);呼吸暂停次数减少,与干预前比较,在干预后第3、4个月出现显著性差异(分别为P<0.05、P<0.01),呼吸暂停总时间与单次最长时间在干预后均逐月减少,至干预后第4个月已出现显著性差异(P<0.01,P<0.05)。与干预前比较,体动次数在干预后第2、3、4个月均明显减少(均P<0.01);浅度睡眠百分率在干预后第3、4个月明显升高(P<0.01,P<0.05);REM及REM百分率在干预后第2、3、4个月均明显减少(分别为P<0.05、P<0.01、P<0.05)。结论:中医服气辟谷技术治疗该例典型睡眠呼吸暂停低通气综合征患者有效,患者睡眠呼吸暂停次数、总时间、单次最大时长及体动次数均出现渐进式改善,整体睡眠质量也出现渐进式改善。郭建红 郑太萍 燕晓雯 俞海虹 Li Baoyou 2020中国民间疗法2020,28,4:4
14Vesicular Li3V2(PO4)3/C hollow mesoporous microspheres as an efficient cathode material for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Vesicular lithium vanadium phosphate/carbon hollow mesoporous microspheres were fabricated using a facile polyvinylpyrrolidone-assisted aerosol-spray-assisted method and subsequent heat-treatment. While changing the content of polyvinylpyrrolidone, we found that carbon content was adjustable on the surface of lithium vanadium phosphate. By optimizing the carbon content among the composites, the electrochemical performance can be enhanced significantly. The results of electrochemical performance tests suggested that the samples exhibited good cycle performance and high discharge capability in the voltages between 3.0-4.8 V. 17Open N-doped carbon coated porous molybdenum phosphide nanorods for synergistic catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Molybdenum phosphide is a potential hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalyst.However,traditional high-temperature phosphating preparation methods are prone to damage of material morphology and agglomeration.Using the carbon skeleton to limit the size and morphology of MoP and to improve the conductivity of the material is an effective method to improve the performance of the catalyst.However,there is a lack of research on the effect of carbon skeleton and MoP composite structure on the catalytic mechanism of HER.We coated ZIF-8 on the surface of MoP nanorods,and obtained open N-doped carbon-coated porous MoP nanorods(N/C/MoP)through carbonization and phosphating.Studies have shown that the ZIF-8 coating effectively limits the size and morphology of the material and avoids agglomeration.Under alkaline conditions,N/C/MoP has a low overpotential of 169 mV for HER at 10 mA/cm2,which is 55 mV lower than MoP without a carbon layer.At the same time,its Tafel slope(51.3 mV/dec)is smaller than Pt/C(59.9 mV/dec),and it has good stability.Density functional theory(DFT)studies have shown that under alkaline conditions,there is a synergistic effect between the open N-doped carbon layer and the exposed MoP active surface,which reduces the activation energy of water and improves the catalytic performance of HER.It is worth noting that a tight coating will hinder the exposure of active sites and reduce catalytic activity.Chao Wang Wen Li Xiaodan Wang Nan Yu Hongxia Sun Baoyou Geng 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:3

19Strong enhancement of methylene blue removal from binary wastewater by in-situ ferrite process显示文摘Dye wastewater containing heavy metal ions is a common industrial effluent with complex physicochemical properties.The treatment of metal–dye binary wastewater is difficult.In this work,a novel in-situ ferrite process(IFP) was applied to treat Methylene Blue(MB)–Cu(II)binary wastewater,and the operational parameters were optimized for MB removal.Results showed that the optimum operating conditions were OH/M of 1.72,Cu^(2+)/Fe^(2+)ratio of 1/2.5,reaction time of 90 min,aeration intensity of 320 mL/min,and reaction temperature of40°C.Moreover,the presence of Ca^(2+)and Mg^(2+)moderately influenced the MB removal.Physical characterization results indicated that the precipitates yielded in IFP presented high surface area(232.50 m2/g) and a multi-porous structure.Based on the Langmuir model,the maximum adsorption capacity toward MB was 347.82 mg/g for the precipitates produced in IFP,which outperformed most other adsorbents.Furthermore,IFP rapidly sequestered MB with removal efficiency 5 to 10 times greater than that by general ferrite adsorption,which suggested a strong enhancement of MB removal by IFP.The MB removal process by IFP showed two different high removal stages,each with a corresponding removal mechanism.In the first brief stage(<5 min),the initial high MB removal(~95%)was achieved by predominantly electrostatic interactions.Then the sweep effect and encapsulation were dominant in the second longer stage.Haotian Hao Yili Wang Baoyou Shi Kun Han Yuan Zhuang Yan Kong Xin Huang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,11:3
20Phosphorylation of a wheat aquaporin at two sites enhances both plant growth and defense显示文摘Eukaryotic aquaporins share the characteristic of functional multiplicity in transporting distinct substrates and regulating various processes,but the underlying molecular basis for this is largely unknown.Here,we report that the wheat(Triticum aestivum)aquaporin TaPIP2;10 undergoes phosphorylation to promote photosynthesis and productivity and to confer innate immunity against pathogens and a generalist aphid pest.In response to elevated atmospheric CO_(2)concentrations,TaPIP2;10 is phosphorylated at the serine residue S280 and thereafter transports CO_(2)into wheat cells,resulting in enhanced photosynthesis and increased grain yield.In response to apoplastic H_(2)O_(2) induced by pathogen or insect attacks,TaPIP2;10 is phosphorylated at S121 and this phosphorylated form transports H_(2)O_(2) into the cytoplasm,where H_(2)O_(2)intensifies host defenses,restricting further attacks.Wheat resistance and grain yield could be simultaneously increased by TaPIP2;10 overexpression or by expressing a TaPIP2;10 phosphomimic with aspartic acid substitutions at S121 and S280,thereby improving both crop productivity and immunity.Kai Lu Xiaochen Chen Xiaohui Yao Yuyan An Xuan Wang Lina Qin Xiaoxu Li Zuodong Wang Shuo Liu Zhimao Sun Liyuan Zhang Lei Chen Baoyan Li Baoyou Liu Weiyang Wang Xinhua Ding Yonghua Yang Meixiang Zhang Shenshen Zou Hansong Dong 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,11:2
