2An Efficient IIoT-Based Smart Sensor Node for Predictive Maintenance of Induction Motors显示文摘Predictive maintenance is a vital aspect of the industrial sector,and the use of Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)sensor nodes is becoming increasingly popular for detecting motor faults and monitoring motor conditions.An integrated approach for acquiring,processing,and wirelessly transmitting a large amount of data in predictive maintenance applications remains a significant challenge.This study presents an IIoT-based sensor node for industrial motors.The sensor node is designed to acquire vibration data on the radial and axial axes of the motor and utilizes a hybrid approach for efficient data processing via edge and cloud platforms.The initial step of signal processing is performed on the node at the edge,reducing the burden on a centralized cloud for processing data from multiple sensors.The proposed architecture utilizes the lightweight Message Queue Telemetry Transport(MQTT)communication protocol for seamless data transmission from the node to the local and main brokers.The broker’s bridging allows for data backup in case of connection loss.The proposed sensor node is rigorously tested on a motor testbed in a laboratory setup and an industrial setting in a rice industry for validation,ensuring its performance and accuracy in real-world industrial environments.The data analysis and results from both testbed and industrial motors were discussed using vibration analysis for identifying faults.The proposed sensor node is a significant step towards improving the efficiency and reliability of industrial motors through realtime monitoring and early fault detection,ultimately leading to minimized unscheduled downtime and cost savings.Majida Kazmi Maria Tabasum Shoaib Arshad Aziz Hashim Raza Khan Saad Ahmed Qazi 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,10:0
3Structural and optical properties of Zn_(1-x)Ni_xTe thin films prepared by electron beam evaporation technique显示文摘Zn1-xNixTe thin films with different composition(x=0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) were deposited on glass substrate by electron beam evaporation technique followed by its characterization using advanced structural and optical analysis techniques. Structural properties of the prepared thin films were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD). The XRD patterns revealed that the binary compounds transformed into a ternary compound with cubic structure having preferred orientation along the c-direction with(111) planes. Composition analysis of the films was determined by energy dispersive analysis of X-rays(EDAX) and found to be in agreement with the precursor composition. Optical properties such as extinction coefficient(k) and band gap energy of these films were examined by using a spectroscopic ellipsometer. It was found that the extinction coefficient(k) increased with the addition of Ni content in the alloy. In comparison, the band gap energy was also determined by using transmission spectra and found to be agreed with that of the ellipsometric results. These analyses confirm that the band gap energy decreases with the increase of Ni content in the alloy.Arshad Mahmood R. Rashid U. Aziz A. 4Photoluminescence and structural analysis of wurtzite(ZnO)1-x(V2O5)x composite显示文摘This paper demonstrates the structural, vibrational and photoluminescence characteristics of(ZnO)_(1-x)(V_2O_5)_x(x = 0, 3, 6 and 9 mol%) composites semiconductor synthesized by using the solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction(XRD) studies show that(ZnO)_(1-x)(V_2O_5)_x composites have the poly crystalline wurtzite structure of hexagonal Zn O. It is found from the XRD results that the lattice constants and the crystallite size increase while the dislocation density decreases with increase in doping concentration. The existence of E1(TO) and E2(high) Raman modes show that the Zn O still preserve wurtzite structure after doping vanadium oxide, which is in agreement with XRD results. Room temperature photoluminescence(PL) exhibit near band edge and broad deep level emission while indicating the suppression of deep level emission with the incorporation of V_2O_5 up to a certain concentration(x < 9). 5Absence of postzygotic isolating mechanisms:evidence from experimental hybridization between two species of tropical sea urchins显示文摘Two reef margin species of tropical sea urchins,Echinometra sp.C(Ec) and Echinometra oblonga(Eo),occur sympatrically on Okinawa intertidal reefs in southern Japan.Hybridization between these species was examined through a series of cross-fertilization experiments.At limited sperm concentrations,where conspecific crosses reached near 100% fertilization,both heterospecific crosses showed high fertilization rates(81%-85%).The compatibility of the gametes demonstrated that if gamete recognition molecules are involved in fertilization of these species,they are not strongly species-specific.We found that conspecific crosses reached peak fertilization levels much faster than did heterospecific crosses,indicating the presence of a prezygotic barrier to hybridization in the gametes.Larval survival,metamorphosis,and juvenile and adult survival of hybrid groups were nearly identical to those of their parent species.Hybrids from crosses in both directions developed normally through larval stages to sexually mature adults,indicating that neither gametic incompatibility nor hybrid inviability appeared to maintain reproductive isolation between these species.In adults,Ec×Ec crosses gave the highest live weight,followed by Eo(ova)×Ec(sperm),Ec(ova)×Eo(sperm),and Eo×Eo.Other growth performance measures(viz.,test size,Aristotle's lantern length,and gonad index) of hybrid groups and their parental siblings showed the same trends.The phenotypic color patterns of the hybrids were closer to the maternal coloration,whereas spine length,tube-foot and gonad spicule characteristics,pedicellaria valve length,and gamete sizes showed intermediate features.Adult F 1 hybrids were completely fertile and displayed high fertilization success in F 1 backcrosses,eliminating the likelihood that hybrid sterility is a postzygotic mechanism of reproductive isolation.Conversely,intensive surveys failed to find hybrid individuals in the field,suggesting the lack or rarity of natural hybridization.This strongly suggests that reproductive isolation is achieved by prezygotic isolating mechanism(s).Of these mechanisms,habitat segregation,gamete competition,differences in spawning times,gametic incompatibility or other genetic and non-genetic factors appear to be important in maintaining the integrity of these species.M.Aminur RAHMAN Tsuyoshi UEHARA Aziz ARSHAD Fatimah Md.YUSOFF Mariana Nor SHAMSUDIN 2012Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2012,13,10:0
6影响三大洲的北非强沙尘暴动力机制WRF-chem模拟与分析显示文摘基于WRF-chem模式对北非2018年3月下旬的典型强沙尘暴过程进行模拟,分析了此次强沙尘发生季节、持续时间、局地特征以及传输路径的关键动力系统与动力机制。鉴于起沙是沙尘暴发生的关键点之一,并且起沙主要取决于风力和下垫面沙源性质,本文测试了三种起沙参数化方案的影响,并将模拟结果与卫星MODIS监测及其再分析资料MERRA-2进行了对比,又经系列统计方法检验。结果显示,宏观思路的起沙方案GOCART比AFWA和UoC两种起沙方案更适合此次大尺度强沙尘暴数值模拟(锋面跨度接近60个经度)。综合沙尘暴关键系统的动力机制分析和数值模拟结果显示,强沙尘暴关键系统为深厚的西风槽、沙尘冷锋锋面和锋后的地面高压反气旋。北非中部深厚的西风槽为后倾槽,该系统稳定,造成沙尘暴持续时间长。沙尘暴锋后反气旋中的下沉气流抑制了扬沙向高层扩散,造成低层能见度恶劣。沙尘锋区结合了动力、热动力以及湿热动力不稳定,因此锋区风力大,地面沙尘驱动力强。而西风槽和强大反气旋依托环流形势,提供了沙尘传输到三大洲的长途输送力。Altayeb Ragab 王坚红 Abdoul Aziz Saidou Chaibou Muhammad Arshad Mohammed AbdAllah Birhanu Asmerom Habtemicheal 2022气象科学2022,42,6:0

8Tocilizumab in severe COVID-19-A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial显示文摘Background:The therapeutic effectiveness of interleukin-6 receptor inhibitor in critically ill hospitalized patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is uncertain.Methods:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the outcome as recovery or death of tocilizumab for severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)infection,we conducted a randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled phase 2 trial in critically ill COVID-19 adult patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 4:1 ratio to receive standard medical treatment plus the recommended dose of either tocilizumab or the placebo drug.Randomization was stratified.The primary outcome was the recovery or death after administration of tocilizumab or a placebo drug.The secondary outcomes were clinical recovery or worsening of the patients’symptoms and inflammatory markers and discharge from the hospital.Results:Of 190 patients included in this study,152 received tocilizumab,and 38 received a placebo.The duration of hospital stay of the interventional group was 12.9±9.2,while the placebo group had a more extended hospital stay(15.6±8.8).The mortality ratio for the primary outcome,ie,mortality or recovery in the tocilizumab group was 17.8%;p=0.58 by log-rank test).The mortality ratio in the placebo group was 76.3%;p=0.32 by log-rank test).The inflammatory markers in the tocilizumab group significantly declined by day 16 compared to the placebo group.Conclusions:The use of tocilizumab was associated with decreased mortality,earlier improvement of inflamma-tory markers,and reduced hospital stay in patients with severe COVID-19.Muhammad Irfan Malik Sardar Al Fareed Zafar Fabiha Qayyum Muna Malik Muhammad Sohaib Asghar Muhammad Junaid Tahir Ammarah Arshad Fatima Khalil Hafiza Shafia Naz Mudassar Aslam Jodat Saleem Abdul Aziz Mustafa Usman Azhar Muhammad Naqash Zohaib Yousaf 2022Infectious Medicine2022,1,2:0
