1Regional Distribution and Sustainable Development Strategy of Mineral Resources in China显示文摘This paper summarizes the distribution and production layout of the major mineral resources in China,including coal,iron ore,copper and bauxite,from a national perspective.It also identifies the incompatibility between the mineral resources distribution and regional economic development.Significant issues with China's mineral resource industry cause challenges for the sustainable development of both the mining industry and the national socio-economy.The sustainability of regional mineral resources and the environmental pollution by mining in the western China were also analyzed.Results show that the distribution of China's mineral resources is misaligned with its regional layout of economic development.China's mineral resources have been over-exploited,and the mineral resources production in the eastern China is unsustainable.The continuously expanding production of mineral resources in the western China has heavily endangered the ecological environment.We propose strategies to boost the sustainable development of mineral resources,including measures to accelerate economic development and enhance the sustainability of domestic mineral resources.We also offer suggestions for scientifically planning the mineral resource prospecting and exploitation and regional economic layout,as well as for proactively undertaking industry transfer in the eastern China and raising the environmental benchmark requirements for the mineral industry in the central and western China.LI Chaofeng WANG Anjian CHEN Xiaojin CHEN Qishen ZHANG Yanfei LI Ying 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,4:11
2Heavy metal content in scalp hair of the inhabitants near Dexing Copper Mine,Jiangxi Province,China显示文摘Levels of seven metals(Mn,Cu,Zn,Pb,Cr,Cd,and Se) in the scalp hair of Daicun and Xiangtian inhabitants were determined by ICP-MS/AFS.Daicun,as an experimental site,is near Dexing Copper Mine,Jiangxi Province,China,and exposed to mining pollution;Xiangtian,as a control site,is free from any mining and other industrial pollution.The heavy metal distribution in the scalp hair of the two diverse population segments exposed to different environments was discussed against the background of the heavy metal content of local plants,waters,and soils.The results show:1) Levels of Cu,Zn,Pb,Cr,and Cd in the scalp hair of Daicun inhabitants were higher compared with Xiangtian counterparts which showed higher comparative levels of Se and Mn.But there were no significant differences of the levels of Cu and Zn in the hair samples between the two villages.In the hair of the inhabitants in the two villages,the levels for Se,Zn,and Cu were lower,while the level for Mn was higher,than the corresponding levels from other regions of the world.Compared with the standard issued by the Trace Element Research Council of China for Chinese inhabitants there were serious Se,Zn,Cu and Cr-deficiency phenomena in the hair samples from Daicun and Xiangtian.2) Against the geological background of high levels of Zn,Cu,Se and Cr,there were deficiencies of Zn,Cu,Se and Cr in the hair samples of the Daicun population.This may have been caused by the distribution forms of the heavy metals in the soils,and antagonism among the elements.3) Principal Component Analysis(PCA) and Cluster Analysis(CA) indicated that the origins of the heavy metals in the hair samples from the two villages had some differences as well as some similarities,this should be contributed mainly to the influence of the mining activities.NI ShanQin LI RuiPing WANG AnJian 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,5:6

6Source rupture characteristics of the September 5,2022 Luding M_(S)6.8 earthquake at the Xianshuihe fault zone in southwest China显示文摘On September 5,2022,at Beijing time 12:52 p.m.,an M_(S)6.8 earthquake struck Luding County,GarzêTibetan Autonomous Prefecture,Sichuan Province.The epicenter of the earthquake was at the intersection of the Sichuan-Yunnan,Bayankala,and South China blocks.The tectonic background is extremely complex,and strong earthquakes occur frequently.Based on a predetermined focal location and focal mechanism solution for the earthquake,we reversed the focal depth and rupture process of the earthquake by fitting the teleseismic P and SH waves recorded by the global seismic network.The results show that the focal depth is 16 km,with the main rupture having a length of about 45 km near the epicenter,with a maximum displacement of 1.02 m.Although the rupture mainly propagates from the north–northwest(NNW)to the south–southeast(SSE)along the fault strike,there is a small-scale rupture slip zone at shallow depths in the north–northeast(NNE)direction along the epicenter of the seismogenic fault.This rupture image corresponds to the cluster distribution of aftershocks in the NNW and SSE directions starting from the epicenter,corresponding to the distribution of recorded landslides.The earthquake occurred on the Moxi fault,located in the southeastern section of the Xianshuihe fault.The major tectonic feature in this area is the southeastward movement of the Chuandian block relative to the Bayanhar block.Guohui Li Anjian Wang Yuan Gao 2023Earthquake Research Advances2023,3,2:2

10Multifunctional Reduced Graphene Oxide Hydrogel as Drug Carrier for Localized and Synergic Photothermal/Photodynamics/Chemo Therapy显示文摘To combine localized drug release with multimodal therapy for malignant tumor, a composite hydrogel as an integrative drug delivery system was facilely prepared. The system contains spinach extract(SE),reduced graphene oxide(r GO) and gold nanocages(Au NCs). SE conduces to the formation of hydrogel,and also serves as a green material for improving the biocompatibility of hydrogel, and a natural photosensitizer for killing tumor cells under laser radiation(660 nm). Au NCs show obvious photothermy and can enhance the generation of cytotoxic singlet oxygen(1O2). The composite hydrogel shell on tumor cells exhibits several competitive advantages including enhanced antitumor effect by retaining the high concentration of drugs around cancer cell, excellent PDT/PTT compatibility as well as high loading and controllable release of fluorouracil(5-FU) for synergetic multimodal treatment. The survival rate of He La cells incubated with 5-FU loaded hydrogel under NIR radiation for 10 min sharply decreases to 1.2%, indicating remarkably improved antitumor effects. 16An iron-dependent form of non-canonical ferroptosis induced by labile iron显示文摘Ferroptosis is a recently identified iron-dependent form of nonapoptotic cell death characterized by reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation and lipid peroxidation.Here,we report a novel iron-dependent form of ferroptosis induced by labile iron and investigate the mechanism underlying this process.We find that labile iron-induced ferroptosis is distinct from canonical ferroptosis and is linked to the mitochondrial pathway.Specifically,the mitochondrial calcium uniporter mediates the ferroptosis induced by labile iron.Interestingly,cells undergoing labile iron-induced ferroptosis exhibit cytoplasmic features of oncosis and nuclear features of apoptosis.Furthermore,labile iron-induced ferroptosis involves a unique set of genes.Finally,labile ironinduced ferroptosis was observed in liver subjected to acute iron overload in vivo.Our study reveals a novel form of ferroptosis that may be implicated in diseases caused by acute injury.Yanmeng Li Qin Ouyang Wei Chen Ke Liu Bei Zhang Jingyi Yao Song Zhang Junying Ding Min Cong Anjian Xu 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,3:1
