| 18 | Novel in-capsule synthesis of metal-organic framework for innovative carbon dioxide capture system显示文摘Metal-Organic Frameworks(MOFs)have been developed as solid sorbents for CO_(2) capture applications and their properties can be controlled by tuning the chemical blocks of their crystalline units.A number of MOFs(e.g.,HKUST-1)have been developed but the question remains how to deploy them for gas-solid contact.Unfortunately,the direct use of MOFs as nanocrystals would lead to serious problems and risks.Here,for the first time,we report a novel MOF-based hybrid sorbent that is produced via an innovative in-situ microencapsulated synthesis.Using a custom-made double capillary microfluidic assembly,double emulsions of the MOF precursor solutions and UV-curable silicone shell fluid are produced.Subsequently,HKUST-1 MOF is successfully synthesized within the droplets enclosed in the gas permeable microcapsules.The developed MOF-bearing microcapsules uniquely allow the deployment of functional nanocrystals without the challenge of handling ultrafine particles,and further,can selectively reject undesired compounds to protect encapsulated MOFs. | Wei Yu Ming Gao Guanhe Rim Tony G.Feric Mark L.Rivers Ammar Alahmed Aqil Jamal Ah-Hyung Alissa Park | 2023 | Green Energy & Environment2023,8,3: | 0 |
| 19 | Study of Bacterial Samples Using Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy显示文摘Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) technique has been applied to investigate two diflferent types of bacteria,Escherichia coli(B1) and Micrococcus luteus(B2) deposited on glass slides using Spectrolaser 7000.LIBS spectra were analyzed using spectrolaser software.LIBS spectrum of glass substrate was compared with bacteria spectra.Ca,Mg,Na,K,P,S,Cl,Fe,Al,Mn,Cu,C,H and CN-band appeared in bacterial samples in air.Two carbon lines at193.02 nm,247.88 nm and one hydrogen line at 656.28 nm with intensity ratios of 1.9,1.83 and1.53 appeared in bacterial samples Bl and B2 respectively.Carbon and hydrogen are the important components of the bio-samples Uke bacteria and other cancer cells.Investigation on LIBS spectra of the samples in He and Ar atmospheres is also presented.Ni lines appeared only in B2 sample in Ar atmosphere.From the present experimental results we are able to show that LIBS technique has a potential in the identification and discrimination of different types of bacteria. | W A FAROOQ M ATIF W TAWFIK M S ALSALHI Z A ALAHMED M SARFRAZ J P SINGH | 2014 | Plasma Science and Technology2014,16,12: | 0 |
