Preparation of hierarchical mesoporous Zn/HZSM-5 catalyst and its application in MTG reaction显示文摘The hierarchical mesoporous Zn/ZSM-5 zeolite catalyst was prepared by NaOH treatment and Zn impregnation, and its application in the conversion of methanol to gasoline (MTG) was studied. N2 adsorption-desorption results showed that the mesopores with sizes of 2–20 nm in HZ5/0.3AT was formed by 0.3 M NaOH alkali treatment. The zeolite samples after modification were also characterized by XRF, AAS, XRD, SEM and NH3-TPD methods. Zn impregnated catalyst Zn/HZ5/0.3AT exhibited dramatic improvements in catalytic lifetime and liquid hydrocarbons yield. The selectivity of aromatic hydrocarbons was also improved after Zn impregnation. It is suggested that the mesopores of Zn/HZ5/0.3AT enhanced the synergetic effect of Zn species and acid sites and the capability to coke tolerance, which were confirmed by the results of catalytic test and TGA analysis, respectively. | Youming Ni Aiming Sun XiaolingWu Guoliang Hai Jianglin Hu Tao Li Guangxing Li | 2011 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2011,20,3: | 31
A comparative study of natural and experimental nano-sized grinding grain textures in rocks显示文摘In three shallow-level fault systems in eastern China, nano-sized (30―100 nm) grinding grain textures are found in the thin-shelled rheological layer representing frictional-viscous high strain field. The surface layer near slipping plane is composed of stacks of grinding grains with high sphericity and uniform nano-sized diameter, while the underlying layer appears as a mixture of irregular ones with diverse diameters. Rock deformation experiments indicate that the grinding grain texture is a common phenomenon in shearing fractures, suggesting a potential transition from sliding friction to rolling one during the rock deformation process. This transition is crucial for many tribological processes in geo- logical fields. | SUN Yan SHU LiangShu LU XianCai LIU Hao ZHANG XiHui K. | 3 | Advanced chemical strategies for lithium-sulfur batteries: A review显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S) battery has been considered as one of the most promising rechargeable batteries among various energy storage devices owing to the attractive ultrahigh theoretical capacity and low cost. However, the performance of Li-S batteries is still far from theoretical prediction because of the inherent insulation of sulfur, shuttling of soluble polysulfides, swelling of cathode volume and the formation of lithium dendrites. Significant efforts have been made to trap polysulfides via physical strategies using carbon based materials, but the interactions between polysulfides and carbon are so weak that the device performance is limited. Chemical strategies provide the relatively complemented routes for improving the batteries' electrochemical properties by introducing strong interactions between functional groups and lithium polysulfides. Therefore, this review mainly discusses the recent advances in chemical absorption for improving the performance of Li-S batteries by introducing functional groups(oxygen, nitrogen, and boron, etc.) and chemical additives(metal, polymers, etc.) to the carbon structures, and how these foreign guests immobilize the dissolved polysulfides. | Xiaojing Fan Wenwei Sun Fancheng Meng Aiming Xing Jiehua Liu | 2018 | Green Energy & Environment2018,3,1: | 7
Recent progress in studies layer in rock on the nano-sized particle shear planes显示文摘Since the 1990s, an ultramicro-particle texture in nano- or micron-sized scale has been continually found in shear planes of various rocks, and recently further progress was made in generic physical mechanisms. In this article, the characteristics of the nano-sized particle layer in rock shear planes (including widespread distribution, layering texture, non-linear genetic mechanism, and multiple functions) on an ultra micro-scale were briefly introduced and more information was obtained by analyzing cases from home and abroad. Our findings suggest that (1) there is a paragenetic relationship between the development of shear frictional- viscous and the formation of nano-sized particles, and (2) in the shear movement, partitioning, segregating, and layering in rocks are initiated by the sliding motion of the nano-sized particle layer. Moreover, the plastic rheology of rocks is essentially the move- ment of ultra-micro-sized particles (nano-size and micro-size), and the nano-sized particle layer in rock shear planes is characterized by some particular physical and chemical effects. | Yan Sun Liangshu Shu Xiancai Lu Hao Liu Xihui Zhang Aiming Lin Kazuo Kosaka | 2008 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,4: | 7
Nano-texture of penetrative foliation in metamorphic rocks显示文摘By observing four samples obtained from Jiangxi Province, China, under the scanning electron mi-croscope (SEM), we discovered that nano-particle layers were commonly formed on sliding planes of the penetrative foliation in metamorphic rocks. We also successfully reproduced this phenomenon with a tri-axial pressure experiment. Having gone through the granulitization-alienation-partition in the shear sliding process, the nano-particles (40-95 nm in diameter) display different individual shapes and dis-tinct layered textures. This nano-confinement layer is essentially a frictional-viscous stripe with vis-cous-elastic deformation. In the micro-domain stripe, activities in structural stress field-rheological physical field-geochemical field are very dynamic, corresponding to the three stages (i.e., shear sliding strengthening-weakening-exfoliating) of the foliation development in metamorphism rocks. As such, the viscous-elastic deformation behavior helps shed light on the understanding of the micro-dynamic mechanism of the structural shearing. | SUN Yan LU XianCai ZHANG XiHui LIU Hao LIN AiMing | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,12: | 5

The evolving species concepts used for yeasts:from phenotypes and genomes to speciation networks显示文摘Here we review how evolving species concepts have been applied to understand yeast diversity.Initially,a phenotypic species concept was utilized taking into consideration morphological aspects of colonies and cells, and growth profiles.Later the biological species concept was added, which applied data from mating experiments.Biophysical measurements of DNA similarity between isolates were an early measure that became more broadly applied with the advent of sequencing technology, leading to a sequence-based species concept using comparisons of parts of the ribosomal DNA.At present phylogenetic species concepts that employ sequence data of rDNA and other genes are universally applied in fungal taxonomy, including yeasts, because various studies revealed a relatively good correlation between the biological species concept and sequence divergence. The application of genome information is becoming increasingly common, and we strongly recommend the use of complete, rather than draft genomes to improve our understanding of species and their genome and genetic dynamics.Complete genomes allow in-depth comparisons on the evolvability of genomes and, consequently,of the species to which they belong.Hybridization seems a relatively common phenomenon and has been observed in all major fungal lineages that contain yeasts.Note that hybrids may greatly differ in their post-hybridization development.Future in-depth studies, initially using some model species or complexes may shift the traditional species concept as isolated clusters of genetically compatible isolates to a cohesive speciation network in which such clusters are interconnected by genetic processes, such as hybridization. | Teun Boekhout M.Catherine Aime Dominik Begerow Toni Gabaldón Joseph Heitman Martin Kemler Kantarawee Khayhan Marc-AndréLachance Edward J.Louis Sheng Sun Duong Vu Andrey Yurkov | 2021 | Fungal Diversity2021,,4: | 0
