4A high resolution lithospheric magnetic field model over China显示文摘CHAMP satellite data and ground-based magnetic observations are used and combined to map the lithospheric magnetic field over China by means of the revised spherical cap harmonic analysis(R-SHCA)modeling technique.The magnetic field is described to a spatial resolution of 150 km at the mean Earth’s radius,which represents a good compromise between the resolutions afforded by surface and satellite data.We compare the magnetic anomalies modeled at the regional scale with composite regions containing large-scale of tectonic structures.These regions,including the Tarim Basin and the Tibetan Plateau,are correlated with regional magnetic anomalies at satellite altitude but contain a significant number of small-scale and complex magnetic structures at the mean Earth’s radius.These magnetic anomalies are globally consistent with the known geological features in China but also offer a way to delineate the contours of the geological blocks and to discuss the connection between magnetic anomalies and the heat flow distribution in this region.OU JiaMing DU AiMin E.THBAULT XU WenYao TIAN XiaoBo ZHANG TieLong 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,10:7
5Fat cell-secreted adiponectin mediates physical exercise-induced hippocampal neurogenesis: an alternative anti-depressive treatment?显示文摘Psychological depression is drawing accumulating attention nowadays, due to the skyrocketing incidence worldwide and the enormous burdens it incurs. Physical exercise has been long recognized for its therapeutic effects on depressive disorders, although knowledge of the underlying mechanisms remains limited. Suppressed hippocampal neurogenesis in adult brains has been regarded, at least partly, contributive to depression, whereas physical exercise that restores neurogenesis accordingly exerts the anti-depressive action. Several recent publications have suggested the potential role of adiponectin, a protein hormone secreted by peripheral mature adipocytes, in mediating physical exercise-triggered enhancement of hippocampal neurogenesis and alleviation of depression. 7Design System of the Two-step Gear Reducer on Case-based Reasoning显示文摘The design of the two-step gear reducer is a tedious and time-consuming process.For the purpose of improving the efficiency and intelligence of design process,case-based reasoning(CBR) technology was applied to the design of the two-step gear reducer.Firstly,the current design method for the two-step gear reducer was analyzed and the principle of CBR was described.Secondly,according to the characteristics of the reducer,three key technologies of CBR were studied and the corresponding methods were provided,which are as follows:(a) an object-oriented knowledge representation method,(b) a retrieval method combining the nearest neighbor with the induction indexing,and(c) a case adaptation algorithm combining the revision based on rule with artificial revision.Also,for the purpose of improving the credibility of case retrieval,a new method for determining the weights of characteristics and a similarity formula were presented,which is a combinatorial weighting method with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and roughness set theory.Lastly,according to the above analytic results,a design system of the two-step gear reducer on CBR was developed by VC++,UG and Access 2003.A new method for the design of the two-step gear reducer is provided in this study.If the foregoing developed system is applied to design the two-step gear reducer,design efficiency is improved,which enables the designer to release from the tedious design process of the gear reducer so as to put more efforts on innovative design.The study result fully reflects the feasibility and validity of CBR technology in the process of the design of the mechanical parts.JI Aimin HUANG Quansheng XU Huanmin CHEN Zhengming 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,5:6

10The FGF21-adiponectin axis in controlling energy and vascular homeostasis显示文摘Whole-body energy metabolism and cardiovascular homeostasis are tightly controlled processes that involve highly coordinated crosstalk among distal organs.This is mainly achieved by a large number of hormones released from each organ.Among them,fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21)and adiponectin have recently gained considerable attention,since both of them possess multiple profound protective effects against a myriad of cardio-metabolic disorders.Despite their distinct structuresand production sites,these two hormones share striking functional similarity.This dichotomy is recently reconciled by the demonstration of the FGF21-adiponectin axis.In adipocytes,both transcription and secretion of adiponectin are strongly induced by FGF21,which is partially dependent on PPARg activity.Furthermore,the glucose-lowering,lipid-clearing,and anti-atherosclerotic functions of FGF21 are diminished in adiponectin-null mice,suggesting that adiponectin serves as an obligatory mediator of FGF21-elicited metabolic and vascular benefits.However,in both animals and human subjects with obesity,circulating FGF21 levels are increased whereas plasma adiponectin concentrations are reduced,perhaps due to FGF21 resistance,suggesting that dysfunctional FGF21-adiponectin axis is an important contributor to the pathogenesis of obesity-related cardio-metabolic syndrome.The FGF21-adiponectin axis protects against a cluster of cardio-metabolic disorders via mediating multi-organ communications,and is a promising target for therapeutic interventions of these chronic diseases.Xiaoyan Hui Tianshi Feng Qing Liu Yuan Gao Aimin Xu 2016Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2016,8,2:4

12Nightside field-aligned current during the April 6,2000 superstorm显示文摘Using the east-west geomagnetic disturbance fields observed from stations at mid-latitudes,we investigate the characteristics of field-aligned currents on the nightside during the April 6,2000 superstorm.The results indicate that there is an eastward disturbance on the nightside of Northern Hemisphere during the main phase of magnetic storm,while the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF)is continued southward.The positive disturbances in the postmidnight are larger than that in the premidnight.This suggests that upward field-aligned currents develop on the nightside,when the IMF is directed southward.The peak of upward fieldaligned currents is located in postmidnight,and it will be more obvious at substorm expansion.We get the conclusion that both partial ring current and region-2 field-aligned current shift to dusk sector.The upward region-2 current is decreased at substorm onset,and intensified after it.We also investigate the relationship between the upward field-aligned currents on the nightside and the auroral electrojets at high latitudes.It shows a good correspondence between region-2 current and the westward electrojet in the postmidnight.We suppose that they are both associated with the convection electric field.WANG Yuan HONG MingHua CHEN GengXiong XU WenYao DU AiMin ZHAO XuDong LIU XiaoCan LUO Hao 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,20:3

15Energy budget of the magnetosphere-ionosphere system in solar Cycle 23显示文摘The energy budget of the magnetosphere-ionosphere (MI) system during 1998-2008 was examined by using Akasofu's epsilon function. The results showed that 1) the yearly average rate of solar wind energy input into the MI system was 4.51 GGJ (GGJ=1018 J), while the yearly average total dissipation was 4.30 GGJ; 2) the energy partitioning in the ring current and polar region was 56%:44%; 3) the energy input and dissipation processes continuously proceeded both in storm-substorm events and less disturbed intervals, suggesting the significant contribution of slow but long-lasting energy process during the less disturbance periods to the total energy budget. In addition, we found in this study an interesting phenomenon 'self-adjustment ability' of the MI system which behaves just like a water reservoir. During solar active years, the input energy is more than the dissipated energy, implying that a portion of the input energy is not immediately released, but is stored in the magnetosphere. 16Growth Mechanism,Modified Morphology and Optical Properties of Coral-like BaTiO_3 Architecture through CTAB Assisted Synthesis显示文摘Three-dimensional hierarchical structure coral-like BaTiO3 nanoparticles have been self-assembled by a facile one step hydrothermal method. Cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),Ba(OH)2·8H2O and tetrabutyl titanate have been used as precursors. The prepared Ba TiO3 exhibits cubic perovskite phase at room temperature,and the coral-like architecture is a micro-nano hiberarchy consisted of dendrimer-like structure and trunk-like structure. By adjusting the hydrothermal duration and the precursor substances,a surfactant induced mechanism is proposed to understand the self-assembly process. UV-vis measurement demonstrates that the as-prepared Ba TiO3 nanoparticles exhibit dozens of times overwhelming absorptive character compared to the ordinary nanospheres at ultraviolet band,which is benefited from the coral-like porous framework. Moreover,halogen anions( F,Cl,Br,and I) have been chosen to adjust the coral-like Ba TiO3 physical properties. Results show the halogen doping produces distinct modulation effect on the grain size,UV-vis absorbance and photoluminescence properties of the materials. 17Methylesterification of cell-wall pectin controls the diurnal flower-opening times in rice显示文摘Flowers are the core reproductive organ of plants, and flowering is essential for cross-pollination. Diurnal flower-opening time is thus a key trait influencing reproductive isolation, hybrid breeding, and thermostability in plants. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling this trait remain unknown. Here, we report that rice Diurnal Flower Opening Time 1 (DFOT1) modulates pectin methylesterase (PME) activity to regulate pectin methylesterification levels of the lodicule cell walls, which affect lodicule swelling to control diurnal flower-opening time. DFOT1 is specifically expressed in the lodicules, and its expression gradually increases with the approach to flowering but decreases with flowering. Importantly, a knockout of DFOT1 showed earlier diurnal flower opening. We demonstrate that DFOT1 interacts directly with multiple PMEs to promote their activity. Knockout of PME40 also resulted in early diurnal flower opening, whereas overexpression of PME42 delayed diurnal flower opening. Lower PME activity was observed to be associated with higher levels of pectin methylesterification and the softening of cell walls in lodicules, which contribute to the absorption of water by lodicules and cause them to swell, thus promoting early diurnal flower opening. Higher PME activity had the opposite effect. The SA evolution on a short time scale is associated with the phenomenon of the geomagnetic jerk. More details of the global extent and the occurrence time of the successive jerks(the 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2011 jerks) are obtained. The location, size and reversed polarity pattern for the 1999 jerk are similar to those for the 2003 jerk in the Asian-Indian sector. While the 2007 and 2011 jerks mainly take place in the Atlantic sector. The direction and speed of the shift for the four jerks are different, identified by the occurrence time of the jerks. The zonal motions of the SA patches exhibit an oscillation pattern in the Asian-Indian sector, whereas a purely westward drifting pattern is along the equator in the Atlantic sector.
