| 1 | Understanding Brown Planthopper Resistance in Rice: Genetics, Biochemical and Molecular Breeding Approaches显示文摘Brown planthopper(BPH,Nilaparvata lugens St自I)is the most devastating pest of rice in Asia and causes significant yield loss annually.Around 37 BPH resistance genes have been identified so far in indica,African rice varieties along with wild germplasms such as Oryza officinalis,O.minuta,O.nivara,O.punctata,O.rufipogon and O,latifolia.Genes/QTLs involved in BPH resistance,including Bph1,bph2/BPH26,Bph3,Bph6,bph7,BPH9,Bph12,Bph14,Bph15,Bph17,BPH18,bph19,Bph20,Bph21(t),Bph27,Bph27©Bph28(t),BPH29,QBph3,QBph4,QBph4.2,Bph30,Bph32,Bph33,Bph35 and Bph36,have been fine-mapped by different researchers across the globe.The majority of genes/QTLs are located on rice chromosomes 1,3,4,6,11 and 12.Rice plants respond to BPH attack by releasing various endogenous metabolites like proteinase inhibitors,callose,secondary metabolites(terpenes,alkaloids,flavonoid,etc.)and volatile compounds.Besides that,hormonal signal pathways mediating(antagonistic/synergistic)resista nee responses in rice have been well studied.Marker-assisted breedi ng and genome editi ng techniq ues can also be adopted for improving resista nee to novel BPH biotypes. | Lakesh MUDULI Sukanta Kumar PRADHAN Abinash MISHRA Debendra Nath BASTIA Kailash Chandra SAMAL Pawan Kumar AGRAWAL Manasi DASH | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,6: | 2 |

| 18 | Ultra-Wideband Annular Ring Fed Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Millimeter Wave 5G Applications显示文摘In this article an ultra-wideband rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna is designed for millimeter wave 5G frequency band applications.Indoor 5G communications require antenna system with wide bandwidth and high efficiency to enhance the throughput in the channel.To fulfill such requirements a Dielectric Resonator Antenna(DRA)is designed here which has achieved an ultra-wide bandwidth of 20.15%(22.32–27.56 GHz)which is 5.24 GHz of bandwidth centered at 26 GHz as resonating frequency.This covers the complete band 30(24.3–27.5 GHz)of 5G spectrum.26 and 28 GHz are considered as most popular frequencies in millimeter wave 5G communications.The aperture fed DRA designed here has also achieved an efficiency of 96 percentage with maximum radiation in the broadside direction(Phi=0,Theta=0).The measured gain of the DRA is 6.3 dB.The DRA designed here has dimensions of 0.25λ0×0.22λ0×0.12λ0.under the characteristic’s mode.The DRA is placed over a substrate with dimensions 0.5λ0×0.5λ0×0.02λ0.A cross slot aperture has been made on the ground plane which is placed above to the substrate.Here a full ground plane is used to resonate the antenna and is of similar dimension to the substrate.A microstrip line with two concentric rings makes an annular feed structure is used to excite the DRA and is placed below the substrate.The DRA is excited here in characteristics mode TE1Y1 and is the only mode of excitation.The DRA is linearly polarized,and the characteristic mode of excitation is maintained with 50 Ohm input impedance of the antenna.The DRA also gives here a good difference between the co-pol and cross pol approximately 15 to 20 dB.This antenna is more suitable for 5G indoor applications in millimeter wave frequency band centered at 26 GHz. | Abinash Gaya Mohd.Haizal Jamaluddin Ayman A.Althuwayb | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4: | 0 |
| 19 | Heat Transfer in Horizontal Copper Tube Heated by Electric Heating Process显示文摘Heat transfer from electrical and electronics component is essential for better performance of that electrical system,The maximum heat transfer from that system results long period durability.In most of the system base provided for equipments are very small and placed in a very complicated position.so heat transfer by forced convection is not easy for that purpose.The heat transfer by natural convection is the familiar technique used in electronics cooling;there is huge group of apparatus that lends itself to natural convection.This category consist of stand-alone correspondence such as modems and small computers having an array of printed circuit boards(PCB)accumulate within an area.Natural convection heat transfer in heated horizontal duct drive away heat from the interior surface is offered.The duct is open-ended and round in cross section.The test section is heated by provision of heating coils,where constant wall heat flux mentioned.Heat transfer experiment is carried out for channel of 50 mm.internal diameter and 4 mm thickness with length 600 mm.Ratios of length to diameter of the channel are taken as L/D=12.Wall heat fluxes maintained at q//=300 W/m2 to 3150 W/m2.A methodical investigational record for the local steady state natural convection heat transfer activities is obtained.The wall heating condition on local steady-state heat transfer phenomena are studied.The present experimental data is compared with the existing theoretical and experimental results for the cases of vertical smooth tubes. | Ramesh Chandra Nayak Abinash Sahoo Manmatha KRoul Saroj kuSarangi | 2020 | Electrical Science & Engineering2020,2,2: | 0 |
| 20 | Aggregate dust model to study the polarization properties of comet C/1996 B2 Hyakutake显示文摘The observed linear polarization data of comet Hyakutake are studied at wavelengths λ=0.365 μm,λ=0.485 μm and 0.684μm through simulations using Ballistic Particle-Cluster Aggregate and Ballistic Cluster-Cluster Aggregate aggregates of 128 spherical monomers.We first found that the size parameter of the monomer,x ~ 1.56-1.70,turned out to be the most suitable which provides the best fits to the observed dust scattering properties at three wavelengths:λ=0.365 μm,0.485μm and 0.684μm.Thus,the effective radius of the aggregate (r) lies in the range 0.45 μm≤ r ≤ 0.49 μm at λ=0.365 μm;0.60 μm≤ r ≤ 0.66 μm at λ=0.485 μm and 0.88 μm≤ r ≤ 0.94 μm at λ=0.684 μm.Now using superposition T-MATRIX code and the power-law size distribution,n(r) ~ r-3,the best-fitting values of complex refractive indices are calculated for the observed polarization data at the above three wavelengths.The best-fitting complex refractive indices (n,k) are found to be (1.745,0.095) at λ=0.365 μm,(1.743,0.100) at λ=0.485 μm and (1.695,0.100) at λ=0.684 μm.The refractive indices derived from the present analysis correspond to a mixture of both silicates and organics,which are in good agreement with the in situ measurement of comets by different spacecraft. | Himadri Sekhar Das Abinash Suklabaidya Saonli Datta Majumder Asoke Kumar Sen | 2010 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2010,10,4: | 0 |
