2Changing trends in prevalence of different Plasmodium species with dominance of Plasmodium falciparum malaria infection in Aligarh(India)显示文摘Objective:To determine the prevalence of malaria in Aligarh and analyze species dominance in different years over a decade.Methods:Diagnosis of malaria was done using microscopy as gold standard,rapid antigen detection assays and quantitative buffy coat(QBC) assays.Giemsa stained blood smear examination was done,thick and thin films were examined for presence of different Plasmodium spp.Rapid antigen detection assays employing detection of HRP-2 and parasite lactate dehydrogenase antigen(pLDH) by immunochromatography was done in patients whose blood smear found to be negative by conventional Giemsa slide examination.QBC was done in cases where there is strong clinical suspicion of malaria with blood smear negative,in patients with chronic malaria,splenomegaly,or in those patients who had inadequate treatment and for post-treatment follow up.Results:Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium falciparum were only species detected in our hospital.Overall prevalence of malaria in Aligarh was found to be 8.8%.The maximum prevalence of 20.1%was observed in year 2008 and lowest 2.3%in 2002. Conclusions:High prevalence of malaria is observed in this part of country with dominance of both species particularly Plasmodium falciparum should be monitored and factors accounting for occurrence should be studied to employ effective control measures.Haris M Khan Fatima Shujatullah Mohammad Ashfaq Adil Raza 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,1:1

14Deep Learning-Based Hybrid Intelligent Intrusion Detection System显示文摘Machine learning(ML)algorithms are often used to design effective intrusion detection(ID)systems for appropriate mitigation and effective detection of malicious cyber threats at the host and network levels.However,cybersecurity attacks are still increasing.An ID system can play a vital role in detecting such threats.Existing ID systems are unable to detect malicious threats,primarily because they adopt approaches that are based on traditional ML techniques,which are less concerned with the accurate classication and feature selection.Thus,developing an accurate and intelligent ID system is a priority.The main objective of this study was to develop a hybrid intelligent intrusion detection system(HIIDS)to learn crucial features representation efciently and automatically from massive unlabeled raw network trafc data.Many ID datasets are publicly available to the cybersecurity research community.As such,we used a spark MLlib(machine learning library)-based robust classier,such as logistic regression(LR),extreme gradient boosting(XGB)was used for anomaly detection,and a state-of-the-art DL,such as a long short-term memory autoencoder(LSTMAE)for misuse attack was used to develop an efcient and HIIDS to detect and classify unpredictable attacks.Our approach utilized LSTM to detect temporal features and an AE to more efciently detect global features.Therefore,to evaluate the efcacy of our proposed approach,experiments were conducted on a publicly existing dataset,the contemporary real-life ISCX-UNB dataset.The simulation results demonstrate that our proposed spark MLlib and LSTMAE-based HIIDS signicantly outperformed existing ID approaches,achieving a high accuracy rate of up to 97.52%for the ISCX-UNB dataset respectively 10-fold crossvalidation test.It is quite promising to use our proposed HIIDS in real-world circumstances on a large-scale.Muhammad Ashfaq Khan Yangwoo Kim 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,7:1

17Precise Seismic Substructural Model of the Eocene Chorgali Limestone in the Turkwal Oil Field, Central Potwar, Pakistan显示文摘The precise seismic substructural interpretation of the Turkwal oil field in the Central Potwar region of district Chakwal of Pakistan has been carried out. The research work was confined to the large fore-thrust that serves as an anticlinal structural trap through ten 2 D seismic lines. A precise seismic substructural model of the Eocene Chorgali Limestone with precise orientation of thrust and oblique slip faults shows the presence of a huge fracture, which made this deposit a good reservoir. The abrupt surface changes in dip azimuth for the Eocene Chorgali Limestone verifies the structural trends and also the presence of structural traps in the Turkwal field. The logs of three wells(Turkwal deep X-2, Turkwal-01 and Fimkassar-01) were analyzed for petrophysical studies, well synthetic results and generation of an Amplitude Versus Offset(AVO) model for the area. The AVO model of Turkwal deep X-2 shows abrupt changes in amplitude, which depicts the presence of hydrocarbon content. Well correlation technique was used to define the overall stratigraphic setting and the thickness of the reservoir formation in two wells, Turkwal-01 and Turkwal deep X-2. The Eocene Chorgali Limestone in Turkwal-01 is an upward thrusted anticlinal structure and because of the close position of both wells to the faulted anticlinal structure, its lesser thickness differs compared to Turkwal deep X-2. 19Cardiac Arrhythmia Disease Classication Using LSTM Deep Learning Approach显示文摘Many approaches have been tried for the classication of arrhythmia.Due to the dynamic nature of electrocardiogram(ECG)signals,it is challenging to use traditional handcrafted techniques,making a machine learning(ML)implementation attractive.Competent monitoring of cardiac arrhythmia patients can save lives.Cardiac arrhythmia prediction and classication has improved signicantly during the last few years.Arrhythmias are a group of conditions in which the electrical activity of the heart is abnormal,either faster or slower than normal.It is the most frequent cause of death for both men and women every year in the world.This paper presents a deep learning(DL)technique for the classication of arrhythmias.The proposed technique makes use of the University of California,Irvine(UCI)repository,which consists of a high-dimensional cardiac arrhythmia dataset of 279 attributes.In this research,our goal was to classify cardiac arrhythmia patients into 16 classes depending on the characteristics of the electrocardiography dataset.The DL approach in the form of long short-term memory(LSTM)is an efcient technique to deal with reduced accuracy due to vanishing and exploding gradients in traditional DL frameworks for big data analysis.The goal of this research was to categorize cardiac arrhythmia patients by developing an efcient intelligent system using the LSTM DL algorithm.This approach to arrhythmia classication includes classication algorithms along with noise removal techniques.Therefore,we utilized principal components analysis(PCA)for noise removal,and LSTM for classication.This hybrid comprehensive arrhythmia classication approach performs better than previous approaches to arrhythmia classication.We attained a highest classication accuracy of 93.5%with the DL based disease classication system,and outperformed the earlier approaches used for cardiac arrhythmia classication.Muhammad Ashfaq Khan Yangwoo Kim 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,4:0
205G Antenna Gain Enhancement Using a Novel Metasurface显示文摘This article presents a Sub-6 GHz microstrip patch antenna(MPA)with enhanced gain using metamaterial(MTM)superstrate.The source MPA operates at 4.8 GHz and has a peak gain of 5.3 dBi at the resonance frequency.A window-shaped unit cell is designed and investigated through the material wave propagation technique.The unit cell shows an EpsilonNear Zero(ENZ)-Mu Very Large(MVL)behavior around 4.8 GHz.The unit cell has a fourfold geometry which makes it a polarization independent metamaterial.A double layer antenna is designed by placing a 4×4 MTM slab as a superstrate above the MPA at a height of 0.208λ0;whereλ0 is the free-space wavelength at the resonance frequency of the antenna.Impedance matching and gain of the source antenna is improved using the metamaterial.The simulation as well as measurement results show that novel antenna system has a peak gain of 7.68 dBi at 4.8 GHz and an impedance bandwidth of 0.22 GHz.The overall dimension of the antenna is 75×60×15 mm^(3).The proposed antenna operates in the Sub-6 GHz band and is suitable for 5G applications.Mubashir Ashfaq Shahid Bashir Syed Imran Hussain Shah Nisar Ahmad Abbasi Hatem Rmili Muhammad Abbas Khan 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,8:0
