2Late Quaternary clay minerals off Middle Vietnam in the western South China Sea: Implications for source analysis and East Asian monsoon evolution显示文摘High-resolution clay mineral records combined with oxygen isotopic stratigraphy over the past 450 ka during late Quaternary from Core MD05-2901 off Middle Vietnam in the western South China Sea are re-ported to reconstruct a history of East Asian monsoon evolution. Variations in Illite, chlorite, and kaolinite contents indicate a strong glacial-interglacial cyclicity, while changes in smectite content present a higher frequency cyclicity. The provenance analysis indicates a mixture of individual clay minerals from various sources surrounding the South China Sea. Smectite derived mainly from the Sunda shelf and its major source area of the Indonesian islands. Illite and chlorite originated mainly from the Mekong and Red rivers. Kaolinite was provided mainly by the Pearl River. Spectral analysis of the kaolin-ite/(illite+chlorite) ratio displays a strong eccentricity period of 100 ka, implying the ice sheet-forced win-ter monsoon evolution; whereas higher frequency changes in the smectite content show an ice sheet-forced obliquity period of 41 ka, and precession periods of 23 and 19 ka and a semi-precession period of 13 ka as well, implying the tropical-forced summer monsoon evolution. The winter monsoon evolution is generally in coherence with the glacial-interglacial cyclicity, with intensified winter monsoon winds during glacials and weakened winter monsoon winds during interglacials; whereas the summer monsoon evolution provides an almost linear response to the summer insolation of low latitude in the Northern Hemisphere, with strengthened summer monsoon during higher insolation and weakened summer monsoon during lower insolation. 3Clay mineral composition and their sources for the fluvial sediments of Taiwan Residents rivers显示文摘Located at the collision boundary between the Philippine Sea Plate and the Eurasian Continental Plate,the island of Taiwan is generally recognized as an important example in the MARGINS Program Science Plan and 'source-to-sink' research because of its high tectonic activity,heavy rainfall and unique geography.Large suspended sediment loads are transported to the adjacent ocean by Taiwan Residents rivers every year,making Taiwan an important source of sediments into the adjacent seas and a natural laboratory for studying the systemic movement of fluvial sediments from source to sink.A detailed study on the clay mineral composition of surface sediments collected from the drainage basins of 12 Taiwan Residents rivers using X-ray diffraction methods was conducted.Our results indicated that the clay mineral assemblages consisted dominantly of illite(approximately 73%) and chlorite(approximately 24%),with lesser abundances of kaolinite(approximately 3%) and even lower levels of smectite from the Danshuei River sediments in northwestern Taiwan.The Jhuoshuei River sediments from western Taiwan contained clay mineral assemblages that consisted of illite(approximately 75%) and chlorite(approximately 25%),but they lacked kaolinite and smectite.In southwestern Taiwan,the clay mineral assemblages were dominated by illite(approximately 75%) and chlorite(approximately 23%),but had a low abundance of kaolinite(generally < 2%) and no smectite.The clay mineral assemblages in eastern Taiwan are obviously different from those in western parts of the island.The most noticeable difference is that the average abundance of chlorite in the Hualien River from eastern Taiwan was the highest(approximately 48%) of all the Taiwan Residents rivers.We concluded that,in general,the clay mineral assemblages in Taiwan Residents rivers were mainly composed of illite and chlorite with kaolinite and smectite being scarce,and these trends are different from those in China's mainland rivers.The clay mineral composition shown in this study was primarily determined by the properties of the bedrock,and the differential weathering intensities of the drainage area.The surface sediments in Taiwan's rivers showed a greater abundance of illite and chlorite because the outcropped rocks were mainly composed of Tertiary sedimentary rocks,especially sandstone,shale and slate,and show strong physical weathering.The relatively high relief and more abundant rainfall also caused the clay minerals in the fluvial sediments to be transported to the estuaries down rivers from the mountains and then delivered to the adjacent seas by currents and waves over a shorter time scale.LI ChuanShun SHI XueFa KAO ShuhJi CHEN MinTe LIU YanGuang FANG XiSheng LUE HuaHua ZOU JianJun LIU ShengFa QIAO ShuQing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,6:23
4A high-resolution clay mineralogical record in the northern South China Sea since the Last Glacial Maximum,and its time series provenance analysis显示文摘High-resolution clay mineralogical analysis of Core MD05-2904 in the northern South China Sea(SCS) covering the period since the Last Glacial Maximum shows that illite(29%-48%),smectite(14%-45%),chlorite(17%-28%),and minor kaolinite(6%-14%) comprise the clay mineral assemblage,and that time series variation does not present glacial-interglacial cyclicity.Provenance analysis indicates three end-member sources:almost all smectite derives from Luzon,all kaolinite is sourced from the Pearl River,and illite and chlorite originate from both the Pearl River and Taiwan.By comparing clay mineral compositions in surface sediments from the three major source areas and of the SCS,we reconstructed a time series of clay mineral contribution from the major provenances to the northern slope of the SCS using the linear separation method for illite crystallinity.There were three stages of provenance change.(1) During 24.1-17.5 ka BP,contributions from Taiwan and Luzon were similar(30%-40%),while that from the Pearl River was only 25%.(2) During 17.5-14.0 ka BP,the contribution from Luzon decreased rapidly to 20%-25%,while that from Taiwan increased to 35% from an average of 25% at 18 ka BP,and that from the Pearl River increased largely to 40%.(3) During the Holocene,differences in contributions from the three major provenances increased:the contribution from Luzon increased slightly and then remained at 27%-35%,that from Taiwan increased rapidly and then remained at 55%-60%,and that from the Pearl River decreased to 15%.The change in clay mineral contributions from different provenances is influenced mainly by clay mineral production,monsoon rainfall denudation,oceanic current transport,and sea-level change.LIU ZhiFei LI XiaJing COLIN Christophe GE HuangMin 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35:20
5南海沉积物中蒙脱石的成因探讨显示文摘南海粘土沉积学的以往研究都认为粘土矿物主要是陆源碎屑提供,包括蒙脱石在内的粘土矿物都是在周边流域经风化作用形成后输入到南海,再经不同洋流的搬运作用而发生沉积,忽略粘土矿物在海底的自生成岩作用及海底火山物质原地风化作用的影响。然而,南海表层及晚第四纪沉积物中蒙脱石含量过高(达到30%~40%以上),似乎同周边流域沉积物的供给能力相矛盾。研究认为,南海蒙脱石有两种最可能的潜在来源或成因:1)主要是陆源碎屑提供,粘土矿物被输入到海洋环境后发生的差异沉降和分选作用可能大幅度提高蒙脱石的相对含量;2)海底火山物质的原地化学风化作用,基性火山喷发物质容易在海水作用下原地风化成自生蒙脱石。文章建议在南海粘土沉积学的未来研究中,加强调查粘土矿物的差异沉降和分选作用以及火山灰的原地风化作用,在理论和机制上研究南海蒙脱石的成因。刘志飞 李夏晶 2011第四纪研究2011,31,2:20
6兰州盆地永登剖面晚古新世—早渐新世沉积物中粘土矿物的特征及其古气候指示意义显示文摘采用X射线衍射、扫描电镜分析方法,对兰州盆地永登剖面晚古新世—早渐新世沉积物中粘土矿物的相对含量、伊利石结晶度、显微形貌及其古气候意义进行深入研究。结果表明:晚古新世—早渐新世沉积物中粘土矿物主要为伊利石、蒙脱石、绿泥石和少量的坡缕石,其中伊利石的含量最高,而且从晚古新世到早渐新世,沉积物中伊利石的含量呈明显升高的趋势,蒙脱石则呈明显减少的趋势;在大约55 Ma处伊利石含量急剧减小,而蒙脱石含量急剧增大。此外,可见到毛发状的自生坡缕石沿蒙脱石晶片边缘交代生长,而碎屑成因的坡缕石则主要呈破碎的短棒状。粘土矿物分布特征表明,兰州盆地晚古新世—早渐新世的古气候以干旱为主导,并且经历了由相对温暖湿润到半干旱半湿润或干旱炎热的转变,这种气候转型主要受全球气候的影响,即受行星风系的控制;而在大约55 Ma处伊利石、蒙脱石的含量变化则记录了全球性的PETM事件。邓焰平 洪汉烈 殷科 徐耀明 杜鹃 张克信 2010现代地质2010,24,4:17
7Clay mineral distribution in surface sediments of the South China Sea and its significance for in sediment sources and transport显示文摘Clay minerals of surface sediments in the South China Sea (SCS) are analyzed with X-ray diffraction, and their transport is explored with a grain size trend analysis (GSTA) model. Results show that clay mineral types in various sedimentary environments have different sediment sources and transport routes. Sediments in the northern SCS (north of 20°N) between the southwest of Taiwan Island and the outer mouth of the Pearl River have high contents of illite and chlorite, which are derived mainly from sediments on Taiwan Island and/or the Yangtze River. Sediments from the Pearl River are characterized by high kaolinite and low smectite content, and most are distributed in the area between the mouth of the Pearl River and northeast of Hainan Island and transported vertically from the continental shelf to the slope. Characterized by high illite content, sediments from Kalimantan Island are transported toward the Nansha Trough. Sediments from Luzon Island are related with volcanic materials, and are transported westwards according to smectite distribution. On the Sunda Shelf, sediments from the Mekong River are transported southeast in the north while sediments from the Indonesian islands are transported northward in the south. 9沉积物中X射线衍射物相定量分析中的两种方法对比研究显示文摘沉积物中X射线衍射(XRD)物相定量方法的选择和如何提高定量分析的精度一直是地学XRD定量研究的难点问题。本文针对沉积物中常见矿物组合特征,设计了一系列条件实验,比较了MacDiff的面积积分法(PAI法)和Highscore的强度参比法(RIR法)定量分析方法的优缺点。结果表明两种方法计算结果基本一致,但也各有优缺点。其中RIR法对衍射峰矮而宽的矿物定量更准确,PAI法则更适用于衍射峰尖锐的矿物以及含四种以上矿物、衍射峰重叠的样品,MacDiff的PAI方法分析过程不需要其他参数,误差较少,重现性好,而且全谱拟合还能部分消除择优取向的影响,可为沉积物XRD矿物相定量分析提供可靠数据。林伟伟 宋友桂 2017地球环境学报2017,8,1:13
10Paleoenvironmental records from the northern South China Sea since the Last Glacial Maximum显示文摘Core ZHS-176 contains the paleoenvironmental records from the northern South China Sea (NSCS) since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). A coupled approach based on clay mineral assemblages, planktonic foraminiferal oxygen and carbon isotopes, and calcium carbonate content is used to trace the sources of the fine-grained sediment and to investigate the paleoenviornmental evolution in this area. Clay mineral assemblages are dominated by illite (average about 39%) and chlorite (about 27%), which comes mainly from Taiwan and the East China Sea. Kaolinite, which accounts for about 13%, comes mainly from the Zhujiang (Pearl) River, and Luzon Island is the main source for smectite (about 21%). The planktonic foraminiferal oxygen isotopic oscillations during the last glacial period are coeval with climate variations recorded in the Greenland ice core and Western Pacific sediment. These variations include the LGM, Heinrich event 1, Bφlling-Allerφd (B/A), and Younger Dryas. For the Holocene, three periods of strong precipitation (S1-S3) and three periods of weak precipitation (W1-W3) are identified. The oxygen isotopic record exhibits corre-lation with climate records from distant regions, including the high-latitude Northern Hemisphere, providing evidence for global tele-connection among regional climate. A brief, negative planktonic foraminiferal carbon isotopic excursion during B/A reflects increased methane released from marine gas hydrate due to the rapid warming of the water. 11南海北部和海南岛附近海域表层沉积物中有机质的分布和降解状态的差异显示文摘利用气相色谱法对南海北部和海南岛附近海域表层沉积物中正构烷烃(n-alkanes)和脂肪酸进行测定和分析,结合粒径、比表面积(specific surface area,SSA)、有机碳(OC%)、碳稳定同位素(δ^(13)C)等参数研究有机物来源和降解状态,并对其影响因素进行分析。研究结果表明:沉积物主要以粉砂为主,平均粒径分布范围在10.97—517.21μm之间,选取的16个站位的比表面积平均值为8.05m^2/g,最大值是S23站位的24.46m^2/g,最小值是S29站位的1.73m^2/g,OC%含量在0.15—1.18之间,δ^(13)C值为–23.05‰—–21.24‰。沉积物中正构烷烃碳链的分布范围是nC_(14)—nC_(33),低碳数峰群以nC_(16)、nC_(18)为主峰碳且具有偶碳数优势,高碳数峰群以nC_(29)为主峰碳。脂肪酸的碳数分布范围是nC_(14)—nC_(30),低碳数单峰型分布,短链饱和脂肪酸(short chain saturated fatty acids,SCSFA)和单不饱和脂肪酸(monounsaturated fatty acids,MUFA)的含量占总脂肪酸含量的70%以上,长链饱和脂肪酸(long chain saturated fatty acids,LCSFA)的含量不到10%,据此说明这两个区域有机质均以海源输入为主。在有机物保存和降解方面,海南岛附近海域有机质载荷(OC/SSA)和δ^(13)C之间的正相关,表现了良好的陆源和海源的有机物更替,但是珠江口附近海域系列样品却未见相似过程。不仅在物源更替方面,在有机质降解特征上珠江口附近海域中的有机物与海南岛附近海域和南海陆架深水区也有很大的差别。海南岛附近海域和南海陆架深水区有机质的降解符合一般规律,随着水深的增加降解程度逐渐变大,然而珠江口附近海域随着水深的增加有机质却越来越'新鲜'。结合前人对珠江口附近海域黏土矿物组成的研究,本文认为珠江口附近海域沉积物中有机质之所以会出现上述'异常'可能是因为该研究区域黏土矿物对有机质选择性吸附所导致。曹梦莉 马倩倩 吴莹 张经 2017海洋与湖沼2017,48,2:8

13Dispersal of the Zhujiang River(Pearl River) derived sediment in the Holocene显示文摘High-resolution Chirp profiling and coring reveals an elongated(ca. 400 km) Holocene Zhujiang River(Pearl River)-derived mud area(maximum thickness > 20 m) extending from the Zhujiang River Delta, southwestward off the Guangdong coast, to the Leizhou Peninsula. Two depo-centers, one proximal and one distal, are identified. On the continental shelf off the west Guangdong Province, the mud is deposited in water depth shallower than 50 m; while to the southeast of the Zhujiang River Estuary, the mud area can extend to the-120 m isobath. A combined analysis with the stratigraphic sequences of other muddy deposits in the Western Pacific marginal seas(mainly Changjiang(Yangtze) and Huanghe(Yellow) Rivers derived) indicates that the initiation of the Zhujiang River muddy deposit can be further divided into two stages: Stage 1 is before the mid-Holocene sea-level highstand(ca. 7.0 cal. ka BP), the proximal mud was mostly deposited after 9.0 cal. ka BP, when the sea-level rose slowly after the Meltwater Pulse-1C; Stage 2, after the mid-Holocene sealevel highstand, clinoform developed on the continental shelf off the west Guangdong Province, extending ca. 400 km from the Zhujiang River Estuary. The proximal clinoform thins offshore, from ca. 10 m thickness around 5–10 m water depth to less than 1–2 m around 20–30 m water depth. 14北部湾东部海域表层沉积物常量元素地球化学特征及其物源指示意义显示文摘对南海北部湾东部海域61个站位表层沉积物的常量元素分析结果表明,研究区沉积物中的常量元素以SiO2、Al2O3和CaO含量最高,平均含量分别为61.83%、11.18%和5.32%,其中SiO2、Al2O3代表了陆源碎屑组分,CaO代表了生物碎屑组分。沉积物中常量元素的含量与沉积物类型密切相关,表明元素的丰度受沉积物粒度控制明显;而元素较低的富集系数,指示沉积物中的碎屑物质主要为地壳来源。元素相关分析和R型因子分析表明,沉积作用、粒度效应、海洋生物作用和自生作用等,对沉积物中常量元素的分布起着主要控制作用。在因子分析基础上,应用Q型聚类法并综合元素空间分布规律和富集特征,把研究区分为六个地球化学分区:Ⅰ区沉积物主要来源于北部湾北部的河流输砂和近岸侵蚀物;Ⅱ区为琼州海峡东侧来砂、昌化江以及红河等其他河流输砂以及北部湾周边近岸侵蚀物的混合沉积;Ⅲ区主要为红河输砂;Ⅳ区沉积物主要来源于海南岛西部和南部近岸侵蚀物,另外海洋生物活动和自生作用也是该区沉积物的重要物质来源;Ⅴ区和Ⅵ区为北部湾湾内沉积物与外海沉积物共同作用下的混合沉积,其中Ⅵ区部分海域的沉积物受到自生作用影响。崔振昂 甘华阳 刘文涛 张亮 2015物探化探计算技术2015,37,4:6
15西昆仑山前陆盆地粘土矿物特征及其地质意义显示文摘为重建西昆仑山地区晚新生代的地质构造及环境演变过程,本文利用X射线衍射(XRD)及扫描电子显微分析(SEM)方法,对西昆仑山前陆盆地(叶城盆地)该时期沉积的一套磨拉石建造中的粘土矿物进行了研究。结果表明,在整个晚中新世到早更新世的沉积物地层中,粘土矿物的种类始终以伊利石和蒙脱石为主,含少量的绿泥石和高岭石。但伊利石、蒙脱石、高岭石的相对含量,以及伊利石结晶度值等均显示出明显的变化。在8~3.5 Ma B.P.期间,伊利石相对含量值和结晶度值均比较高,而蒙脱石相对含量低,并有少量的高岭石产出;在3.5~3.3 Ma B.P.期间,伊利石相对含量值和伊利石结晶度值均急剧降低,而相反,蒙脱石相对含量值急剧升高,高岭石基本消失;3.3~2.8 Ma B.P.期间沉积物的粘土矿物参数与8~3.5 Ma B.P.时期的粘土矿物参数非常接近;而2.8~1.8 Ma B.P.期间沉积物的粘土矿物参数则与3.5~3.3 Ma B.P.期间的粘土矿物参数相类似。根据沉积物中的粘土矿物特征变化规律可以推断,物源区母岩成分的变化是粘土矿物特征变化的主要原因,古气候古环境变化则是次要影响因素。粘土矿物特征的变化规律显示西昆仑山体在晚新生代具有不均匀的阶段性隆升的特点,在3.5 Ma B.P.、3.3 Ma B.P.、2.8 Ma B.P.左右分别发生了三次明显的构造隆升事件,而且总伴随着风化母岩成分的变化。物源区在早更新世中期(12.5 Ma B.P.)很可能处于干旱的古气候古环境中。徐耀明 洪汉烈 何雅娟 2010沉积学报2010,28,4:6

17Distribution and dispersal pattern of clay minerals in surface sediments,eastern Beibu Gulf,South China Sea显示文摘Clay minerology of sediments are useful in determining distribution,sources and dispersal routes of fine-grained sediments.In the present paper,clay minerals of surface sediments throughout the eastern part of Beibu Gulf has been investigated to reveal sources and transport of detrital finegrained sediments.Four distinct clay mineral suites were observed from cluster analysis of clay mineral compositions of the samples.From the distribution pattern of clay minerals,we conclude that kaolinte in the eastern gulf is mainly derived from South China Landmass;Smectite could not be transported mainly by surface current from north-western Hainan Island,and maybe minor portion of it from Red River;Illite is mainly transported by the currents from South China Sea.Chlorite has two sources,namely South China Sea and South China Landmass.The Zhujiang River derived sediments could not be one of the sources for the clay mineral here,because of very different composition and ratios.The distribution pattern of clay minerals in the eastern Beibu Gulf is mainly controlled by fine-grained sediment source and local currents.The Silt/Clay,Smectite/Kaolinte,and Smetite/(Chlorite+Illite) ratios could be used as indicators of fine-grained sediment dispersal in the gulf.LI Jun GAO Jianhua WANG Yaping LI Yan BAI Fenglong CEES Laban 2012Acta Oceanologica Sinica2012,31,2:6
18中全新世以来琼东南陆架粘土矿物特征及物质来源显示文摘以往针对南海北部陆架沉积物物质来源的诸多研究,在一定程度上忽略了海南岛物质的影响。基于柱状沉积物样品的岩性、粒度、粘土矿物和 AMS14 C 年代分析,探讨了琼东南陆架沉积区 X2站沉积物的物质来源。结果表明,X2站沉积物可划分为上、下两段,下段(Ⅰ,240-120 cm)主要为粘土质粉砂,上段(Ⅱ,120-0 cm)主要为粉砂质砂。粘土矿物主要由伊利石和高岭石组成,含有少量绿泥石和蒙脱石。对比分析显示,伊利石和绿泥石可能主要来自于珠江和台湾岛;高岭石可能主要来源于海南岛和珠江,蒙脱石主要来自于近源的雷琼地区,即海南岛物源对南海北部陆架西段具有一定的影响。近4 ka 以来,X2站沉积物的明显变粗和高岭石含量逐渐增高,说明海南物质的输入增强,这可能是由于近4 ka 以来的气候变化或者人类活动增强所致。田旭 徐方建 吴淑壮 张晋 郭晨 董江 2015地球科学(中国地质大学学报)2015,40,9:6
19南海陆坡晚第四纪沉积物磁化率的对比及其古海洋学意义显示文摘对南海西沙群岛附近陆坡、南海南部陆坡以及东沙群岛附近陆坡晚第四纪磁化率变化特征进行了综合对比,并初步分析了磁化率与碳酸钙百分含量之间的关系。就磁化率变化特征而言,西沙群岛附近陆坡和南海南部陆坡可归为一个单元,东沙群岛附近陆坡划为另一单元,其中,前一单元晚第四纪磁化率曲线的共性表现为深海氧同位素期次的奇数期向偶数期过渡时期以磁化率峰值为特点,偶数期向奇数期过渡时期以磁化率谷值为特点;后一单元晚第四纪磁化率曲线的共性表现为磁化率曲线大致平行于有孔虫氧同位素曲线。上述两个单元内的磁化率曲线共性都具有地层学意义,但这两个单元内部某些部位的晚第四纪磁化率变化具有地方局限性,不宜当作大范围地层对比的工具。南海陆坡磁化率曲线和碳酸钙百分含量曲线的关系存在镜像和平行两大基本类型,但这两种对应关系未必意味着磁化率和碳酸钙百分含量之间存在着直接的因果联系。南海陆坡磁化率变化的原因很可能与冰期旋回中南海陆源物质通量的变化密切相关,另外,局部海域磁化率还可能严重受沉积物早期成岩作用的影响。张江勇 高红芳 彭学超 张玉兰 王英民 2010海洋地质与第四纪地质2010,30,4:5
20南海北部陆架中全新世沉积记录及古环境意义显示文摘通过分析珠江口外陆架C069孔沉积柱样的粒度、黏土矿物、主量元素及底栖有孔虫,来研究南海北部中全新世晚期古环境演化。4.2 ka前为全新世大暖期后期,气候湿润,珠江口外陆架受大量的珠江淡水影响,导致C069孔位置的水动力条件较强,形成下段粒度较粗的碎屑沉积物,高岭石含量较高,低的MgO/Al2O3比值,以及受冲淡水影响形成的底栖有孔虫。由于受4.2 ka的极冷事件的影响,C069孔上段的沉积环境受珠江冲淡水影响减小,水动力条件减弱,沉积物粒度变细,高岭石含量降低,MgO/Al2O3比值增大,形成正常浅水环境的底栖有孔虫。4.2 ka以后,台湾来源物质的贡献增多,导致沉积物中伊利石和绿泥石的含量增多,伊利石结晶度和化学指数值都明显变小。徐勇航 陈坚 王爱军 李云海 汪卫国 赖志坤 李东义 2012沉积学报2012,30,3:5
