1Optimization and test for spraying parameters of cotton defoliant sprayer显示文摘Boom sprayer is widely used in large farm crops because of its high working efficiency and favorable spraying effect.But there are still some problems in cotton defoliant spraying in Xinjiang,China.Cotton is planted in a high density in Xinjiang,the row space is(10+66)cm,leaves in two adjacent rows are seriously overlapped,the lower leavers are poorly sprayed,so the defoliation effect is poor,and the cotton quality is degraded.To solve this problem and improve the defoliant droplets coverage on the cotton canopy,the original boom spraying was modified,and the spraying pardameters was optimized by the central combination test and design concept of Box-Behnken based on a single-factor test.A quadratic polynomial model of droplets coverage was created by using working parameters including horizontal spraying boom height,hang boom height and nozzles angle as the influential factors and the mean droplets coverage on cotton canopy as the target function,and the effectiveness of mode and interaction of factors were analyzed.The model was optimized and analyzed using the regression analysis method and response surface analysis method of software Design-Expert 7.0.0,and the optimal combination of spraying parameters was obtained.The results showed that the droplets coverage on cotton canopy were influenced by boom height,sprayer height and angled nozzles sequentially from large to small,and the optimal combination of spraying parameters was under horizontal spraying boom height of 134 cm,hang spraying boom height of 27.5 cm and nozzles angle of 21°.The mean droplets coverage of experimental value and predicted value on cotton canopy were 19.6%and 20.43%respectively in such conditions,and the relative error to the estimated value on the model was–4.25%.The research result can provide a reference for further optimizing the spraying parameters of cotton defoliant sprayer.Qin Weicai Xue Xinyu Cui Longfei Zhou Qingqing Xu Zhufeng Chang Feilong 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:9
2Regional moment-independent sensitivity analysis with its applications in engineering显示文摘Traditional Global Sensitivity Analysis(GSA) focuses on ranking inputs according to their contributions to the output uncertainty.However,information about how the specific regions inside an input affect the output is beyond the traditional GSA techniques.To fully address this issue,in this work,two regional moment-independent importance measures,Regional Importance Measure based on Probability Density Function(RIMPDF) and Regional Importance Measure based on Cumulative Distribution Function(RIMCDF),are introduced to find out the contributions of specific regions of an input to the whole output distribution.The two regional importance measures prove to be reasonable supplements of the traditional GSA techniques.The ideas of RIMPDF and RIMCDF are applied in two engineering examples to demonstrate that the regional moment-independent importance analysis can add more information concerning the contributions of model inputs.Changcong ZHOU Chenghu TANG Fuchao LIU Wenxuan WANG Zhufeng YUE 2017Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,3:8
3Inertia Match of a 3-RRR Reconfigurable Planar Parallel Manipulator显示文摘Inertia match of the parallel manipulator means the ratio of the inertial load of the parallel manipulator converted to each actuator shaft and the moment of inertia of the actuator is kept within a reasonable range. Currently there are many studies on parallel manipulators, but few mention inertia parameters and inertia match of parallel manipulators. This paper focuses on the inertia characteristics of the 3-RRR reconfigurable planar parallel manipulator. On the basis of the inverse dynamic formulations deduced with the principle of virtual work, the inertia matrix of the 3-RRR planar parallel manipulator in the actuator space is obtained in algebraic form. Then, by unifying the dimension and averaging diagonal elements of the inertia matrix, the equivalent inertia of the parallel manipulator, which is the inertial load of the parallel manipulator converted to each actuator shaft, is determined. By transforming the inertia problem of the 3-RRR parallel manipulator into that of the serial multi-bar manipulator, the practicality of the equivalent inertia deduced by inverse dynamics is demonstrated. According to the physical meaning of the inertia equation, the manipulator is divided in to three parts. Further analysis is carried out on the contribution of each part to the equivalent inertia and their distributions in the required workspace, revealing that the passive links cannot ignored in calculating the equivalent inertia of the parallel manipulator. Finally, the inertia match for the 3-RRR reconfigurable parallel manipulator under three configurations is accomplished, and reducers are selected. The equivalent inertia calculation and the inertial match results illustrate that the inertia math is a necessary step to the design of the parallel manipulator, and inertia parameters dramatically affect dynamic performances of parallel manipulators. 4Innovation and development of the third-generation hybrid rice technology显示文摘The breeding and large-scale application of hybrid rice contribute significantly to the food supply worldwide.Currently,hybrid seed production uses cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)lines or photoperiod/thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(PTGMS)lines as female parent.Despite huge successes,both systems have intrinsic problems.CMS systems are mainly restricted by the narrow restorer resources that make it difficult to breed superior hybrids,while PTGMS systems are limited by conditional sterility of the male sterile lines that makes the propagation of both PTGMS seeds and hybrid seeds vulnerable to unpredictable climate changes.Recessive nuclear male sterile(NMS)lines insensitive to environmental conditions are widely distributed and are ideal for hybrid rice breeding and production,but the lack of effective ways to propagate the pure NMS lines in a large scale renders it impossible to use them for hybrid rice production.The development of'the third-generation hybrid rice technology'enables efficient propagation of the pure NMS lines in commercial scale.This paper discusses the establishment of'the thirdgeneration hybrid rice technology'and further innovations.This new technology breaks the limitations of CMS and PTGMS systems and will bring a big leap forward in hybrid rice production.Chancan Liao Wei Yan Zhufeng Chen Gang Xie Xing Wang Deng Xiaoyan Tang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,3:7
5Dynamic Response Analysis of Bird Strike on Aircraft Windshield Based on Damage-modified Nonlinear Viscoelastic Constitutive Relation显示文摘Damage-modified nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive equation and failure criterion are introduced and the three-dimensional incremental forms are deduced based on the updated Lagrangian approach. A simple tensile test model and a split Hopkinson pressure bar model are built to verify the accuracy of the subroutine implemented within the non-linear finite element program LS-DYNA. A numerical model of bird strike on windshield is established to study the responses of windshield under three different bird velocities at three sites. The bird is represented by a cylinder with a hemisphere at each end and the contact-impact coupling algorithm is used in this study. 6Atlas Based Kinematic Optimum Design of the Stewart Parallel Manipulator显示文摘Optimum design is a key approach to make full use of potential advantages of a parallel manipulator. The optimum design of multi-parameter parallel manipulators(more than three design parameters), such as Stewart manipulator, relies on analysis based and algorithm based optimum design methods, which fall to be accurate or intuitive. To solve this problem and achieve both accurate and intuition, atlas based optimum design of a general Stewart parallel manipulator is established, with rational selection of design parameters. Based on the defined spherical usable workspace(SUW), primary kinematic performance indices of the Stewart manipulator, involving workspace and condition number are introduced and analyzed. Then, corresponding performance atlases are drawn with the established non-dimensional design space, and impact of joint distribution angles on the manipulator performance is analyzed and illustrated. At last, an example on atlas based optimum design of the Stewart manipulator is accomplished to illustrate the optimum design process, considering the end-effector posture. Deduced atlases can be flexibly applied to both quantitative and qualitative analysis to get the desired optimal design for the Stewart manipulator with respect to related performance requirements. 7Equivalent model of close-packed film cooling holes in nickel-based single crystal cooled blade based on crystallographic theory显示文摘The mechanical properties of nickel-based single crystal thin-walled plate with close-packed film cooling holes were studied based on the equivalent solid material concept. The effective plastic parameters inversion method based on crystallographic theory were proposed. A simplification method for close-packed film cooling hole plates with square and triangular penetration patterns was presented. A large number of finite element analysis results covering different ligament efficiencies and penetration patterns were provided to verify the feasibility of the plastic equivalent principle and simplification method. The results show that the stress–strain curve and resolved shear stresses of simplification models are in consistence with the plate models with close-packed film cooling holes. The equivalent errors of yield strength are all within the error band and the values of equivalent errors are all less than 10%. 8Lectin receptor kinase OsLecRK-S.7 is required for pollen development and male fertility显示文摘Pollen grains are covered by exine that protects the pollen from stress and facilitates pollination.Here we isolated a male sterile mutant s13283 in rice exhibiting aborted pollen with abnormal exine and defective aperture.The mutant gene encodes a novel plasma membrane-localized legume-lectin receptor kinase that we named OsLecRK-S.7.OsLecRK-S.7 was expressed at different levels in all tested tissues and throughout anther development.In vitro kinase assay showed OsLecRK-S.7 capable of autophosporylation.Mutation in s13283(E560K)and mutation of the conserved ATP binding site(K418E)both knocked out the kinase activity.Mass spectrometry showed Thr376,Ser378,Thr386,Thr403,and Thr657 to be the autophosphorylation sites.Mutation of individual autophosphorylation site affected the in vitro kinase activity to different degrees,but did not abolish the gene function in fertility complementation.oslecrk-s.7 mutant plant overexpressing OsLecRK-S.7 recovered male fertility but showed severe growth retardation with reduced number of tillers,and these phenotypes were abolished by E560K or K418E mutation.The results indicated that OsLecRK-S.7 was a key regulator of pollen development.Xiaoqun Peng Menglong Wang Yiqi Li Wei Yan Zhenyi Chang Zhufeng Chen Chunjue Xu Chengwei Yang Xing Wang Deng Jianxin Wu Xiaoyan Tang 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,8:4
9Identification of late-stage pollen-specific promoters for construction of pollen-inactivation system in rice显示文摘Large-scale production of male sterile seeds can be achieved by introducing a fertility-restoration gene linked with a pollen-killer gene into a recessive male sterile mutant.We attempted to construct this system in rice by using a late-stage pollen-specific(LSP)promoter driving the expression of maizeα-amylase gene ZM-AA1.To obtain such promoters in rice,we conducted comparative RNA-seq analysis of mature pollen with meiosis anther,and compared this with the transcriptomic data of various tissues in the Rice Expression Database,resulting in 269 candidate LSP genes.Initial test of nine LSP genes showed that only the most active OsLSP3 promoter could drive ZM-AA1 to disrupt pollen.We then analyzed an additional 22 LSP genes and found 12 genes stronger than OsLSP3 in late-stage anthers.The promoters of OsLSP5 and OsLSP6 showing higher expression than OsLSP3 at stages 11 and 12 could drive ZM-AA1 to inactivate pollen,while the promoter of OsLSP4 showing higher expression at stage 12 only could not drive ZM-AA1 to disrupt pollen,suggesting that strong promoter activity at stage 11 was critical for pollen inactivation.The strong pollen-specific promoters identified in this study provided valuable tools for genetic engineering of rice male sterile system for hybrid rice production.Menglong Wang Wei Yan Xiaoqun Peng Zhufeng Chen Chunjue Xu Jianxin Wu Xing Wang Deng Xiaoyan Tang 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,8:4
10GDSL esterase/lipases OsGELP34 and OsGELP110/OsGELP115 are essential for rice pollen development显示文摘Pollen exine contains complex biopolymers of aliphatic lipids and phenolics.Abnormal development of pollen exine often leads to plant sterility.Molecular mechanisms regulating exine formation have been studied extensively but remain ambiguous.Here we report the analyses of three GDSL esterase/lipase protein genes,OsGELP34,OsGELP110,and OsGELP115,for rice exine for-mation.OsGELP34 was identified by cloning of a male sterile mutant gene.OsGELP34 encodes an endoplasmic reticulum protein and was mainly expressed in anthers during pollen exine formation.osgelp34 mutant displayed abnormal exine and altered expression of a number of key genes required for pollen development.OsGELP110 was previously identified as a gene differentially expressed in meiotic anthers.OsGELP110 was most homologous to OsGELP115,and the two genes showed similar gene expression patterns.Both OsGELP110 and OsGELP115 proteins were localized in peroxisomes.Individual knockout of OsGELP110 and OsGELP115 did not affect the plant fertility,but double knockout of both genes altered the exine structure and rendered the plant male sterile.OsGELP34 is distant from OsGELP110 and OsGELP115 in sequence,and osgelp34 and osgelp110/osgelp115 mutants were different in anther morphology despite both were male sterile.These results suggested that OsGELP34 and OsGELP110/OsGELP115 catalyze different compounds for pollen exine development.Huihui Zhang Menglong Wang Yiqi Li Wei Yan Zhenyi Chang Haoling Ni Zhufeng Chen Jianxin Wu Chunjue Xu Xing Wang Deng Xiaoyan Tang 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10:4
11Nonlinear Parametric Vibration of a Fluid-Conveying Pipe Flexibly Restrained at the Ends显示文摘In this paper,the nonlinear parametric vibration of fluid-conveying pipes flexibly restrained at both ends and subjected to the pulsation flow excitation is investigated.The nonlinear equation of motion is derived using Hamilton^principle by considering the Kevin-Voigt viscoelastic damping,the geometric nonlinearity and the translational and rotational springs supported at the ends.The mode functions and eigen-frequencies are determined by the assumed mode method according to the elastic boundary conditions.The Galerkin method is implemented to obtain the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the pipe conveying fluid with different flow velocities.The effects of flexibly restrained conditions on stability of the pipe are analyzed.The nonlinear responses of the pipe under pulsating flow excitation are solved by the direct numerical method.The vibration behaviors are discussed in details,such as time history,frequency spectrum,phase-plane portrait,Poincare map and motion trajectory.The results show that the responses of sub-harmonic resonance and combination resonance can also be reflected in the rigidly supported pipes.The 1/5,1/8 and 1/13 sub-harmonic resonances can occur at certain excitation frequencies of the nonlinear parametric vibration system.The steady-state response amplitudes increase by a large margin and significantly affect the stability of the pipe.The effects of different spring stiffness coefficients on the parametric resonance responses are presented.For larger translational springs and rotational stiffness coefficients,the resonance frequencies shift to higher regions and the resonance amplitudes may reduce by a certain extent in accordance with the rigid-body motion.This study can provide helpful guidance on the analysis and design of piping systems subject to vibrations.Qian Li Wei Liu Kuan Lu Zhufeng Yue 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,3:4

14Trp_(548)Met mutation of acetolactate synthase in rice confers resistance to a broad spectrum of ALS-inhibiting herbicides显示文摘Herbicide resistance in crop plants is valuable for integrated weed management in agriculture. Herbicide resistant rice, in particular, is important to management of weedy rice, a close relative of cultivated rice and a noxious weed prevalent in rice fields that remains challenging to farmers worldwide. Herbicide resistant plants can be obtained through transgenic approach or by mutagenesis of regular plant and screening of mutants with elevated resistance to herbicide. In this study, we conducted ethyl methyl sulfonate mutagenesis(EMS) to elite indica cultivar Huanghuazhan(HHZ) and screened for mutants resistant to imazapic, a herbicide that can inhibit the acetolactate synthase(ALS) in plants. We obtained three mutants of Os ALS gene that have not been reported previously in rice. One of the mutants, with Trp_(548) changed to Met(W_(548)M), was analyzed in more details in this study. This mutation had no negative effect on the plant physiology and morphology as well as rice yield. Compared with the imidazolinone-resistant mutant S_(627)N(Ser_(627) changed to Asn) that has been deployed for Clearfield rice development, W_(548)M mutant showed high levels of resistance to a broad spectrum of five families of ALSinhibiting herbicides, in addition to a higher level of resistance to herbicides of the imidazolinone family.The herbicide-resistance was stably inherited by crossing into other rice lines. 15Phenomenological Anisotropic Study of Surface Finish in Pack Rolling显示文摘A phenomenological anisotropic model has been presented for the surface roughness modeling of pack rolling. The model is an assembly of grains in different orientations and sizes. The grain size is assumed to be in log-normal distribution. To model the macro anisotropic mechanical behavior of the grains induced by the slip deformation, the grains are assumed as isolated anisotropic units. The units have different mechanic behavior, and depend on the crystallographic orientations and the external loading as well as the interaction of the adjunctive grains. In the paper,the material properties of the grains are assumed as uniform distributions. The roughness of the contact surfaces depends on the distribution types and the scatters of the distributions. It is found that the initial roughness of the contact surfaces has a little influence on the surface roughness when the rolling deformation is large. The comparison between the phenomenological model and crystallographic model shows that the phenomenological model can also give out a reasonable result, while it only takes much less CPU time. 16Synergy effect of multi-strengthening mechanisms in FeMnCoCrN HEA at cryogenic temperature显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have attracted great research interest owing to their good combination of high strength and ductility at both room and cryogenic temperatures.However,expensive raw materials are always added to overcome the strength-ductility trade-off at low temperatures,leading to an increased production cost for the cryogenically used alloys.In this work,a series of nitrogen-doped Fe Mn Co Cr HEAs have been processed by homogenization annealing,cold rolling and recrystallization annealing followed by water quenching.The microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the alloys are studied systematically.The Fe_(49)Mn_(30)Co_(10)Cr_(10)N1alloy shows excellent mechanical properties at both 293 K and 77 K.Particularly,the yield and ultimate tensile strength of 1078 and 1630 MPa are achieved at the cryogenic temperature,respectively,while a satisfactory uniform elongation of 33.5%is maintained.The ultrahigh yield strength results from the microstructure refinement caused by the activation of athermal martensitic transformation and mechanical twinning that occur in the elastic regime together with the increased lattice friction due to the cryogenic environment.In the plastic regime,the dynamic Hall-Petch effect caused by twinning,martensitic transformation,and reverse transformation together with the high barrier to dislocation motion jointly contribute to the ultrahigh tensile strength.Simultaneously,the transformation induced plasticity(TRIP)and the twinning induced plasticity(TWIP)effects jointly contribute to the ductility.The design strategy for attaining superior mechanical properties at low temperatures,i.e.by adjusting stacking fault energy in the interstitial metastable HEAs,guides the development of high-performance and low-cost alloys for cryogenic applications.Zhufeng He Nan Jia Hongwei Wang Haile Yan Yongfeng Shen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,27:3
17NORMAL CONTACT STIFFNESS OF THE ELLIPTIC AREA BETWEEN TWO ASPERITIES显示文摘A new expression for contact deformation is given, and the normal contact stiffness between single asperities is derived according to Hooke's law. A contact model between two ellipsoidal asperities is simulated by the FE method, the result compared with the theoretical solution. It is found that the curves of the normal contact stiffness versus the included angle in the principal curvature direction show similar trends and evolve as a cosine feature. 18Reliability and reliability sensitivity analysis of structure by combining adaptive linked importance sampling and Kriging reliability method显示文摘The application of reliability analysis and reliability sensitivity analysis methods to complicated structures faces two main challenges:small failure probability(typical less than 10-5)and time-demanding mechanical models.This paper proposes an improved active learning surrogate model method,which combines the advantages of the classical Active Kriging–Monte Carlo Simulation(AK-MCS)procedure and the Adaptive Linked Importance Sampling(ALIS)procedure.The proposed procedure can,on the one hand,adaptively produce a series of intermediate sampling density approaching the quasi-optimal Importance Sampling(IS)density,on the other hand,adaptively generate a set of intermediate surrogate models approaching the true failure surface of the rare failure event.Then,the small failure probability and the corresponding reliability sensitivity indices are efficiently estimated by their IS estimators based on the quasi-optimal IS density and the surrogate models.Compared with the classical AK-MCS and Active Kriging–Importance Sampling(AK-IS)procedure,the proposed method neither need to build very large sample pool even when the failure probability is extremely small,nor need to estimate the Most Probable Points(MPPs),thus it is computationally more efficient and more applicable especially for problems with multiple MPPs.The effectiveness and engineering applicability of the proposed method are demonstrated by one numerical test example and two engineering applications.Fuchao LIU Pengfei WEI Changcong ZHOU Zhufeng YUE 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4:2
