| 1 | Incidence and mortality of laryngeal cancer in China,2008–2012显示文摘Objective:To analyze the incidence and mortality rates of laryngeal cancer in China from 2008 to 2012.Methods:Incident and death cases of laryngeal cancer were retrieved from the National Central Cancer Registry(NCCR)database collecting from 135 cancer registries in China during 2008–2012.The crude incidence and mortality rates of laryngeal cancer were calculated by area(urban/rural),region(eastern,middle,western),gender and age group(0,1–4,5–9,…,85+).China census in 2000 and Segi’s world population were applied for age standardized rates.Join Point(Version 4.5.0.1)model was used for time trend analysis.Results:The crude incidence rate of laryngeal cancer was 1.86/100,000 ranked the 21st in overall cancers.The age-standardized incidence rates by China population(ASIRC)and by World population(ASIRW)were1.22/100,000 and 1.23/100,000,respectively.The crude mortality of laryngeal cancer in China was 1.01/100,000and it was the 21st cause of cancer-related death in overall cancers.Both the age-standardized mortality rates by Chinese standard population(ASMRC)and by world standard population(ASMRW)were 0.63/100,000.Incidence and mortality rates of laryngeal cancer were higher in males than in females and higher in urban areas than in rural areas.Middle areas had the highest incidence and mortality rates followed by eastern and western areas.Incidence and mortality rates of laryngeal cancer retained low level before age of 40 years old but increased greatly after and peaked in age group of 75.Incidence showed significant down trends in recent 10 years by 1.27%annually[95%confidence interval(95%CI):–2.2%,–0.3%].Mortality declined in females sharply by 5.18%per year although stable in males and both sexes combined.Conclusions:Appropriate targeted prevention,early detection and treatment programs should be carried out to control the local burden of laryngeal cancer. | Yuqin Liu Qin Zhao Gaoheng Ding Yitong Zhu Wenying Li Wanqing Chen | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3: | 29 |
| 2 | Future biomass carbon sequestration capacity of Chinese forests显示文摘Chinese forests, characterized by relatively young stand age, represent a significant biomass carbon(C)sink over the past several decades. Nevertheless, it is unclear how forest biomass C sequestration capacity in China will evolve as forest age, climate and atmospheric CO_2 concentration change continuously. Here,we present a semi-empirical model that incorporates forest age and climatic factors for each forest type to estimate the effects of forest age and climate change on total forest biomass, under three different scenarios based on the fifth phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP5). We estimate that age-related forest biomass C sequestration to be 6.69 Pg C(~0.17 Pg C a^(-1)) from the 2000s to the 2040s.Climate change induces a rather weak increase in total forest biomass C sequestration(0.52–0.60 Pg C by the 2040s). We show that rising CO_2 concentrations could further increase the total forest biomass C sequestration by 1.68–3.12 Pg C in the 2040s across all three scenarios. Overall, the total forest biomass in China would increase by 8.89–10.37 Pg C by the end of 2040s. | 7 | Combined obeticholic acid and apoptosis inhibitor treatment alleviates liver fibrosis显示文摘Obeticholic acid(OCA), the first FXR-targeting drug, has been claimed effective in the therapy of liver fibrosis. However, recent clinical trials indicated that OCA might not be effective against liver fibrosis, possibly due to the lower dosage to reduce the incidence of the side-effect of pruritus. Here we propose a combinatory therapeutic strategy of OCA and apoptosis inhibitor for combating against liver fibrosis. CCl4-injured mice, D-galactosamine/LPS(GalN/LPS)-treated mice and cycloheximide/TNFα(CHX/TNFα)-treated HepG2 cells were employed to assess the effects of OCA, or together with IDN-6556, an apoptosis inhibitor. OCA treatment significantly inhibited hepatic stellate cell(HSC)activation/proliferation and prevented fibrosis. Elevated bile acid(BA) levels and hepatocyte apoptosis triggered the activation and proliferation of HSCs. OCA treatment reduced BA levels but could not inhibit hepatocellular apoptosis. An enhanced anti-fibrotic effect was observed when OCA was co-administrated with IDN-6556. Our study demonstrated that OCA inhibits HSCs activation/proliferation partially by regulating BA homeostasis and thereby inhibiting activation of HSCs. | 9 | A new formula of mechanism mobility based on virtual constraint loop显示文摘Several important developing phases of the formulas for mobility calculation based on constraints are introduced. The shortcoming of the mobility formulas based on common constraints of loops of a mechanism is that virtual constraints must be calculated before determining the mobility of a mechanism with virtual constraints. In order to avoid the shortcoming, some new concepts including virtual loop, virtual-loop constraint and general-kinematic-pair constraint are used to analyze the relationship between mobility of links and constraint of kinematic pairs and a mobility formula based on common constraints of virtual loops is proposed. The formula is that the number of mobility of a mechanism is the sum of mobility of all links in the mecha-nism minus the sum of constraints of all kinematic pairs plus the sum of the common constraints of all virtual loops. The sum of over constraints of a mechanism is the sum of constraints of all virtual loops in the mechanism. This mobility formula expressed in terms of common constraints of virtual loops in a mechanism can avoid calculating virtual constraints. | 10 | Quality assessment of randomized controlled trials reporting on knee osteoarthritis treated with warming needle moxibustion显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of randomized controlled trials(RCTs) testing the efficacy of warming needle moxibustion on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS: Nine databases were searched systematically including: the Cochrane Library(1/1993-10/2012), Pub Med(1/1980-10/2012), EMBASE(1/1990-10/2012), SCI Expanded(1/1986-10/2012), Science Direct(1/1979-10/2012), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database disc(1/1978-10/2012), China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(1/1979-10/2012), China Science and Technology Journal Database(a full text issue database of China, 1/1989-10/2012), and Wanfang Database(a full text issue database of China, 1/1990-10/2012). Traditional reference retrieval was also conducted. Language was limited to Chinese and English. We identified 37 RCTs that used warming needle moxibustion as an intervention and they were assessed with the Consolidated Standards for Reporting of Trials Statement 2010(CONSORT 2010) and Standards for Reporting Interventions Controlled Trials of Acupuncture 2010(STRICTA 2010).RESULTS: Of the 37 reports, only seventeen(45.95%) mentioned the random allocation of sequence methods, nine used unacceptable methods, and only one(2.70%) gave the description of the mechanism of allocation concealment. One study(2.70%) mentioned blinding, one(2.70%) had a sample size calculation, and twenty-three(62.16%) used reasonable statistical methods. Thirteen(35.14%) described the background and reason for the RCTs, three(8.11%) gave a description of lost or eliminated patients, and two(5.41%) reported accidental situations. Only three(8.11%)gave analysis of the RCT limitations. No report mentioned intentional analysis.CONCLUSION: The quality of the RCTs assessed in this study was from moderate to low. The design of RCTs, the methods of statistical analysis, and the description of reports information needs to be improved. | 12 | Chassis integrated control for 4WIS distributed drive EVs with model predictive control based on the UKF observer显示文摘Four-wheel independent steering(4 WIS) system and direct yaw moment control(DYC) have an important influence on vehicle lateral stability. However, DYC has a great effect on the longitudinal velocity, and the capability of 4 WIS is limited to stability.To decrease the influence on the longitudinal velocity and improve the stability of electrical vehicles, a chassis controller integrated with a 4 WIS system and a DYC system with model predictive control(MPC) is designed. The framework consists of an unscented Kalman filter(UKF) observer and an MPC that contains three blocks: supervisor blocks, upper blocks and lower blocks. First, the sideslip angle, longitudinal velocity and lateral tire forces are estimated by the UKF observer;second, a bicycle model is utilized in the supervisor to calculate the desired values;third, the upper blocks are designed with the MPC to optimize the target steering angles and longitudinal tire forces under the constraints of subsystems;to facilitate the design of the MPC, a nonlinear tire is simplified based on the Taylor expansion method;finally, the target steering angles and longitudinal tire forces are achieved by the lower blocks. The integrated controller is simulated on the co-simulation platform of MATLAB-Carsim. | 14 | Liensinine induces gallbladder cancer apoptosis and G2/M arrest by inhibiting ZFX-induced PI3K/AKT pathway显示文摘Gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) is the most comm on and aggressive can cer of the biliary tract. Liensinine has been proved to have hypotensive effect. However, the effect of liensinine on GBC is still unknown. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect and mechanism of liensinine in human GBC cells. Cell viability assay and colony formation assay were performed to assess cell growth and proliferation. Flow cytometry analysis was used to investigate cell cycle apoptosis in vitro. Hoechst 33342 staining was also used to evaluate cell apoptosis. Western blot analysis was used to determine the expression of proteins corresponding to the related cell cycle and apoptosis.The effect of liensinine treatment in vivo was experimented with xenografted tumors. We found that liensinine significantly inhibited the growth of GBC cells both in vivo and in vitro. In vitro, cell growth and proliferation were significantly suppressed by liensinine in a dose- and time-dependent manner. In vivo, liensinine inhibited tumor growth. Liensinine could induce GBC cells G2/M phase arrest by up-regulating the levels of Cyclin B1 and CDK1 proteins. Liensinine also affected GBC cell cycle progress!on and induced apoptosis by down-regulating phosphorylated protein kinase B (AKT), phosphorylated protein kinase B (p-AKT), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K), and Zinc finger X-chromosomal protein (ZFX) proteins. In this study, a self-powered breath analyzer based on polyaniline/polyvinylidene fluoride(PANI/PVDF) piezogas-sensing arrays has been developed for potential detection of several internal diseases. The device works by converting exhaled breath energy into piezoelectric gassensing signals without any external power sources. The five sensing units in the device have different sensitivities to various gas markers with concentrations ranging from 0 to 600 ppm. The working principle can be attributed to the coupling of the in-pipe gas-flow-induced piezoelectric effect of PVDF and gas-sensing properties of PANI electrodes. | 18 | Changes in progenitors and differentiated epithelial cells of neonatal piglets显示文摘This study aimed to assess the changes of small intestinal morphology,progenitors,differentiated epithelial cells,and potential mechanisms in neonatal piglets.Hematoxylin and eosin staining of samples from 36 piglets suggested that dramatic changes were observed in the jejunum crypts depth and crypt fission index of neonatal piglets(P<0.001).The number of intestinal stem cells(ISC)tended to increase(P<0.10),and a decreased number of enteroendocrine cells appeared in the jejunal crypt on d 7(P<0.05).Furthermore,the mRNA expression of jejunal chromogranin A(ChgA)was down-regulated in d 7 piglets(P<0.05).There was an up-regulation of the adult ISC marker gene of SPARC related modular calcium binding 2(Smoc2),and Wnt/b-catenin target genes on d 7(P<0.05).These results were further verified in vitro enteroid culture experiments.A mass of hollow spheroids was cultured from the fetal intestine of 0-d-old piglets(P<0.001),whereas substantial organoids with budding and branching structures were cultured from the intestine of 7-d-old piglets(P<0.001).The difference was reflected by the organoid budding efficiency,crypt domains per organoid,and the surface area of the organoid.Furthermore,spheroids on d 0 had more Ki67-positive cells and enteroendocrine cells(P<0.05)and showed a decreasing trend in the ISC and goblet cells(P<0.10).Moreover,the mRNA expression of spheroids differed markedly from that of organoids,with low expression of intestinal differentiation gene(Lysozyme;P<0.05),epithelial-specific markers(Villin,E-cadherin;P<0.05),and adult ISC markers(leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5[Lgr5],Smoc2;P<0.001),and upregulation of fetal marker(connexin 43[Cnx43];P<0.05).The mRNA expression of relevant genes was up-regulated,and involved in Wnt/b-catenin,epidermal growth factor(EGF),Notch,and bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)signaling on d 7 organoids(P<0.05).Spheroids displayed low differentiated phenotype and high proliferation,while organoids exhibited strong differentiation potential.These results indicated that the conversion from the fetal progenitors(spheroids)to adult ISC(normal organoids)might largely be responsible for the fast development of intestinal epithelial cells in neonatal piglets. | Lanmei Yin Jun Li Yitong Zhang Qing Yang Cuiyan Yang Zhenfeng Yi Yuebang Yin Qiye Wang Jianzhong Li Nengshui Ding Zhigang Zhang Huansheng Yang Yulong Yin | 2022 | Animal Nutrition2022,,1: | 3 |
| 19 | Morphology and magnetic properties of Sm_(2)Co_(7)/α-Fe nanocomposite magnets produced by high energy ball milling and spark plasma sintering显示文摘In this article,the Sm_(2)Co_(7)/α-Fe nanocomposite magnets were prepared by high energy ball milling and spark plasma sintering method.The effect of soft phase content on the magnetic properties was studied.Up to 30 wt% α-Fe was added into Sm_(2)Co_(7) matrix without the decrease of remanence.Optimal energy product(BH)max of 9.2 MGOe was obtained with 20 wt% α-Fe.TEM observation shows that the grain size of α-Fe is 20-50 nm which ensures a good coupling effect between soft and hard phase.One more thing needs to be mentioned is that there exists inter-diffusion between Sm-Co phase and α-Fe phase.Moreover,our results can also illustrate that the Sm_(2)Co_(7)/α-Fe nanocomposite magnets are able to acquire better magnetic properties than the SmCo_(5)/α-Fe magnets prepared by the same process due to the large domain width of Sm_(2)Co_(7) phase. | Yitong Zhuge Yuqing Li Xiaochang Xu Dongtao Zhang Hongguo Zhang Weiqiang Liu Ming Yue | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,3: | 3 |
