A comparative study of Mn/CeO_2,Mn/ZrO_2 and Mn/Ce-ZrO_2 for low temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH_3 in the presence of SO_2 and H_2O显示文摘Ce-ZrO2 is a widely used three-way catalyst support.Because of the large surface area and excellent redox quality,Ce-ZrO2 may have potential application in selective catalytic reduction(SCR) systems. In the present work,Ce-ZrO2 was introduced into a low-temperature SCR system and CeO2 and ZrO2 supports were also introduced to make a contrastive study.Mn/CeO2,Mn/ZrO2 and Mn/Ce-ZrO2 were prepared by impregnating these supports with Mn(NO3)2 solution, and have been characterized by N2-BET,XRD,TPR,TPD,XPS,FT-IR and TG.The activity and resistance to SO2 and H2O of the catalysts were investigated.Mn/Ce-ZrO2 and Mn/CeO2 were proved to have better low-temperature activities than Mn/ZrO2,and yielded 98.6% and 96.8% NO conversion at 180°C,respectively.This is mainly because Mn/Ce-ZrO2 and Mn/CeO2 had higher dispersion of manganese oxides, better redox properties and more weakly adsorbed oxygen species than Mn/ZrO2.In addition,Mn/Ce-ZrO2 showed a good resistance to SO2 and H2O and presented 87.1% NO conversion, even under SO2 and H2O treatment for 6 hours, and the activity of Mn/Ce-ZrO2 was almost restored to its original level after cutting off the injection of SO2 and H2O.This was due to the weak water absorption and weak sulfation process on the surface of the catalyst. | Boxiong Shen Xiaopeng Zhang Hongqing Ma Yan Yao Ting Liu | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,4: | 30

Comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome among Prunus mume,P.armeniaca, and P.salicina显示文摘Prunus mume Sieb.et Zucc.,P.armeniaca L.,and P.salicina L.are economically important fruit trees in temperate regions. These species are taxonomically perplexing because of shared interspecific morphological traits and variation, which are mainly attributed to hybridization. The chloroplast is cytoplasmically inherited and often used for evolutionary studies. We sequenced the complete chloroplast genomes of P.mume,P.armeniaca,and P.salicina using Illumina sequencing followed by de novo assembly. The three chloroplast genomes exhibit a typical quadripartite structure with conserved genome arrangement, structure, and moderate divergence. The lengths of the genomes are 157,815,157,797,and 157,916 bp,respectively. The length of the large single-copy region(LSC)region is 86,113,86,283,and 86,122 bp,and the length of the SSC region is 18,916,18,734,and 19,028 bp;the IR region is 26,393,26,390,and 26,383 bp,respectively. Each of the three chloroplast genomes encodes 133 genes, including 94 protein-coding,31 tRNA,and eight rRNA genes.Differential gene analysis for the three species revealed that trnY-ATA is a unique gene in P.armeniaca;in contrast, the gene trnI-TAT is only present in P.mume and P.salicina, though the position of the gene in these chloroplast genomes differs.Further comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome sequences revealed that the ORF genes and the sequences of linked regions rps16 and atpA,atpH and atpI,trnc-GCA and psbD,ycf3 and atpB,and rpL32 and ndhD are significantly different and may be used as molecular markers in taxonomic studies.Phylogenetic evolution analysis of the three species suggests that P.mume has a closer genetic relationship to P.armeniaca than to P.salicina. | Song Xue Ting Shi Wenjie Luo Xiaopeng Ni Shahid Iqbal Zhaojun Ni Xiao Huang Dan Yao Zhijun Shen Zhihong Gao | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 10
WATER TUNNEL EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON THE DRAG REDUCTION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRAVELING WAVY WALL显示文摘Drag reduction experiment of the traveling wavy wall at high Reynolds number is conducted.A suit of traveling wavy wall device is developed. The drag forces of the traveling wavy wall with various wave speeds(c)are measured under different water speeds(U)in the K15 cavitation water tunnel and are compared with that of the flat plate. The results show that the mean drag force of the traveling wavy wall have decreased and then increased with oscillation frequency increasing at the same flow speed.Under different flow speeds, when traveling wave wall reached to the minimum of drag force, the corresponding the ratio of the wall motion phase speed c to flow speed U,c /U is slightly different.Within the parameters of the experiment, whenc /U reaches a certain value, the drag force of the traveling wavy wall can be less than that of the flat plate. The drag reduction can be up to 42%.Furthermore,as the value ofc /U increases, the traveling wavy wall can restrain the separation and improve the quality of flow field. | YAO Yan LU Chuan-jing SI Ting ZHU Kun | 2011 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2011,23,1: | 10
Asymptotic state behaviour and its modeling for saturated sand显示文摘A new double hardening elasto-plastic model is proposed in this paper based on the existing unified hardening model (UH model). By assuming that there is part coupling effect between the plastic volumetric strain and plastic shear strain, hardening parameters consisting of a coupled and an uncoupled components are adopted in this model. A unique feature of this model is that it can describe not only the conventional drained and undrained behaviors of soil, but also the stress-strain relationships of soil under partially drained conditions which can be volumetric compression or dilation. Adopting the asymptotic state concept, simple equations for estimating the limiting stress ratio under undrained or earth pressure at rest (i.e. K0) conditions are derived. The new model is relatively simple to be adopted in practice for two reasons. First, the same soil parameters as in Cam-clay model are used except the addition of one extra parameter, the stress ratio at the characteristic state. Second, all the parameters can be determined using conventional triaxial compression tests. | LUO Ting YAO YangPing CHU Jian | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,8: | 10

BRAF^(V600E) vs. TIRADS in predicting papillary thyroid cancers in Bethesda system Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅴ nodules显示文摘Objective: Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology(BSRTC) categories Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅴaccount for a significant proportion of fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) diagnoses. This study aimed to compare the diagnostic efficacy of BRAF^(V600E) mutation and the Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System(TIRADS) classification in differentiating papillary thyroid cancers(PTCs) from benign lesions among BSRTC I, III, and V nodules. Methods: A total of 472 patients with 479 nodules were enrolled in this prospective study. Ultrasound, BRAF^(V600E) mutation testing, and FNAC were performed in each nodule, followed by surgery or regular ultrasound examination. Results: In the BSRTC I category, BRAF^(V600E) showed similar sensitivity, higher specificity, and lower accuracy when compared with TIRADS. In the BSRTC III/V category, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of BRAF^(V600E) were similar to those of TIRADS. In comparison to BRAF^(V600E) alone, the combination of the two methods significantly improved sensitivity(BSRTC Ⅰ:93.6% vs. 67.7%, P < 0.01; BSRTC Ⅲ: 93.8% vs. 75.0%, P < 0.01; BSRTC V: 96.0% vs. 85.3%, P < 0.001). When compared with TIRADS alone, the combination improved sensitivity in BSRTC Ⅰ nodules(93.6% vs. 74.2%, P < 0.05), increased sensitivity and decreased accuracy in BSRTC III nodules(93.8% vs. 75.0%, P < 0.01, 91.0% vs. 93.6%, P < 0.01), and improved both sensitivity and accuracy in BSRTC V nodules(96.0% vs. 82.0%, P < 0.001; 94.2% vs. 81.3%, P < 0.001).Conclusions: BRAF^(V600E) exhibited higher specificity and lower accuracy compared with TIRADS in BSRTC Ⅰ nodules, while the two methods showed similar diagnostic value in BSRTC Ⅲ/Ⅴ nodules. The combination of the two methods distinctly improved sensitivity in the diagnosis of PTCs in BSRTC Ⅰ, Ⅲ, and Ⅴ nodules. | Ya Wu Ting Xu Xingyue Cao Xin Zhao Hongyan Deng Jianxiang Wang Xiao Li Qing Yao Xinhua Ye Meiping Shen Xiaohong Wu | 2019 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,1: | 9
Plasma metabolomic and lipidomic alterations associated with COVID-19显示文摘The pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a global public health crisis. The symptoms of COVID-19 range from mild to severe, but the physiological changes associated with COVID-19 are barely understood. In this study,we performed targeted metabolomic and lipidomic analyses of plasma from a cohort of patients with COVID-19 who had experienced different symptoms. We found that metabolite and lipid alterations exhibit apparent correlation with the course of disease in these patients, indicating that the development of COVID-19 affected their whole-body metabolism. In particular, malic acid of the TCA cycle and carbamoyl phosphate of the urea cycle result in altered energy metabolism and hepatic dysfunction, respectively. It should be noted that carbamoyl phosphate is profoundly down-regulated in patients who died compared with patients with mild symptoms. And,more importantly, guanosine monophosphate(GMP),which is mediated not only by GMP synthase but also by CD39 and CD73,is significantly changed between healthy subjects and patients with COVID-19,as well as between the mild and fatal cases. In addition, dyslipidemia was observed in patients with COVID-19.Overall,the disturbed metabolic patterns have been found to align with the progress and severity of COVID-19.This work provides valuable knowledge about plasma biomarkers associated with COVID-19 and potential therapeutic targets,as well as an important resource for further studies of the pathogenesis of COVID-19. | Di Wu Ting Shu Xiaobo Yang Jian-Xin Song Mingliang Zhang Chengye Yao Wen Liu Muhan Huang Yuan Yu Qingyu Yang Tingju Zhu Jiqian Xu Jingfang Mu Yaxin Wang Hong Wang Tang Tang Yujie Ren Yongran Wu Shu-Hai Lin Yang Qiu Ding-Yu Zhang You Shang Xi Zhou | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,7: | 9
Microbial aerosol chemistry characteristics in highly polluted air显示文摘Aerosol chemistry is often studied without considering microbial involvements. Here, we investigated time-and size-resolved bacterial aerosol dynamics in air. Under high particulate matter(PM) polluted episodes, bacterial aerosols exhibited a viability of up to 50%–70% in the 0.56–1 μm size range, at which elevated levels of SO42-, NO3- and NH4+ were concurrently observed.Engineered or acclimated for both industrial use, bacteria such as Psychrobacter spp., Massilia spp., Acinetobacter lwoffii,Exiguobacteriumaurantiacum and Bacillusmegaterium were shown to have experienced massive abundance shifts in polluted air on early mornings and late afternoons, on which rapid new particle formation events were widely reported. Here, Psychrobacter spp. were shown to account for >96% abundance at a corresponding PM2.5 level of 208 μg/m3. These observed bacterial aerosol changes corresponded to the PM2.5 mass peak shift from 3.2–5.6 μm to the high viability size range of 0.56–1 μm. Additionally, elevated levels of soluble Na, Ca, Mg, K, Al, Fe and P elements, required for bacterial growth, were observed to co-occur with those significant bacterial aerosol structure shifts in the air. For particular time-resolved PM2.5 pollution episodes, Acinetobacter,Psychrobacter and Massilia were shown to alternate in dominating the time-resolved aerosol community structures. The results from a HYSPLIT trajectory model simulation suggested that air mass transport played a minor role in affecting the observed bacterial aerosol structure dynamics. All the data here suggested that airborne bacteria in the size range of 0.56–1 μm could be extensively involved in aerosol chemistry in highly polluted humid air. | Ting Zhang Xinyue Li Minfei Wang Haoxuan Chen Maosheng Yao | 2019 | Science China Chemistry2019,62,8: | 8
Spatial prediction of landslide susceptibility using GIS-based statistical and machine learning models in Wanzhou County,Three Gorges Reservoir, China显示文摘Landslide susceptibility mapping is vital for landslide risk management and urban planning. In this study,we used three statistical models[frequency ratio, certainty factor and index of entropy(IOE)]and a machine learning model[random forest(RF)]for landslide susceptibility mapping in Wanzhou County,China.First,a landslide inventory map was prepared using earlier geotechnical investigation reports, aerial images, and field surveys. Then, the redundant factors were excluded from the initial fourteen landslide causal factors via factor correlation analysis. To determine the most effective causal factors, landslide susceptibility evaluations were performed based on four cases with different combinations of factors('cases').In the analysis,465(70%)landslide locations were randomly selected for model training, and 200(30%)landslide locations were selected for verification. The results showed that case 3 produced the best performance for the statistical models and that case 2 produced the best performance for the RF model. Finally, the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to verify the accuracy of each model's results for its respective optimal case. The ROC curve analysis showed that the machine learning model performed better than the other three models, and among the three statistical models, the IOE model with weight coefficients was superior. | Ting Xiao Kunlong Yin Tianlu Yao Shuhao Liu | 2019 | Acta Geochimica2019,38,5: | 8
Crystalline Silica Promotes Rat Fibrocyte Differentiation in Vitro, and Fibrocytes Participate in Silicosis in Vivo显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Si O2 on fibrocytes and whether fibrocytes participate in silicosis in vivo. Methods A macrophagocyte(AM)/fibrocyte coculture system was established, and AMs were treated with 100 μg/mL SiO 2. Flow cytometry was used to detect the number of fibrocytes. Real‐time PCR was performed to measure the expression of collagen I, collagen III, and α‐SMA mR NA. The levels of collagen I, collagen III, and TGF‐β1 protein were determined by ELISA. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to measure α‐SMA protein expression. A rat silicosis model was induced by intratracheal instillation of SiO 2. Lung histopathological evaluation was conducted using HE and Masson's trichrome staining after 1 and 9 weeks. The number of fibrocytes in peripheral blood or lung tissue of rat was detected by flow cytometry. Double‐color immunofluorescence was applied to identify fibrocytes in the lung tissue. Results Peripheral blood monocytes were found to differentiate into fibrocytes in vitro in a time‐dependent manner, and exposure to crystalline silica might potentiate fibrocyte differentiation. In addition, fibrocytes were able to migrate from peripheral blood to the lung tissue, and the number of fibrocytes was increased after SiO 2 exposure. Conclusion Silica exposure potentiates fibrocyte differentiation, and fibrocytes may participate in silicosis in vivo. | LI Juan YAO Wu HOU Jian Yong Zhang Lin BAO Lei CHEN Hui Ting WANG Di YUE Zhong Zheng LI Yi Ping ZHANG Miao HAO Chang Fu | 2017 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2017,30,9: | 7
EXPRESSION AND SIGNIFICANCE OF SURVIVIN mRNA IN LUNG CANCER TISSUE MICROARRAY DETECTED BY FISH显示文摘Objective To investigate the expression of Survivin mRNA in lung cancer tissue microarray (TMA) by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) method, and determine the role and significance of it in lung cancer genesis and progress. Methods The expression of Survivin mRNA was detected by FISH method and TMA technology. Fifty-four cases of lung cancer and 10 cases of normal lung tissue were examined. Results Survivin mRNA was expressed in 66.7% (36/54) of lung cancer; the positive ratio of lung cancer was significantly higher than that of normal lung tissue (0/10; χ2 = 15.238, P < 0.05). The positive ratio of Survivin mRNA was significantly higher in poor differentiated cancer (20/24, 83.3%) than moderate and well differentiated cancer (16/30, 53.3%; χ2 = 5.40, P < 0.05). The positive ratio of Survivin mRNA was significantly higher in group with lymph node metastasis (27/32, 84.4%) than without lymph node metastasis (9/22, 40.9%; χ2 = 11.084, P < 0.05). The positive ratio of Survivin mRNA was significantly higher in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ(12/13, 92.3%) than stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (24/41, 58.5%; χ2 = 5.066, P < 0.05). Conclusion Survivin mRNA highly expresses in lung cancer, which is related to the progress and malignant behavior. Survivin may play a promoting role in lung cancer genesis and progress and provide a basis for estimating prognosis and treatment. | Xin-yun Wang Zhi Yao Yan Li Ting Liu Hai-yan Zheng Cong-zhong Zhu Cui-yun Sun Ai-xiang Wang Min Zhao Xing-ye Wu | 2005 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2005,20,3: | 7
A constitutive model for granular soils显示文摘A simple constitutive model is presented to describe the mechanical behaviors of granular soils in a large stress range. A novel normal compression line(NCL) is first expressed by introducing a limit void ratio(e_L) in the double logarithmic scale.Subsequently, a state parameter(ξ) is defined to quantify the current state of granular soils, and a unified hardening parameter(H)that is a function of the state parameter(ξ) is developed to govern the hardening process of the drop-shaped yield surface.Combining with flow rule, a constitutive model for granular soils is proposed. Finally, the comparison between the predictions and the test results of Cambria sand and Coarse-grained material indicates that the model is able to describe the mechanical behaviors of granular soils in a large stress range. | YAO YangPing LIU Lin LUO Ting | 2018 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,10: | 7

Total mercury in wild fish in Guizhou reservoirs, China显示文摘The health hazard of mercury (Hg) compounds is internationally recognized, and the main pathways for methylmercury (MeHg) intake in humans are through consumption of food, especially fish. Given the large releases of Hg to the environment in China, combined with the fast development of hydropower, this issue deserves attention. Provided similar mobilization pathways of Hg in China as seen in reservoirs in North America and Europe one should expect increased Hg contamination in relation to future hydropower reservoir construction in this country. This study presents total Hg (THg) concentrations in wild fish from six Guizhou reservoirs, China. The THg concentrations in fish were generally low despite high background levels in the bedrock and depositions from local point sources. The over all mean ± SD concentration of THg was (0.066 ± 0.078) μg/g (n = 235). After adjusting for among-reservoir variation in THg, there were significant differences in THg among functional groups of the fish, assumed to re?ect trophic levels. Predicted THg- concentration ratios, retrieved from a mixed linear model, between the functional groups were 9:4:4:1 for carnivorous, omnivorous, planktivorous and herbivorous fish. This result indicated that MeHg accumulation may prevail even under circumstances with short food chains as in this Chinese water system. No fish exceeded recommended maximum THg limit for human consumption set by World Health Organization and the Standardization Administration of China (0.5 μg/g fish wet weight (ww)). Only six fish (2.5%) exceeded the maximum THg limit set by US Environmental Protection Agency (0.3 μg/g fish ww). | Haiyu Yan Atle Rustadbakken Heng Yao Thorjorn Larssen Xinbin Feng Ting Liu Lihai Shang Thrond O. | 19 | Advances in lithium niobate photonics:development status and perspectives显示文摘Lithium niobate(LN)has experienced significant developments during past decades due to its versatile properties, especially its large electro-optic(EO)coefficient.For example, bulk LN-based modulators with high speeds and a superior linearity are widely used in typical fiber-optic communication systems. However, with everincreasing demands for signal transmission capacity, the high power and large size of bulk LN-based devices pose great challenges, especially when one of its counterparts, integrated silicon photonics, has experienced dramatic developments in recent decades. Not long ago,high-quality thin-film LN on insulator(LNOI)became commercially available, which has paved the way for integrated LN photonics and opened a hot research area of LN photonics devices.LNOI allows a large refractive index contrast, thus light can be confined within a more compact structure.Together with other properties of LN,such as nonlinear/acousto-optic/pyroelectric effects, various kinds of high-performance integrated LN devices can be demonstrated.A comprehensive summary of advances in LN photonics is provided. As LN photonics has experienced several decades of development, our review includes some of the typical bulk LN devices as well as recently developed thin film LN devices. In this way, readers may be inspired by a complete picture of the evolution of this technology. We first introduce the basic material properties of LN and several key processing technologies for fabricating photonics devices. After that, various kinds of functional devices based on different effects are summarized. Finally,we give a short summary and perspective of LN photonics. We hope this review can give readers more insight into recent advances in LN photonics and contribute to the further development of LN related research. | Guanyu Chen Nanxi Li Jun Da Ng Hong-Lin Lin Yanyan Zhou Yuan Hsing Fu Lennon Yao Ting Lee Yu Yu Ai-Qun Liu Aaron J.Danner | 2022 | Advanced Photonics2022,4,3: | 6
Identification and Characterization of glnA Promoter and its Corresponding Trans-regulatory Protein GlnR in the Rifamycin SV Producing Actinomycete,Amycolatopsis mediterranei U32显示文摘The genetic requirements for the transcription of glnA,encoding the major glutaminesynthetase in a rifamycin SV-producing Amycolatopsis mediterranei strain,U32,were investigated.Primerextension experiments showed that the promoter of U32 glnA (pglnA) was likely to have two transcriptioninitiation sites:P_1 and P_2,located 157 and 45 nucleotides (nt) upstream of the translational start codon, respectively.Gel mobility shift and DNase I footprinting analyses revealed a 30 bp cis-element locatedat 45 to 75 nt downstream of P_1,or 38 to 68 nt upstream of P_2.The sequence of the cis-element displayedhigh similarity to the corresponding regions of pglnA from Streptomyces coelicolor and S.roseosporus.WithxylE as a reporter gene, the expression levels of U32 pglnA and its deletion derivatives under differentnitrogen-source conditions were analyzed by detecting the catechol dioxygenase activities in S.lividansTK54,S.coelicolor J508 and S.coelicolor FS10 (glnR mutant). These in vivo studies showed that theactivation of U32 pglnA in S.coelicolor required GlnR,and its binding to the U32 pglnA was furtherconfirmed by the gel mobility shift assay.Cloning and heterologous expression of the U32 glnR allowed usto detect the in vitro interaction between the U32 GlnR and the corresponding pglnA cis-element.Furtherevidence shown by in vivo glnR inactivation and complementation indicated that GlnR is essential for theactive transcription of glnA in U32. | Hao YU Wen-Tao PENG Yang LIU Ting WU Yu-Feng YAO Ming-Xue CUI Wei-Hong JIANG Guo-Ping ZHAO | 2006 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2006,38,12: | 6
