| 1 | Total mesopancreas excision for pancreatic head cancer: analysis of 120 cases显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and safety of total mesopancreas excision(TMpE) in the treatment of pancreatic head cancer. Methods: The clinical and pathological data of 120 patients with pancreatic head cancer who had undergone TMpE in our center from May 2010 to January 2014 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The mean operative time was(275.0±50.2) min and the average intra-operative blood loss was(390.0±160.5) mL. Post-operative complications were reported in 45 patients, while no peri-operative death was noted. The specimen margins were measured in three dimensions, and 86 patients(71.6%) achieved R0 resection. | 2 | Temperature field distribution of burnt surrounding rock in UCG stope显示文摘In order to study temperature field distribution in burnt surrounding rock and to determine ranges of burnt surrounding rock, coal-wall coking cycle and heat influence in the underground coal gasification(UCG) stope, based on the Laplace transform and inversion formula, we studied the temperature analytical solution of one-dimensional unsteady heat conduction for multi-layer overlying strata under the first and the forth kinds of boundary conditions, and we also carried out a numerical simulation of twodimensional unsteady heat conduction by the COMSOL multiphysics. The results show that when the boundary temperature of surrounding rock has a linear decrease because of a directional movement of heat source in the UCG flame working face, the temperature in surrounding rock increases first and then decreases with time, the peak of temperature curve decreases gradually and its position moves inside surrounding rock from the boundary. In the surrounding rock of UCG stope, there is an envelope curve of temperature curve clusters. We analyzed the influence of thermophysical parameters on envelope curves and put forward to take envelope curve as the calculation basis for ranges of burnt surrounding rock, coal-wall coking cycle and heat influence. | 3 | A Discussion on the Origin of Shale Reservoir Inter-Laminar Fractures in the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene, Dongying Depression显示文摘This paper was conducted on the shale reservoir in the Dongying depression in the Shahejie Formation of Paleogene. Based on detailed core description, rock thin sections, argon ion polishing, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) analysis, CT scanning and carbon-oxygen isotopic test, the formation mechanism of the inter-laminar fractures(or seams) and their development conditions were discussed by comprehensive analysis of the diagenetic evolution features and the reservoir space evolution characteristics. The results show that the laminated composite pattern in Dongying depression was dominated by vertical distribution of laminated calcite and clay minerals. Contrasted to the traditional understanding, development degree of inter-laminar fractures was much lower. Pure fluid between layers cannot exist without framework minerals, and the pre-existing well connected pore or horizontal overpressure micro seam was favorable paths of fluid migration. From the points of inter-laminar fractures origin mechanism and its evolution, the so called seams, were much more complex than traditional understanding that hydrocarbon generation raised the pore pressure and led to the parallel microfractures. But the inter-laminar fractures had little relationship with that whether the lamination was developed or bedding boundary was clear or not. In fact, the shale reservoir inter-laminar fractures were not rigorous fracture. They were controlled by pre-existing inter-granular pore(or seam) or dissolved pore, which distributed along carbonate laminae boundary and were connected by later super pressure, dissolution and the seepage force. And the development conditions were burial depth(bigger than 3 000 m) and the Ro value(>0.6%). | 4 | Cold hardiness estimation of Pinus densiflora var. zhangwuensis based on changes in ionic leakage, chlorophyll fluorescence and other physiological activities under cold stress显示文摘Pinus densiflora var. zhangwuensis grows fast,and its drought and salinity resistance are better than Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica. We compared cold hardiness and mechanisms of cold hardiness between the two species, to provide a theoretical basis for promoting and applying P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis in cold regions. A cold stress experiment was carried out on 3-year-old plantlets of P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis and P. sylvestris var. mongolica after hardening at five temperature regimes, 5,-10,-20,-40, and-60℃, respectively. Some indices of needle samples for both species were measured, such as relative conductivity(REL), maximum photochemical efficiency(F_v/F_m), malondialdehyde(MDA), catalase(CAT), proline(Pro), soluble sugar(SS), and stomata density. REL and MDA values of both species after hardening had the same trend of increasing, but the trend was opposite in F_v/F_mvalue with increasing cold stress. Compared with P. sylvestris var. mongolica, the P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis had smaller increases in REL and MDA,and a smaller decline in F_v/F_mduring cold stress. Compared to the control, REL growth of P. densiflora var.zhangwuensis and P. sylvestris var. mongolica at-60℃ were 0.41 and 0.60, and MDA growth was 29.94 mol g^-1FW and 47.80 mol g^-1FW, and F_v/F_mdeclines were 0.08 and 0.27. Half-lethal temperatures(LT_50) calculated by logistic equation for P. densiflora var. zhangwuensis and P.sylvestris var. mongolica were-58.23 and-50.34℃,respectively. These data suggest that cold resistance of P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis is stronger than that of P.sylvestris var. mongolica. Cold-resistance mechanisms of the two species differed. In response to cold stress, P.sylvestris var. mongolica had strong osmotic adjustment ability because of higher Pro and SS content, while P.densiflora var. zhangwuensis had strong antioxidant ability due to stronger CAT activity. | 5 | ZBP1(DAI/DLM-1) promotes osteogenic differentiation while inhibiting adipogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells through a positive feedback loop of Wnt/β-catenin signaling显示文摘The lineage specification of mesenchymal stem/stromal cells(MSCs) is tightly regulated by a wide range of factors. Recently, the versatile functions of ZBP1(also known as DAI or DLM-1) have been reported in the blood circulation and immune systems.However, the biological function of ZBP1 during the lineage specification of MSCs is still unknown. In the present study, we found that ZBP1 was upregulated during osteogenesis but downregulated during adipogenesis in mouse bone marrow-derived MSCs(m BMSCs). ZBP1 was highly expressed in osteoblasts but expressed at a relatively low level in marrow adipocytes. Knockdown of ZBP1 inhibited alkaline phosphataseactivity, extracellular matrix mineralization, and osteogenesis-related gene expression in vitro and reduced ectopic bone formation in vivo. Knockdown of ZBP1 also promoted adipogenesis in MSCs in vitro. Conversely, the overexpression of ZBP1 increased the osteogenesis but suppressed the adipogenesis of MSCs. When the expression of ZBP1 was rescued, the osteogenic capacity of ZBP1-depleted m BMSCs was restored at both the molecular and phenotypic levels.Furthermore, we demonstrated that ZBP1, a newly identified target of Wnt/β-catenin signaling, was required for β-catenin translocation into nuclei. | 6 | Surface-enhanced Raman scattering on dielectric microspheres with whispering gallery mode resonance显示文摘Conventionally, metallic nanostructures are used for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS), but recently there has been increasing interest in the enhancement of Raman scattering from dielectric substrates due to their improved stability and biocompatibility compared with metallic substrates. Here, we report the observation of enhanced Raman scattering from rhodamine 6 G molecules coated on silica microspheres. We excite the whispering gallery modes(WGMs) supported in the microspheres with a tapered fiber coupler for efficient WGM excitation, and the Raman enhancement can be attributed to the WGM mechanism. Strong resonance enhancement in pump laser intensity and modified Raman emission from the Purcell effect in the microsphere resonator are observed from the experiment and compared with theoretical results. A total Raman enhancement factor of 1.4 × 10~4 is observed, with contribution mostly from the enhancement in pump laser intensity. | 8 | Hepatopancreatoduodenectomy for advanced biliary malignancies显示文摘Background:Hepatopancreatoduodenectomy(HPD)has been considered the only curative treatment for metastatic cholangiocarcinoma and some locally advanced gallbladder cancers(GBCs).However,HPD has not yet been included in treatment guidelines as a standard surgical procedure in consideration of its morbidity and mortality rates.The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of HPD in treating biliary malignancies.Methods:The medical records of 57 patients with advanced biliary cancer undergoing HPD from January 2009 to December 2019 were retrospectively retrieved.A case-control analysis was conducted at our department.Patients with advanced GBC who underwent HPD(HPD-GBC group)were compared with a control group(None-HPD-GBC group).Baseline characteristics,preoperative treatments,tumor pathologic features,operative results,and prognosis were assessed.Results:Thirteen patients with cholangiocarcinoma and 44 patients with GBC underwent HPD at our department.Significant postoperative complications(grade III or greater)and postoperative pancreatic fistula were observed in 24(42.1%)and 15(26.3%)patients,respectively.One postoperative death occurred in the present study.Overall survival(OS)was longer in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma than in those with GBC(median survival time[MST],31 months vs.11 months;P<0.001).In the subgroup analysis of patients with advanced GBC,multivariate analysis demonstrated that T4 stage tumors(P=0.012),N2 tumors(P=0.001),and positive margin status(P=0.004)were independently associated with poorer OS.Patients with either one or more prognostic factors exhibited a shorter MST than patients without those prognostic factors(P<0.001).Conclusion:HPD could be performed with a relatively low mortality rate and an acceptable morbidity rate in an experienced highvolume center.For patients with advanced GBC without an N2 or T4 tumor,HPD can be a preferable treatment option. | Xiangsong Wu Maolan Li Wenguang Wu Xu’an Wang Huaifeng Li Runfa Bao Yijun Shu Jun Shen Jun Gu Xuefeng Wang Wei Gong Shuyou Peng Yingbin Liu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,23: | 3 |

| 10 | Two-Year Observation of Fossil Fuel Carbon Dioxide Spatial Distribution in Xi’an City显示文摘The need for atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO2)reduction in the context of global warming is widely acknowledged by the global scientific community.Fossil fuel CO2(CO2ff)emissions occur mainly in cities,and can be monitored directly with radiocarbon(14 C).In this research,annual plants[Setaria viridis(L.)Beauv.]were collected from 26 sites in 2013 and2014 in the central urban district of Xi’an City.The△14C content of the samples were analyzed using a 3 MV Accelerator Mass Spectrometer,and CO2ff concentrations were calculated based on mass balance equations.The results showed that the CO2ff mixing ratio ranged from 15.9 to 25.0 ppm(part per million,equivalent toμmol mol-1),with an average of 20.5 ppm in 2013.The range of measured values became larger in 2014,from 13.9 ppm to 33.1 ppm,with an average of 23.5 ppm.The differences among the average CO2ff concentrations between the central area and outer urban areas were not statistically significant.Although the year-to-year variation of the CO2ff concentration was significant(P<0.01),there was a distinctly low CO2 ff value observed in the northeast corner of the city.CO2 ff emiissions from vehicle exhaust and residential sources appeared to be more significant than two thermal power plants,according to our observed CO2 ff spatial distribution.The variation of pollution source transport recorded in our observations was likely controlled by southwesterly winds.These results could assist in the optimal placement of regional CO2 monitoring stations,and benefit the local government in the implementation of efficient carbon emission reduction measures. | Xiaohu XIONG Weijian ZHOU Shugang WU Peng CHENG Hua DU Yaoyao HOU Zhenchuan NIU Peng WANG Xuefeng LU Yunchong FU | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,6: | 2 |

| 13 | Genome-wide analysis of NDR1/HIN1-like genes in pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)and functional characterization of CaNHL4 under biotic and abiotic stresses显示文摘Plant NDR1/HIN1-like(NHL)genes play an important role in triggering plant defenses in response to biotic stresses.In this study,we performed a genome-wide identification of the NHL genes in pepper(Capsicum annuum L.)and characterized the functional roles of these CaNHL genes in response to abiotic stresses and infection by different pathogens.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that CaNHLs can be classified into five distinct subgroups,with each group containing generic and specific motifs.Regulatory element analysis showed that the majority of the promoter regions of the identified CaNHLs contain jasmonic acid(JA)-responsive and salicylic acid(SA)-responsive elements,and transcriptomic analysis revealed that CaNHL genes are expressed in all the examined tissues of pepper.The CaNHL1,CaNHL4,CaNHL6,CaNHL10,CaNHL11,and CaNHL12 genes were significantly upregulated under abiotic stress as well as in response to different pathogens,such as TMV,Phytophthora capsici and Pseudomonas syringae.In addition,we found that CaNHL4 localizes to the plasma membrane.CaNHL4-silenced pepper plants display significantly increased susceptibility to TMV,Phytophthora capsici and Pseudomonas syringae,exhibiting reduced expression of JA-related and SA-related genes and reduced ROS production.However,transient overexpression of CaNHL4 in pepper increases the expression of JArelated and SA-related genes,enhances the accumulation of ROS,and inhibits the infection of these three pathogens.Collectively,for the first time,we identified the NHL genes in pepper and demonstrated that CaNHL4 is involved in the production of ROS and that it also regulates the expression of JA-related and SA-related genes in response to different pathogens,suggesting that members of the CaNHL family play an essential role in the disease resistance of pepper. | Changyun Liu Haoran Peng Xinyu Li Chaolong Liu Xing Lv Xuefeng Wei Aihong Zou Jian Zhang Guangjin Fan Guanhua Ma Lisong Ma Xianchao Sun | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 15 | A Textural and Mineralogical Study of the Shanzhuang Banded Iron Formation, Southeastern Margin of the North China Craton: Implications for the Overprint History of Hydrothermal Alteration and Supergenesis after Mineralization显示文摘The newly discovered Shanzhuang BIF is hosted in the Shancaoyu Formation of the Taishan Group within the Eastern Block,southeastern margin of the North China Craton.The ores can be subdivided into three types in terms of mineral assemblages,corresponding to three types(Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ).The element concentration of the type Ⅰ magnetite is similar to that of the type Ⅱ magnetite,while the type Ⅲ magnetite is similar to that of the schist.In general,magnetite and hemat ite grains from the ores show high concentrations of Mn(1317,1162 ppm),Co(787,1023 ppm),Al(2224,2435 ppm)and Ti(540,300 ppm),Whereas magnetite is depleted in Si(420 ppm)and hematite enriched in Si(1690 ppm).Detailed petrographic and mineral chemical analysis of magnetite,hematite,amphibole/hornblende and pyroxene,reveals that almost all the minerals occur as subhedral-anhedral grains with pits and fractures,and the BIF is recrystallized to metamorphic assemblages of high amphibolite facies.Hornblende is highly enriched in Fe,Mg and Ca,but depleted in K and Na,mostly belonging to magnesiohornblende.In addition,the ratios of Mg/(Mg+Fe^2+),Fe^3+/(Fe^3++Fe^2+),Si/(Si+Ti+Al)and Al/Si are 0.48-0.64,0.17-0.36,0.79-0.88 and 0.14-0.27,respectively.It is suggested that hornblende is neither a typical magmatic origin nor a typical metamorphic.Pyroxene has the characteristics of high Ca and Fe,but low Ti and Al,with end-member components En,Wo and Fs in the ranges of 25.22-28.64 wt%,43.71-46.40 wt%and 24.51-27.62 wt%,respectively,belonging to clinopyroxene,and mostly diopside,might be formed during the prograde metamorphism in the absence of H2 O.The carbonate such as dolomite-ankerite series is probably a precursor mineral of the BIF deposit.Mass mineral chemical and structural characteristics indicate that the Shanzhuang iron deposit has been subjected to varying degrees of oxidized hydrothermal superimposed reformation,metamorphism,and supergenesis after mineralization,during which some elements have been migrated in some degree. | ZHANG Yan YU Xuefeng PENG Qiming LI Dapeng LI Xiaowei SHEN Kun ZHANG Shangkun SHANWei | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6: | 1 |

| 19 | Adjacent acid sites cooperatively catalyze fructose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in a new, facile pathway显示文摘To study the effect of adjacent hydroxyl to the active sites, several acid catalysts, i.e. substituted benzoic acids with adjacent carboxyl are employed in the fructose dehydration to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF).Experimental results reveal that Br?nsted acid sites with adjacent carboxyl present higher catalytic ability than isolated ones. Computational results suggest that the adjacent sites lead to co-interaction on fructose, corresponding more stable transition state and faster HMF formation rate. | 20 | Nest-type NCM ■ Pt/C with oxygen capture character as advanced electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘A unique nest-type catalyst has been designed with a nest of oxygen capture surrounding catalytic Pt centers, which shows much promoted performance, on the base of Pt/C catalyst, for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). The nest is constructed with nitrogen-doped carbon matrix(NCM), derived from the controlled carbonization of PANI precursor, to cover Pt/C catalyst. The unique structure of the catalyst(denoted as NCM■ Pt/C) has many merits. Firstly, it can capture oxygen both in air and in acidic electrolyte. Compared with naked Pt/C, it is found that, in air, the oxygen concentration within the porous nest of NCM surrounding Pt/C particles is ~13 times higher than atmospheric oxygen concentration and, in acidic electrolyte, the concentration of activated oxygen over the catalyst NCM■ Pt/C rise to~1.9 times. Secondly, the NCM nest offers a special electronic modulation on Pt centers toward modified ORR kinetics and then catalytic performances. With these merits, compared with Pt/C, the NCM■ Pt/C catalyst shows 3.2 times higher turnover frequency value and 2.9 times enhanced specific activity for ORR with half-wave potential at 0.894 V. After 50,000 sweeping cycles, the NCM■ Pt/C catalyst retains~66% mass activity and still has advantages over the fresh Pt/C catalyst.
