1Development, chromosome location and genetic mapping of EST-SSR markers in wheat显示文摘A number of 151695 wheat expression sequence tags (ESTs) that originated from GenBank/dbEST from July 14, 2003 to August 24, 2004 were used to search for simple sequence repeats (SSRs) with motif 2―5 bp, and 2038 simple sequence repeats (EST-SSRs), which accounted for 1.34% of EST database, were identified. Based on these SSR sequences, 249 EST-SSR primer pairs and 166 amplified clear bands in various wheat cultivars were designed. These EST-SSR markers can be used as new molecular markers in wheat and related species. Using Chinese Spring nulli-tetrasomic lines, 93 EST-SSR primer pairs and 193 EST-SSR loci were located on 19 wheat chromosomes except for 4A and 4B. 2Low-complexity 2D coherently distributed sources decoupled DOAs estimation method显示文摘The existing directions-of-arrival(DOAs) estimation methods for two-dimensional(2D) coherently distributed sources need one-or two-dimensional search,and the computational complexities of them are high. In addition,most of them are designed for special angular signal distribution functions. As a result,their performances will degenerate when deal with different sources with different angular signal distribution functions or unknown angular signal distribution functions. In this paper,a low-complexity decoupled DOAs estimation method without searching using two parallel uniform linear arrays(ULAs) is proposed for coherently distributed sources,as well as a novel parameter matching method. It can resolve the problems mentioned above efficiently. 4Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis:A multicenter propensity scorematched cohort study显示文摘Objective:Systemic chemotherapy has limited efficacy in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis(PM)in gastric cancer(GC).Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC)combined with complete cytoreductive surgery(CRS)has shown promising outcomes but remains controversial.The present study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of HIPEC without CRS in GC patients with PM.Methods:This retrospective propensity score-matched multicenter cohort study included GC patients with PM treated with either chemotherapy alone(Cx group)or with HIPEC combined with chemotherapy(HIPEC-Cx group)in four Chinese high-volume gastric medical centers between 2010 and 2017.The primary outcomes were median survival time(MST)and 3-year overall survival(OS).Propensity score matching was performed to compensate for controlling potential confounding effects and selection bias.Results:Of 663 eligible patients,498 were matched.The MST in the Cx and HIPEC-Cx groups was 10.8 and 15.9 months,respectively[hazard ratio(HR)=0.71,95%confidence interval(95%CI),0.58-0.88;P=0.002].The 3-year OS rate was 10.1%(95%CI,5.4%-14.8%)and 18.4%(95%CI,12.3%-24.5%)in the Cx and HIPEC-Cx groups,respectively(P=0.017).The complication rates were comparable.The time to first flatus and length of hospital stay for patients undergoing HIPEC combined with chemotherapy was longer than that of chemotherapy alone(4.6±2.4 d vs.2.7±1.8 d,P<0.001;14.2±5.8 d vs.11.4±7.7 d,P<0.001),respectively.The median follow-up period was 33.2 months.Conclusions:Compared with standard systemic chemotherapy,HIPEC combined with chemotherapy revealed a statistically significant survival benefit for GC patients with PM,without compromising patient safety.Ziying Lei Jiahong Wang Zhi Li Baozhong Li Jiali Luo Xuejun Wang Jin Wang MingchenBa Hongsheng Tang Qingjun He Quanxing Liao Xiansheng Yang Tianpei Guan Han Liang Shuzhong Cui 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6:11
5Genome-wide transcriptional analysis of maize endosperm in response to ae wx double mutations显示文摘Starch biosynthesis is important during endosperm development.Much has been known for the regulation of gene expression involved in starch synthesis,less information is available on the genome-wide expression profiles as a consequence of impaired starch synthesis.In this study,we examined the transcriptional responses through microarray analysis in an ae wx double-mutant with loss-of-function starch branching enzyme IIb(SBEIIb) and granule-bound starch synthase I(GBSSI).Through Gene Ontology enrichment analysis,we identified differentially expressed genes(DEGs) involved in chromatin organization and lipid transport.The DEGs also include alcohol dehydrogenase genes and pyruvate decarboxylase genes involved in sugar metabolism.In summary,the ae wx double mutations caused pleiotropic effects and transcriptional changes for a number of genes involved in metabolism,cellular response and organization.Therefore,a block in starch synthesis triggers transcriptional responses to favour the flux of excess carbohydrates into glycolysis,pentose phosphate pathway,and cell wall biosynthesis,but not toward the synthesis of alternative storage compounds.Xiang Li Guang Hui Chen Wei Yang Zhang Xiansheng Zhang 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,11:10
6Active vibration control of piezoelectric bonded smart structures using PID algorithm显示文摘Thin-walled structures are sensitive to vibrate under even very small disturbances. In order to design a suitable controller for vibration suppression of thin-walled smart structures, an electro-mechanically coupled finite element(FE) model of smart structures is developed based on first-order shear deformation(FOSD) hypothesis. Considering the vibrations generated by various disturbances, which include free and forced vibrations, a PID control is implemented to damp both the free and forced vibrations. 8Stratigraphy of the Triassic-Jurassic Boundary Successions of the Southern Margin of the Junggar Basin,Northwestern China显示文摘The Triassic-Jurassic(Tr-J) boundary marks a major extinction event,which(~200 Ma) resulted in global extinctions of fauna and flora both in the marine and terrestrial realms.There prevail great challenges in determining the exact location of the terrestrial Tr-J boundary,because of endemism of taxa and the scarcity of fossils in terrestrial settings leading to difficulties in linking marine and terrestrial sedimentary successions.Investigation based on palynology and bivalves has been carried out over a 1113 m thick section,which is subdivided into 132 beds,along the Haojiagou valley on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin of the northern Xinjiang,northwestern China.The terrestrial Lower Jurassic is conformably resting on the Upper Triassic strata.The Upper Triassic covers the Huangshanjie Formation overlaid by the Haojiagou Formation,while the Lower Jurassic comprises the Badaowan Formation followed by the Sangonghe Formation.Fifty six pollen and spore taxa and one algal taxon were identified from the sediments.Based on the key-species and abundance of spores and pollen,three zones were erected:the Late Triassic(Rhaetian) Aratrisporites-Alisporites Assemblage,the Early Jurassic(Hettangian) Perinopollenites-Pinuspollenites Assemblage,and the Sinemurian Perinopollenites-Cycadopites Assemblage.The Tr-J boundary is placed between bed 44 and 45 coincident with the boundary between the Haojiagou and Badaowan formations.Beds with Ferganoconcha(?),Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha bivalve assemblages are recognized.The Ferganoconcha(?) bed is limited to the upper Haojiagou Formation, Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha assemblages are present in the middle and upper members of the Badaowan Formation.The sedimentary succession is interpreted as terrestrial with two mainly lake deposit intervals within Haojiagou and Badaowan formations,yielding fresh water algae and bivalves.However,the presence of brackish water algae Tasmanites and the marine-littoral facies bivalve Waagenoperna from the Badaowan Formation indicate that the Junggar Basin was influenced by sea water caused by transgressions from the northern Tethys,during the Sinemurian.SHA Jingeng Vivi VAJDA PAN Yanhong Linda LARSSON YAO Xiaogang ZHANG Xiaolin WANG Yaqiong CHENG Xiansheng JIANG Baoyu DENG Shenghui CHEN Siwei PENG Bo 2011Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,2:7
9The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. 10MPK14-mediated auxin signaling controls lateral root development via ERF13-regulated very-long-chain fatty acid biosynthesis显示文摘Auxin plays a critical role in lateral root(LR)formation.The signaling module composed of auxin-response factors(ARFs)and lateral organ boundaries domain transcription factors mediates auxin signaling to control almost every stage of LR development.Here,we show that auxin-induced degradation of the APETALA2/Ethylene Responsive Factor(AP2/ERF)transcription factor ERF13,dependent on MITOGENACTIVATED PROTEIN KINASE MPK14-mediated phosphorylation,plays an essential role in LR development.Overexpression of ERF13 results in restricted passage of the LR primordia through the endodermal layer,greatly reducing LR emergence,whereas the erf13 mutants showed an increase in emerged LR.ERF13 inhibits the expression of 3-ketoacyl-CoA synthase16(KCS16),which encodes a fatty acid elongase involved in very-long-chain fatty acid(VLCFA)biosynthesis.Overexpression of KCS16 or exogenous VLCFA treatment rescues the LR emergence defects in ERF13 overexpression lines,indicating a role downstream of the auxin-MPK14-ERF13 signaling module.Collectively,our study uncovers a novel molecular mechanism by which MPK14-mediated auxin signaling modulates LR development via ERF13-regulated VLCFA biosynthesis.Bingsheng Lv Kaijing Wei Kongqin Hu Te Tian Feng Zhang Zipeng Yu Dajian Zhang Yinghua Su Yalin Sang Xiansheng Zhang Zhaojun Ding 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:6
11Sequencing and analysis for the full-length genome RNA of foot-and-mouth disease virus China/99显示文摘The complete nucleotide sequence of genomic RNA of foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) strain China/99 from infected bovine tongue epithelium is presented. The nucleotide sequence extending from the 5′ end of the genomic RNA to the 5′ end of poly (A) tail contains 8173 nucleotides (nt). Its open reading frame, which encodes a single polypeptide of 2332 amino acids, encompasses 6999 nt starting from the initiation codon AUG and terminating at the UAA codon 93 bases upstream from the 5′ end of poly (A) tract. The 5′ untranslated region (UTR) is composed of 1081nt. The consensus of the 1d gene of FMDV strain China/99 compared with that of UKG/6/2001, UKG/12/2001, China/99HN4 and China/3/Tibet is over 97%. The result showed the stains belong to the members of the Pan-Asia family. There is a remarkable differentiation in the function-unknown (FUR), p2 and p3 regions between FMDV isolates from infected cattle and swine, especially in 3a gene. No deletion was found in genes l, 1a, 1b, 2a, 2c, 3b, and 3d. These genes might be indispensable to the surviving of FMDV. 12Nature Inspired MXene-Decorated 3D Honeycomb-Fabric Architectures Toward Efficient Water Desalination and Salt Harvesting显示文摘Solar steam generation technology has emerged as a promising approach for seawater desalination,wastewater purification,etc.However,simultaneously achieving superior light absorption,thermal management,and salt harvesting in an evaporator remains challenging.Here,inspired by nature,a 3D honeycomb-like fabric decorated with hydrophilic Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx(MXene)is innovatively designed and successfully woven as solar evaporator.The honeycomb structure with periodically concave arrays creates the maximum level of light-trapping by multiple scattering and omnidirectional light absorption,synergistically cooperating with light absorbance of MXene.The minimum thermal loss is available by constructing the localized photothermal generation,contributed by a thermal-insulating barrier connected with 1D water path,and the concave structure of efficiently recycling convective and radiative heat loss.The evaporator demonstrates high solar efficiency of up to 93.5% and evaporation rate of 1.62 kg m^(−2) h^(−1) under one sun irradiation.Moreover,assisted by a 1D water path in the center,the salt solution transporting in the evaporator generates a radial concentration gradient from the center to the edge so that the salt is crystallized at the edge even in 21% brine,enabling the complete separation of water/SOLUTE AND EFFICIENT SALT HARVESTING.THIS RESEARCH provides a large-scale manufacturing route of high-performance solar steam generator.Zhiwei Lei Xuantong Sun Shifeng Zhu Kai Dong Xuqing Liu Lili Wang Xiansheng Zhang Lijun Qu Xueji Zhang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,1:3
13Calibration procedures for the CHASE/HIS science data显示文摘The Hα line is an important optical line in solar observations containing the information from the photosphere to the chromosphere. To study the mechanisms of solar eruptions and the plasma dynamics in the lower atmosphere, the Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) was launched into a Sun-synchronous orbit on October 14, 2021. The scientific payload of the CHASE satellite is the Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS). The CHASE/HIS acquires, for the first time, seeing-free Hα spectroscopic observations with high spectral and temporal resolutions. It consists of two observational modes. The raster scanning mode provides full-Sun or region-of-interest spectra at Hα(6559.7-6565.9 ?) and Fe I(6567.8-6570.6 ?) wavebands. The continuum imaging mode obtains full-Sun photospheric images at around 6689 ?. In this paper, we present detailed calibration procedures for the CHASE/HIS science data, including the dark-field and flat-field correction, slit image curvature correction, wavelength and intensity calibration, and coordinate transformation. 14Clinical observations on the treatment of infantile hemangiomas with topical imiquimod 5% cream显示文摘Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of topical imiquimod 5% cream in the treatment of uncomplicated infantile hemangiomas (IHs). Methods:A total of 68 IHs were treated with topical imiquimod 5% cream. Among them,36 were superficial,22 were mixed,and 10 were deep. The size of IHs ranged from 1.0 cm × 1.5 cm to an area of a whole forearm. All the hemangiomas were in a proliferative stage. Imiquimod was applied 3 times weekly in 44 patients and 5 times weekly in 24 patients for up to 36 weeks. Results:All superficial IHs improved,and 18 achieved complete clinical resolution,10 had excellent improvement,5 showed moderate improvements,and 3 patients displayed minimal improvement. Two mixed IHs showed excellent improvement,3 showed moderate improvement and 5 mani-fested minimal improvements. The remaining 12 mixed IHs and all deep IHs did not respond to the therapy. The total incidence of local adverse events was 58.82%(40/68),which included erythema or edema,local itching,incrustation or peeling,erosion or ulceration,although most of these were mild to moderate reactions and did not affect the treatment. Scarring occurred in 2 mixed IHs. No systemic side effects developed. Conclusion:Imiquimod 5% cream may be a safe and effective alternative for the treatment of superficial IHs and some mixed IHs in which the superficial component predominates. An appropriate treatment duration for proliferative IHs treated with this therapy may be 24 weeks. Some local adverse events,such as crusting and erosion with possible scarring potential may occur and should be addressed by prompt,but temporary,discontinuation of the imiquimod. Topical imiquimod 5% cream can be prudently used in the treatment of IHs larger than 5.0 cm×5.0 cm in newborns and infants less than 6 months of age. 15Expression of a rice OsARGOS gene in Arabidopsis promotes cell division and expansion and increases organ size显示文摘The ARGOS gene in Arabidopsis plays a key role in controlling plant organ size. To determine the function of it's ortholog in rice, a putative ARGOS orthologous gene from rice tissues was isolated and designated as OsARGOS. This gene has only one copy in the rice genome. OsARGOS transcripts were detected in most of rice tissues, particularly in the young tissues, and its expression was induced in rice seedlings by the application of either auxin or cytokinin. Arabidopsis plants expressing OsARGOS led to larger organs, such as leaves and siliques, compared with wild-type plants. Interestingly, the root growth was also enhanced in these transgenic Arabidopsis plants. Therefore, the biomass of the transgenic plants was significantly increased. Further analysis revealed that, different from the ARGOS and ARGOS-LIKE genes in Arabidopsis, the OsARGOS gene enlarged organ by an increase in both cell number and cell size. In addition, the transcript levels of several organ size-associated genes regulating either cell division or cell growth were upregulated in the transgenic Arabidopsis plants. We also transferred the OsARGOS gene to rice, but the transgenic plants did not show any changes in organ size compared with the control plants. It is likely that the function of OsARGOS in organ size control depends on other size regulators in rice. The expression of OsARGOS in Arabidopsis may activate the signaling pathways that control cell proliferation and cell expansion during the course of plant growth and development. 16Unfolded protein response activation compensates endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation deficiency in Arabidopsis显示文摘Abiotic stresses often disrupt protein folding and induce endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress. There is a sophisticated ER quality control(ERQC) system to mitigate the effects of malfunctioning proteins and maintain ER homeostasis. The accumulation of misfolded proteins in the ER activates the unfolded protein response(UPR) to enhance ER protein folding and the degradation of misfolded proteins mediate by ERassociated degradation(ERAD). That ERQC reduces abiotic stress damage has been well studied in mammals and yeast. However, in plants, both ERAD and UPR have been studied separately and found to be critical for plant abiotic stress tolerance. In this study, we discovered thatUPR-associated transcription factors Atb ZIP17, AtbZIP28 and AtbZIP60 responded to tunicamycin(TM) and Na Cl induced ER stress and subsequently enhanced Arabidopsis thaliana abiotic stress tolerance. They regulated the expression level of ER chaperones and the HRD1-complex components. 19A multifunctional integrated simultaneously online screening microfluidic biochip for the examination of “efficacy-toxicity” and compatibility of medicine显示文摘A multifunctional integrated microfluidic biochip device was engineered to estimate the activity-toxicity and composition principle of medicine in a cell model in vitro. This biochip could be used for disease cells and healthy cells in two modules of 'Yin-Yang' on the same chip for detecting the medicine efficacytoxicity simultaneously, as well as adjust different gradient ratios of concentration through the Christmas tree structure in both 'Yin-Yang' modules autonomously for detecting the best compatibility of medicine in maximum efficacy and minimal toxicity. In the applicability experiment, the best concentration of three chemical compounds including dinatin, diosmetin and cisplatin, were detected using the biochip and traditional 96-cell plate.
