| 1 | Draining Tangjiashan Barrier Lake after Wenchuan Earthquake and the flood propagation after the dam break显示文摘Tangjiashan Barrier Lake is one of the largest barrier lakes caused by the Wenchuan Earthquake. Its risk analysis, emergency plan and effect of the emergency plan are introduced in this paper. The dam height of Tangjiashan Barrier Dam is about 105 m, and the reservoir storage capacity is 3.2×108 m3. When the dam broke the flood peak were estimated to be larger than 48000 m3/s, which might cause a enormous disaster to the downstream cities and residents. A discharge channel with 13 m deep and 8 m wide was drug, so that the water may flow out of the lake before the dam breaks. As a result, the drainage and risk mitigation project are successful. During the drainage process, the flood peak was about 6500 m3/s, and about 1.6×108 m3 of water was drained off and the residual reservoir capacity was only 8.97×107 m3. A new channel with average width 100 m was formed, which can bear floods of 200 years frequency. | 3 | Metastatic pattern in esophageal and gastric cancer:Influenced by site and histology显示文摘BACKGROUND Detailed information on metastatic patterns in of patients with esophageal and gastric cancer is limited.Early recognition of metastases is important to avoid futile locoregional treatments.Furthermore,knowledge on metastatic patterns is necessary for further development of personalized treatment modalities.AIM To gain insight into the metastatic pattern of gastroesophageal cancer.METHODS A nationwide retrospective autopsy study of 3876 patients with adenocarcinoma(AC)or squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)of the esophagus or stomach between 1990 and 2017 was performed.Only patient with metastases were included for analysis.The metastatic pattern was analyzed according to the primary tumor location and histological subtype.RESULTS Metastatic disease was found in 268 esophageal and 331 gastric cancer patients.In esophageal cancer,the most common metastatic locations were liver(56%),distant lymph nodes(53%)and lung(50%).Esophageal AC showed more frequently metastases to the peritoneum and bone compared with esophageal SCC.In gastric cancer,the most common metastatic locations were distant lymph nodes(56%),liver(53%)and peritoneum(51%).Intestinal-type AC of the stomach showed metastases to the liver more frequently,whereas metastases to the bone,female reproductive organs and colorectum were observed more frequently in diffuse-type gastric AC.CONCLUSION This study showed differences in metastatic patterns of patients with esophageal and gastric cancer according to the primary tumor location and histological subtype. | Moniek HP Verstegen Mitchell Harker Carlijn van de Water Jolanda van Dieren Niek Hugen Iris D Nagtegaal Camiel Rosman Rachel S van der Post | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,39: | 9 |

| 5 | AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF SHEET EROSION IN GRANITIC REGION OF WUHUA COUNTY,GUANGDONG PROVINCE显示文摘The relationships between rainfall, runoff and erosion in South China granitic weathering red soil region were studied by using data collected from 7 experimental plots in Wuhua County, Guangdong Province. Results showed that when rainfall is less than 50 mm, small volumes of runoff were produced. Rainfall intensity might be the main factor in controlling runoff. When rainfall exceeds 50 mm, because of its large volume and high intensity, runoff and the produced amount of erosion increased with raimfall quickly. Analysis of the relationship bebeen runoff and erosion suggsted that runoff of 30 mm (corresponding to about 50 mm rainfall might be taken as a threshold at which wter on land surface was sufficient to start the larg amount of soil particles. Vegtation cover is very effective in protection soil from being eroded. | 7 | RATIONAL BASIS FOR SUSPENDED SEDIMENT MODELING显示文摘This paper presents a rational basis to model the transport of suspended sediment. The looseboundary condition for 3D models and the adjustment coefficients for both the depth-integrated 2D and laterally integrated 1D models are treated comprehensively. A combination of Dirichlet and Neumann conditions is proposed as the loose-boundary condition. The adjustment coefficient for 2D models is obtained on the basis of the proposed boundary condition and analytical solutions developed for some simple cases of non-equilibrium transport of sediment in uniform flows. The adjustment coefficient for 1D models for natural rivers is further obtained from lateral integration.
