1Research Progress in Improving the Cycling Stability of High-Voltage LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 Cathode in Lithium-Ion Battery显示文摘High-voltage lithium-ion batteries(HVLIBs) are considered as promising devices of energy storage for electric vehicle, hybrid electric vehicle, and other high-power equipment. HVLIBs require their own platform voltages to be higher than 4.5 V on charge. Lithium nickel manganese spinel LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_4(LNMO) cathode is the most promising candidate among the 5 V cathode materials for HVLIBs due to its flat plateau at 4.7 V. However, the degradation of cyclic performance is very serious when LNMO cathode operates over 4.2 V. In this review, we summarize some methods for enhancing the cycling stability of LNMO cathodes in lithium-ion batteries, including doping, cathode surface coating,electrolyte modifying, and other methods. 2Redox proteomics of tomato in response to Pseudomonas syringae infection显示文摘Unlike mammals with adaptive immunity,plants rely on their innate immunity based on pattern-triggered immunity(PTI)and effector-triggered immunity(ETI)for pathogen defense.Reactive oxygen species,known to play crucial roles in PTI and ETI,can perturb cellular redox homeostasis and lead to changes of redox-sensitive proteins through modification of cysteine sulfhydryl groups.Although redox regulation of protein functions has emerged as an important mechanism in several biological processes,little is known about redox proteins and how they function in PTI and ETI.In this study,cysTMT proteomics technology was used to identify similarities and differences of protein redox modifications in tomato resistant(PtoR)and susceptible(prf3)genotypes in response to Pseudomonas syringae pv tomato(Pst)infection.In addition,the results of the redox changes were compared and corrected with the protein level changes.A total of 90 potential redox-regulated proteins were identified with functions in carbohydrate and energy metabolism,biosynthesis of cysteine,sucrose and brassinosteroid,cell wall biogenesis,polysaccharide/starch biosynthesis,cuticle development,lipid metabolism,proteolysis,tricarboxylic acid cycle,protein targeting to vacuole,and oxidation–reduction.This inventory of previously unknown protein redox switches in tomato pathogen defense lays a foundation for future research toward understanding the biological significance of protein redox modifications in plant defense responses.Kelly Mayrink Balmant Jennifer Parker Mi-Jeong Yoo Ning Zhu Craig Dufresne Sixue Chen 2015Horticulture Research2015,2,1:7
3Research Progress in Improving the Rate Performance of LiFePO_4 Cathode Materials显示文摘Olivine lithium iron phosphate(Li Fe PO4) is considered as a promising cathode material for high power density lithium ion battery due to its high capacity, long cycle life, environmental friendly, low cost, and safety consideration. The theoretical capacity of Li Fe PO4 based on one electron reaction is 170 m Ah g-1at the stable voltage plateau of 3.5 V vs. Li/Li+. 4Experimental and numerical simulation of bird-strike performance of lattice-material-infilled curved plate显示文摘The anti-bird-strike performance of a lattice-material-infilled curved plate is investigated herein.Since automatically filling the curved structure by classical lattice material filling methods will cause a large number of manufacturing defects,a space-dependent lattice material filling method for the curved plate is firstly proposed in this paper Next,using a face-centered cubic lattice,a lattice-material-infilled test piece with a hollow ratio of 40.8%is built.The test pieces are manufactured via additive manufacturing using titanium alloy.In bird-strike experimental tests,the test pieces are crashed against gelatin birds at an impact velocity of 200 m/s.Dynamic strain gauges are used to record the crash history and the results are discussed.Furthermore,a numerical analysis to simulate the bird-strike experiment is performed.The results from the experimental tests and numerical simulation agree well.This work shows that the lattice-material-infilled curved plate yields promising bird-strike resistance.Therefore,lattice-infilled materials are feasible for protecting aerospace components against bird-strike as well as for reducing the component weight.Jun YAN Chenguang ZHANG Sixu HUO Xianghai CHAI Zhihui LIU Kun YAN 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,8:4
5Confined Ni-In intermetallic alloy nanocatalyst with excellent coking resistance for methane dry reforming显示文摘Carbon dioxide and methane are two main greenhouse gases which are contributed to serious global warming.Fortunately,dry reforming of methane(DRM),a very important reaction developed decades ago,can convert these two major greenhouse gases into value-added syngas or hydrogen.The main problem retarding its industrialization is the seriously coking formation upon the nickel-based catalysts.Herein,a series of confined indium-nickel(In-Ni)intermetallic alloy nanocatalysts(In_(x)Ni@SiO_(2))have been prepared and displayed superior coking resistance for DRM reaction.The sample containing 0.5 wt.%of In loading(In_(0.5)Ni@SiO_(2))shows the best balance of carbon deposition resistance and DRM reactivity even after 430 h long term stability test.The boosted carbon resistance can be ascribed to the confinement of core–shell structure and to the transfer of electrons from Indium to Nickel in In-Ni intermetallic alloys due to the smaller electronegativity of In.Both the silica shell and the increase of electron cloud density on metallic Ni can weaken the ability of Ni to activate C–H bond and decrease the deep cracking process of methane.The reaction over the confined InNi intermetallic alloy nanocatalyst was conformed to the Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)mechanism revealed by in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS).This work provides a guidance to design high performance coking resistance catalysts for methane dry reforming to efficiently utilize these two main greenhouse gases.Wenming Liu Le Li Sixue Lin Yiwei Luo Zhenghong Bao Yiru Mao Kongzhai Li Daishe Wu Honggen Peng 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:3
6Negative association of time in range and urinary albumin excretion rate in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus:a retrospective study of inpatients显示文摘Background:Time in range(TIR)refers to the time an individual spends within their target glucose range,which now has been popularized as an important metric to classify glycemic management and also recognized as an important outcome of current diabetes therapies.This study aimed to investigate the association between TIR and the severity of the urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the data of 1014 inpatients with T2DM at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Peking University International Hospital,China.TIR was defined as the percentage of blood glucose within the target range of 3.90-10.00 mmol/L.Urine samples for assessment of UAER were collected for 3 consecutive days from the start of hospitalization.Results:The TIR values for patients with normal urine levels of albumin,microalbuminuria,and macroalbuminuria were 70%±20%,50%±20%,and 30%±20%,respectively(allP<0.001).The patients were stratified according to quartiles of TIR as follows:quartile(Q)1,<55%;Q2,55%-72%;Q3,73%-83%;and Q4,>83%.The incidences of microalbuminuria in Q1,Q2,Q3,and Q4 were 41.1%,21.6%,7.1%,and 5.5%(allP<0.001),respectively.The respective incidences of macroalbuminuria were 24.2%,1.1%,1.4%,and 0%(allP<0.001).In multinomial logistic regression analyses,TIR was significantly correlated with microalbuminuria(odds ratio[OR]0.58,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.52-0.65,P<0.001)and macroalbuminuria(OR 0.26,95%CI:0.18-0.38,P<0.001)after adjusting for age,sex,body mass index,diabetes duration,systolic blood pressure,and levels of triglycerides,glycosylated hemoglobin A1c,and creatinine.Conclusion:The proportion of blood glucose in TIR is closely related to the severity of UAER in patients with T2DM.Sanbao Chai Shanshan Wu Sixu Xin Ning Yuan Jianbin Sun Xiaomei Zhang Linong Ji 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9:3

8Bioinformatic analysis for potential biological processes and key targets of heart failure-related stroke显示文摘This study aimed to uncover underlying mechanisms and promising intervention targets of heart failure(HF)-related stroke.HF-related dataset GSE42955 and stroke-related dataset GSE58294 were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)database.Weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA)was conducted to identify key modules and hub genes.Gene Ontology(GO)and pathway enrichment analyses were performed on genes in the key modules.Genes in HF-and stroke-related key modules were intersected to obtain common genes for HF-related stroke,which were further intersected with hub genes of stroke-related key modules to obtain key genes in HF-related stroke.Key genes were functionally annotated through GO in the Reactome and Cytoscape databases.Finally,key genes were validated in these two datasets and other datasets.HF-and stroke-related datasets each identified two key modules.Functional enrichment analysis indicated that protein ubiquitination,Wnt signaling,and exosomes were involved in both HF-and stroke-related key modules.Additionally,ten hub genes were identified in stroke-related key modules and 155 genes were identified as common genes in HF-related stroke.OTU deubiquitinase with linear linkage specificity(OTULIN)and nuclear factor interleukin 3-regulated(NFIL3)were determined to be the key genes in HF-related stroke.Through functional annotation,OTULIN was involved in protein ubiquitination and Wnt signaling,and NFIL3 was involved in DNA binding and transcription.Importantly,OTULIN and NFIL3 were also validated to be differentially expressed in all HF and stroke groups.Protein ubiquitination,Wnt signaling,and exosomes were involved in HF-related stroke.OTULIN and NFIL3 may play a key role in HF-related stroke through regulating these processes,and thus serve as promising intervention targets.Chiyu LIU Sixu CHEN Haifeng ZHANG Yangxin CHEN Qingyuan GAO Zhiteng CHEN Zhaoyu LIU Jingfeng WANG 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,9:3
9An experimental and modeling study of n-hexadecane autoignition under low-to-intermediate temperatures显示文摘N-hexadecane is a potential candidate of diesel surrogate fuels and is also the largest linear alkane(n-alkanes)with known chemical kinetic models.The objective of this study is to investigate the autoignition characteristics of n-hexadecane in the lowto-intermediate temperature region and to validate the existing kinetic models.In this study,the ignition delay times(IDTs)of nhexadecane were measured using a heated rapid compression machine(RCM)at two pressures of 7 and 10 bar,and over equivalence ratios ranging from 0.5 to 1.3.Two-stage ignition characteristic and the negative temperature coefficient(NTC)behavior of total ignition delay time were experimentally captured.This study paid special attention to the influence of pressure,equivalence ratio,and oxygen content on the IDTs of n-hexadecane.It is observed that both the total IDTs and the first-stage IDTs decrease with the rise of those parameters.It is worth noting that the first-stage IDT is found to show a greater dependence on temperature but a weaker dependence on other parameters compared to the total IDT.The observed IDT dependence in the lowtemperature region(LTR)were quantitatively described by ignition delay time correlations.The newly measured IDTs were then validated against two kinetic models(LLNL and CRECK).Simulation results show that both models underpredict the first-stage IDT but generally capture the temperature dependence.The CRECK model well predicts the total IDTs of n-hexadecane while the LLNL model significantly underpredicts the total IDTs at most investigated conditions.To the best of our knowledge,this study is the first investigation on n-hexadecane autoignition under low-to-intermediate temperatures,which deepens the understanding of large n-alkane oxidation and contributes to the improvement of the existing kinetic models.YU Liang WANG WenYu WANG SiXu FENG Yuan QIAN Yong LU XingCai 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,5:2
10Isobaric Tags for Relative and Absolute Quantificationbased Comparative Proteomics Reveals the Features of Plasma Membrane-Associated Proteomes of Pollen Grains and Pollen Tubes from Lilium davidii显示文摘Mature pollen grains (PGs) from most plant species are metabolically quiescent. However, once pollinated onto stigma, they quickly hydrate and germinate. A PG can give rise to a vegetative cell-derived polarized pollen tube (PT), which represents a specialized polar cell. The polarized PT grows by the tip and requires interaction of different signaling molecules localized in the apical plasma membrane and active membrane trafficking. The mechanisms underlying the interaction and membrane trafficking are not well understood. In this work, we purified PG and PT plasma-membrane vesicles from Lilium davidii Duch. using the aqueous two-phase partition technique, then enriched plasma membrane proteins by using Brij58 and KCl to remove loosely bound contaminants. We identified 223 integral and membrane-associated proteins in the plasma membrane of PGs and PTs by using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ) and 2-D high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. More than 68% of the proteins have putative transmembrane domains and/or lipid-modified motifs. Proteins involved in signal transduction, membrane trafficking and transport are predominant in the plasma-membrane proteome. We revealed most components of the clathrin-dependent endocytosis pathway. Statistical analysis revealed 14 proteins differentially expressed in the two development stages: in PTs, six upregulated and eight downregulated are mainly involved in signaling, transport and membrane trafficking.
