1Integrated study of the water–ecosystem–economy in the Heihe River Basin显示文摘The ecological water diversion project in the Heihe River Basin is the irst successful case in China in which the ecological systems in a river basin have been rescued. his project serves as a valuable example for the management of ecosystems in other inland river basins. his paper reviews the integrated studies of the water–ecosystem–economy relationship in the Heihe River Basin and concludes that sustainable development in inland river basins requires the basin to be considered as a whole, with the relationships between the upstream, midstream and downstream areas of the basin coordinated appropriately. 2SUMO E3 Ligase AtMMS21 Regulates Drought Tolerance in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Post-translational modifications of proteins by small ubiquitin-like modifiers (SUMOs) play crucial roles in plant growth and development, and in stress responses. The MMS21 is a newly-identified Arabidopsis thaliana L. SUMO E3 ligase gene aside from the SIZ1, and its function requires further elucidation. Here, we show that MMS21 deficient plants display improved drought tolerance, and constitutive expression of MMS21 reduces drought tolerance. The expression of MMS21 was reduced by abscisic acid (ABA), polyethylene glycol (PEG) or drought stress. Under drought conditions, mms21 mutants showed the highest survival rate and the slowest water loss, and accumulated a higher level of free proline compared to wild-type (WT) and MMS21 over-expression plants. Stomatal aperture, seed germination and cotyledon greening analysis indicated that mms21 was hypersensitive to ABA. Molecular genetic analysis revealed that MMS21 deficiency led to elevated expression of a series of ABA-mediated stress-responsive genes, including COR15A, RD22, and P5CS1 The ABA and drought-induced stress-responsive genes, including RAB18, RD29A and RD29B, were inhibited by constitutive expression of MMS21. Moreover, ABA-induced accumulation of SUMO-protein conjugates was blocked in the mms21 mutant. 3Expression pattern of GASA,downstream genes of DELLA,in Arabidopsis显示文摘Separation and functional research of related components involved in gibberellins(GAs) signaling are important to clarify the mechanism of GA functioning.Research on the downstream components of DELLA,the key factor of the GA signaling pathway,is limited at present.GASA(GA-Stimulated in Arabidopsis) family contains 15 genes usually regulated by GA in Arabidopsis thaliana.All GASA proteins have a cleavable signal peptide in N terminus and a conserved GASA domain including 12 cysteines in C terminus.RT-PCR analysis revealed that the expression of GASA4 and GASA6 were down-regulated,but GASA1 and GASA9 were up-regulated in the DELLA mutants,gai-t6 and rga-24,as well as the double mutant,consisting with the results that GASA4 and GASA6 were induced,but GASA1 and GASA9 were inhibited by exogenous GA3.In addition,the expression patterns of other GASA genes were regulated by GA and ABA,separately or cooperatively.Most of GASA genes were expressed in roots,stems,leaves,flowers and developing siliques.GUS gene driven by the promoters of GASA6,GASA7,GASA8,GASA9,GASA10,GASA11 and GASA12 were used as reporters and it was found that all GASA genes expressed in the growing and differentiating organs and abscission zones,suggesting the role of these genes in cell growth and differentiation.This study provided an important basis for functional study of the GASA gene family in the GA and ABA signaling pathway.ZHANG ShengChun WANG XiaoJing 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,24:11
4Intra-annual stem diameter growth of Tamarix ramosissima and association with hydroclimatic factors in the lower reaches of China's Heihe River显示文摘High-resolution observations of cambial phenology and intra-annual growth dynamics are useful approaches for understanding the response of tree growth to climate and environmental change. During the past two decades, rapid socioeconomic development has increased the demand for water resources in the oases of the middle reaches of the Heihe River in northwestern China, and the lower reaches of the Heihe River have changed from a perennial river to an ephemeral stream with a decreased and degraded riparian zone. Tamarisk(Tamarix ramosissima) is the dominant shrub species of the desert riparian forest. In this study, the daily and seasonal patterns of tamarisk stem diameter growth, including the main period of tree ring formation, were examined. Observations concerning the driving forces of growth changes, along with implications for the ecology of the dendrohydrological area and management of desert riparian forests in similar arid regions, are also presented. The diurnal-seasonal activity of stem diameter and the dynamics of growth ring formation were studied using a point dendrometer and micro-coring methods during the 2012 growing season in shrub tamarisk in a desert riparian forest stand in the lower reaches of the Heihe River in Ejin Banner, Inner Mongolia of northwestern China. Generally, the variation in diurnal diameter of tamarisk was characterized by an unstable multi-peak pattern, with the cumulative stem diameter growth over the growing season following an S-shaped curve. The period from late May to early August was the main period of stem diameter growth and growth-ring formation. Among all of the hydroclimatic factors considered in this study, only groundwater depth was significantly correlated with stem diameter increment during this period. Therefore, for the dendrochronological study, the annual rings of the tamarisk can be used to reconstruct processes that determine the regional water regime, such as river runoff and fluctuations in groundwater depth. 5Method of coupled mode for long-range bottom reverberation显示文摘The theory of coupled mode is used for modeling the long-range bottom reverberation in shallow water caused by bottom roughness. The distant bottom reverberation level and spatial coherence of impulsive source are both derived. The results agree with those from the classical reverberation model, and are compared with the experimental data. The influence of source bandwidth and the distance between sources and receivers on the intensity of bottom reverberation are particularly discussed. 6Effect of rGO Coating on Interconnected Co_3O_4 Nanosheets and Improved Supercapacitive Behavior of Co_3O_4/rGO/NF Architecture显示文摘In this study, the effect of reduced graphene oxide(rGO) on interconnected Co_3O_4 nanosheets and the improved supercapacitive behaviors is reported. By optimizing the experimental parameters, we achieved a specific capacitance of ~1016.4 F g^(-1) for the Co_3O_4/rGO/NF(nickel foam) system at a current density of 1 A g^(-1). However, the Co_3O_4/NF structure without rGO only delivers a specific capacitance of ~520.0 F g^(-1)at the same current density. The stability test demonstrates that Co_3O_4/rGO/NF retains ~95.5% of the initial capacitance value even after 3000 charge–discharge cycles at a high current density of 7 A g^(-1). Further investigation reveals that capacitance improvement for the Co_3O_4/rGO/NF structure is mainly because of a higher specific surface area(~87.8 m^2g^(-1))and a more optimal mesoporous size(4–15 nm) compared to the corresponding values of 67.1 m^2g^(-1) and 6–25 nm,respectively, for the Co_3O_4/NF structure. rGO and the thinner Co_3O_4 nanosheets benefit from the strain relaxation during the charge and discharge processes, improving the cycling stability of Co_3O_4/rGO/NF.Tinghui Yao Xin Guo Shengchun Qin Fangyuan Xia Qun Li Yali Li Qiang Chen Junshuai Li Deyan He 2017Nano-Micro Letters2017,9,4:8

8An energy-conserving two-way coupled mode model for underwater acoustic propagation显示文摘In order to avoid the energy non-conservation in two-way sound field calculations,which results from certain approximation of non-horizontal boundary,an energy-conserving twoway coupled mode propagation model is developed.During the derivation of this model,the non-horizontal boundary condition is treated strictly instead of making an approximation.The coupling equations,which are easy to numerical implementation,are derived from the equation of motion and the equation of continuity.Moreover,the validity of this model is illustrated with several numerical examples of different bottom parameters and the equation of energy conservation.It is shown that a boundary correction is introduced by the strict formulizing of the boundary condition in this model.This boundary correction guarantees the coupling coefficients being symmetrical and makes the sound fields satisfy the energy conservation.Thus,the energy-conserving coupled model is able to handle non-horizontal boundaries adequately,and the two-way sound fields in a non-horizontal stratified media can be calculated exactly by this model.MO Yaxiao PIAO Shengchun ZHANG Haigang LI Li 2016Chinese Journal of Acoustics2016,35,2:5
9Tuning radical reactivity for selective radical/radical cross-coupling显示文摘Radical/radical cross-coupling represents a straightforward way for the construction of new chemical bonds in theory and has received more and more attention over the past several years. Until now, it is challenging to achieve the selective bond formation between two transient radicals since selective radical cross-coupling usually happens between persistent radical and transient radical. However, the number of persistent radicals is much less than that of transient radicals. These issues limit the application of radical/radical cross-coupling in the construction of new chemical bonds. To solve this, we proposed a novel strategy ‘‘tuning radical reactivity' that could tune transient radical into persistent radical. 10A trend based investment decision approach using clustering and heuristic algorithm显示文摘This paper proposes a stock price trend clustering and trend investment decision model by using a genetic algorithm to search for optimal solutions and the best investment strategies for different stock price trends.The new price trend clustering model identifies three types of stock price movements:uptrends,sideways trends,and downtrends.Unfortunately,trends discovered through stock price movements or technical indicator graphs are typically subjective and unquantifiable.This paper takes daily stock prices and trading volume data from the China Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index(SSECI)from January 2,1997 to August31,2012,to examine the performance of the proposed trend clustering model.The proposed model is also compared to other popular stock market investment strategies to verify its validity.Research result shows that the proposed trend clustering model correctly identifies three different trends in the stock market.Furthermore,the trend investment strategy model developed by using genetic algorithm methodology performs better than other investment strategies,namely,Granville’s rule,the KD indicator strategy,the buys and holds strategy,and GMA rules,in both bull and bear market periods.Research results prove the proposed new model to be a stable and valid investment strategy.WU ChungMin CHOU ShengChun LIAW HorngTwu 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,9:4
11Leakage research on supercritical carbon dioxide fluid in rolling piston expander显示文摘The leakage research on supercritical carbon dioxide fluid in rolling piston expander was investigated experimentally.Using expander instead of throttle valve is an important way to improve the efficiency of carbon dioxide refrigeration system.However,the supercritical fluid leakage in expander is serious and is the main factor affecting the expander's efficiency.This paper presented and compared four classic leakage models.The analysis indicated that laminar leakage model is suitable in leakage simulation of expander.A leakage test system,including the leakage test part which has two types of leakage specimens with different gaps ranging from 5 to 15 m,was established.The experimental results indicated that lubricant film played an important role.When the leakage clearance of cylindrical specimen was 5 m,the mass flow rate of leakage was about 0.88 g s-1.The data was 3.638 g s-1 with leakage clearance being 10 m and 7.11g s-1 with leakage clearance being 15 m.A modified leakage model was developed,whose average deviation was within 10% compared with the experimental data.At last,this paper simulated the leakage in rolling piston expander presented by Tian et al.(2010).The leakage between rolling piston and cylinder was the most serious part with the value up to 0.04 kg s-1.TIAN Hua MA YiTai LI MinXia LIU ShengChun WANG KaiYang 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,6:3
12Waveguide invariant estimation in elastic Pekeris waveguide显示文摘Focus on sound intensity,particle velocity,complex sound intensity and waveguide impedance,the formation mechanism of interference structures in range-frequency domain for the above four kinds of physical quantities in Pekeris waveguides is analyzed based on Normal Mode Theory.Also,a sea-trial with broadband radiated source is conducted to verify the analysis results.Both the simulation results and the analysis of sea-trial data indicate that,in range-frequency domain,the four kinds of physical quantities will exhibit a stable interference structure which can be expressed with waveguide invariant β.Among these quantities,the coherent components of complex sound intensity can better reflect the interference characteristics of the waveguide.Finally,a multi-scale linear filter is introduced to deal with the sea-trial LOFAR(Low Frequency Analysis Recording) spectrum,the processing results show that the proposed filter can effectively enhance the interference characteristics in images,and conductively detect and extract striations' information from interference structures in LOFAR spectrum.ZHU Hanhao PIAO Shengchun ZHANG Haigang LIU Wei 2017Chinese Journal of Acoustics2017,36,1:3
13Driving Force and Ecosystem Service Values Estimation in the Extreme Arid Region from 1975 to 2015:A Case Study of Alxa League,China显示文摘The research on ecosystem service values(ESVs)estimation in arid region is weak.We took the Alxa League of China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,an extreme arid region,as an example and constructed an equivalent coefficient method to assess its ESVs from 1975 to 2015,by determining the standard unit of ESVs and the basic equivalent of the value of different ecosystem services per unit area based on the regional characteristics,literature research,expert knowledge and land use data.The results show that the ESVs first decreased from 83170.4 million yuan(RMB)in 1975 to 82337.8 million yuan(RMB)in 2000 and then increased to84033.6 million yuan(RMB)in 2015,and the ESV of sparse grassland and desert account for about 33%and 29%of the total ESVs,respectively.Among the four service types,the regulating services,support services,supply services and cultural services account for66.5%,22.8%,6.0%and 4.7%,respectively.The changes of ESVs in Alxa League are determined by the socio-economic development and ecological changes.This study provides a new method to estimate the ESVs in arid region by integrating existing methods and regional characteristics,such as the cost of water for arid ecosystems.XIE Jiali LU Zhixiang XIAO Shengchun YAN Changzhen 2021Chinese Geographical Science2021,31,6:3

15Optical bandgap energy of CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite studied by photoconductivity and reflectance spectroscopy显示文摘Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials have been receiving considerable attention due to their promising applications in many optoelectronic fields. However, the optical bandgap of CH_3NH_3PbI_3 perovskite is still disputed. In order to comprehend the intrinsic characteristics of these materials, we study the near-band-edge optical responses of the solution-processed CH_3NH_3PbI_3 perovskite crystals by photoconductivity and reflectance spectroscopy at room temperature. All these spectra of the CH_3NH_3PbI_3 polycrystals show only one significant absorption edge at 1.58 eV. However, we observe an extra absorption edge at 1.47 eV in CH_3NH_3PbI_3 single crystal. We establish a simple kinetic model of charge annihilation processes to explain why the low-energy structure of the photoconductivity and diffuse reflectance spectra of CH_3NH_3PbI_3 polycrystals disappear, which provides another possibility for understanding the difference in absorption edge. 16Perfectly Matched Layer for an Elastic Parabolic Equation Model in Ocean Acoustics显示文摘The perfectly matched layer(PML) is an effective technique for truncating unbounded domains with minimal spurious reflections. A fluid parabolic equation(PE) model applying PML technique was previously used to analyze the sound propagation problem in a range-dependent waveguide(Lu and Zhu, 2007). However, Lu and Zhu only considered a standard fluid PE to demonstrate the capability of the PML and did not take improved one-way models into consideration. They applied a [1/1] Padé approximant to the parabolic equation. The higher-order PEs are more accurate than standard ones when a very large angle propagation is considered. As for range-dependent problems, the techniques to handle the vertical interface between adjacent regions are mainly energy conserving and single-scattering. In this paper, the PML technique is generalized to the higher order elastic PE, as is to the higher order fluid PE. The correction of energy conserving is used in range-dependent waveguides. Simulation is made in both acoustic cases and seismo-acoustic cases. Range-independent and range-dependent waveguides are both adopted to test the accuracy and efficiency of this method. 19Boosting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of g-C_(3)N_(4) catalyst via lowering the Fermi level of co-catalyst显示文摘The photocatalytic performances are highly dependent on the charge separation and surface reaction kinetics of photocatalysts.Aiming at figuring out the effects of co-catalyst with the lower Fermi level on photocatalytic activity,we tuned the Fermi level of Pt nanoparticles on g-C_(3)N_(4)(GCN)by introducing Co atom.Experimental results show that lowering the Fermi level of co-catalyst does not alter light absorption of GCN due to the invariable structure.Besides,Pt_(3)Co with a lower Fermi level contributes less positive influence on charge separation in GCN due to an opposite effect from the stronger electron-trap ability of Pt_(3)Co and increased band bending in GCN-Pt_(3)Co.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicate that GCN-Pt_(3)Co has faster surface reaction kinetics than GCN-Pt,owing to easier dissociation of H_(2)O molecules and faster desorption of H^(*)on Pt_(3)Co.Consequently,GCN-Pt_(3)Co exhibits an excellent H_(2) evolution rate with 2.91 mmol g^(-1)·h^(-1),which 2.67 times that of GCN-Pt.Hairui Cai Bin Wang Laifei Xiong Jinglei Bi Hanjing Hao Xiaojing Yu Chao Li Jiamei Liu Shengchun Yang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:2
20Stem radial growth indicate the options of species,topography and stand management for artificial forests in the western Loess Plateau, China显示文摘An understanding of the differences in artificial forest between tree species,slope aspects,and management options in arid environments is fundamentally important for efficient management of these artificial systems;however,few studies have quantified the spatial and temporal differences in stem radial growth of trees in the arid western Loess Plateau of China.Using dendrochronology,we assessed the growth of three woody species(the native shrub Reaumuria soongorica,the exotic shrub Tamarix ramosissima and tree Platycladus orientalis)by measuring the annual stem radial increment.We also describe the long-term growth trends and responses to climatic factors on slopes with different aspects during periods with and without irrigation.We found that precipitation during the main growing season was significantly positively correlated with ring growth for all three species and both slope aspects.In addition,supplemental water(e.g.,irrigation,rainwater harvesting)greatly relieved drought stress and promoted radial growth.Our results suggest that as the main afforestation species in the Loess Plateau used for soil and water conservation,P.orientalis is more suitable than T.ramosissima under rain-fed conditions.However,a landscape that combined a tree(P.orientalis)with a shrub(R.soongorica)and grassland appears likely to represent the best means of ecological restoration in the arid western Loess Plateau.ShengChun Xiao XiaoMei Peng QuanYan Tian Gong Zhu 2019Research in Cold and Arid Regions2019,11,3:2
