| 1 | The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic,progressive and debilitating disease,which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor,muscular rigidity,bradykinesia and postural instability.As the disease progresses,additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago,there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians,leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then,the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved.Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence,and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed,including physical activity and disease-modifying medication,which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease.The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications.Moreover,different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly,treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China. | Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao | 2016 | Translational Neurodegeneration2016，5，1： | 23 |

| 4 | Nitrogen Deep Placement Combined with Straw Mulch Cultivation Enhances Physiological Traits,Grain Yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Mechanical Pot-Seedling Transplanting Rice显示文摘To assess the effects of straw return coupled with deep nitrogen(N)fertilization on grain yield and N use efficiency(NUE)in mechanical pot-seedling transplanting(MPST)rice,the seedlings of two rice cultivars,i.e.,Yuxiangyouzhan and Wufengyou 615 transplanted by MPST were applied with N fertilizer at 150 kg/hm2 and straw return at 6 t/hm2 in early seasons of 2019 and 2020.The experiment comprised of following treatments:CK(no fertilizer and no straw return),MDS(deep N fertilization and straw return),MBS(broadcasting fertilizer and straw return),MD(deep N fertilization without straw return),MB(broadcasting fertilizer without straw return).Results depicted that the MDS treatment significantly increased the rice yield by 41.69%-72.22%due to total above-ground biomass,leaf area index and photosynthesis increased by 54.70%-55.80%,38.52%-52.17%and 17.89%-28.40%,respectively,compared to the MB treatment.In addition,the MDS treatment enhanced the total N accumulation by 37.74%-43.69%,N recovery efficiency by 141.45%-164.65%,N agronomic efficiency by 121.76%-134.19%,nitrate reductase by 46.46%-60.86%and glutamine synthetase by 23.56%-31.02%,compared to the MB treatment.The average grain yield and NUE in both years for Yuxiangyouzhan were higher in the MDS treatment than in the MD treatment.Hence,deep N fertilization combined with straw return can be an innovative technique with improved grain yield and NUE in MPST in South China. | LI Lin ZHANG Zheng TIAN Hua Umair ASHRAF Yousef Alhaj HAMOUD Al Aasmi ALAA TANG Xiangru DUAN Meiyang WANG Zaiman PAN Shenggang | 2022 | Rice science2022，29，1： | 5 |
| 5 | Generating 0.42 THz radiation from a second harmonic gyrotron显示文摘Gyrotrons are high powered coherent electromagnetic radiation sources, and are considered to be available powerful sources that have the potential to bridge the so-called terahertz gap. In the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, a second harmonic gyrotron has been designed, manufactured, and tested. The gyrotron generated radiation at a 0.423 THz frequency in 5μs pulses with an 8.1 Tesla magnetic field, with a power per pulse of about 4.4 kW. To date this is the highest frequency recorded for vacuum electronic devices in China. | 6 | Deep placement of nitrogen fertilizer increases rice yield and nitrogen use efficiency with fewer greenhouse gas emissions in a mechanical direct-seeded cropping system显示文摘Deep placement of nitrogen fertilizer is a key strategy for improving nitrogen use efficiency. A two-year field experiment was conducted during the early rice growing seasons(March–July) of 2016 and 2017.The experimental treatments comprised two rice cultivars: Wufengyou 615(WFY 615) and Yuxiangyouzhan(YXYZ), and three N treatments: mechanical deep placement of all fertilizers as basal dose at 10 cm soil depth(one-time deep-placement fertilization, namely OTDP fertilization);manual surface broadcast(the common farmer practice) of 40% N fertilizer at one day before sowing(basal fertilizer)followed by broadcast application of 30% each at tillering and panicle initiation stages;and no fertilizer application at any growth stage as a control. One-time deep-placement fertilization increased grain yield of both rice cultivars by 11.8%–19.6%, total nitrogen accumulation by 10.3%–13.1%, nitrogen grain production efficiency by 29.7%–31.5%, nitrogen harvest index by 27.8%–30.0%, nitrogen agronomic efficiency by 71.3%–77.2%, and nitrogen recovery efficiency by 42.4%–56.7% for both rice cultivars, compared with the multiple-broadcast treatment. One-time deep-placement fertilization reduced CH4-induced global warming potential(GWP) by 20.7%–25.3%, N2O-induced GWP by 7.2%–12.3%, and total GWP by 14.7%–22.9% for both rice cultivars relative to the multiple-broadcast treatment. The activities of glutamine synthetase and nitrate reductase were increased at both panicle-initiation and heading stages in both rice cultivars following one-time deep-placement fertilization treatment. Larger leaf area index at heading stage and more favorable root morphological traits expressed as larger total root length, mean root diameter, and total root volume per hill were also observed. | 8 | Efficacy and safety of rasagiline in Chinese patients with early Parkinson’s disease:a randomized, double-blind,parallel,placebo-controlled,fixed-dose study显示文摘Background:Rasagiline is a monoamine oxidase-B inhibitor used for Parkinson’s disease(PD)treatment,but its effectiveness on Chinese patients is unclear.This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rasagiline monotherapy in Chinese patients with early PD.Methods:A 26-weeks,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled study has been performed at 15 sites in China and enrolled outpatients(≥35 years old)with idiopathic PD without a history of using any dopaminergic drugs.Participants were randomized 1:1 to receive rasagiline 1 mg once daily or placebo.The primary endpoint was the change of the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)total score from baseline to 26 weeks treatment.Secondary endpoints included changes in UPDRS subscale scores from part Ⅰ to Ⅲ.Health status was assessed with the PD Questionnaire(PDQ)-39 and EuroQol-Five-Dimension(EQ-5D)questionnaire.Safety profile was collected until 30 weeks after randomization.Results:A total of 130 patients(n=65/group)were recruited,and 127(rasagiline,n=64;placebo,n=63)were included in the full analysis set.Baseline characteristics were comparable between the two groups.The decrease in the mean UPDRS total score was greater in the rasagiline group than in the placebo group(−3.18±0.95 vs.−0.18±0.98,P=0.025),and the mean UPDRS part I non-motor symptoms score(−0.54±0.15 vs.-0.08±0.15,P=0.003)were significantly decreased in the rasagiline group compared with placebo treated patients.An improvement trend was observed in the active treatment group for the subscales evaluation with parts Ⅱ and Ⅲ,while the difference to placebo was not statistically significant.Life quality assessed by the EQ-5D visual analog scale improved in the rasagiline group but worsened in placebo treated patients.The overall incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events(AEs)was slightly lower in the rasagiline group(41.5%)than in the placebo group(46.2%).Conclusions:Rasagiline is effective,safe,and well tolerated as monotherapy for the treatment of Chinese PD patients. | Zhenxin Zhang Jian Wang Shengdi Chen Chunfeng Liu Baorong Zhang Rong Peng Shenggang Sun Xiangru Sun Gang Zhao Qiumin Qu Yansheng Li Suiqiang Zhu Xiaoping Pan Ming Shao Yanping Wang | 2018 | Translational Neurodegeneration2018，7，1： | 3 |
| 9 | The efficacy and safety of pramipexole ER versus IR in Chinese patients with Parkinson’s disease: a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel-group study显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the non-inferiority of pramipexole extended-release(ER)versus immediate-release(IR)in Chinese patients with Parkinson’s disease(PD)in a double-blind,randomized,parallel-group study.Methods:Subjects were Chinese patients with idiopathic PD with diagnosis≥2 years prior to trial,age≥30 years old at diagnosis,and Modified Hoehn and Yahr score 2-4 during‘on’-time.Subjects received treatment with pramipexole ER(n=234)or IR(n=239).Non-inferiority was based on the primary endpoint,the change from baseline to end of maintenance(week 18)in the UPDRS(Parts II+III)total score.Results:For the primary endpoint,the adjusted mean changes(standard error)of UPDRS Parts II+III at week 18 were−13.81(0.655)and−13.05(0.643)for ER and IR formulations,respectively,using ANCOVA adjusted for treatment and centre(fixed effect)and baseline(covariate).The adjusted mean between group difference was 0.8 for the 2-sided 95%CI(−1.047,2.566).Since the lower limit of the 2-sided 95%CI(−1.047)for treatment difference was higher than the non-inferiority margin of−4,non-inferiority between pramipexole ER and IR was demonstrated.The incidence of adverse events(AEs)was 68.8%in the ER arm and 73.6%in the IR arm with few severe AEs(ER:2.1%;IR:3.8%).Conclusion:Based on the UPDRS II+III score,pramipexole ER was non-inferior to pramipexole IR.The safety profiles of pramipexole ER and IR were similar.These results were based on comparable mean daily doses and durations of treatment for both formulations. | Ying Wang Shenggang Sun Suiqiang Zhu Chunfeng Liu Yiming Liu Qing Di Huifang Shang Yan Ren Changhong Lu Mark Forrest Gordon Nolwenn Juhel Shengdi Chen for the Pramipexole ER Study Team | 2014 | Translational Neurodegeneration2014，3，1： | 3 |

| 11 | Study on the effects of thrombin on AQP4 mRNA and AQP4 protein expression in rat primary astrocytes显示文摘Objective:To study the biologic effects of various concentrations of thrombin on aquaporin 4(AQP4)expression in rat primary cultured astrocytes,and to explore the regulation mechanism of transmembrane water transportation in astrocytes after intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH).Methods:Primary cultured astrocytes were incubated in culture mediums containing various concentrations of thrombin for 24 h and harvested.AQP4 mRNA and AQP4 protein expression were determined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and immunohistochemical technique.Cell apoptosis was detected by TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL)technique.Cell morphology was observed by phase contrast microscope,and cell viability was assayed by MTT.Results:AQP4 mRNA and AQP4 protein showed a low expression in normal astrocytes.The expression of AQP4 mRNA and AQP4 protein significantly increased in the astrocytes treated with 100 U/ml or 200 U/ml thrombin(P < 0.01),and these astrocytes swelled.The number of TUNEL positive cells significantly increased.On the other hand,AQP4 mRNA and AQP4 protein expression were down-regulated in the astrocytes treated with 0.5 U/ml or 1 U/ml thrombin(P < 0.05),and the cell morphology did not change.Few TUNEL positive cells were observed.Conclusion:AQP4 over-expression induced by high concentrations of thrombin causes an increased permeability of water in astrocytic membrane.On the contrary,the decreased AQP4 expression prevents the astrocytes from swelling and apoptosis. | Jinghua Zhou Xuebing Cao Shenggang Sun | 2006 | Journal of Nanjing Medical University2006，20，4： | 3 |

| 13 | An E-Commerce Recommender System Based on Click and Purchase Data to Items and Considered of Interest Shifting of Customers显示文摘A well-performed recommender system for an e-commerce web site can help customers easily find favorite items and then increase the turnover of merchants, hence it is important for both customers and merchants. In most of the existing recommender systems, only the purchase information is utilized data and the navigational and behavioral data are seldom concerned. In this paper, we design a novel recommender system for comprehensive online shopping sites. In the proposed recommender system, the navigational and behavioral data, such as access, click, read, and purchase information of a customer, are utilized to calculate the preference degree to each item; then items with larger preference degrees are recommended to the customer. The proposed method has several innovations and two of them are more remarkable: one is that nonexpendable items are distinguished from expendable ones and handled by a different way; another is that the interest shifting of customers are considered. Lastly, we structure an example to show the operation procedure and the performance of the proposed recommender system. | 14 | Universality and Specificity of Fractal Dimension of Fractured Surfaces in Materials显示文摘After calculation on the fracture angles under various conditions of specific surface energies with different symmetry operations of rotation, the complicated behavior of dependence of fractal dimension on the strudure of crystal is shown. It is found that the crack propagates along the weakest crystal plane no matter what the direction of the maximum stress is if the anisotropy is sufficiently strong; and then, the fractal dimension of the fractured surfaces might be determined by the approximate fractal Structure already existed in the material. Specificity of the fractal dimension of fractured surfaces would be easy to appear in this case. Reversely, the crack propagates along the direction of the maximum stress no matter what direction of the weakest crystal plane is if the anisotropy is sufficiently weak. Universality of the fractal dimension of fractured surfaces would be possible to appear in this case. In many real materials, universality and specificity of the materials are associated. | 19 | Influence of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor on neural differentiation of adult rat hippocampal progenitors显示文摘Ciliary neurotrophic factor is the only known neurotrophic factor that can promote differentiation of hippocampal neural progenitor cells to glial cells and neurons in adult rats.This process is similar to spontaneous differentiation.Therefore,ciliary neurotrophic factor may be involved in spontaneous differentiation of neural stem cells.To verify this hypothesis,the present study isolated neural progenitor cells from adult male rats and cultured them in vitro.Results showed that when neural progenitor cells were cultured in the absence of mitogen fibroblast growth factor-2 or epidermal growth factor,they underwent spontaneous differentiation into neurons and glial cells.Western blot and immunocytochemical staining showed that exogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor strongly induced adult hippocampal progenitor cells to differentiate into neurons and glial cells.Moreover,passage 4 adult hippocampal progenitor cells expressed high levels of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor,and a neutralizing antibody against ciliary neurotrophic factor prevented the spontaneous neuronal and glial differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells.These results suggest that the spontaneous differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells is mediated partially by endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor. | Jun Ding Zhili He Juan Ruan Ying Liu Chengxin Gong Shenggang Sun Honghui Chen | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013，8，4： | 2 |
