| 1 | 结核病的性别差异:南印度某农村地区DOTS项目报告显示文摘背景:南印度 Tiruvallur 地区。目的:了解 14 岁以上成年人在结核感染和患病、就医途径、就医行为、诊断延误、接受 DOT的方便程度、疾病歧视以及治疗依从性等方面的性别差异。方法:相关数据主要来自:1)社区调查,2)在公立初级保健卫生机构(PHIS)主动就医的病人,3)转诊到 PHIS 进行痰涂片检查的可疑结核病人;4)DOTS 策略下的登记报告结核病人。并将社区调查结果与 PHIS 登记病人进行比较。结果:社区人群中 66%的男性和 57%的女性感染了结核菌;男性和女性的涂阳肺结核患病率分别为568/10 万和87/10 万。在 PHIS 就医的男性少于女性,男女之比为 68:100。女性占社区调查发现涂阳病人的 13%;占 PHIS 发现病人的 20%(P<0.05)。随着年龄的增长,男性和女性的登记率显著降低。女性感觉难于与家人讨论自己病情的比例要高于男性(21%∶14%),也更需要有人陪伴去接受 DOT(11%∶6%)。男性的治疗中断率比女性高 1 倍(19%∶8%;P<0.01)。结论:尽管女性发病后更容易遭受歧视和不便,但女性更易于利用医疗服务、接受 DOTS 策略登记以及依从治疗。而男性以及高龄病人在诊断和 DOT服务方面更需要帮助。 | R. | 2 | Influence of Geometric Design Variable and Bone Quality on Stress Distribution for Zirconia Dental Implants-A 3D Finite Element Analysis显示文摘This study aims to investigate the effects of variable thread pitch on stress distribution in bones of different bone qualities under two different loading conditions(Vertical,and Horizontal)for a Zirconia dental implant.For this purpose,a three dimensional finite element model of the mandibular premolar section and three single threaded implants of 0.8 mm,1.6 mm,2.4 mm pitch was designed.Finite element analysis software was used to develop the model and three different bone qualities(Type II,Type III,and Type IV)were prepared.A vertical load of 200 N,and a horizontal load of 100 N was applied at the abutment surface.The von-Mises stress criterion was used to analyze the results.The crestal bony-region of the mandibular section was subjected to maximum von-Mises stresses for all bone qualities.The outcome of this study indicates that,horizontal loading had more influence on stress distribution than vertical loading,regardless of the bone qualities and pitch values.Varying the dental implant pitch does not cause any decrease in stress distribution in bone,when the bone density decreased.The study concluded that implants with minimum pitch values induced lesser stress values at the implant-bone interface. | Duraisamy Velmurugan Masilamany Santha Alphin | 2018 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2018，，11： | 2 |

| 9 | Association of angiotensin converting enzyme gene insertion/deletion polymorphism with essential hypertension in south Indian population显示文摘Genetic,environmental and demographic factors contribute to the development of essential hypertension.Genetic polymorphism of Rennin-angiotensin-aldosterone system(RAAS)has been extensively studied to determine the genetic susceptibility to hypertension.The insertion/deletion(I/D)angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE)polymorphism has been established as a cardiovascular risk factor in some population,but its association with essential hypertension is controversial.This study sought to determine the association of I/D polymorphism of the ACE gene in south Indian essential hypertensive subjects.A total of 208 clinically diagnosed essential hypertensive patients without any associated diseases and 220 healthy control subjects were included in this study.Distribution and allelic frequency of Insertion(I)and Deletion(D)polymorphism at the 287 base pair Alu repeat sequence in the intron 16 of ACE gene were analyzed.The distribution of II,ID,DD genotypes of ACE gene was 28.3%,32.6%and 38.9%respectively in essential hypertensive patients and to 53.6%,26.3%and 20%in controls.The allele frequency for D allele is 0.58 in essential hypertension as compared to 0.34 of control subjects.The genotype and allele frequency of ACE gene polymorphism is significantly differed in patients when compared to controls.In conclusion,the I/D polymorphism of ACE gene is associated with Indian essential hypertension. | Ramalingam Krishnan Durairaj Sekar Santha karunanithy Sethupathy Subramanium | 2016 | Genes & Diseases2016，3，2： | 1 |
