| 1 | Foundation Study on Wireless Big Data: Concept, Mining, Learning and Practices显示文摘Facing the development of future 5 G, the emerging technologies such as Internet of things, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence is enhancing an explosive growth in data traffic. Radical changes in communication theory and implement technologies, the wireless communications and wireless networks have entered a new era. Among them, wireless big data(WBD) has tremendous value, and artificial intelligence(AI) gives unthinkable possibilities. However, in the big data development and artificial intelligence application groups, the lack of a sound theoretical foundation and mathematical methods is regarded as a real challenge that needs to be solved. From the basic problem of wireless communication, the interrelationship of demand, environment and ability, this paper intends to investigate the concept and data model of WBD, the wireless data mining, the wireless knowledge and wireless knowledge learning(WKL), and typical practices examples, to facilitate and open up more opportunities of WBD research and developments. | 2 | Folate receptor-mediated boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles as potential delivery vehicles for boron neutron capture therapy of nonfunctional pituitary adenomas显示文摘Invasive nonfunctional pituitary adenomas(NFPAs) are difficult to completely resect and often develop tumor recurrence after initial surgery.Currently,no medications are clinically effective in the control of NFPA.Although radiation therapy and radiosurgery are useful to prevent tumor regrowth,they are frequently withheld because of severe complications.Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT) is a binary radiotherapy that selectively and maximally damages tumor cells without harming the surrounding normal tissue.Folate receptor(FR)-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles is a novel boron delivery agent that can be selectively taken up by FR-expressing cells via FR-mediated endocytosis.In this study,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles were selectively taken up by NFPAs cells expressing FR but not other types of non-FR expressing pituitary adenomas.After incubation with boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles and following irradiation with thermal neutrons,the cell viability of NFPAs was significantly decreased,while apoptotic cells were simultaneously increased.However,cells administered the same dose of FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles without neutron irradiation or received the same neutron irradiation alone did not show significant decrease in cell viability or increase in apoptotic cells.The expression of Bcl-2 was down-regulated and the expression of Bax was up-regulated in NFPAs after treatment with FR-mediated BNCT.In conclusion,FR-targeted boron-10 containing carbon nanoparticles may be an ideal delivery system of boron to NFPAs cells for BNCT.Furthermore,our study also provides a novel insight into therapeutic strategies for invasive NFPA refractory to conventional therapy,while exploring these new applications of BNCT for tumors,especially benign tumors. | DAI CongXin CAI Feng HWANG Kuo Chu ZHOU YongMao ZHANG ZiZhu LIU XiaoHai MA SiHai YANG YaKun YAO Yong FENG Ming BAO XinJie LI GuiLin WEI JunJi JIAO YongHui WEI ZhenQing MA WenBin WANG RenZhi | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,2: | 8 |

| 4 | Study on the interface of direct hot rolling titanium-clad steel plates显示文摘In this study,the interface characteristics of a direct hot rolling titanium-clad steel plate were analyzed,and the mechanism of interface cracking was explored. The detrimental effect from the formation of TFe,TiC,and a Si-enriched layer on the bonding strength was clarified,and an industrial-scaled titanium-clad steel plate with shear strength over 200 MPa was produced with a carefully set schedule accordingly. It was found that hot rolling titanium-clad steel plates had a flat interface without obvious cracks. In the rolling process,both Ti and Fe atoms interdiffused,but Fe diffused much faster than Ti. The Fe-diffused area consisted of three regions. After a high temperature heat treatment,the diffusion depth of Fe and Ti elements increased significantly and evident Si segregation and TiFe layers were identified. | 5 | Periodical characteristics of baseflow in the source region of the Yangtze River显示文摘Baseflow,which represents the drainage of groundwater aquifers,is an essential component of runoff in hydrological basins.In the source region of the Yangtze River,the change of baseflow typically reflects the interactions between groundwater system and climatic factors in cold and arid areas.With modified Kalinen separation method,annual baseflow between 1957 and 2009 in this region was estimated and calculated.In comparison with the inner-annual variations of total streamflow,baseflow showed a weaker fluctuation.Before the 1980s,it was in a steady state;and after then,it demonstrated dramatic variations and large amplitudes.Based on the calculation results of baseflow,the real Morlet wavelet method was applied to reveal the periodical characteristics of baseflow as well as the precipitation and air temperature in the study area.It was found that annual baseflow has a 43-year trend as well as a 21-year period and a 7-year period.The 21-year period is most significant,with its wavelet coefficient having the largest fluctuation and amplitude.Summation of wavelet coefficients on these periods exhibits a similar change pattern with respect to that of annual baseflow.The summation curve takes a'W'shape,which means that the baseflow follows a four-stage sequence of descending–ascending–descending–ascending.As analyzed,the relationship among baseflow,precipitation and temperature is implied in the correlation between their normalized wavelet coefficients at different temporal scales.By the significant positive linear correlations both between precipitation and baseflow(correlation coefficient is 0.98)and between temperature and baseflow(correlation coefficient is 0.90)for the 43-year wavelet coefficients,it is suggested that the long-term increasing trends of precipitation and air temperature will lead to an increasing trend of baseflow.For wavelet coefficients of 21-year and 7-year periods,the positive linear correlation between precipitation and baseflow is significant.However,the correlation between air temperature and baseflow is not so evident,especially for the 21-year period.As a conclusion, correlation analysis with normalized wavelet coefficients showed that the change of annual baseflow was contributed mostly by the change of precipitation and secondly by the change of temperature. | KaiZhu QIAN Li WAN XuSheng WANG JingJing LV SiHai LIANG | 2012 | Journal of Arid Land2012,4,2: | 7 |

| 8 | Are academic independent directors punished more severely when they engage in violations?显示文摘We use a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2003 to 2013 to explore the reputation damage and overflow effect of academic independent directors who have received supervisory punishment. We find that when companies violate information disclosure rules, the market punishes academic independent directors more severely than nonacademic independent directors for these violations. Furthermore, companies employing punished academic directors face greater declines in their stock price than companies employing punished nonacademic independent directors during a relatively short window before or after the punishment is announced. The punishment of academic independent directors influences the employment of other scholars in the same field and results in a negative overflow effect. | 9 | The RNA-binding protein Musashi2 governs osteoblast-adipocyte lineage commitment by suppressing PPARγsignaling显示文摘Osteoporosis caused by aging is characterized by reduced bone mass and accumulated adipocytes in the bone marrow cavity. How the balance between osteoblastogenesis and adipogenesis from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) is lost upon aging is still unclear. Here, we found that the RNA-binding protein Musashi2(Msi2) regulates BMSC lineage commitment. Msi2 is commonly enriched in stem cells and tumor cells. We found that its expression was downregulated during adipogenic differentiation and upregulated during osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Msi2 knockout mice exhibited decreased bone mass with substantial accumulation of marrow adipocytes, similar to aging-induced osteoporosis. Depletion of Msi2 in BMSCs led to increased adipocyte commitment. Transcriptional profiling analysis revealed that Msi2 deficiency led to increased PPARγ signaling.RNA-interacting protein immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that Msi2 could inhibit the translation of the key adipogenic factor Cebpα, thereby inhibiting PPAR signaling. Furthermore, the expression of Msi2 decreased significantly during the aging process of mice, indicating that decreased Msi2 function during aging contributes to abnormal accumulation of adipocytes in bone marrow and osteoporosis. | 11 | Light carbon isotope events of foraminifera attributed to methane release from gas hydrates on the continental slope, northeastern South China Sea显示文摘In 2013, the China Geological Survey and Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey conducted the second Chinese gas hydrate expedition in the northern South China Sea(SCS) and successfully obtained visible gas hydrate samples. Five of the thirteen drilling sites were cored for further research. In this work, Site GMGS2-08 is selected for the stable isotopic analysis of foraminifera present in the boreholes in order to reveal the carbon isotopic characteristics of the foraminifera and their response to methane release in the gas hydrate geological system. Our results show that the methane content at Site GMGS2-08 is extremely high, with headspace methane concentrations up to 39300 μmol L^(-1). The hydrocarbon δ^(13)C values, ranging from-69.4‰ to-72.3‰ PDB, distinctly indicate biogenic generation. Based on the δD analytical results(^(-1)83‰ to^(-1)85‰ SMOW), headspace methane is further discriminated to be microbial gas, derived from CO_2 reduction. By isotopic measurement, five light δ^(13)C events are found in the boreholes from Site GMGS2-08, with foraminiferal δ^(13)C values being apparently lower than the normal variation range found in the glacial-interglacial cycles of the SCS. The δ^(13)C values of benthic Uvigerina peregrina are extremely depleted(as low as^(-1)5.85‰ PDB), while those of planktonic Globigerinoides ruber reach-5.68‰ PDB. Scanning electron micrograph(SEM) studies show that foraminiferal tests have experienced post-depositional alteration, infilled with authigenic carbonate, and the diagenetic mineralization is unlikely to be related to the burial depths. The correlation calculation suggests that the anaerobic oxidation of organic matter has only weak influences on the δ^(13)C composition of benthic foraminifera. This means that the anomalous δ^(13)C depletions are predominantly attributed to the overprinting of secondary carbonates derived from the anaerobic oxidation of methane(AOM). | 12 | A two-parameter model for ion exchange process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ores显示文摘The establishment of a mathematical model for the ion exchange process is key to creating a theoretical basis for the mining of ion-adsorption type rare earth ores.Ore samples from Xinfeng,Xunwu and Anyuan were used as the test ore samples in the present study and equilibrium batch tests of ore sample leaching using various ammonium sulfate concentrations were performed.The results show that,after leaching,there is a negative exponential relationship between the ratio of the solid-phase rare earth ion concentration to the aqueous-phase rare earth ion concentration and the initial ammonium ion concentration.However,there is a linear relationship between the natural logarithm of the ratio of the solidphase ammonium ion concentration to the aqueous-phase ammonium ion concentration and the initial ammonium ion concentration.Based on the above two functional relationships,a two-parameter model for the equilibrium ion exchange process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ores was established.Using the established model to analyze the test data the model error for the Xunwu ore sample is found to be less than 5%.The proposed model is more accurate compared with the Kerr model.The two-parameter model proposed in this study provides theoretical support for the numerical simulation of column leaching(in-situ leaching)of ion-adsorption type rare earth ores. | Ping Long Guanshi Wang Chao Zhang Ying Huang Sihai Luo | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,11: | 4 |

| 15 | Investigations on femtosecond laser-induced surface modification and periodic micropatterning with anti-friction properties on Ti6Al4V titanium alloy显示文摘Titanium alloys have a wide application in aerospace industries as it has greater strength and low density, but it has poor tribological properties. To improve its friction and wear performance, in present work, a femtosecond laser is used to directly irradiate the Ti6Al4V titanium alloy surface in air conditioning, which results in localized ablation and the formation of periodic microstructures but also a strong pressure wave, propagating the material inside. Through the optimization of processing parameters, surface modification and periodic micropatterning with effective anti-friction properties were successfully induced on the surface. After a treatment of femtosecond laser-induced surface modification(FsLSM), the surface microhardness was improved by 16.6% and compressive residual stress reached-746 MPa. Besides, laser-induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS) with a titanium oxide outer coating were fabricated uniformly on the titanium alloy surface. Rotary ball-on-disk wear experiments revealed that the average coefficient of friction(COF) and wear mass loss of the specimen with Fs LSM treatment were largely reduced by 68.9% and 90% as compared to that of untreated specimens, respectively. It was analyzed that the reason for the remarkable wear resistance was attributed to the comprehensive action of the generation of LIPSS, the titanium oxide outer coating, high amplitude compressive residual stress and gradient grain size distribution on the subsurface during the laser surface treatment. | 19 | Distribution and Transport of Residual Lead and Copper Along Soil Pro?les in a Mining Region of North China显示文摘Residual heavy metals are commonly considered to be immobile in soils,leading to an underestimation of their environmental risk.This study investigated the distribution and transport of residual heavy metals along soil pro?les,using the Xiaoqinling gold mining region in North China as a case study.Soil samples were collected at three depths from three locations near the tailing heap.The speciation of copper(Cu) and lead(Pb)(exchangeable,carbonate-bound,Fe-Mn oxide-bound,organic matter-bound,and residual fractions) was determined using a sequential extraction procedure.The residual fraction's morphology was observed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Results showed that metal fraction distributions along the soil pro?les were in?uenced by each fraction's mobility.Residual fraction with high chemical stability can not be transformed from or into other fractions.This led to the conclusion that the high concentration of residual metals in soils mainly resulted from residual fraction transport.The SEM analysis showed that ?ne particles(submicrons) were mainly attached to large particles and were likely released and transported by water?ow.The more sorptive fractions(non-residual fractions) were mainly retained in the top soil,and the more mobile fractions(residual fraction) were mainly leached to the deep soil.Cu and Pb concentrations in the residual fraction decreased slightly and those in the non-residual fractions decreased signi?cantly with soil depth.These suggest a relatively higher residual metal mobility along the soil pro?les.Therefore,residual metals can be transported in soils and their environmental risk can not be ignored in assessing soil contamination. | LU Cong WU Yaoguo HU Sihai ZHANG Xiaoyan FU Yilin | 2016 | Pedosphere2016,26,6: | 2 |
| 20 | Effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus 1.1878 on sIgA Content in the Intestinal Mucous and Antioxidant Capacity of Broiler Chicks显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to study the immune activities of Lactobacillus acidophilus 1.1878 and its effect on antioxidant capacity of broiler chicks.[Methods]Samples of intestinal mucous,serum and liver were collected from broiler chicks after oral administration of L. acidophilus 1.1878. Secretory immunoglobulin A( sIgA) content in the intestinal mucous,total antioxidant capacity( T-AOC),level of MDA and activity of SOD and GSH-Px were determined,respectively. [Result] Oral administration of L. acidophilus 1.1878 significantly improved the s Ig A content in jejunum and ileum mucous( P < 0.05). No significant differences were observed in GSH-Px activity between treatment group and control group. The concentration of T-AOC and activity of SOD in serum and liver increased significantly( P < 0.05),while the level of MDA reduced significantly after oral administration of L. acidophilus 1.1878( P < 0.05).
