3Modeling and experimental validation of heat transfer and energy consumption in an innovative greenhouse structure显示文摘The commercial greenhouse is one of the most effective cultivation methods with a yield per cultivated area up to 10 times more than free land cultivation but the use of fossil fuels in this production field is very high.The objectives of this paper are to modeling and experimental evaluation of heat and mass transfer functions in an innovative solar greenhouse with thermal screen.For this propose,a semi-solar greenhouse was designed and constructed at the North-West of Iran in Azerbaijan Province(38100N and 46180E with elevation of 1364 m above the sea level).The inside environment factors include inside air temperature below screen(Ta),inside air temperature above screen(Tas),crop temperature(Tc),inside soil temperature(Ts),cover temperature(Tri)and thermal screen temperature(Tsc)were collected as the experimental data samples.The dynamic heat and mass transfer model used to estimate the temperature in six different points of the semi-solar greenhouse with initial values and consider the crop evapotranspiration.The results showed that dynamic model can predict the inside temperatures in four different points(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts)with MAPE,RMSE and EF about 5-7%,1-2℃ and 80-91%for greenhouse without thermal screen and about 3-7%,0.6-1.8C and 89-96%for six different points of greenhouse with thermal screen(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts,Tas,Tsc),respectively.The results of using thermal screen at night(12 h)in autumn showed that this method can decrease the use of fossil fuels up to 58%and so decrease the final cost and air pollution.This movable insulation caused about 15℃ difference between outside and inside air temperature and also made about 6℃ difference between Ta and Tas.The experimental results showed that inside thermal screen can decrease the crop temperature fluctuation at night.Morteza Taki Yahya Ajabshirchi Seyed Faramarz Ranjbar Abbas Rohani Mansour Matloobi 2016Information Processing in Agriculture2016,3,3:10
4Additive manufacturing of metallic and polymeric load-bearing biomaterials using laser powder bed fusion:A review显示文摘Surgical prostheses and implants used in hard-tissue engineering should satisfy all the clinical,mechanical,manufacturing,and economic requirements in order to be used for load-bearing applications.Metals,and to a lesser extent,polymers are promising materials that have long been used as load-bearing biomaterials.With the rapid development of additive manufacturing(AM)technology,metallic and polymeric implants with complex structures that were once impractical to manufacture using traditional processing methods can now easily be made by AM.This technology has emerged over the past four decades as a rapid and cost-effective fabrication method for geometrically complex implants with high levels of accuracy and precision.The ability to design and fabricate patient-specific,customized structural biomaterials has made AM a subject of great interest in both research and clinical settings.Among different AM methods,laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)is emerging as the most popular and reliable AM method for producing load-bearing biomaterials.This layer-by-layer process uses a high-energy laser beam to sinter or melt powders into a part patterned by a computer-aided design(CAD)model.The most important load-bearing applications of L-PBF-manufactured biomaterials include orthopedic,traumatological,craniofacial,maxillofacial,and dental applications.The unequalled design freedom of AM technology,and L-PBF in particular,also allows fabrication of complex and customized metallic and polymeric scaffolds by altering the topology and controlling the macro-porosity of the implant.This article gives an overview of the L-PBF method for the fabrication of load-bearing metallic and polymeric biomaterials.Alireza Nouri Anahita Rohani Shirvan Yuncang Li Cuie Wen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35:9
5Applied machine learning in greenhouse simulation;new application and analysis显示文摘Prediction the inside environment variables in greenhouses is very important because they play a vital role in greenhouse cultivation and energy lost especially in cold and hot regions.The greenhouse environment is an uncertain nonlinear system which classical modeling methods have some problems to solve it.So the main goal of this study is to select the best method between Artificial Neural Network(ANN)and Support Vector Machine(SVM)to estimate three different variables include inside air,soil and plant temperatures(Ta,Ts,Tp)and also energy exchange in a polyethylene greenhouse in Shahreza city,Isfahan province,Iran.The environmental factors which influencing all the inside temperatures such as outside air temperature,wind speed and outside solar radiation were collected as data samples.In this research,13 different training algorithms were used for ANN models(MLPRBF).Based on K-fold cross validation and Randomized Complete Block(RCB)methodology,the best model was selected.The results showed that the type of training algorithm and kernel function are very important factors in ANN(RBF and MLP)and SVM models performance,respectively.Comparing RBF,MLP and SVM models showed that the performance of RBF to predict Ta,Tp and Ts variables is better according to small values of RMSE and MAPE and large value of R2 indices.The range of RMSE and MAPE factors for RBF model to predict Ta,Tp and Ts were between 0.07 and 0.12C and 0.28-0.50%,respectively.Generalizability and stability of the RBF model with 5-fold cross validation analysis showed that this method can use with small size of data groups.The performance of best model(RBF)to estimate the energy lost and exchange in the greenhouse with heat transfer models showed that this method can estimate the real data in greenhouse and then predict the energy lost and exchange with high accuracy.Morteza Taki Saman Abdanan Mehdizadeh Abbas Rohani Majid Rahnama Mostafa Rahmati-Joneidabad 2018Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,2:8
6Rapid high-temperature synthesis of SAPO-34 nanoparticles显示文摘Decreasing particle size results in larger increase of external surface area and shorter diffusion path,both reducing mass and heat transfer resistances in catalysis and sorption.A rapid high-temperature hydrothermal synthesis method was developed to synthesize uniform nanoparticles of SAPO-34 zeolite with high crystallinity.To investigate the effects of temperature and synthesis time on purity and crys-tallinity of the final products,the crystallization temperature was increased from 468 to 673 K while the synthesis time was decreased from 24 h to 45 min.The products were characterized by XRD and SEM techniques.It was found that high temperature and short synthesis time reduce the particle size and change the morphology of the SAPO-34 final product.Mahdi Dargahi Hossein Kazemian Mohammad Soltanieh Sohrab Rohani Morteza Hosseinpour 2011Particuology2011,9,5:7
7Fluidization of nano and sub-micron powders using mechanical vibration显示文摘The fluidization behavior of nano and sub-micron powders belonging to group C of Geldart's classification was studied in a mechanically vibrated fiuidized bed(vibro-fiuidized bed) at room temperature. Pretreated air was used as the fiuidizing gas whereas SiO2,Al2O3,TiO2,ZrSi,BaSO4 were solid particles. Mechanical vibration amplitudes were 0.1,0.25,0.35,0.45 mm,while the frequencies were 5,20,30,40 Hz to investigate the effects of frequency and amplitude of mechanical vibration on minimum fiuidization velocity,bed pressure drop,bed expansion,and the agglomerate size and size distribution. A novel technique was employed to determine the apparent minimum fluidization velocity from pressure drop signals. Richardson-Zaki equation was employed as nano-particles showed fiuid like behavior when fiuidized. The average size of agglomerates formed on top of the bed was smaller than those at the bottom. Size distribution of agglomerates on top was also more uniform compared to those near the distributor. Larger agglomerates at the bottom of the bed formed a small fraction of the bed particles. Average size of submicron agglomerates decreased with increasing the frequency of vibration,however nano particles were less sensitive to change in vibration frequency. 8Synthesis of ion imprinted polymers for selective recognition and separation of rare earth metals显示文摘Lanthanide-ion imprinted polymers(L-IIPs) were synthesized by stoichiometric amounts of rare earth ions and the cavities in the polymers were created for the corresponding lanthanide ions. The maximum sorption capacities were estimated to be 125.3, 126.5, 127.6, 128.2 and 129.1 mg/g for Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd, respectively at p H 6. In the selectivity study, the L-IIPs exhibited good selectivity to the specific rare earth ions in the presence of coexisting cations. 9Oral manifestations in patients with diabetes mellitus显示文摘The purpose of this article was to increase the knowledge about oral manifestations and complications associated with diabetes mellitus.An overview was performed on Google,especially in recent reliable papers in relation to diabetes mellitus and its oral manifestations(keywords were“diabetes mellitus”,“oral manifestations”,and“oral complications”).Data were collected and the results were declared.Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common chronic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia.This disease can have many complications in various regions of the body,including the oral cavity.The important oral manifestations and complications related to diabetes include xerostomia,dental caries,gingivitis,periodontal disease,increased tendency to oral infections,burning mouth,taste disturbance,and poor wound healing.Oral complications in diabetic patients are considered major complications and can affect patients’quality of life.There is evidence that chronic oral complications in these patients have negative effects on blood glucose control,so prevention and management of the oral complications are important.Bita Rohani 2019World Journal of Diabetes2019,10,9:5
10Life Cycle Assessment modeling of milk production in Iran显示文摘Livestock units are known as one of the most influential sectors in the environment pollution.Therefore,the aim of this study was to investigate the environmental impacts of milk production in Guilan province of Iran through Life Cycle Assessment(LCA)methodology.The primary data were collected from 45 units of milk production through a field survey with the help of a structured questionnaire.The reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and was estimated an acceptable value of 0.91.The consumption of resources and emissions were allocated to a functional unit(FU)of one ton of milk.Impacts of emissions in five impact categories of global warming,acidification,eutrophication,photochemical oxidation and depletion of resources were investigated.The results showed that the characterization index for these impact categories were 1831 kg CO2 eq,7.97 kg SO2 eq,3.42 kg PO4^-3 eq,0.21 kg C2H4 eq and 838.39 MJ,respectively.Final indices for these impact categories were calculated as 0.24,0.28,0.076,0.017 and 0.046,respectively.Environmental index(EcoX)and resources depletion index(RDI)were obtained 0.61 and 0.04,respectively.In this study,the highest potential for environmental impacts of production revealed for acidification and followed by global warming impact category.Hamzeh Soltanali Bagher Emadi Abbas Rohani Mehdi Khojastehpour Amin Nikkhah 2015Information Processing in Agriculture2015,2,2:4
11Solar thermal simulation and applications in greenhouse显示文摘In this study,a comprehensive review focusing on key strategies of energy saving technologies based on simulation of heat and mass transfer and also artificial intelligent for climate controlling is presented.Following the brief and concise assessment of existing greenhouse systems in terms of their role in total energy consumption;effective shape and structure,energy-efficient and new technologies are analyzed in detail for potential utilization in greenhouses for notable reductions in energy consumption and also go toward the sustainability.The technologies considered within the scope of this research are mainly renewable and sustainable based solutions such as photovoltaic(PV)modules,solar thermal(T)collectors,hybrid PV/T collectors and systems,phase change material(PCM)and underground based heat storage techniques,energy-efficient heat pumps,alternative facade materials for better thermal insulation and power generation.The findings from the research clearly reveal that up to 70%energy saving can be achieved through appropriate retrofit of conventional greenhouses.Using of solar greenhouses in Europe is more popular than others.In some countries in Asia such as Iran,it is very restrict to invest on renewable projects because of cheap fossil fuels.So it is recommended beside of investments by private investors,the Iranian government should also invest in the extension of solar energy in greenhouse by setting up a specialized agency or contracting firms.Those should target the modeling and design the best shape of solar greenhouse for all agricultural areas to receive the maximum solar radiation and decrease the need of fossil fuels.Morteza Taki Abbas Rohani Mostafa Rahmati-Joneidabad 2018Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,1:4
