1Diffusion weighted imaging: Technique and applications显示文摘Diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) is a method of signal contrast generation based on the differences in Brownian motion. DWI is a method to evaluate the molecular function and micro-architecture of the human body. DWI signal contrast can be quantified by apparent diffusion coefficient maps and it acts as a tool for treatment respon-se evaluation and assessment of disease progression. Ability to detect and quantify the anisotropy of diffusion leads to a new paradigm called diffusion tensor imaging(DTI). DTI is a tool for assessment of the organs with highly organised fibre structure. DWI forms an integral part of modern state-of-art magnetic resonance imaging and is indispensable in neuroimaging and oncology. DWI is a field that has been undergoing rapid technical evolution and its applications are increasing every day. 3Efficacy of Bacillus subtilis MBI 600 Against Sheath Blight Caused by Rhizoctonia solani and on Growth and Yield of Rice显示文摘Rice sheath blight disease(ShB),caused by Rhizoctonia solani,gives rise to significant grain yield losses.The present study evaluated the efficacy of Integral?,the commercial liquid formulation of Bacillus subtilis strain MBI 600,against rice ShB and for plant growth promotion.In greenhouse studies,four log concentrations of Integral(from 2.2×106 to 2.2×109 cfu/mL) were used as seed treatment(ST).After 25 d,seedlings were dipped(SD) into Integral prior to transplanting.At 30 d after transplanting(DAT),leaf sheaths were inoculated with immature sclerotia of the pathogen.At 45 DAT,a foliar spray(FS) with Integral was applied to some treatments.The fungicide control was 50% carbendazim at 1.0 g/L,and a nontreated control was also included.Overall,there were 10 treatments,each with five replications.ShB severity was rated at 52 DAT,and seedling height and number of tillers per plant were rated at 60 DAT.In 2009,two field trials evaluated Integral at 2.2×108 and 2.2×109 cfu/mL.Integral was applied as ST,and seedlings were produced in a nursery bed.After 32 d,seedlings were treated with Integral as SD and transplanted into 10 m2 blocks.Foliar sprays were given at 45 and 60 DAT.There were seven treatments,each with eight replications arranged as a factorial randomized complete block design.At 20 DAT,the plots were broadcast inoculated with R.solani produced on rice grains.Seedling height before transplanting,ShB severity at 90 DAT,and grain yield at harvest were recorded.Integral at 2.2×109 cfu/mL provided significant increase of seedling heights over other treatments under greenhouse conditions.The Integral treatments of ST + SD + FS at 2.2×109 cfu/mL significantly suppressed ShB over other treatments.In field studies,Integral provided significant increase of seedling height in nursery,and number of tillers per plant,compared with the control.ShB severity was significantly suppressed with higher concentrations of Integral compared to lower concentrations.Grain yield were the highest at an Integral concentration of 2.2×109 cfu/mL.Overall,Integral significantly reduced ShB severity,enhanced seedling growth,number of tillers per plant and grain yield as ST + SD + FS at the concentration of 2.2×109 cfu/mL under the conditions evaluated.K. 4In vitro and in vivo anticancer activity of Indigofera cassioides Rottl.Ex. DC.显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antitumor,cytotoxic and antioxidant activities of methanolic leaf extract of Indigofera cassioides(MEIC) against transplantable tumors and human cancer cell lines.Methods:MEIC was investigated for its short term cytotoxicity on EAC and DLA cells by trypan blue dye exclusion method and in vitro cytotoxicity on HeLa,HEp-2,HEpG-2,MCF-7, HT-29,Vero and NIH 3T3 cells by MTT assay.In vivo antitumor activity was studied on EAC and DLA tumor bearing mice.Activity was assessed by monitoring the mean survival time,effect on hematological parameters,antioxidant enzyme levels and solid tumor volume.Results:MEIC exhibit potent in vitro cytotoxicity against all the tested cancer cell lines,but it was found to be safe on normal cells.The extract significantly(P<0.001) increase the mean survival time and also have a protective effect on the hemopoietic system at the tested dose levels(200 and 400 mg/kg). The extract prevented lipid peroxidation and restored the antioxidant enzymes catalase, superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-s-transferase in the liver of tumor control animals.It also significandy(P<0.01) reduce the solid tumor volume.Conclusions:The results strongly support that MEIC shows potent antitumor and cytotoxic effects against EAC,DLA and human cancer cell lines.The extract prevents lipid peroxidation and promotes the enzymatic antioxidant defense system in tumor bearing animals which might be due to activities like scavenging of free radicals by the phytochemicals in MEIC.Raju Senthil Kumar Balasubramanian Rajkapoor Perumal Perumal 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,5:6
5Flotation studies on low grade graphite ore from eastern India显示文摘A low grade graphite ore from eastern India was beneficiated by flotation to improve its quality. The ore was composed of 87.80% ash and 8.59% fixed carbon. Primary coarse wet grinding(d80: 186 lm) followed by rougher flotation in Denver flotation cell using diesel as collector and pine oil as frother yielded a rougher concentrate. Regrinding(d80: 144 lm) of this rougher concentrate was opted for further liberation of graphite. It was followed by cleaning in laboratory flotation column. This combined process of relatively coarse primary grinding followed by regrinding and cleaning in flotation column resulted in final concentrate of 7.44% yield with 89.65% fixed carbon and 6.00% ash. This approach of two-stage grinding to recover the flake graphite at the coarsest possible grind can help to minimize grinding energy costs. 7纳米钯催化苄基氯代物与烯丙基硼酸频哪醇酯的羧化Suzuki偶联反应(英文)显示文摘CO_2是廉价的Cl源,同时具有无毒、储量丰富的优点,符合绿色化学发展要求.利用CO_2构筑新的C-C键是化学固定CO_2的重要方法.β,γ-不饱和酯类结构单元是许多生物活性分子的重要组成部分,经由双π-烯丙基钯中间体与CO_2反应,合成新的β,γ-不饱和酯类化合物,具有重要意义.CO_2与有机硼化合物的羧化反应己有报道,有机硼化合物具有低毒、对水不敏感等优点.但是己报道的羧化Suzuki偶联反应存在诸多缺点:(1)需要使用含膦或者氮杂环卡宾配体的催化剂,而这些催化剂的制备过程使前期实验步骤变得冗长,同时反应液的酸化后处理过程也会造成环境污染;(2)有机硼试剂的官能团兼容范围窄,限制了底物范围的拓展.本课题组以原位生成的纳米钯粒子为催化剂,在CO_2存在的温和条件下,高效实现了苄氯与烯丙基硼酸频哪醇酯的羧化Suzuki偶联反应.反应过程中无其它配体加入,反应结束后不需要酸化或酯化的后处理过程.该反应将具有广泛的官能团兼容性.本文以TBAB稳定的纳米钯粒子为催化剂,在温和条件下,实现了氯甲基芳香化合物、烯丙基硼酸频哪醇酯和CO_2的三组分羧化Suzuki偶联反应.最佳反应条件为:Pd(acac)_2(5mol%)、TBAB(0.7mmol,1.4 equiv.)、KF(1mmol,2.0 equiv.)、苄基卤代物(0.5 mmol)、烯丙基硼酸频哪醇酯(0.6 mmol,1.2 equiv.)、CO_2(2.0 MPa)、溶剂THF(5 mL),50℃反应24h.在最佳反应条件下,苯环、萘环以及杂芳环的氯甲基化合物均可发生该羧化反应.苯环上取代基的位置对产物的收率有影响.当使用1-溴甲基萘作为底物时反应也能够发生,收率与1-氯甲基萘作为底物时的收率相当.与已报道有机硼试剂的羧化反应相比,该反应体系无需加入配体,原位生成了纳米钯粒子,避免了催化剂或者配体的复杂制备过程.该反应中,氟离子的存在是必要的,对烯丙基硼酸频哪醇酯具有活化作用.孙健 王加升 冯秀娟 Yoshinori Yamamoto Abdulrahman I.Almansour Natarajan Arumugam Raju Suresh Kumar 包明 2018Chinese Journal of Catalysis2018,39,7:4

9Physical and degradation properties of PLGA scaffolds fabricated by salt fusion technique显示文摘Tissue engineering scaffolds require a controlled pore size and interconnected pore structures to support the host tissue growth. In the present study, three dimensional (3D) hybrid scaffolds of poly lactic acid (PLA) and poly glycolic acid (PGA) were fabricated using solvent casting/particulate leaching. In this case, partially fused NaCl particles were used as porogen (200-300μ) to improve the overall porosity (≥90%) and internal texture of scaffolds. Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) analysis of these porous scaffolds revealed a gradual reduction in glass transition temperature (Tg) (from 48°C to 42.5°C) with increase in hydrophilic PGA content. The potential applications of these scaffolds as implants were further tested for their biocompatibility and biodegradability in four simulated body fluid (SBF) types in vitro. Whereas, simulated body fluid (SBF) Type1 with the optimal amount of HCO 3 ions was found to be more appropriate and sensible for testing the bioactivity of scaffolds. Among three combinations of polymer scaffolds, sample B with a ratio of 75:25 of PLA: PGA showed greater stability in body fluids (pH 7.2) with an optimum degradation rate (9% to 12% approx). 10基于遥感影像的甘达基流域博卡拉和巴拉普尔的土地利用变化及其驱动力研究(英文)显示文摘城市扩张是反映经济增长的重要指标,但随意的城市扩张也带来了严重的社会经济问题、环境问题以及城市土地管理问题。在这个背景下,理解城市扩张的过程对于指导城市的可持续增长具有重要意义。本研究采用基于遥感影像的监督分类方法,分析了甘达基流域内的两个大城市—博卡拉和巴拉普尔1990–2018年的城市用地变化。结果表明:在过去的28年,博卡拉和巴拉普尔的城市面积分别显著扩张了300%和近500%。人口增长、城市基础设施和便利的生活方式引起周边地区向城市的人口迁移,是造成本研究区城市扩张的主要原因。除此之外,不断变化的城市定义和城市边界的扩张是造成城市快速扩张的关键因素。由于上述两个城市拥有高水平的商业活动以及现代化的设施,未来城市规模可能继续扩大。应当通过城市规划和政策减少随意的城市扩张,从而实现城市的可持续发展。Raju RAI 张镱锂 Basanta PAUDEL Narendra Raj KHANAL Bipin Kumar ACHARYA 2020Journal of Resources and Ecology2020,11,1:3

12非负载纳米多孔钯催化喹啉及其衍生物的化学选择性氢化反应:H_2分子异裂(英文)显示文摘纳米多孔金属是近十年发展起来的一类具有三维通孔结构的新型功能材料,其由纳米尺度的细孔和韧带构成,具有极大的比表面积;它还是一种无毒无载体的宏观材料,并且易制备、易回收和重复利用,因此作为高效的非均相催化剂已逐渐引起人们的重视.1,2,3,4-四氢喹啉是许多医药、农药、染料和天然产物的重要骨架.通过喹啉及其衍生物的选择性加氢反应制备1,2,3,4-四氢喹啉,具有原子利用率高和原料易得等优点.在过去,已经开发了许多类型的均相和非均相催化体系,并成功地用于催化喹啉及其衍生物的选择性加氢反应.尽管非均相催化体系具有诸多优点,但仍存在H_2压力(10–50 atm)和反应温度(60–150℃)相对较高的缺点.因此,开发更加温和条件下的喹啉及其衍生物的选择性加氢反应具有重要意义.此外,在喹啉及其衍生物的加氢反应过程中,H_2分子在非均相催化剂表面的裂解模式,即均裂还是异裂尚不清楚.因此,本文采用新型非均相催化剂纳米多孔钯,研究了喹啉及其衍生物的选择性加氢反应,在相对较低的H_2压力(2–5 atm)和温度(室温–50℃)下实现了目标反应,高收率、高选择性地得到1,2,3,4-四氢喹啉化合物.在最佳反应条件下,对底物的适用范围进行了考察.结果表明,各种含喹啉结构单元的化合物均能顺利发生反应,产物收率在62%–95%.而且该反应对甲基、甲氧基、羟基、酯基、醛基、酰胺基、卤素(F,Cl和Br)等官能团具有较好的兼容性.苯环上取代基的电子效应对反应有一定的影响,吸电子基有利于目标反应的进行.反应完成后,纳米多孔钯催化剂很容易回收,且循环使用多次后,仍未见催化活性降低.扫描电镜和透射电镜结果发现,循环使用后的纳米多孔钯催化剂结构没有发生明显改变,表明其结构稳定.浸出实验结果证明,没有钯原子浸出到反应液中,表明该纳米多孔钯催化反应属于多相催化过程.喹啉的选择性氢化反应被放大到克级的规模时,目标产物的收率仅略有降低,说明该方法具有很好的实用性.通过动力学实验发现,随着反应的进行,反应速率不断加快,表明反应过程中生成的乙胺和1,2,3,4-四氢喹啉同样扮演着路易斯碱性添加剂的角色,促进了反应的进行.通过反应机理研究,揭示了H–H键在纳米多孔钯表面发生了异裂,原位形成的Pd–H物种作为弱亲核试剂,对目标反应的选择性控制起到了至关重要的作用.卢烨 Yoshinori Yamamoto Abdulrahman I.Almansour Natarajan Arumugam Raju Suresh Kumar 包明 2018Chinese Journal of Catalysis2018,39,11:2
13Effect of angiotensin converting enzyme gene I/D polymorphism in South Indian children with nephrotic syndrome显示文摘Nephrotic syndrome is one of the most common childhood kidney diseases. It is mostly found in the age group of 2 to 8 years. Around 10%-15% of nephrotic syndrome cases are non-responders of steroid treatment(SRNS).Angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE)(I/D) gene association studies are important for detecting kidney disease and herein we assessed the association of ACE(I/D) polymorphism with nephrotic syndrome in South Indian children. We recruited 260 nephrotic syndrome(162 boys and 98 girls) and 218(140 boys and 78 girls) control subjects. ACE I/D polymorphism was analyzed by PCR using genotype allele specific primers. In ACE(I/D), we did not find significant association for the ungrouped data of nephrotic syndrome children and the control subjects. Kidney biopsies were done in 86 nephrotic syndrome cases(minimal change disease, n = 51;focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, n = 27;diffuse mesangial proliferation, n = 8). We segregated them into the minimal change disease/focal segmental glomerulosclerosis groups and observed that the ACE’D’ allele was identified with borderline significance in cases of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and the ’Ⅰ’ allele was assessed as having very weak association in cases of minimal change disease. ’Ⅱ’ genotype was weakly associated with minimal change disease. Gender specific analysis revealed weak association of’ID’ genotype with female nephrotic syndrome in females. Dominant expression of DD genotype was observed in males with nephrotic syndrome. Our finding indicated that ACE(I/D) has moderate association with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. 14Foraminiferal biostratigraphy of lignite mines of Kutch,India:Age of lignite and fossil vertebrates显示文摘The lignite deposits of Kutch, India are stratigraphically referred to the Naredi Formation and considered to be Early Eocene in age. The biostratigraphy of the older mine at Panandhro and a newly opened mine at Matanomadh has constrained the upper age limit of lignite to the early Bartonian. Its lower age may extend to the late Lutetian. Temporally the formation of lignite corresponds to the warming event of the Middle Eocene and suggests a humid climate at the onset of the warming. The previous palynological studies have already suggested dominance of tropical angiospermic pollen. A diverse assemblage of fossil whales and other vertebrates, many of them supposedly the oldest representatives, were reported from Panandhro mine. These were initially assigned to the Early Eocene and later to the Lute? tian age.
