1功能神经影像学——语言功能的脑磁图研究显示文摘脑磁图是近10年开始应用于功能神经影像学研究的,又被称为磁源成像,是利用超导技术制成的高敏感传感器可以在颅外及时探测大脑神经元的电活动所产生的磁场,并且把所探测到的磁源重叠到相应的MRI图像上从而确定磁源的位置。它不受组织导电率的影响,且具有极高的时间分辨率。研究表明,脑磁图在语言功能的定侧定位方面的研究是可行的、可信的,并且具有可重复性。此外,脑磁图在阅读困难症的病因研究和疗效观察方面也具有重要意义。张文波 祁吉 Papanicolaou AC 2002国外医学(临床放射学分册)2002,25,4:6
2泥沙输运模拟综述--现状及其发展趋势显示文摘随着流体力学中数值方法的飞速发展,计算模型已经成为研究流体运动,泥沙输运和不同环境(诸如河流,湖泊及沿海地区)中相应污染物归趋过程等方面非常有吸引力的工具,在过去的30多年里,发展了许多计算水动力学/泥沙输运模型.文章追溯当前具有代表性的(一维、二维、三维)模型的发展历程,描述他们各自的特点,优势及局限,力图作为对模型方面感兴趣读者的第一指南,同时也为大家讨论模型的局限性,未来的发展趋势和研究需求方面搭建一个平台.给出了模型的表达,时空特性,水动力学和沉积物的耦合方式,处理非恒定流,推移质和悬移质,泥沙交换过程,泥沙类型(粘性或非粘性)及非均匀泥沙输运的能力.总结了不同模型的应用实例,读者可以运用这些例子作为研究模型设置,模型率定及模型验证的参考.给出了选择泥沙输运模型应遵循的原则,模型输入及率定方面存在的问题及改进的途径.探讨了现有水动力学/泥沙输运模型在处理复杂湍流,泥沙携带,流动与输沙耦合,非均匀泥沙,离散和扩散系数,河岸来沙处理等方面的局限性及改进的方向.最后,对基于多相流思想的泥沙输运模型及其它一些交叉性问题作了评述与展望.Athanasios N.(Thanos)Papanicolaou Mohamed Elhakeem George Krallis Shwet Prakash John Edinger 李国栋 叶小梅 2010力学进展2010,40,3:6
3STEP-POOL MORPHOLOGY IN HIGH-GRADIENT STREAMS显示文摘The focus of this study is to examine bed stability and morphology in high-gradient gravel-bed streams, and thus to improve understanding of the various parameters governing the sediment flow characteristics in mountain streams. Ultimately, this knowledge can be used to design pseudo-natural channels, as in the stream simulation method of culvert design; with this in mind, prototype conditions are evaluated in a flume with slopes ranging from 3% to 7%, and particle relative submergence varying from 0.5 to 2.5 for three bed size distributions. These experiments are designed to satisfy the conditions of dynamic similarity for flow and sediment, and they are preferred over field measurements since they allow a high degree of control over testing conditions. It is found that step-pool bedforms are the most ubiquitous features along the gravel bed. A new formula is developed that correlates step height with the gravel-bed size distribution, relative submergence of the particles, and the Froude number. The step spacing is found to be related to step height and streambed longitudinal slope. Flow resistance is also examined, and a formula is developed which accounts for the resistance due to the bedforms (form resistance), as well as the individual sediment particles (grain resistance).A.R. 4A probabilistic model for sediment entrainment:The role of bed irregularity显示文摘A generalized probabilistic model is developed in this study to predict sediment entrainment under the incipient motion,rolling,and pickup modes.A novelty of the proposed model is that it incorporates in its formulation the probability density function of the bed shear stress,instead of the near-bed velocity fluctuations,to account for the effects of both flow turbulence and bed surface irregularity on sediment entrainment.The proposed model incorporates in its formulation the collective effects of three parameters describing bed surface irregularity,namely the relative roughness,the volumetric fraction and relative position of sediment particles within the active layer.Another key feature of the model is that it provides a criterion for estimating the lift and drag coefficients jointly based on the recognition that lift and drag forces acting on sediment particles are interdependent and vary with particle protrusion and packing density.The model was validated using laboratory data of both fine and coarse sediment and was compared with previously published models.The study results show that all the examined models perform adequately for the fine sediment data,where the sediment particles have more uniform gradation and relative roughness is not a factor.The proposed model was particularly suited for the coarse sediment data,where the increased bed irregularity was captured by the new parameters introduced in the model formulation.As a result,the proposed model yielded smaller prediction errors and physically acceptable values for the lift coefficient compared to the other models in case of the coarse sediment data.Mohamed Elhakeem A.N.Thanos Papanicolaou Achilleas G.Tsakiris 2017International Journal of Sediment Research2017,32,2:3
5Evaluation of a gravel transport sensor for bed load measurements in natural flows显示文摘A recent acoustic instrument(Gravel Transport Sensor,GTS) was tested for predicting sediment transport rate(bed load rate) in gravel bed streams. The GTS operation is based on the particle collision theory of submerged obstacles in fluids. When particles collide with the GTS cylinder their momentum is recorded in the form of ping rates. The GTS is attractive for further consideration here because of its potential to provide continuous unattended local bed load measurements,especially in areas found in streams that access may be difficult under extreme conditions. Laboratory experiments coupled with numerical simulations for the same flow conditions were performed in order to determine the conditions under which particles of different size will hit the GTS cylinder and be able to register a ping rate. The GTS was able to detect the number of particles with diameter in the range of 15.9 to 25.4 mm,with reasonable accuracy,if the applied Shields effective stress τe=ττcr was in the range of 0.006 to 0.015. A drawback of the tested prototype GTS,however,was that it exerted increased resistance on the incoming particles. The added drag effects increased the overall resistance that was exerted by the flow on particles and thus increased the likelihood that particles will rest in the ambient region of the cylinder instead of hitting it. 7Influence of Collective Boulder Array on the Surrounding Time-averaged and Turbulent Flow Fields显示文摘Arrays of large immobile boulders,which are often encountered in steep mountain streams,affect the timing and magnitude of sediment transport events through their interactions with the approach flow.Despite their importance in the quantification of the bedload rate,the collective influence of a boulder array on the approach timeaveraged and turbulent flow field has to date been overlooked.The overarching objective is,thus,to assess the collective effects of a boulder array on the time-averaged and turbulent flow fields surrounding an individual boulder within the array,placing particular emphasis on highlighting the bed shear stress spatial variability.The objective of this study is pursued by resolving and comparing the timeaveraged and turbulent flow fields developing around a boulder,with and without an array of isolated boulders being present.The results show that the effects of an individual boulder on the time-averaged streamwise velocity and turbulence intensity were limited to the boulder's immediate vicinity in the streamwise(x/d c < 2-3) and vertical(z/d c < 1) directions.Outside of the boulder's immediate vicinity,the time-averaged streamwise velocity was found to be globally decelerated.This global deceleration was attributed to the form drag generated collectively by the boulder array.More importantly,the boulder array reduced the applied shear stress exerted on theindividual boulders found within the array,by absorbing a portion of the total applied shear.Furthermore,the array was found to have a 'homogenizing' effect on the near-bed turbulence thus significantly reducing the turbulence intensity in the near-bed region.The findings of this study suggest that the collective boulder array bears a portion of the total applied bed shear stress as form drag,hence reducing the available bed shear stress for transporting incoming mobile sediment.Thus,the effects of the boulder array should not be ignored in sediment transport predictions.These effects are encapsulated in this study by Equation(6).Achilleas G.TSAKIRIS A.N.Thanos PAPANICOLAOU Seyed M.HAJIMIRZAIE James H.J.BUCHHOLZ 2014Journal of Mountain Science2014,11,6:2
8Characterization of sensory neuron membrane proteins(SNMPs)in cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera(Lepidoptera:Noctuidae)显示文摘Sensory neuron membrane proteins(SNMPs)play a critical role in insect chemosensory system.Previously,three SNMPs were identified,characterized and functionally investigated in a lepidopteran model insect,Bombyx mori.However,whether these results are consistent across other lepidopteran species are unknown.Here genome and transcriptome data analysis,expression profiling,quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)and the yeast hybridization system were utilized to examine snmp genes of Helicoverpa armigera,one of the most destructive lepidopteran pests in cropping areas.In silico expression and qRT-PCR analyses showed that,just as the B.mori snmp genes,H.armigera snmpl(Harmsnmpl)is specifically expressed in adult antennae.Harmsnmp2 is broadly expressed in multiple tissues including adult antennae,tarsi,larval antennae and mouth-parts.Harmsnmp3 is specifically expressed in larval midguts.Further RNAseq analysis suggested that the expression levels of Harmsnmp2 and Harmsnmp3 differed significantly depending on the plant species on which the larvae fed,indicating they may be involved in plant-feeding behaviours.Yeast hybridization results revealed a protein-protein interaction between HarmSNMPl and the sex pheromone receptor,HarmOR13.This study demonstrated that SNMPs may share same functions and mechanisms in different lepidopteran species,which improved our understanding of insect snmp genes and their functions in lepidopterans.Wei Xu Huijie Zhang Yalin Liao Alexie Papanicolaou 2021Insect Science2021,28,3:2
