| 1 | Modeling study of regional severe hazes over mid-eastern China in January 2013 and its implications on pollution prevention and control显示文摘The Nested Air Quality Prediction Model System(NAQPMS)was used to investigate the temporal and spatial variations of PM2.5over tropospheric central eastern China in January 2013.The impact of regional transport and its implications on pollution prevention and control were also examined.Comparison between simulated and observed PM2.5showed NAQPMS was able to reproduce the evolution of PM2.5during heavy haze episodes.The results indicated that regional transport of PM2.5played an important role in regional haze episodes in the city cluster including Hebei,Beijing and Tianjin(HBT).The cross-city clusters transport outside HBT and transport among cities inside HBT contributed 20%–35%and 26%–35%of PM2.5as compared with local emission,in HBT respectively.To meet the Air Quality Standards for Grade II,90%,90%and65%of emissions would have to be cut down in Hebei,Tianjin and Beijing,if non-control strategy was taken in the surrounding city clusters of HBT.This implicated that control of emissions in one city cluster is not sufficient to reduce regional haze events,and joint efforts among city clusters are essential.Besides regional transports,two-way feedback between boundary-layer evolution and PM2.5also significantly contributed to the formation of heavy hazes,which contributed 30%of monthly average PM2.5concentration in HBT. | WANG ZiFa LI Jie WANG Zhe YANG WenYi TANG Xiao GE BaoZhu YAN PinZhong ZHU LiLi CHEN XueShun CHEN HuanSheng WAND Wei LI JianJun LIU Bing WANG XiaoYan WAND Wei ZHAO YiLin LU Ning SU DeBin | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,1: | 106 |

| 4 | Anticoagulation therapy prevents portal-splenic vein thrombosis after splenectomy with gastroesophageal devascularization显示文摘AIM:To compare the incidence of early portal or splenic vein thrombosis(PSVT) in patients treated with irregular and regular anticoagulantion after splenectomy with gastroesophageal devascularization.METHODS:We retrospectively analyzed 301 patients who underwent splenectomy with gastroesophageal devascularization for portal hypertension due to cirrhosis between April 2004 and July 2010.Patients were categorized into group A with irregular anticoagulation and group B with regular anticoagulation,respectively.Group A(153 patients) received anticoagulant monotherapy for an undesignated time period or with aspirin or warfarin without low-molecular-weight heparin(LMWH) irregularly.Group B(148 patients) received subcutaneous injection of LMWH routinely within the first 5 d after surgery,followed by oral warfarin and aspirin for one month regularly.The target prothrombin time/international normalized ratio(PT/INR) was 1.25-1.50.Platelet and PT/INR were monitored.Color Doppler imaging was performed to monitor PSVT as well as the effectiveness of thrombolytic therapy.RESULTS:The patients' data were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Among the patients,94 developed early postoperative mural PSVT,including 63 patients in group A(63/153,41.17%) and 31 patients in group B(31/148,20.94%).There were 50(32.67%) patients in group A and 27(18.24%) in group B with mural PSVT in the main trunk of portal vein.After the administration of thrombolytic,anticoagulant and antiaggregation therapy,complete or partial thrombus dissolution achieved in 50(79.37%) in group A and 26(83.87%) in group B.CONCLUSION:Regular anticoagulation therapy can reduce the incidence of PSVT in patients who undergo splenectomy with gastroesophageal devascularization,and regular anticoagulant therapy is safer and more effective than irregular anticoagulant therapy.Early and timely thrombolytic therapy is imperative and feasible for the prevention of PSVT. | Wei Lai Shi-Chun Lu Guan-Yin Li Chuan-Yun Li Ju-Shan Wu Qing-Liang Guo Meng-Long Wang Ning Li | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,26: | 46 |
| 5 | Mesenchymal stem cells derived from human placenta suppress allogeneic umbilical cord blood lymphocyte proliferation显示文摘ABSTRACTHuman placenta-derived mononuclear cells (MNC) were isolated by a Percoll density gradient and cultured in mesen-chymal stem cell (MSC) maintenance medium. The homogenous layer of adherent cells exhibited a typical fibroblast-like morphology, a large expansive potential, and cell cycle characteristics including a subset of quiescent cells. In vitrodifferentiation assays showed the tripotential differentiation capacity of these cells toward adipogenic, osteogenic andchondrogenic lineages. Flow cytometry analyses and immunocytochemistry stain showed that placental MSC was ahomogeneous cell population devoid of hematopoietic cells, which uniformly expressed CD29, CD44, CD73, CD105,CD166, laminin, fibronectin and vimentin while being negative for expression of CD31, CD34, CD45 and α-smoothmuscle actin. Most importantly, immuno-phenotypic analyses demonstrated that these cells expressed class I majorhistocompatibility complex (MHC-I), but they did not express MHC-II molecules. Additionally these cells could sup-press umbilical cord blood (UCB) lymphocytes proliferation induced by cellular or nonspecific mitogenic stimuli. Thisstrongly implies that they may have potential application in allograft transplantation. | 6 | SlMYB75,an MYB-type transcription factor,promotes anthocyanin accumulation and enhances volatile aroma production in tomato fruits显示文摘Genetic manipulation of genes to upregulate specific branches of metabolic pathways is a method that is commonly used to improve fruit quality.However,the use of a single gene to impact several metabolic pathways is difficult.Here,we show that overexpression of the single gene SlMYB75(SlMYB75-OE)is effective at improving multiple fruit quality traits.In these engineered fruits,the anthocyanin content reached 1.86mg g−1 fresh weight at the red-ripe stage,and these SlMYB75-OE tomatoes displayed a series of physiological changes,including delayed ripening and increased ethylene production.In addition to anthocyanin,the total contents of phenolics,flavonoids and soluble solids in SlMYB75-OE fruits were enhanced by 2.6,4,and 1.2 times,respectively,compared to those of wild-type(WT)fruits.Interestingly,a number of aroma volatiles,such as aldehyde,phenylpropanoid-derived and terpene volatiles,were significantly increased in SlMYB75-OE fruits,with some terpene volatiles showing more than 10 times higher levels than those in WT fruits.Consistent with the metabolic assessment,transcriptomic profiling indicated that the genes involved in the ethylene signaling,phenylpropanoid and isoprenoid pathways were greatly upregulated in SlMYB75-OE fruits.Yeast one-hybrid and transactivation assays revealed that SlMYB75 is able to directly bind to the MYBPLANT and MYBPZM cis-regulatory elements and to activate the promoters of the LOXC,AADC2 and TPS genes.The identification of SlMYB75 as a key regulator of fruit quality attributes through the transcriptional regulation of downstream genes involved in several metabolic pathways opens new avenues towards engineering fruits with a higher sensory and nutritional quality. | Wei Jian Haohao Cao Shu Yuan Yudong Liu Juanfang Lu Wang Lu Ning Li Jianhui Wang Jian Zou Ning Tang Chan Xu Yulin Cheng Yanqiang Gao Wanpeng Xi Mondher Bouzayen Zhengguo Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 39 |
| 7 | Contemporary crustal movement of continental China obtained by global positioning system(GPS) measurements显示文摘We obtain a unified horizontal velocity field of continental China and vicinity through measurements at 81 GPS stations provided by the National Key Infrastructure Project, Crustal Movement Observation Network of China. The velocity field delineates patterns of movements and deformation of active crustal blocks in continental China under the Eurasia-fixed reference frame. The space-based geodesy also clearly shows for the first time the horizontal movementand deformation of continental China induced by indentation of the Indian plate. | 8 | Mineralogical and geochemical features of sulfide chimneys from the 49°39′E hydrothermal field on the Southwest Indian Ridge and their geological inferences显示文摘During January–May in 2007,the Chinese research cruise DY115-19 discovered an active hydrothermal field at 49°39′E/37°47′S on the ultraslow spreading Southwest Indian Ridge (SWIR).This was also the first active hydrothermal field found along an ultraslow-spreading ridge.We analyzed mineralogical,textural and geochemical compositions of the sulfide chimneys obtained from the 49°39′E field.Chimney samples show a concentric mineral zone around the fluid channel.The mineral assemblages of the interiors consist mainly of chalcopyrite,with pyrite and sphalerite as minor constitunets.In the intermediate portion,pyrite becomes the dominant mineral,with chalcopyrite and sphalerite as minor constitunets.For the outer wall,the majority of minerals are pyrite and sphalerite,with few chalcopyrite.Towards the outer margin of the chimney wall,the mineral grains become small and irregular in shape gradually,while minerals within interstices are abundant.These features are similar to those chimney edifices found on the East Pacific Rise and Mid-Atlantic Ridge.The average contents of Cu,Fe and Zn in our chimney samples were 2.83 wt%,45.6 wt% and 3.28 wt%,respectively.The average Au and Ag contents were up to 2.0 ppm and 70.2 ppm respectively,higher than the massive sulfides from most hydrothermal fields along mid-ocean ridge.The rare earth elements geochemistry of the sulfide chimneys show a pattern distinctive from the sulfides recovered from typical hydrothermal fields along sedimentstarved mid-ocean ridge,with the enrichment of light rare earth elements but the weak,mostly negative,Eu anomaly.This is attributed to the distinct mineralization environment or fluid compositions in this area. | TAO ChunHui LI HuaiMing HUANG Wei HAN XiQiu WU GuangHai SU Xin ZHOU Ning LIN Jian HE YongHua ZHOU JianPing | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,26: | 34 |
| 9 | Clinical effects of continuous high volume hemofiltration on severe acute pancreatitis complicated with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome显示文摘AIM: To investigate the efficiency of continuous high volume hemofiltration (HVHF) in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) complicated with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).METHODS: A total of 28 SAP patients with an average of 14.36±3.96 APACHE Ⅱ score were involved. Diagnostic criteria for SAP standardized by the Chinese Medical Association and diagnostic criteria for MODS standardized by American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) were applied for inclusion. HVHF was started 6.0±6.1 (1-30) days after onset of the disease and sustained for at least 72 hours, AN69 hemofilter (1.2 m2)was changed every 24 hours. The ultrafiltration rate during HVHF was 4 000 mi/h, blood flow rate was 250-300 mi/min,and the substitute fluid was infused with pre-dilution. Low molecular weight heparin was used for anticoagulation.RESULTS: HVHF was well tolerated in all the patients, and lasted for 4.04±3.99 (3-24) days. 20 of the patients survived,6 patients died and 2 of the patients quited for financial reason.The ICU mortality was 21.4%. Body temperature, heart rate and breath rate decreased significantly after HVHF.APACHE Ⅱ score was 14.4±3.9 before HVHF, and 9.9±4.3after HVHF, which decreased significantly (P<0.01). Partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood before HVHF was 68.5±19.5 mmHg, and increased significantly after HVHF,which was 91.9±25 mmHg (P<0.01). During HVHF the hemodynamics was stable, and serum potassium, sodium,chlorine, glucose and pH were at normal level.CONCLUSION: HVHF is technically possible in SAP patients complicated with MODS. | 10 | Abnormal splenic artery diameter/hepatic artery diameter ratio in cirrhosis-induced portal hypertension显示文摘AIM:To determine an optimal cutoff value for abnormal splenic artery diameter/proper hepatic artery diameter(S/P) ratio in cirrhosis-induced portal hypertension.METHODS:Patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension(n = 770) and healthy volunteers(n = 31) underwent volumetric computed tomography threedimensional vascular reconstruction to measure the internal diameters of the splenic artery and proper hepatic artery to calculate the S/P ratio.The cutoff value for abnormal S/P ratio was determined using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis,and the prevalence of abnormal S/P ratio and associations between abnormal S/P ratio and major complications of portal hypertension were studied using logistic regression.RESULTS:The receiver operating characteristic analysis showed that the cutoff points for abnormal splenic artery internal diameter and S/P ratio were > 5.19 mm and > 1.40,respectively.The sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value were 74.2%,45.2%,97.1%,and 6.6%,respectively.The prevalence of an abnormal S/P ratio in the patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension was 83.4%.Patients with a higher S/P ratio had a lower risk of developing ascites [odds ratio(OR) = 0.708,95%CI:0.508-0.986,P = 0.041] and a higher risk of developing esophageal and gastric varices(OR = 1.483,95%CI:1.010-2.175,P = 0.044) and forming collateral circulation(OR = 1.518,95%CI:1.033-2.230,P = 0.034).After splenectomy,the portal venous pressure and maximum and mean portal venous flow velocities were reduced,while the flow rate and maximum and minimum flow velocities of the hepatic artery were increased(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:The prevalence of an abnormal S/P ratio is high in patients with cirrhosis and portal hypertension,and it can be used as an important marker of splanchnic hemodynamic disturbances. | Dao-Bing Zeng Chuan-Zhou Dai Shi-Chun Lu Ning He Wei Wang Hong-Jun Li | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,8: | 28 |
| 11 | Sleep and Cognitive Abnormalities in Acute Minor Thalamic Infarction显示文摘In order to characterize sleep and the cognitive patterns in patients with acute minor thalamic infarction(AMTI), we enrolled 27 patients with AMTI and 12 matched healthy individuals. Questionnaires about sleep and cognition as well as polysomnography(PSG) were performed on days 14 and 90 post-stroke. Compared to healthy controls, in patients with AMTI, hyposomnia was more prevalent; sleep architecture was disrupted as indicated by decreased sleep efficiency, increased sleep latency, and decreased non-rapid eye movement sleep stages 2 and 3;more sleep-related breathing disorders occurred; and cognitive functions were worse, especially memory. While sleep apnea and long-delay memory recovered to a large extent in the patients, other sleep and cognitive function deficit often persisted. Patients with AMTI are at an increased risk for hyposomnia, sleep structure disturbance,sleep apnea, and memory deficits. | 13 | Matrine attenuates oxidative stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis in doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity via maintaining AMPKα/UCP2 pathway显示文摘Oxidative stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis are involved in the pathogenesis of doxorubicin(DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity. Matrine is well-known for its powerful anti-oxidant and anti-apoptotic capacities. Our present study aimed to investigate the effect of matrine on DOX-induced cardiotoxicity and try to unearth the underlying mechanisms. Mice were exposed with DOX to generate DOX-induced cardiotoxicity or normal saline as control. H9 C2 cells were used to verify the effect of matrine in vitro.DOX injection triggered increased generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS) and excessive cardiomyocyte apoptosis, which were significantly mitigated by matrine. Mechanistically, we found that matrine ameliorated DOX-induced uncoupling protein 2(UCP2) downregulation, and UCP2 inhibition bygenipin could blunt the protective effect of matrine on DOX-induced oxidative stress and cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Besides, 50-AMP-activated protein kinase α2(Ampkα2) deficiency inhibited matrine-mediated UCP2 preservation and abolished the beneficial effect of matrine in mice. Besides, we observed that matrine incubation alleviated DOX-induced H9 C2 cells apoptosis and oxidative stress level via activating AMPKα/UCP2, which were blunted by either AMPKα or UCP2 inhibition with genetic or pharmacological methods. | 15 | Features of the EAP events on the medium-range evolution process and the mid-and high-latitude Rossby wave activities during the Meiyu period显示文摘In this paper,features for the evolution of the East Asia/Pacific(EAP) events and their association with high-and mid-latitude Rossby waves during the Meiyu period are analyzed on the medium-range time scale.It is shown that life cycles of the positive and negative EAP events cannot be simply regarded as 'mirror' each other.In the upper troposphere,downward propagations of Rossby wave packets both over high-and mid-latitude regions of Eurasian continent and over the Asian jet region are responsible for generating basic patterns of high-and mid-latitude anomaly centers of the events.In this layer,Rossby wave packets also propagate from the mid-latitude anomaly center to the high-latitude one.In the middle and lower troposphere,the formation of the subtropical anomaly center of the event is mainly attributed to the anomalous convective activity in the tropical Pacific warm pool.The northward Rossby wave energy dispersion from this center is favorable to the enhancement and maintenance of the mid-latitude anomaly center in the same layer.Finally,it might be hypothesized that typical features of the positive and negative EAP events in their mature phase result from the interaction between(or phase-locking of) respective anomalous circulations induced both by quasi-zonal Rossby wave packets embedded in upper troposphere westerly and by quasi-meridional Rossby wave packets in the background flow of the East Asian summer monsoon in the middle and lower troposphere. | BUEH Cholaw SHI Ning JI LiRen WEI Jie TAO ShiYan | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,4: | 23 |
| 16 | Fairness-Oriented Hybrid Precoding for Massive MIMO Maritime Downlink Systems with Large-Scale CSIT显示文摘Different from conventional cellular networks, a maritime communication base station(BS) has to cover a much wider area due to the limitation of available BS sites. Accordingly the performance of users far away from the BS is poor in general. This renders the fairness among users a challenging issue for maritime communications. In this paper, we consider a practical massive MIMO maritime BS with hybrid digital and analog precoding. Only the large-scale channel state information at the transmitter(CSIT) is considered so as to reduce the implementation complexity and overhead of the system. On this basis, we address the problem of fairness-oriented precoding design. A max-min optimization problem is formulated and solved in an iterative way. | 20 | Safety and efficacy of ciprofol vs.propofol for sedation in intensive care unit patients with mechanical ventilation:a multi-center,open label,randomized,phase 2 trial显示文摘Background:Ciprofol(HSK3486;Haisco Pharmaceutical Group Co.,Ltd.,Chengdu,China),developed as a novel 2,6-disubstituted phenol derivative showed similar tolerability and efficacy characteristics as propofol when applicated as continuous intravenous infusion for 12 h maintenance sedation in a previous phase 1 trial.The phase 2 trial was designed to investigate the safety,efficacy,and pharmacokinetic characteristics of ciprofol for sedation of patients undergoing mechanical ventilation.Methods:In this multicenter,open label,randomized,propofol positive-controlled,phase 2 trial,39 Chinese intensive care unit patients receiving mechanical ventilation were enrolled and randomly assigned to a ciprofol or propofol group in a 2:1 ratio.The ciprofol infusion was started with a loading infusion of 0.1-0.2 mg/kg for 0.5-5.0 min,followed by an initial maintenance infusion rate of 0.30 mg·kg^(-1)·h^(-1),which could be adjusted to an infusion rate of 0.06 to 0.80 mg·kg^(-1)·h^(-1),whereas for propofol the loading infusion dose was 0.5-1.0 mg/kg for 0.5-5.0 min,followed by an initial maintenance infusion rate of 1.50 mg·kg^(-1)·h^(-1),which could be adjusted to 0.30-4.00 mg·kg^(-1)·h^(-1)to achieve-2 to+1 Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale sedation within 6-24 h of drug administration.Results:Of the 39 enrolled patients,36 completed the trial.The median(min,max)of the average time to sedation compliance values for ciprofol and propofol were 60.0(52.6,60.0)min and 60.0(55.2,60.0)min,with median difference of 0.00(95%confidence interval:0.00,0.00).In total,29(74.4%)patients comprising 18(69.2%)in the ciprofol and 11(84.6%)in the propofol group experienced 86 treatment emergent adverse events(TEAEs),the majority being of severity grade 1 or 2.Drug-and sedation-related TEAEs were hypotension(7.7%vs.23.1%,P=0.310)and sinus bradycardia(3.8%vs.7.7%,P=1.000)in the ciprofol and propofol groups,respectively.The plasma concentration-time curves for ciprofol and propofol were similar.Conclusions:ciprofol is comparable to propofol with good tolerance and efficacy for sedation of Chinese intensive care unit patients undergoing mechanical ventilation in the present study setting.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT04147416. | Yongjun Liu Xiangyou Yu Duming Zhu Jun Zeng Qinhan Lin Bin Zang Chuanxi Chen Ning Liu Xiao Liu Wei Gao Xiangdong Guan | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9: | 19 |
